*Black screen*
"The world pushes us without mercy, and when some push back, the world points and cries---" The voice said.
"Who am I---? What am I---?"
...
"I--- I know who I am--- I am the protector of Pokemon all around the world. I may be created by humans, but that doesn't mean I must be insane like they think I am--- I am MEWTWO!"
"What are you blabbing on about?" The voice of a girl said.
"Hah!" Mewtwo said, opening his eyes.
"Amber!" Mewtwo said, shocked. He then looked around at the dark surroundings, and at the huge full moon. "It's one of those dreams again---" He added, as he looked at his shortened body.
"Of course, it's a dream!" Amber replied, happily floating around. "You were thinking about killing humans again, right?" She asked.
"They are the reason that I was brought into this world; Mewtwo, a killing machine." Mewtwo replied. "Why must I think otherwise of my capabilities?"
"You're so easily manipulated by your own thoughts!" Amber replied, as she floated and stopped right in front of Mewtwo's face. "Remember what you once said: 'The circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It's what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are'."
Mewtwo closed his eyes, thinking.
"Are you really willing to kill?" Amber asked.
"It was just an afterthought." Mewtwo replied, looking away. "I've met many humans that helped me, which made me believe that not all of them are the same as the cruel Giovanni." He added.
Amber giggled.
"Why are you always here?" Mewtwo asked, looking at her while squinting his eyes. "You died many years ago, yet you still talk to me as if you're alive till this day." He added.
"I don't know how I end up like this every once in a while too, Mewtwo." Amber replied, looking at her body. "It's weird for me, since you act like you knew me before we started meeting each other in these weird dreams." She added, looking around at the night landscape of an unknown town.
"You're the deceased daughter of Dr. Fuji. Our minds were linked when we were artificially created in a lab." Mewtwo said. "That is what the truth is, and you're a figment of my imagination."
"And I say that none of that is true!" Amber replied, rather in a cheerful tone.
"Then who are you?" Mewtwo asked. "Where are you?"
The sounds started echoing around, making everything barely understandable.
"I'm a gRoWn PeRsOn! I'Ve LiVeD mY LiFe iN tHe *inaudible* reGiOn! I'm TwEnTy-*inaudible* yEaRs oLd! I'M nOt a lITtLe cHild liKe I aPpEar in tHiS dREaM!"
"What?" Mewtwo said, looking at Amber. "I can't understand--- what region?"
Everything started to get dizzy, as if it were made out of jelly, wobbling around. Soon, things started to get darker and darker, as Amber continued to talk. Her voice had now turned completely inaudible, as if she were speaking through a slow and bad connection on the internet.
*Black Screen*
Mewtwo opened his eyes. He was lying on a tree branch, previously asleep. He got up and looked around at the surrounding grassy green terrain. "It was another of those dreams---" He said to himself, thinking. Suddenly, his eyes briefly glowed with a Psychic Blue Aura. "What? Okay, I'm coming!" He said to someone telepathically, before transforming into his Mega-Mewtwo Y form and blasting away.

Narrator: "Earlier, on The Unbreakable Bond---"
"Thanks, Reshiram---" Serena said, as Reshiram used her head to support Serena in standing upright.
The phone call was made, and Ash was left in the dark about what was about to unfold over in Kanto. As ordered, Ash, along with Serena and N, were required to stand by in Orre until nightfall, after which they are to continue on their mission of infiltrating the Kuria Region.
"So, how did it feel, Serena?" Ash asked. "You know, using the Bond Phenomenon?"
"It-- felt as if I was inside Delphox's body." Serena replied, looking at her hands.
"Yeah, it feels the same to me no matter which Pokemon I've bonded with." Ash said. "Although the feeling is a lot more clear when I bond with Greninja or Charizard." He added.
N looked up at Reshiram's face. "Reshiram--- where will you go now?" He asked.
Serena turned towards Reshiram's face, as she stood up on her feet. "Reshiram, would you join my team?" She asked.
Ash and N looked on, surprised. "What?" "Pi-Ka?!" Ash and Pikachu said, with popped open eyes.
"Don't you think that the White Chapter spoke of a Heroine instead of a Hero?" Serena asked. "Dawn's great at translating and deciphering this stuff, and even she said that mostly the scripts are written with gender-neutral pronouns." She added.
"Really?" N asked.
"That explains a lot, then." Ash said, thinking. "Is that what Reshiram thinks too?" He added, looking straight at the Vast White Pokemon.
*A Few moments later*
Ash, Serena, and N walked through the streets, along with Dawn who had joined up with them once again. Serena looked at a Pokeball in her hand. Professor Krane was nowhere to be seen, since he was needed to operate on the machine and purify Shadow Lugia.
"Well, that was easy." Ash said, looking at Serena.
"I guess." Serena replied, attaching the Pokeball to the red belt around her waist.
"What was easy?" Dawn asked.
"Catching Reshiram." Ash replied.
Dawn's eyes popped, as she turned towards Serena. "WHAT?! Really?!" She asked.
"Mhm." Serena replied, nodding. "I guess Reshiram was just waiting for me to trigger the Bond Phenomenon, which I just did moments ago." She added.
"Amazing--" Dawn said. "So now, each of you three have a part of the Original Dragon; N has the empty shell; Kyurem, Ash has the Dragon of Ideals; Zekrom, and Serena has the Dragon of Truth; Reshiram." She added. "You guys are carrying the Tao Trio around! A trio so legendary that most people who've heard of them will never get to see them!"
"That sounds correct." N said. "I just hope we can find the proper way to restore Kyurem to its original Power like General Lawrence asked us to do." He added.
Everyone sat down around a table at a café.
"Huh?" N said, as he felt something in his bag as he sat down on the chair. He took his bag off, and looked inside. Ash, Serena, and Dawn chatted among themselves.
"Did you know that the French language has 17 different ways to say 'surrender'?" Dawn said.
Suddenly, Ash let out a chuckle, before doing his best to contain his laughter. Pikachu did the same. Serena instantly looked at Ash with squinted eyes. "What's so funny?" She asked in a hostile manner, looking at Ash.
"Ahaahah!" Ash said, sweat-dropping. "Nothing!" He added. "Pika!" Pikachu added, in the same tone.
"What's the matter, N?" Dawn asked. "Is something wrong?" She added, looking at him by his side. Ash, Serena, and Pikachu also looked at N closely.
"This is weird." N said. "I don't recall bringing my copy of Pokemon Mythology with me." He added, as he took out a fat book that had patterns of Aura on it.
"How did you not notice that you were carrying a fat book?" Serena asked.
"It doesn't have any weight." N replied, raising the book up in the air and releasing it. The book fell down slowly as if it were a feather.
"Someone's used a power of Aura on it." Serena said, with glowing pink eyes. She could see a Psychic Blue Aura coming off of the book.
"It doesn't look like its mine." N said, looking at the thickness of the book. "Mine's a lot thinner than this one. This one's got around 33% more pages."
"Who does it belong to? Is there any name written on the first page?" Ash asked.
N opened the book, and saw some scribbling on it. He began saying out loud what the writing was: "This book is the property of the Captain of the Ultra Recon Squad. Return it after reading the Gray chapter, true King." He said.
"What?" Everyone said, shocked.
"Gray chapter?" Dawn asked.
"I didn't know a Gray chapter existed." N said, as he quickly skipped through the book, and stopped at the point where his copy lacked pages. "There it is--- the Gray chapter--- It's the missing pages from my copy of this book." He said, with wide open eyes.
"Well, what does it say?" Dawn asked.
"It's--- the complete history of Kyurem and why it came into existence!" N replied.
Ash, Serena, and Dawn insisted that N read out the Gray chapter's all 18 sections, and so he did. N read out loud the whole history of Arceus and Giratina's battle, and the fact that Kyurem and Necrozma were the two battle aces both Arceus and Giratina had up their sleeve.
Ash looked at the patterns of Aura on his gloves, and then at the two Aura crystals on them. "The Ultimate weapon--- Kyurem--- Necrozma-- and a Z-crystal that Necrozma used to transform and steal the light away from the star of Aurani Prime." He said, thinking. "What did that Z-Crystal look like, again? Does the book have a picture?" He asked.
N flipped the pages. "Yes. It does." He said, before showing the image of the Ultranecrozium-Z.
"That shape---" Ash said, observing the Z-crystal. "Hey Serena, do you have that Z-Ring I gave you way back in Kalos?" He asked.
"Yeah, I do." Serena replied, as she went for her pink purse and started searching through it. A few seconds later, she took out the Z-power Ring that had shifted to a white color after she wore it. "I never really got the chance to use it, so it's just been collecting dust in my bag." She said, showing Ash the Z-ring.
Ash grabbed the Z-ring, and looked at its crystal slot. "It's like I thought--- Look." He said, showing everyone the extended slot for the Z-crystals present in the ring. "The shape is the exact same. It's a complete match for the crystal." He added.
"You're right!" Serena said.
"The Gray chapter mentioned Necrozma eating the white sand along with the crystal. Could it be that the white sand is similar to the sand found in Alola? The same sand that Kahuna Hala uses to make Z-rings?" Ash asked.
"How can you be so sure about that?" Dawn asked Ash.
"Not much later after I began my journey through Kanto with Serena, I found myself in a situation with no Pokemon but just my Z-ring and a Waterium-Z in it. So I used my own powers of Aura to trigger the Z-move instead of relying on a Pokemon that knew a Water-type move. The Z-move worked, but it almost killed me, and caused the Z-ring to transform into pure white sand." Ash said. "I guess the sand in Alola and the one on Aurani Prime is connected or something." He added.
"Most likely." N said, before looking at the book in his hands. "There's so much in here to absorb--" He added.
Ash continued thinking. "Dad's Solgaleo once transformed when it was inside Ultra Space." He said. "Dad just twisted his black Z-Ring, which triggered the weird form." He added.
"Yeah, I remember that." Serena said.
"Don't you think that that form looked a lot like Necrozma fused with Solgaleo?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, now that you mention it, it did."
"But Necrozma wasn't anywhere. How did Solgaleo get parts of Necrozma on its body?"
"It probably has something to do with the black Z-ring Colonel Ketchum had for himself."
Ash nodded, and turned towards N. "Hey N--- the story says that Necrozma first had to fuse with Solgaleo and Lunala before it could achieve its Ultra form, right?" He asked.
"Yes." N replied. "It doesn't specify which one it was, but it was probably one of the two."
"After Necrozma was defeated, where do you think the Solgaleo or Lunala went that it had possessed?" Ash asked. "Whichever of the two it was, it must've had traces of Necrozma within its blood for sure, even after Necrozma was defeated." He added.
"According to the Gray chapter, the Warriors of Aura defeated Ultra Necrozma--" N said.
"-And then they brought the Solgaleo back as a trophy." Ash said, getting a light bulb moment. "Solgaleo must've been passed through generations or something, and ended up in Dad's possession now. It explains how he's casually carrying it around with no clue on where it came from whatsoever." He added. "It's an Ultra Beast, so I bet it has a long lifespan!"
"It could be possibly true." N replied.
Suddenly, someone spoke from the distance. "Very well. Clever indeed, Mr. Ketchum.". Everyone looked at the source, and saw Phyco sitting on a table, holding a cup of Tea. He took a sip from the cup, before quickly looking at the waiter in the distance. "Excuse me! I'd like some sugar over here! Thanks!" He said, before looking back at everyone.
"You!" Ash said, as he quickly got up on his feet. "Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed, as he quickly jumped off of Ash's shoulders and landed on the ground, looking at Phyco straight in the eye.
"There is no need for aggression." Phyco said, before snapping his fingers. All of a sudden, the book in N's hands disappeared, teleporting right on Phyco's table. "I am not here to fight. I am not easily provoked to do so." He added, before snapping his fingers once more, making Pikachu's body glow with a Psychic blue outline. Pikachu suddenly hovered in the air and got sent back over at Ash's shoulder. "Be good children and listen."
Ash had his hands inches away from the Pokeballs. He wanted to quickly call out Greninja and end this there and then, but his gut instinct told him to hold off, and hear out the mysterious man in white that had previously helped him.
"You're headed towards the Kuria Region in order to get in touch with Curator Aiden. Here's a piece of advice if you ever get the need to kill someone that's 'technically' immortal." Phyco said.
Ash suddenly got interested, and eased up a bit. "How do you know all of that?" He asked.
"I have a Psychic type Aura, Mr. Ketchum." Phyco said. "We may be lacking in athletic ability unlike you Fighting-Types, but Psychics tend to have an extremely high IQ; our biggest asset in battle. And yes, we do indeed watch Rick and Morty." He added.
Everyone stayed on their guard, but continued to listen.
"The only way to kill an immortal is to use another immortal for the job." Phyco said. "There's a handful of those on this planet, according to my research." He added.
"Use another immortal?" Ash asked.
"Yes. Just like how Diamonds are so strong that only Diamonds can cut through them, and like how Auranium ores are indestructible, but can be damaged using other Auranium attacks." Phyco replied.
"Just like how Charizard blasted through the trap that the Team Vitreus Grunts used earlier---" Ash said, with widening eyes. "Charizard used a Crystal Type move to break it---" He added.
"Ding ding ding! Correct answer once more, Mr. Ketchum!" Phyco said. "You should consider playing 'Who wants to be a Millionaire'." He added.
"Why are you helping us?" Ash asked.
"Because you've helped me, asking for nothing in return." Phyco replied.
"Help? What kind?"
"By keeping Zossie out of a prison cell. Where is she, by the way?"
"With Riley and Mars."
"Oh. I see."
"Who are you?"
Phyco giggled, rubbings his hands together, and then curling up his moustache. The waiter came over and gave him a small paper packet of sugar. Phyco casually tore the sugar packet open, and poured it in. He used a spoon to stir it, and then took another sip. "Ah-- just the right amount. Perfección." He said.
"Who are you? What do we call you?" Ash asked once more.
"Captain Phyco. Leader of the Ultra Recon Squad, Team 47." Phyco said. "Top of my league, and chosen to assemble this team all by myself in order to investigate Necrozma; a predator of intelligent humanoid organisms that has ties to your Solar System, as you already know. I will not share details on my true mission here with you, though." He added.
Suddenly, voices of assault rifles getting armed came from the whole surrounding area. There were SWAT officers everywhere, with their Colt M4 Carbines aimed straight at Phyco. The carbines were all equipped with red lasers, which were all pointing at Phyco's body.
"You're gonna share all the goddamn details." Lawrence's voice said, as he emerged from the SWAT team. He was accompanied by Perry, along with another officer that looked quite similar to Lt. Surge. It was probably someone related to him.
Ash looked at Lawrence, who was in his Interpol Uniform, sporting the stars on his shoulder marks proving his rank as the Commissioner General. The officer that resembled Lt. Surge had an identical shoulder mark on his shoulder.
"Commissioner General Surge." Lawrence said, looking at the officer. He was also a Commissioner General, but of the American Division of the International Police. "He's all yours." He said.
"Alright, Terrorist Alien punk!" CG Surge yelled. "You're gonna surrender to us, or we're gonna kill you right here and now!"
Phyco suddenly burst out laughing. "Heheheh! Me? Terrorist?" He asked. "What a joke."
"Yeah, YOU!" CG Surge replied, pointing at Phyco.
"You Americans think you're always the good guys. You like to label those that oppose you as 'Terrorists', you invade their lands, you destroy their natural law and order, and when insurgency gets ripe, you decide that its just a terrorist nation." Phyco said. "Terrorist---? YOU are the terrorist here! YOU are the ones pointing the guns at the unarmed person. If you wish to see the real terrorist, you need to look no further than a mirror. This democracy of hypocrisy might make you believe that somehow you're the good guy, but believe me, there is no such thing as a bad guy in a story. Only poorly written characters." He added.
"You think you can criticize us like that and we'll stay silent?!" CG Surge asked.
"Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things." Phyco replied. "By killing me here and now, you are only going to provide evidence that you indeed are the terrorists." He added, before taking a sip of tea.
"Hah! Are those really gonna be your last words?!" CG Surge asked.
"I am prepared to meet my maker." Phyco replied. "Whether my maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter." He added. "Besides, I possess the knowledge and expertise to wield the most powerful weapon in this entire universe, so I'm not quite afraid of anyone." Phyco said, before casually taking a sip from his tea, sitting on his chair all alone with his body aimed with numerous rifles. "The most powerful weapon in this entire universe is language." He said. "Words are extremely powerful, so I avoid unnecessary violence unlike you. As the Chinese General Sun Tzu used to say: 'All great battles are won without fighting'." He added.
Everyone looked at Phyco, completely stunned at his words. "BULLSHIT!" CG Surge yelled.
"There's another quote: 'If you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.'" Phyco said. "I know all about you, but you know next to nothing about me. That puts me in the favorable position here." He added. "I am not here to fight, and I don't think I need to remind you that I am unarmed, and am here just enjoying some Tea. I think I might try the Chai Latté next."
"Make him regret everything he said! Fire, Men!" CG Surge yelled.
All of the SWAT officers stood still, with their guns aimed at Phyco. They all had their fingers on the trigger, but neither pulled it and shot Phyco.
"What?!" CG Surge said, shocked. "Are you all disobeying a DIRECT ORDER?!"
Phyco smiled. "You can pay a man to grab a gun. You can pay a man to fight and take the hill. But you can never pay them to believe." He said. "These men all have their own ideals. They may be obedient to you, but no man abandons his ideals." He added.
Lawrence stood, thinking deep as he looked at Phyco, thinking of what his next step should be. His hands were tied in a way, as he was not on Japanese soil, and thus needed verification to take any action on American soil. The one calling the shots was right beside him, and was speaking and dealing with the situation in his own manner. CG Surge had formed a lowered fist in anger, as he continued thinking how Phyco managed to talk his men out of shooting him in cold blood.
Phyco looked around at the officers, some of whom had lowered their guns. He then looked at Ash and the rest in the distance as well, as he grabbed his book. "Some last words for Mr. Ketchum before I depart--- These words may seem confusing now, but they will, in time, be as clear as the crystals around the Tree of Beginning." He said, before taking out a thousand dollar bill and placing it on the table as payment for the tea he had. "Ask yourself this: Do we live, because we want to live or because we have to live? Do we survive to live, or live to survive? Does living hurt, or do we hurt, because we are alive? Do we cry because we gave up, or because we still have hope?" He asked.
An eerie silence filled the air, as Phyco continued to speak.
"What hope you ask---? The hope to stop surviving, and start living." Phyco said, before snapping his fingers. "Adios!" He said, before disappearing into thin air.
Ash looked on, confused. "What--- was that all about?" He asked himself in a low voice.
Everyone cleared out of the place, with Lawrence rushing off, leaving Perry with Ash and the rest. Ash was once more kept in the dark about the situation that was building up over in Kanto, and was ordered to just mind his own mission.
...
Narrator: "Hours earlier before the Convoy for Holon left, we join Riley and Mars inside Riley's apartment in Viridian City."
Riley and Mars were lying on a bed together, with a blanket covering their bodies.
"That was amazing---" Riley said, taking deep breaths.
"I found it on the internet." Mars replied, winking.
Moments passed by as the two talked about various stuff, holding each other's hands under the blanket. It was about 8 at night, and Riley's PokeGear suddenly ringed. Riley reached for the PokeGear placed on the side-table of the bed, picked it and looked at the screen.
"Afro?" Riley said, looking at the screen. "What does he want?" He said, before picking up the call.
"Ey yo! Riley! I'm here at this place, yo!" Afro said.
"At what place?" Riley asked.
"Man, shit's crazy here!" Afro said. "I'm followin' Giovanni! His bitch-ass is preachin'! He's preachin' in churches an' shit! You gotta join me on this!" He added.
Riley thought for a second. "Sorry, Afro--- I've got other business in just a few hours. I can't come along." He said.
"What? Aw, cmon, homeboy! What's there that's more important? Don't tell me yo' ass is plannin' on banging Mars all night!" Afro said.
Mars leaned towards Riley's PokeGear. "He doesn't have the stamina to do it all night, so don't worry!" She said.
"Mars!" Riley said with a reddened face, looking at her beside him. She was looking in his eyes with a teasing look in them, as she wrapped her arms firmly around Riley under the blanket, before licking her lips in a seductive manner.
"Ha!" Afro exclaimed. "I knew yo' ass was banging Mars! You're abandonin' a homie over a girl again?! I see how this is, playa'!" He said.
"No!" Riley said. "It's not that, Afro! I'm assigned to the convoy headed to the Holon Region! I won't be free for the next few days!" He added.
"Nu-uh-- Yo' ass is lyin', homie!" Afro said. "You get one girl over yo' dick, and yo' ass abandons me. I know how you roll--" He added.
"It's not true, Afro!" Riley protested. "Believe me!"
"Ahahah!" Afro laughed. "I'm just playin', homie--- I know about the convoy duty C.G. Lawrence put you on--- later. I'll check in if something eventful happens. Right now I'm just silently following this son of a bitch like the black ninja of the shadows---" He added, before ending the call.
Riley put the PokeGear back over at the side table, before he wrapped his arms around Mars, as the two began cuddling.
"How did you and Afro get so close anyways?" Mars asked Riley.
"It's a long story--" Riley replied.
"I'm all ears." Mars said, snuggling under his arm. Riley then began telling about Afro, as he went into flashback mode.
...
Many years ago, at a school in Rota.
A Black skinned boy sat in the steps of a school, looking at the grounds with a bit of tears in his eyes. He had an afro as his hairstyle, and was in typical school uniform. It was near midday, and recess was ongoing.
"Why did I have to be black?" The boy asked himself. "They all make fun of my skin color, and tell me to turn my skin white--- It's not my fault I'm black---" He added, with lowered head as tears continued shedding down his eyes.
Another boy with spiky dark blue hair, clear skin, and blue eyes came up from behind, and stood beside the crying young boy. "They're scared of us now. Don't worry. They'll be up against us both if they pick on you again." The blue-eyed boy, Riley said.
The crying boy didn't respond, and just looked at the ground.
"Hey--- You don't have to be like that. Let's be friends, okay? What's your name? My name's Riley." The blue eyed boy said, forwarding his hand.
The other boy looked at Riley's hand for a few seconds, before forwarding his own. "My name's Randy." He replied, shaking Riley's hand.
"Great! Nice to meet you, Randy!" Riley said, as he sat down next to Randy on the steps. The two looked around at the school grounds, where most of the kids were minding their own business, playing around while some stared at them, gossiping about 'The weird spiky haired kid that beat up the bullies who were harassing the black kid'.
Riley was returning from the nurse's office, since he had broken the jaws of the bullies by punching them too hard in the face. He was let off the hook since he was the grandson of the King of Cameran Palace.
"Why'd you help me?" Randy asked. "Why didn't you laugh like the rest of them?"
"I--- think you're cool." Riley replied in a laid back manner, looking in the far distance, where Cameran Palace was visible; his home.
"Cool?" Randy asked, surprised.
"Yeah!" Riley said. "I think your hair is the coolest thing ever! Look at how curly it is! It just builds up over your head and makes an Afro!" He added, before holding his own spiky blue hair. "Compared to yours, mine are just all over the place! Can't get these things tame at all!" He said, trying to pull his hair back, only to have them instantly snap back into the style they were previously in.
Randy giggled. "Your hair's cool too, Spike!" He said, referring to Riley as 'Spike'.
"Hey! Don't call me Spike!" Riley said. "How'd you feel if I called you 'Afro'?" He asked.
"Afro?" Randy asked. "That sounds like a totally awesome nickname!" He added, forming a fist.
Riley sighed. "Yeah, well I'm still not cool with being called Spike." He said. "I have a pet Rockruff that my sister's named Spike." He added. "Although it belongs to my grandpa, my sister cares for it."
"Oh, no wonder you got worked up over being called that--" Randy said. "But I'm totally cool with being called Afro!" He added.
"Alright, Afro." Riley said. "That's your nickname from now on. Friends?" He asked.
"Friends."
...
Moments later, outside the school.
Riley and Afro were both walking down the street out of the school.
"Hey, Afro! Where do you live?" Riley asked.
"Uh-- Just down the street." Afro replied.
"Mind if I come over? I'd love to meet your Mom!" Riley said.
"Sorry, Man--- My Mom isn't alive." Afro replied, lowering his head a bit.
Riley's eyes widened. "Huh? What do you mean? What happened to her?"
"My Pops says that she died shortly after I was born." Afro replied.
"I--- I'm so sorry, Afro." Riley said. "I didn't know that---" He added.
"It's alright." Afro said. "Where do you live, Riley?" He asked.
Riley instantly began sweat-dropping. "Uh--um-- uh--- I just remembered something important that I had to take care of! I gotta go!" He said nervously. He quickly took out a piece of paper and handed it over to Afro. "This here's my landline number. Call me at 5 and we'll hang out somewhere!" He added, before running away.
Afro looked at the piece of paper, and then at Riley in running off in the distance. He then smiled, before continuing on his way back home. Moments later, he opened the door and entered his small house in the town of Rota.
Afro's Dad; General Alex sat on a chair, reading a newspaper in the living room. He looked at Afro close the door as he walked in, announcing that he was back home. Alex had a lit up cigarette in his hand, which he quickly put out in the nearby ashtray.
"You know I can notice when you're smokin', pops." Afro said, noticing the rising smoke that Alex was trying to hide from his son.
Alex sweat-dropped. "Well, I made yo' mama a promise to quit after I'd become a father and uh--- guess I feel guilty when I see ya'." He said, scratching his head.
"You could just have a smoke out in the balcony, Pops!" Afro said, with a cheerful tone. "That way, there'd be no smell in the house!" He added.
"Well, looks like you're in a good mood." General Alex said, looking at Afro and noticing his smile. "Somethin' good happen today?" He asked.
"Yeah, Pops!" Afro replied enthusiastically. "I made a friend!"
General Alex smiled. "That's good to hear, Son." He said. "See? I knew the folks would someday look through your skin and see the good person you really are!" He added, before getting up on his feet and patting Afro's head. "Now go get changed outta the school uniform. I got sushi for lunch." General Alex said, as Afro smilingly ran off to his room to get changed.
Meanwhile, over at Riley.
Riley opened the huge main door of the Palace, before entering it. He closed the huge door behind him and instantly got greeted by his pet Rockruff named 'Spike'.
"Ruff! Ruff!" Spike exclaimed, running up to Riley. Spike was a Rockruff with an alternate coloration, as he was blue in color instead of the usual brown color his species had.
"Hey, Spike!" Riley said, as Spike ran up to him and jumped, making him fall on his back. Spike continued licking Riley's face in affection, while Riley continued to tell him to stop it while laughing loudly. Suddenly---
"RILEY!!!" The loud echoing voice came, that belonged to Riley's Mother. She was completely fired up, having fireballs in her eyes. She looked at Riley with complete anger in her eyes.
"AH! Mom!" Riley said, startled with popped open eyes and his body completely white from fear. "Wh-Wh--- why are you mad at me, Mom?" He asked while scared to his bone, sweat-dropping all over the place. Spike was in his arms and completely scared as well, as the two looked at Riley's fired up and angry Mother.
"What is the meaning of THIS?!" Riley's Mom yelled at him. "I got a CALL from the principal today, and he told me that you had a FIGHT?!" She yelled.
"MOM! I can explain!" Riley said, scared shitless.
"LET ME KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO THAT THICK SKULL OF YOURS FIRST!" Riley's Mom yelled, as she rolled up her sleeves and cracked her knuckles. Riley trembled in fear, ready to get a beating, when suddenly---
"No, Mother! Stop!" Ilene yelled, as she suddenly ran in and stood in between Riley and her Mom. She was also in her school uniform.
"Ilene?" Riley and Ilene's Mother said, looking at her daughter before her. "What is it?" She asked with a sudden gentle calmness in her voice.
Ilene went on and explained everything about Afro being bullied every day in school, and the fact that Riley beat up the bullies today. After hearing the whole story, Riley's Mom dropped her anger and went away, telling them to change their uniforms and come to the food table to get lunch.
"Thanks a lot, Sis! I owe you one!" Riley said, forming a thumbs up sign. "Ruff-Ruff!" Spike added, wagging his tail around cheerfully.
Ilene sighed. "You should be more careful, Riley!" She said. "I can't always be getting you out of trouble!" She added.
Riley rubbed the back of his head. "Ahah--- Yeah, I'll be more careful next time---" He said, before walking away along with Spike.
Some years later---
Riley and Afro were now teenagers, and sat together on a bed inside Afro's room. They were both looking at a car magazine. "Man! I gotta convince my Mom to get me the RX-7! It's the best cornering vehicle! It says so here!" Riley said, as he looked at pictures of cars.
"You still on that stuff with impressin' Jessica?" Afro asked Riley. "She a ho', bro!" He added.
"No way!" Riley said. "Once I show her my mad skills as a driver! She'll be my girlfriend for sure!" He added, forming a fist.
Afro shook his head. "Forget that-- look at that car!" He yelled, pointing at a small picture at the corner of the magazine page.
"Huh? That car?" Riley said, looking at the picture. "A Mustang. Huh." He said. "Next thing you know I'm mowing the crowds around the corners!" He added.
"Nu-uh!" Afro exclaimed, as he stood up with an American passion and fire in his eyes. "The definition of the progress and evolution of All-American engineering, sporting a 4.6L V8, and 300 horses under the hood! It's THE MUSTANG, BABY!" He continued yelling out loud, as a hypothetical American flag waved behind him while a Braviary went 'Caw!' while flying away with its proud American themed red, blue, and white colored wings open wide.
"Oh---" Riley said, reading the details on the mustang. "So it's an American car. You're an American, so that's why you like it---" He added.
"YEAH! AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!" Afro yelled on the top of his lungs, standing on the bed while looking at the posters of the various classic American Muscle cars posted on the walls.
"Okay, calm down, Afro!" Riley said. "I'll get the Mustang--- happy?"
...
"And that's basically how it went down." Riley said, going out of his flashback mode.
"No wonder you got really close over the years." Mars said.
Riley nodded. Moments passed by, and Riley began talking about his car: the Silver Mustang, a.k.a Siltang.
"Lawrence has a new car ready for me in the Holon research lab." Riley said. "I don't know how I feel about leaving my Siltang after all these years." He added. "It's like a part of me now. I've driven it for as long as I can remember, making upgrades along the way."
"Why do you have to switch to a newer car?" Mars asked.
"The new car is a Silver GT86. It was custom built out of Auranium Ore, and is just waiting for the engine from my Siltang. They've also had its computer system completely compatible with Porygon-Z in mind to the point where Porygon can drive the thing completely independent from me." Riley replied.
"What's so great about the newer car? Can't the Siltang be upgraded again like its been for years?" Mars asked.
"It's completely made out of Auranium Ore, so it's super lightweight." Riley replied. "And since Auranium is basically indestructible, I'll have a theoretically bulletproof car that I can completely use my powers with, thanks to the Auranium in its core." He added.
"Oh-- I see." Mars said. "I hope you'll teach me how to drift in that one too!" She added.
"You're not good enough in the Siltang." Riley said. "But I guess a much lighter vehicle would be suited to you." He added.
Moments passed by, as the two continued their conversation. Riley was laughing at the moment, after Mars had finished telling him about a time when she was working for Team Galactic; Saturn had slipped on wet floor and accidentally kissed Cyrus on the lips.
"I'd pay a fortune to see that." Riley said, containing his laugher.
Mars giggled, covering her mouth. She then thought about something that made her expression go serious all of a sudden. "Hey Riley--- I wanted to tell this to you earlier, but I've realized something." Mars said.
"What's that?" Riley asked.
"I'm pregnant." Mars responded.
Complete silence was in the air. Riley just looked at the ceiling, while thinking about something deeply. Mars looked at Riley's face, with his arm around her.
"Are you sure?" Riley asked.
"I used a kit. It says positive." Mars replied.
"I see." Riley said, as he got up. He was shirtless under the blanket, and was only wearing his boxer shorts that had mega-Lucario print on it. Riley suddenly began getting dressed up.
"What are you doing?" Mars asked, confused.
"Get ready. We're going out." Riley replied. "Wake Zossie up too." He added.
Riley drove his Siltang on the roads of Viridian City. Mars was seated beside him, and Zossie was in the back.
"Okay, let me get this straight---" Zossie said. "You're pregnant?"
Mars nodded, smiling while blushing a bit.
"That's so great! Congratulations! I can't wait to find out if its a boy or a girl!" Zossie screamed. "But where are we going?" She asked all of a sudden.
"To the local courtroom. I know a guy and I've already texted him to prepare the stuff." Riley replied.
"Wait, what?" Mars asked. "What courtroom? For what?"
Riley slowed down the car, and pulled over to the side of the road. He sighed, and looked at Mars. "Look--- the thing is, there's certain guidelines in my family regarding to having children." He said. "Since you know, we're a royal family with tradition and all."
"Like what?" Mars asked.
"I already was planning on doing this, but I guess this is as good a time as any." Riley said. "Our family doesn't allow raising a child out of wedlock." He said.
"Wait." Zossie said. Mars was looking on confused, trying to process what was happening. "Aren't Sir Ashton and Miss Serena expecting children?" Zossie asked.
Riley turned towards Zossie. "Lawrence is more liberal compared to my old man and Mother, so he isn't exactly forcing Ash to marry according to tradition." He said. "Although it sure was a welcome surprise that he decided to marry her regardless of the news." He added.
"What is happening?" Mars said, as she looked into Riley's eyes. "What are you trying to tell me?" She asked.
"Well, like I said, I was already planning on doing this, so--- will you marry me?" He asked, reaching for his vest and taking out a ring. The ring had a Keystone on it; it was the same ring that was given to Queen Rin by Sir Aaron a thousand years ago, and the same ring that was passed down in the family. The same ring the Ilene wore during Gym battles.
"R-R---Riley---" Mars said, as she began shaking.
Moments passed by, as Riley just looked into Mars' eyes with complete calmness in them, as if this was the most natural thing in the universe, Zossie looked on with her hands covering her face while gasping, and Mars just frozen, tearing up.
"Is it a no?" Riley asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No! No!-- I mean- Yes! It's a yes!" Mars said, trembling and completely confused as to what she was supposed to say. "I mean--- Just give me the goddamn ring!" She added, forwarding her left hand, allowing Riley to put a ring on her finger.
The two kissed right after, while Zossie continued recording the scene before her on her PokeGear.
Moments later, Riley continued driving on.
"So we're getting married---" Mars said, still trembling a bit. "We're getting married now--- we're headed to the courtroom, and we're getting married---" She added. "But why so rushed? Can't we wait and have a ceremony and invite our friends and family?" She asked.
"Lawrence tells me things are going to get serious in Holon." Riley said. "Ash is heading to Kuria, trying to gain a favor from Aiden who saw Kyurem being split from one to three." He added. "I've a feeling we won't have time to properly do this until the baby is already born. My dead Mother is probably looking at me from above and is going to be disappointed in me if I don't do this sooner."
"Oh, I see---" Mars said, lowering her head and firmly gripping her white dress.
"We're here." Riley said, pulling over and getting out. He quickly walked over to Mars' side and opened the door for her, before forwarding his arm. Mars grabbed Riley's hand and stepped out of the car, and stood up straight right in front of him. She couldn't stop blushing at all. "Riley--- you've really surprised me--" She said, lowering her head.
"You did too." Riley replied. "Come on, We can rent a bridal outfit in there too. A live stream can take care of our relatives watching the ceremony." He added. "Start calling and texting everyone."
Moments later, Riley and Mars stood before each other in a room that was decorated for the wedding. The judge stood at the side, looking at the two. Riley was wearing a black tuxedo, while Mars wore a huge white dress that was populated by red roses just like the color of her eyes and hair. Zossie stood in the back, dressed as the maid of honor.
The judge, who was also a priest did his thing as both Mars and Riley said their vows to each other.
"Mars and Riley, you have expressed your love to one another through the commitment and promises you have just made. It is with these in mind that I pronounce you husband and wife. You have kissed a thousand times, maybe more. But today the feeling is new. No longer simply partners and best friends, you have become husband and wife and can now seal the agreement with a kiss. Today, your kiss is a promise."
...
"You may kiss the bride."
Many moments later---
Riley, Mars, and Zossie were back in the car, as they made their way back home. They were all back in their usual outfits. Everyone had slushies in their hand.
"I really wished Ash and Serena could watch the wedding stream." Riley said, before taking a sip from his cup.
"Its 5AM over in the Orre Region, so you can't blame them." Mars replied. "You could've waited a bit!"
"Hey, I can't just make the guys in the courtroom stay up so late just because I needed to get married!" Riley said.
"Oh, really?" Mars replied. "Then I should've just said NO!"
"Will you two knock it off?" Zossie said, looking on from the back. "You just got married minutes ago, and you're already fighting like an old married couple!" She added. "Try looking at the positive things instead of the negative ones. That's how my Mommy and Daddy used to live together!"
Both Riley and Mars looked at each other for a second. The intense expressions on their faces diminished, and then they smiled. "I guess it was great that Delia and Lawrence were able to watch us get married." Riley said. "Ilene was watching too. She couldn't believe that I was suddenly ready to get married. She liked bugging me about it. I guess a lot of them were watching."
"Yes." Mars replied, smiling. "And so was Silver, Aunt Lusamine and her children Lillie and Gladion." She added. "The whole Aether Foundation employees were watching too" She said, blushing intensely.
"Feels eerie." Riley said. "I'm a husband now--- and I'm going to be a father too." He added.
"And I'm a wife now." Mars said. "And I'm going to be a mother too." She added, looking at her belly.
Zossie sat in the back, and looked at the bouquet in her hands. "What was it that you were saying back there about catching the bouquet?" She asked. "There wasn't anyone else so I caught it anyways."
"It's said that the girl that catches the bouquet thrown by the bride will have good romantic luck in the future, and will get married soon too!" Mars said.
"Huh? Really?" Zossie asked.
"You're what? 13? You're just a few years away from being of age---" Mars said. "Do you have a boy in mind?" She asked teasingly.
"Hah-- I don't." Zossie replied, placing the bouquet off of her lap.
"Hmm-- What about that boy that you like to quarrel with?" Mars said. "Isn't he Ash's legally adopted son, but one of his ancestors from the past?" She asked, looking at Riley.
"Oh yea." Riley replied. "Spark." He added. "Spark Ketchum. The orphaned son of Henry Ketchum; Sir Aaron's cousin."
"Yeah! What do you think of marrying Spark, Zossie?" Mars asked, looking at Zossie teasingly.
"Wh-What?!" Zossie said, as her cheeks lit up in embarrassment. "No way am I going to ever marry that annoying guy! He gets on my every nerve!" She yelled.
"Aww---" Mars said. "It's a love-hate relationship already! You both are so close!" She added. "You'll make a great couple some day!"
"N-No!" Zossie said, as her face went full red. "Not in a million years!"
"Yeah, right." Mars said, before looking at Riley. "People change. Sometimes quicker than you think." She added.
Riley looked at the time. "It took us less than an hour to get married after finding out you were pregnant." He said. "That has to be a record." He added.
...
Hours later, near the Convoy en-route to the Holon Region.
Agent Dulse peeked at the dark road from a bush, eyeing it. He turned around, and looked at Jupiter, who was ready to take orders.
"Where's Saturn?" Dulse asked, looking at Jupiter.
"Back there." Jupiter replied. "He's complaining about his ass looking weird in the outfit Phyco made for him." She added.
"Captain Phyco is an inventor of immeasurable talent and knowledge." Dulse said. "He's not exactly the best tailor, though. Saturn! Report now!" He added, yelling as he said the last sentence.
Saturn emerged from a few bushes in the distance.
"This makes me feel uncomfortable." Saturn said, adjusting his tight pants. "They make my ass pop." He added.
"Makes me wanna spank it." Jupiter said, licking her lips while staring at Saturn's posterior.
"Whining about it won't make them loose." Dulse said. "Stay ready to fight. You did get accustomed to the move sets of the Ultra Beasts that you were both given, right?" He asked, looking at Jupiter and Saturn. Both nodded in response. "Good." Dulse said. "Now, we just play the waiting game." He added, taking out a Beast Ball and pressing its button.
*Pop*
"Stakatakaaa--!!" Stakataka screeched, coming out of its Beast Ball.
"Stakataka, disassemble." Dulse said, looking at the Ultra Beast.
The Stakataka instantly disassembled its body into the numerous brick-like digits it was made out of. Dulse signaled Stakataka, as it formed a line of bricks that went out towards the dark road and lined up in a straight line, ready to form a wall at any given time.
"Mars is gonna be in the convoy, right?" Jupiter asked.
"Do you wish to save her?" Dulse asked, pressing a button on his glasses as he turned on heat vision.
Jupiter and Saturn looked at each others faces. The two thought for a moment, before turning back to Dulse. "Yeah." Saturn said. "She may have teamed up with the enemy for now, but once we tell her we're bringing back Master Cyrus, she'll join us in a heartbeat." He added.
"Okay." Dulse said. "It makes things a bit complicated, but I think we can still manage. If she says no, I'll kill her there and then." He added, as he looked in the far distance, as the Siltang approached, leading the convoy. Dulse could see Riley and Mars' heat signatures, and Zossie's heat signature in the back seat. "Avoid hitting the passenger seat. That's where Mars is." He said.
Stakataka's brick-like digits screeched in response, acknowledging the instruction.
"Also---" Dulse said. "Have no mercy on the Driver, and that brat in the back seat. I don't give a flying fuck if she dies." He added, squinting his eyes in a cold manner. "Our highest priority is getting the prisoner back unscratched, and then Mars. You're allowed to kill anyone else that comes in the way."
"Didn't Phyco order us explicitly to not cause any harm to anybody?" Jupiter asked. "He gave us the literal gadgets that'll kill all of their technology and force the vehicles to stop." She added.
"Well, too bad it's gonna be an unfortunate accident." Dulse said. "Do you wanna play 'careful with the bad guys' or do you wanna do your fuckin' job so you can get your Master Cyrus back?"
Jupiter and Saturn both grinned. "Now that's more like it." Jupiter said. "I've been itching to really hurt someone using this powered up suit. Looks like I finally get the chance." She added, as her eyes glowed with a Psychic violet Aura, along with the rings on her suit.
Dulse pressed a button over his wrist, suddenly causing Jupiter's suit to power down, losing the powers of Aura. "What?" She said, surprised.
Dearie: "Auranium Scrambler: Activated. Range: 50 meters. Intensity: Maximum. Remaining power: 99%."
"Nobody can use powers of Aura in a 50 meter radius from me now." Dulse said. "I'll be syncing the scrambler with your suits so its stopped when you attack, and active when they return attacks, assuming any of them has Auranian powers." He added.
...
Moments later, over at Riley, Mars, and Zossie.
Riley and Mars were in the Sil-Tang, along with Zossie in the back seat. Their car was up front, followed by a few more Interpol patrol cars. In the middle was a tank that was carrying Soliera in it. The whole road was illuminated by the headlights of the vehicles, as it was early morning around 3AM in Kanto compared to Orre where it was near midday. Riley was on a call with Afro.
"What? Speak clearly, Afro!" Riley said, looking at the display screen on the dashboard.
"Man! It's these bitch ass Rockets! They on my ass like the American government after its discovered oil in a 3rd world country!" Afro replied.
"What?! Team Rocket is attacking you?!" Riley asked. Mars and Zossie quietly listened on, with surprise and fear in their eyes.
"Yeah! These bitches ain't playin', man! They be firing machine guns at me! Where the hell did these sons-a-bitches get their hands on them?!" Afro said, continuing. "I'm at a small town west of Viridian City! Get yo' ass up in here and get someone else to do yo' job!"
"Just hang on, Afro! I'm coming to back you up!" Riley yelled.
"These bitches is gon' kill me! I don't know if you realize this, but black people ain't bulletproof! We die first in every movie!" Afro yelled.
"Just hang tight! I need just a second for clearance to break off! Regular backup should be en-route to you!" Riley said, before Porygon-Z terminated the call. "Porygon! Dial a call straight to Uncle Lawrence! Now!"
"Pory-pory--Zee!" Porygon-Z replied on-screen, before getting to work.
Mars looked at Riley. Are you sure about this?" She asked. "Can't Afro use the usual backup?"
"No." Riley replied. "We protected each other since back when we were kids. He's asking for my help, so it's definitely serious. I'd be betraying him by not helping now." He added, before looking at the screen.
*Beep*
"Riley?!" Lawrence's voice came.
At the same time, in the distant woods, thumping noises came, that belonged to some Pokemon with white/blue legs. Dust blew around as the Pokemon continued to charge through the woods, using its sense of smell to track the position of Dulse. It drooled, breathing with its mouth open.
Meanwhile, back at Riley.
"Lawrence! I had a request--"
"Stay on HIGH ALERT!" Lawrence yelled, cutting Riley off.
"What?" Riley asked. "What's going on?"
"We have reason to believe that The Ultra Recon Squad is about to attack the convoy!" Lawrence said.
Zossie instantly looked at the screen with widened eyes. "What?!"
"How can you claim that, Sir?" Mars asked Lawrence. Everyone's sights were set on the screen, when suddenly, in the distance on the road---
A few tiny brick-like objects were lying around the road. As soon as the convoy got closer, the bricks assembled together and formed a huge wall in a matter of seconds.
"RILEY! BRAKES!" Mars yelled, as she looked ahead.
"WHAT?!" Riley said, shifting his sights towards the road. He quickly slammed the brake pedal.
*Tire screeching*
*Black screen*
*Heavy breathing*
*BOOM*
Riley opened his eyes, as he saw everything in slow-motion. His hands were gripped on to the steering wheel, as the car had crashed through the Stakataka wall. The car was airborne, and was in the process of rolling over. He could see the asphalt below rolling, and slowly go upwards, switching places with the black sky.
He looked ahead, as he saw another wall made by Dulse's Stakataka. Suddenly, huge metallic silver spikes emerged from the wall, pointed straight at Riley's car. "Oh, FUCK YOU!" Riley yelled, as his pupils dilated. He instinctively closed his eyes, bracing for impact.
*BOOM* *Glass shattering*
Suddenly, all of the vehicles in the convoy slammed the brakes, coming to a halt. Riley's car suddenly blew into flames. The flames got instantly pushed away, before revealing a large blue Aura shield that had been formed by Riley. The doors blasted away, before Riley, Mars, and Zossie stepped out of the vehicle. Mars had some blood coming out of the side of her forehead as a result of the shattered glass, but nothing too serious. Zossie seemed unscratched thanks to her armor.
The doors of all the vehicles blew open, and all of the special SWAT units hopped out, armed to the teeth with rifles, and covered in armor. The black tank of the convoy also armed its turret, ready to fire at potential targets.
"Riley! Are you alright?" Mars asked, as she looked at Riley, who was holding his right forearm in pain.
"Y-Yeah" Riley replied, with noticeable pain in his voice. "Just a kickback from the Aura Shield. I think I broke a bone while trying to form the shield." He added, before turning towards the Stakataka walls.
The bricks assembled, turning into two Stakataka. Suddenly, Dulse, Jupiter, and Saturn jumped from the darkness, approaching Riley and the rest.
"FREEZE!" The unnamed Squad leader of the SWAT Team yelled at Dulse and his team. They all pointed their rifles straight at them.
Dulse looked at the SWAT Team. "Oh, fuck off." He said, before turning towards Saturn. Saturn nodded in response, with glowing silver eyes. Suddenly, all of the rifles glowed with a silver color, before their barrels twisted and turned, making them point straight at the officers holding them; rendering the weapons completely useless. "And that too." Dulse said, as he looked at the tank behind the SWAT Team, as its huge cannon also glowed and turned 180 degrees, pointed straight at the hatch.
"Don't think we're that easy to get rid of!" The squad leader of the SWAT team yelled, as he went for his pocket and took out a Pokeball. All the other officers did the same, taking out Pokeballs as well.
"Jupiter--- Saturn---" Dulse said. "Deal with them."
Saturn pointed his hands towards the SWAT officers, as his eyes and hands glowed with a silver-blue Aura. The officers quickly pressed the buttons of the Pokeballs, but instead of the Pokeballs releasing the Pokemon contained in them, they did nothing.
"WHAT?!" The officer said, looking at the small Pokeball that wasn't responding to its button being clicked at all.
Suddenly, Jupiter looked at all the SWAT officers with glowing Psychic violet eyes. "Hypnosis!" She yelled, as she released as powerful wave of energy that hit all of the officers, causing them to drop down and go unconscious in an instant. In a split-second, Riley raised both his arms and put up an Aura Shield that protected him, Mars, and Zossie from the attack.
"You missed the three biggest threats!" Dulse yelled at Jupiter, seeing that Riley, Mars, and Zossie went unaffected by the Hypnosis attack.
"Uh-- Sorry!" Jupiter replied. She looked at a small dial on her suit, which marked a large amount of Auranium used up due to using such a powerful move. "I'm down to 33% power." She said.
"I'll deal with them myself!" Dulse said as he quickly then smashed his fists and unsheathed a silver spear. He aimed the spear straight for Zossie who was standing a step behind Riley and Mars. He wasted zero time in throwing the spear straight towards her face. The spear hit Riley's Aura Shield and went through it as if the thing didn't even exist there in the first place.
"No!" Riley yelled, with glowing blue eyes. He tried to use his powers, but because of the scrambler in Dulse's possession, his powers were useless. The spear continued glowing, as it went on seemingly unaffected, aimed straight at Zossie's face; the only unarmed part of her whole body.
*Krrgh*
The spear's tip went straight through Riley's right shoulder, severing it completely. The spear deflected from its original path due to that, and hit Zossie's helmet.
*BOOM*
Dust kicked off and cleared, revealing Zossie standing still while covering her face with closed eyes. There was a powerful Aura Shield coming from her helmet now, which was completely covering her body. The shield had a Psychic Blue color.
"Aghg!" Riley screamed in pain, dropping down on the asphalt. He felt as if he was getting a seizure of sorts, as he looked at his whole arm lying lifelessly in front of him, completely detached from his body. Blood gushed out of the severed arm like a fountain, along with Riley's shoulder.
"Riley, NOO!" Mars screamed, as she quickly grabbed her husband, stabilizing him. Her white clothing instantly got stained red.
Zossie completely covered her mouth, scared as she looked at Riley struggling to maintain his consciousness, enduring the mental shock of losing a limb. She looked at the strong shield of Aura that had activated without her knowledge or command.
"Hey, brat!" Dulse's voice came from the distance, as the remaining dust cleared and revealed his steel silver glowing eyes. He then looked at Riley on the ground next to Zossie, being held down by Mars who was doing her best to cover up Riley's wound and avoid blood loss. "Tsk. Tsk. Tsk-- Maybe I should just put you out of your misery here and now." He said, as his eyes glowed with an intense Silver Aura, before he smashed his fists together and unsheathed another huge silver spear.
"RILEY!" Mars screamed, looking at him in the eye. Riley was getting close to unconscious.
"Your fuckboy's gonna die soon." Jupiter said, grinning. "It's time you knocked off with this nonsense and came with us. We're getting closer and closer to bringing back Master Cyrus." She added.
Mars looked at Jupiter, with wide open eyes. Zossie quickly looked at Riley, with her feet shaking. "Wh-What do I do?" She said in a low trembling voice.
Riley looked at Dulse. "You have no idea what we humans are capable of!" He yelled, struggling to see straight.
Dulse squinted his eyes, before throwing the spear straight at Riley's left leg, instantly severing it from the knee down.
"AAGH!" Riley screamed once more as his pain intensified even more. But then suddenly, he loosened up his whole body. His eyeballs seemed to have gotten white, as he suddenly left his mouth open, going completely unconscious.
"R-RILEY!" Mars yelled, as she placed her right ear on his chest. Her heart dropped, as she couldn't hear the voice of his heart pumping. She quickly put her face close to Riley's open mouth. She couldn't feel him breathing at all. "NO! RILEY!" She screamed, before quickly beginning CPR on his body.
"Well, that's that." Dulse said, as his right eye glowed with a Steel Silver color, and his left glowed with a Rocky brown color. He formed two fists, causing two silver glowing pistols to form in his hands. "Don't worry. These can pierce right through that shield. Must be some sort of mechanism in the scrambler that can't affect Phyco's creations--- Anyways, say hi to your fucking Daddy for me in hell." He said while looking at Zossie, as his pistols were aimed straight at her chest.
Before Dulse could shoot---
"LYca---ROOC!" The loud growling voice a Lycanroc came from the surrounding woods, before a blue-colored Dusk form Lycanroc jumped from them, charging straight for Dulse.
The blue Lycanroc went straight for Dulse's hands with its huge jaw open wide, and sharp teeth ready to tear its prey apart. The Lycanroc's eyes shifted from green to red, along with its teeth that glowed. It quickly put Dulse's wrist in its jaw, and started violently shaking it around, before tossing Dulse straight towards Jupiter and Saturn in the back.
Dulse crashed into the two, making them fall as well. The three quickly got up, and looked at the mysterious blue Lycanroc standing right in front of Riley, Mars, and Zossie. The Lycanroc looked at Dulse and the rest with complete hostile intent visible on its face.
"What the hell?!" Dulse said, looking at his left hand that had deep bite marks. A little blood was seeping out of the marks. Dulse squinted his eyes, before pressing a button on his helmet.
*Beep*
Dearie: "Scanning Pokemon..."
Dearie: "Lycanroc. The Wolf Pokemon, Dusk Form. Rock type. Bathed in the setting sun of evening, Lycanroc has undergone a special kind of evolution. An intense fighting spirit underlies its calmness."
"A Rock type Pokemon--- should be easy enough to deal with." Dulse said, as he got ready to command the two Stakataka behind him. Suddenly, an Aura Sphere emerged from the woods, and hit Dulse straight in the chest, launching him away. "AH!" He yelled in pain, as his body smashed into the Stakataka before falling on the ground. His armor was cracked from the impact.
Jupiter and Saturn quickly looked back at Dulse. "What the--?" Saturn said, shocked. "Who was that?!" Jupiter said, as she and Saturn turned and looked back at Riley and the others.
"Me." Dr. Fuji said, as he stood in between the three and everyone else. He had the blue Lycanroc standing by his side.
"Who the heck are you, ya' old relic?!" Dulse yelled, as he got up, holding his chest in pain.
"I'm known as Dr. Fuji." Dr. Fuji replied, looking at Dulse, completely fearless of the Ultra Beast-armed Auranian before him. "Dr. Fuji Ketchum. The last King of the Cameran Empire before it fell to democracy."
Mars stopped repeatedly thumping on Riley's chest, as soon as she heard the words 'Dr. Fuji', and looked straight at the old man.
"Dr. Fuji?" She said, surprised to see the person she thought was killed by Giovanni a while back.
Dr. Fuji turned around, and looked at Mars. He then looked at Riley, who had a bit of blood seeping through his shoulder and knee, which were covered up completely by torn pieces of Mars and Riley's own clothing. "Oh, no--" Fuji said, looking at Riley. "We need a defibrillator."
"Where can we get one? Please, tell me! What do I do?" Mars asked.
"Hmm--" Dr. Fuji said, before looking at Zossie. "Ah, the girl with the electric-type Aura--- use your powers to help Riley." He added.
"I--- can't control my powers that way!" Zossie replied, at the brink of crying while still being shielded from her helmet.
"Oh, my." Fuji said, as his eyes started glowing with a Psychic blue aura. "Your prosthetic arm is causing you the problem. It needs modifications to allow Auranium to flow through it properly. Must be a prototype of sorts." He said, as he started walking towards her.
"Hey! Don't ignore us!" Dulse yelled. "I'm gonna kill all of you assholes!" He yelled, raising his arm as a silver pistol formed in it.
"Spike--- Mewtwo. Take care of them, please." Dr. Fuji said, continuing to calmly walk over to Zossie.
"Spike---?" Mars said, looking at the blue Lycanroc. She suddenly remembered Riley mentioning earlier that he used to have a pet Rockruff nicknamed Spike. "And--- Mewtwo???"
"The fuck is a Mewtwo?" Dulse asked.
Suddenly, another Aura Sphere emerged from the woods, and hit the Stakataka hard, knocking it out in one hit.
*BOOM*
"I am." Mewtwo's telepathic voice said, as the dust cleared. Mewtwo got revealed hovering in the air right next to Spike, looking at Dulse and the rest with glowing Psychic eyes and body.
"You're going down!" Dulse yelled, ready to attack.
"No, you are." Mewtwo replied, before raising both arms up in the air as his body Mega-Evolved into Mega Mewtwo Y. He formed a gigantic ball of Psychic energy that glowed so bright it could be seen from many miles away. "Psystrike!" Mewtwo yelled, throwing the huge ball of Psychic energy straight at his opponents.
*BOOM*
Dust kicked off and cleared, revealing Dulse sticking his arm in front of him, shielding everyone with a silver Aura Shield.
Mewtwo looked at Spike. "We must attack with coordination." He said. "You remember how Dr. Fuji taught us, correct?" He asked.
"Roc!" Spike replied, nodding his head.
"Good." Mewtwo said, before looking at Dulse. "We need to buy Dr. Fuji some time. Let's do this." He added, getting ready to battle. Dulse's Remaining Stakataka walked up in front in order to battle, while Jupiter and Saturn threw one Beast Ball each, calling out a Blacephalon and a Nihilego.
As Mewtwo and Spike kicked the asses of Dulse and his team, Dr. Fuji came up with a strange solution in order to save Riley's life. He instructed Zossie to take off her glasses. Zossie willingly did as instructed, before Dr. Fuji looked straight into her eyes. Suddenly, he put Zossie under his complete control.
"Ah!" Zossie said in surprise, as her body moved without will since Dr. Fuji now controlled it. She quickly knelt beside Riley and rubbed her left and right hand together, causing both to release large sparks of electricity. She looked at her own hands in surprise, as she slammed them onto Riley's chest as if her hands were the two paddles of a defibrillator.
Riley's whole body thumped in response to the jolt of electricity. He suddenly got conscious once more, with his heartbeat and breathing returned to normal.
"RILEY!" Mars screamed, as she looked at Riley come to his senses.
Sounds of sirens got audible and loud, as a whole backup unit of Interpol cars and tanks arrived at the scene.
"Shit!" Dulse yelled, holding his chest in pain.
"What now?" Jupiter asked.
"Ditch the plan! Retreat or we're toast!" Dulse replied, taking out a Beast Ball and calling his unconscious Stakataka back into it. Jupiter and Saturn did the same, calling back their assigned Ultra Beasts that were on the brink of fainting. None of them stood a chance against the raw power of Mewtwo and his Mega Evolved forms.
The backup vehicles came to a halt near the convoy, and numerous SWAT teams hopped out, armed with guns and battle-ready Pokemon. They all aimed their weapons at Dulse's team, while Dulse quickly took out a smoke bomb and threw it on the ground, causing a small blast. The three escaped as quickly as they could, while the SWAT team began their usual search in vain.
Riley opened his eyes, as his vision came into focus. "Riley! Stay calm and breathe slowly!" Mars said, looking at him straight in the eye.
"A---Afro--" Riley said in a weak voice that barely left his throat.
Meanwhile, over at Afro. A town near Mount Silver.
"Shit!" Afro yelled, looking at his last magazine. He quickly loaded it into his pistol and cocked it. "I'm beyond screwed." He said to himself, hiding behind his bullet resistant van that looked like a civilian vehicle for obvious reasons.
Sounds of bullets hitting the van came, as the Team Rocket Grunts continued firing lead downrange towards Afro as much as humanly possible. Some carried Light machine guns, while some carried AK-47s.
"Man--- This is it--- I'm freakin' dead if I don't kill em'." Afro said to himself. He raised his arm, with his pistol aimed at the general direction the bullets were coming from. "DIE MOTHERFUCKERS!" He yelled, emptying the magazine in one go.
Suddenly, the sounds of the firing bullets stopped. Afro quickly took a peek, discovering that all his enemies had dropped dead.
"Huh--?" Afro said, getting up and out of cover. "HAH! How'd you like dem apples, huh? You dumb bitches!" He yelled at the corpses.
"Shut up already." A voice came from behind. Afro quickly turned around and looked at the source. It was Ex-General Alex; Afro's father. He was holding a rifle with an advanced optical sight on it. The smoke coming from the weapon indicated that Alex had fired the killing shots on the Rockets.
"Pops---" Afro said, almost tearing up. "You haven't gotten an idea about how glad I am to see ya'---" He said, covering his face with his arm as Alex walked up and hugged his son.
"It's alright, Randy. Yo' Poppa's here." Alex said, patting Afro's back. "Your arm---" He said, noticing a gunshot wound in Afro's right arm that had mostly scratched the surface without any serious damage.
"It's a'ight, pops." Afro replied. "Did you get word from Riley? I heard a crash before the transmission ended." He added.
"Yeah." Alex replied. "Dr. Fuji was nearby, since they were in Holon Territory. There's nothing to worry about when that man is in charge." He added.
"Dr. Fuji?" Afro asked. "Isn't he the dude that was the King until the Great Kanto War's end? Rileys Grandpa?" He asked.
"Yeah." Alex replied. "He's the man I owe my life and career to. He freed all of the slaves that were being shipped all those years ago, and among those slaves was me and yo' momma." He added. "Guess jumping in front and taking a bullet for him during a pirate attack is the reason why I got the title of Commissioner General."
Afro looked down at his bleeding arm, and then at the dead Team Rocket members. "Pops-- we gotta report this. Giovanni's into some deep stuff. He's preaching some Religion of his own--- I'm still low on details, I was caught before I could find out more--- I'm sorry--" He said.
"Don't worry--- it's all under control. Let's get you to a hospital to get that wound treated properly." Alex said.
Meanwhile, over at Ash and the rest in the Orre Region.
Ash, Serena, and N were in a stealth chopper, which was being piloted by Perry. Dawn stood a few meters away from the rapidly spinning rotors of the aerial vehicle.
"See ya!" Dawn said loudly, as she waved Ash and the rest. "Thanks for everything!" She added. "Pii-Piplup!" Piplup added, waving goodbye as well while sitting on Dawn's shoulder.
"See ya!" Ash replied. "Pika-Pika!" Pikachu added, waving goodbye.
Moments later, everyone said goodbye to Dawn who was soon going to be on her way towards the Kalos Region. The stealth chopper moved on, as the sky darkened. It had one clear destination: The Kuria Region.
In the chopper, everyone spoke among themselves. "I wonder if everything's alright." Serena said. "Colonel Ketchum seemed quite stressed about everything after Phyco left." She added.
"Yeah." Ash said. "He's ordered us to focus on our own mission, but I can't help but be curious about the whole thing." He added.
"Let's just hope everything is just a precaution." N said. "That nothing bad really goes down like we think." He added.
"Yeah--- I hope so." Ash said.
