[Indigo League Journey Day 6. Pewter City. 1PM]

Writer's POV

Narrator: "After a fierce battle and winning her final gym badge, Bonnie, along with the rest of our heroes are continuing on their journey to the Indigo Plateau. They have been called to the heart of the Viridian forest by none other than Professor Sycamore to see something that the Professor thinks will interest them. But before they leave Pewter City, something... Is going down nearby..."

*Boom*

"Whoa! Did you hear that!" Bonnie said as she stopped running. Brock heard the voice of the blast and stopped running as well. "It came from over there!" Ash said while pointing towards some trees, as him and Serena reached Brock and Bonnie from behind.

"Quick! Let's check it out!" Bonnie said as she started running towards the source of the explosion. She went past the trees, and came across a clearing and saw a Pokemon battle going down. Ash, Serena and Brock followed and reached Bonnie, looking at the battle.

It was Calem, battling against Gary. Calem was using an Eevee, while Gary was using his Umbreon to battle. The foursome; Ash, Serena, Brock and Bonnie quietly looked on from the trees without getting the attention of the two. 

Calem's Eevee seemed to have worn out from taking damage, but Gary's Umbreon looked fresh. It did seem understandable as Umbreon was at a much higher level than Eevee, and was a fully evolved Pokemon.

"Eevee! Tackle! If you lose this battle you're staying hungry!" Calem yelled at Eevee. "Eeveee---?" Evee said, looking at his trainer with a doubtful expression, as his legs were shaking from taking a lot of damage. 

"I recommend you forfeit this battle. That Eevee of yours is no match for my Umbreon" Gary calmly said to Calem, as he looked at how much damage Eevee had taken. "I'll do whatever I want!" Calem replied to Gary in a cranky manner. 

"I SAID TACKLE!" Calem yelled at Eevee. "Eve--" Eevee weakly said as he started charging towards Umbreon, as he went in for a tackle attack.

"Umbreon, use your Psychic attack!" Gary exclaimed, as his Umbreon nodded his head in response. Umbreon's eyes glowed light blue as Calem's Eevee became surrounded in a light blue color, and then started to float in the air as Umbreon's Psychic attack took hold of it. 

"Slam it!" Gary exclaimed, as Umbreon jerked his head down while still controlling Calem's Eevee, slamming it on the stiff ground below. This caused Eevee to have spirals in his eyes, as it went unconscious after taking so much damage.

"We're done here. Umbreon! Return!" Gary said, as he called back his loyal Umbreon in his Pokeball. "I told you to not battle me. You're just not on the level you needed to be in order to actually provide a competition." Gary said to Calem, who was walking towards his unconscious Eevee in anger.

"Eevee you worthless Pokemon! You couldn't even land a single hit!" Calem yelled at Eevee, who had just opened it's eyes after the fierce battle, and stood up. "Eevvvv--" (Food--) Eevee said to his trainer in a weak manner, as his legs shook hard and it fell to the ground, and again got completely unconscious. 

"You should consider feeding your Pokemon and caring for them instead of starving them for losing a battle" Gary said to Calem. He then turned his back against him and walked away. "I'll show you! You'll see!" Calem said to Gary in a desparate manner. Gary just kept on walking away, not showing any response to Calem's words as he disappeared into the woods. 

"You're not getting any lunch today! Forget it!" Calem yelled at his unconscious Eevee in anger, as he took out it's Pokeball. Before he could call it back, Bonnie stepped forward. 

"Stop abusing that Eevee!" Bonnie said to Calem in a commanding tone. Ash, Serena and Brock also came out of the woods, and stood beside Bonnie. "Stop treating your Pokemon that way!" Serena said in worry, as she looked at the unconscious Eevee.

"Oh, it's you guys again! Never thought i'd see those pathetic faces again" Calem said, as he faced everyone. "I'm gonna make you eat those words!" Bonnie said, as she took out a Pokeball.

"Okay then, little kid! let's Dance!" Calem said, as he threw his Pokeball and released his Blastoise. "Go! Flabebe!" Bonnie said, as she released her Flabebe. 

"Haha! You're gonna use that little thing? It's so small and weak! It won't even last a minute!" Calem said, as he laughed at Flabebe. " 'Won't even last a minute' what's that? your new motto?" Bonnie replied to Calem, effectively shutting him up.

"Are you sure you wanna pick a fight against that Blastoise, Bonnie? Using your Flabebe?" Serena said to Bonnie in a concerned tone, as she looked at Calem's huge Blastoise. Everybody knew that Calem's Blastoise was also capable of Mega-evolving. 

"Now that you mention it, Serena. It does seem to have taken some critical damage from some previous battling." Brock said, as he noticed wear and tear marks on Blastoise's body.

"I'm pretty sure I can take it down." Bonnie said, in a serious tone as she squinted her eyes a bit, looking straight in Calem's eyes. "Haha! This'll be a walk in the park!" Calem said to Bonnie as he chuckled and squinted his eyes back as well.

"Flabebe! Use Magical leaf!" Bonnie exclaimed, going in for the first move. "be--!"  Flabebe said as she started spinning rapidly, and then released multiple light-green glowing leaves which hit Blastoise head-on.

"Not bad... For a Girl!" Calem said to Bonnie, making her angry. "Blastoise! Hydro Pump!" Calem said as he ordered his Pokemon. "Blast--" Blastoise exclaimed as he fired a high-pressure beam of water through the two huge cannons on his shoulders. 

"Flabebe! Dodge it!" Bonnie shouted quickly. Flabebe quickly managed to fly up, and evade the oncoming attack. "Flabebe is using her small size to her advantage! Nice!" Ash said in an impressed manner as he saw how easily Flabebe dodged Blastoise's Hydro Pump.

"Okay, Flabebe! Use Attract!" Bonnie said, as tried the same strategy from the gym battle. "be-be!" Flabebe said as she winked at Blastoise, releasing a pink heart that went straight for Blastoise.

"Blastoise! Rapid Spin!" Calem quickly said before the Attract hit Blastoise. Listening to it's trainer, Blastoise quickly spun on the spot, causing the attract to diminish and have zero effect on him. "Huh?" Bonnie said in a surprised tone. She didn't expect that to happen at all. 

"Now! Blastoise! Use Hydro Pump and finish it, or no lunch for you as well!" Calem exclaimed in an angry manner. "Blasss---toise!" Blastoise exclaimed as he shot his high-pressure beam of water from his cannons, straight for Flabebe. But this time, the Hydro pump was faster than before, and managed to hit Flabebe before she could dodge.

"No! Flabebe!" Bonnie yelled in worry, as she saw Flabebe hit the ground, and not move at all. "Haha! What a pathetic excuse for a Pokemon!" Calem said, chuckling as he saw Flabebe on the ground. 

Bonnie got even more angry, as she looked at the unconscious Eevee still laying down on the ground. She just couldn't believe how cruel a person can be to a Pokemon. "Stop saying that!" Bonnie yelled in frustration. She was about to call her Flabebe back in her Pokeball, but suddenly Flabebe started moving again.

"Be---BE!!!" Flabebe exclaimed, as she quickly got up from the ground and started glowing, giving off a blue-white color. "Can it be--?" Bonnie said in shock as she looked at her Flabebe in front of her. "Flabebe is evolving!" Brock said, as he saw Flabebe glowing brightly, and then evolve into a Floette.

"Flabebe evolved into a Floette!" Serena said, in a cheerful and surprised manner. "A Floette, Huh?" Brock said, as he raised his PokeGear to check Floette's PokeDex entry.

PokeGear: "Floette. The Single Bloom Pokemon and the evolved form of Flabebe. Floette takes care of wilting flowers as it flutters through the fields. It uses the energy of flowers during battle."

"Incredible! Bonnie might just turn this battle around!" Brock said, after reading the PokeDex entry of Floette. "Yeah, but let's not forget that Calem's Blastoise can still Mega-Evolve." Ash said to Brock, in a serious manner. 

"Haha! You think that tiny evolution can help you?" Calem said, as he pointed out minimal difference in Floette and it's previous evolution. "This is what an evolution looks like!" Calem said, as he tapped the key-stone in his Middle-finger ring. 

But something was wrong at that moment. Even though Calem tapped on his Keystone to trigger Blastoise's Mega-Evolution, nothing was happening at all. "What!?" Calem said, in confusion as he couldn't believe what was happening. 

Calem quickly came up to Blastoise and looked into it's ear, to check the Mega Stone. As expected, Blastoise's Mega-stone was still inside his ear like he kept it there. "What is even wrong with this!?" Calem said, as he  repeatedly tapped on his Keystone, with zero results. 

"What could possibly be the reason?" Ash said, as he too was surprised that Blastoise wasn't Mega-evolving anymore. "I've got it!" Bonnie said, as she understood what was going on.

"Huh? What do you mean you've got it, Bonnie?" Serena asked Bonnie, in a surprised manner as she herself had no clue what was going on. "Tell me what's going on!" Calem yelled at Bonnie, requesting information on what was going on.

"You see, Calem. I know a lot about Mega-Evolution since I've visited Professor Sycamore's Lab quite frequently before coming here. Professor Sycamore is the leading researcher in terms of Mega-Evolution, so--" Bonnie said as she started explaining, but got cut off by Calem. "Cut to the chase, kid! I don't wanna hear your stupid backstory!" Calem said to Bonnie in an angry manner, as he interrupted her whole explanation about Mega-Evolution.

"Fine. As it turns out, Mega-Evolution only works when a Trainer and their Pokemon have a good bond, and have Mutual respect for each other. As it turns out, you've been abusing your Pokemon for losing any battle. This made the Bond between you and your Blastoise weak and thus, Blastoise can't Mega-Evolve under your training anymore." Bonnie said, as she explained the whole situation. 

"That does make sense, seeing that Blastoise has many marks on his body from injuries, and how Calem said he won't feed him unless he wins battles" Brock said, as he recalled Calem's behavior with his Pokemon. 

"That's B*******!" Calem yelled at Bonnie. "You're lying! My Pokemon see me as their leader and provider!" Calem added, with an angry tone. "I wouldn't say that" Serena said, as she looked at what Blastoise was doing.

"What!?" Calem said, as he saw his Blastoise move away and now face him, with his cannon pointed straight at his face. "Blastoise-- Blast- Blast!" Blastoise said to Calem in an angry tone, which Calem didn't understand at all. 

"I've got a translator!" Bonnie said, as she released her Squishy.

"Squishy, can you please translate what Blastoise is saying?" Bonnie asked her Squishy as she picked him up and placed him on her head. (Telepathically) "The Legendary Order Pokemon, Zygarde, is now reduced to a mere translator? Where did I go wrong in choosing to be your partner, Bonnie?" Squishy said to Bonnie, in a cranky manner. "Just this once, Squishy. Come on, we need to know!" Serena said to Squishy, making Squishy agree to translate. 

(Telepathically) "Fine. Blastoise here says that his trainer is cruel. He doesn't regularly take him to the Pokemon Center for recovery from his injuries, and he doesn't feed him or that little Eevee if they ever lose a battle. So now they've had enough of him and won't obey him anymore frmo this moment forwards" Squishy said as he translated Blastoise's words.

"Blass--Toise!" (Get lost!) Blastoise exclaimed, as he shot Calem with a powerful Hydro pump attack, causing him to blast off.

Calem (Blasting off): "Mutiny! Wait till my father hears about this---!" 

*twinkle*

Calem disappeared in the blue sky, and suddenly two Pokeballs fell to the ground, which belonged to Blastoise and Eevee. "Blast!" (Finally) Blastoise said, as he stomped on the two Pokeballs, smashing them to bits and becoming free from Calem.

"Well, He got what he deserved." Bonnie said, as she looked high in the air where Calem had disappeared. Floette flew and landed on Bonnie's shoulders, rubbing her head on Bonnie's cheeks with a worried look on her tiny face.

"You evolved during battle just so you could show me how strong you are. I'm proud of you. I'm not gonna starve you or anything like that trainer does." Bonnie said to her Floette with a smile, and then called her back in her Pokeball. 

"Blast-- Blast!" (We need a hospital) Blastoise said, looking at everyone as he picked up the critically injured and unconscious Eevee in his arms. 

 "Right! We need to help Eevee!" Brock said, as he quickly got near Eevee to take a look at him. "This is bad! We need to take it to the Pokemon Center immediately!" Brock said after taking a look at Eevee. 

"We're not out of Pewter City yet, so the Pewter City Pokemon Center is the best bet! let's go!" Bonnie said, as she quickly took the unconscious Eevee from Blastoise's arms and started running towards the Pokemon Center. 

"Come on!" Ash said, as Him, Serena, Brock and Blastoise followed Bonnie, who was now running towards the Pokemon Center with Eevee in her arms.

On their way to the Pokemon Center, Eevee opened her eyes for a bit and looked at Bonnie, who was running with him in her arms. "Come on, Eevee! Hang in there! We're almost there!" Bonnie said to Eevee, who again got unconscious. 

Soon, everyone reached the Pokemon Center's counter, where Nurse Joy was standing. "Hello, Brock! What Pokemon did you bring this time?" Nurse Joy asked to Brock in a casual manner. "No time to talk! We have a level 5 malnutrition and physical abuse with this Eevee! Quick! Call Chansey! So we can go forwards!" Brock said to Nurse Joy, as he pointed at the unconscious Eevee in Bonnie's arms.

"Oh my! I'm afraid the Chansey that worked with me has been relocated to the Pokemon Center in the Indigo Plateau. Wait, I'll bring the stretcher myself." Nurse joy said as she went inside the emergency room through the door right behind her.

"Chansey! Come on out!" Brock exclaimed, as he released his own Chansey. "Whoa! You have  a Chansey?" Bonnie said to Brock in a surprised manner. "Yeah! And she's almost done her training to become a professional!" Brock replied to Bonnie in a proud manner. 

"Okay, Chansey! I know you don't have too much field experience, but I want you to help me out as I operate on this Eevee. Okay?" Brock said to his Chansey. "Chasey-Chansey!" (All right!) Chansey replied to her trainer, as she raised her arm and saluted Brock, while nodding her head.

Nurse joy quickly came back from the emergency room with a stretcher for Eevee. "Sorry i'm late!" Nurse Joy said as she advanced towards Brock and the others. "My Chansey will be assisting us" Brock said to Nurse joy, as he pointed at his Chansey. "Huh? your Chansey? Does she have training?" Nurse Joy asked Brock while looking at his Chansey.

"Chansey! Chansey!" (Yes!) Chansey said, as she pulled out a nurse's hat out of her front egg-pocket and put it on her head. "Okay then, Come on!" Nurse Joy said as she placed Eevee on the stretcher.

"You guys don't worry! We'll take care of everything!" Brock said to everyone, as he wore his white lab coat while walking towards the ER door. "Wait! I wanna go too!" Bonnie said as she quickly ran with Brock and Nurse Joy.

"Trainers are not allowed inside the ER. Wait outside!" Nurse Joy said, as she stopped Bonnie from going inside with them. "Please?" Bonnie said in a worried manner as she looked at Eevee. "Nurse Joy... She's my friend. Please." Brock said to Nurse Joy in a serious manner. 

"Well, If you insist... we can make an exception." Nurse Joy said with a mild tone, as she allowed Bonnie to come with them inside the ER. "Thanks, Brock! You're the best!" Bonnie said to Brock in a grateful manner, as she went with them inside the ER now.

Ash and Serena, along with the Blastoise that was previously trained by Calem were now inside the waiting area, while Brock operated on Eevee's extremely serious injuries.

Brock, Nurse Joy, Bonnie and Eevee on the stretcher entered the ER, which was more like a hallway with small operation theaters on the sides. There was a huge glass window on every operation theater which allowed everything inside to be seen. Some of them had injured Pokemon resting in them, while some were empty. 

They all approached and entered one of those empty operation theaters, but Brock stopped Bonnie from entering. "Bonnie, you should stay outside here and watch from the glass window. It's dangerous for you to come in here." Brock said, as he entered the OT along with Nurse Joy, his in-training Chansey and Eevee, which was on the stretcher.

Brock operated on Eevee for a hour or two, while Bonnie watched through the glass window, and barely moved the whole time. She kept looking on from the window, as Nurse Joy and Chansey gave numerous equipment and machines to Brock during the whole time he operated on Eevee. 

Brock finally finished, and brought Eevee outside from the OT with him. "Everything went well. Don't worry. Eevee will be conscious any minute now." Brock said to Bonnie, which made her take a sigh of relief. Nurse Joy and Brock's Chansey also came outside the OT. 

"Chansey-Chansey??" Chansey said to Nurse Joy and Brock, as she seemed like she was asking Nurse Joy for something. "All right, Chansey. Don't worry. I'll make a full progress report of your work today. You did well today" Nurse Joy replied to Chansey, since she knew exactly what Chansey wanted from Nurse Joy.

Nurse joy pulled up a small device and scanned Chansey's Nurse hat, to see her progress and submit a positive report for her work today. "Oh, great!" Nurse Joy said as she looked into her Smartphone-like device. "Chansey?" (What happened?) Chansey asked Nurse Joy.

"After today's performance, you've gained enough experience points to start your full-time career! Congratulations, Chansey! You're now officially a Licensed Nurse!" Nurse Joy said to Chansey, which made her dance by wobbling right and left, with a huge smile on her face. It was her dream to be a Pokemon Nurse, and now she had finally achieved it.

"Great work, Chansey!" Bonnie said to Brock's Chansey, who was still jumping with hapiness. "Come on, let's go back and tell everyone that Eevee is going to be fine." Brock said to everyone, as he started going towards the main hall of the Pokemon center.

[Meanwhile, somewhere inside the Viridian Forest]

After getting blasted off by Forrest from the Pewter Gym, Jessie, James and Meowth were hanging on a high tree by their uniforms. Some vines from the tree were also bound around their bodies, making it hard for them to move.

"This is pathetic" James said in a downed attitude as he looked around them. "I didn' ask 'bout your life choices, Jimmy" Meowth said to James, in a casual manner. "Now we're probably fired from Team Rocket, and we didn't even get to control Mewtwo. It's a double fail." Jessie said, with a frowning face. 

"Who's idea was it to release dat Doctor anyways?" Meowth asked Jessie and James, who pointed at each other in response. "What? It was you who had a sudden change of heart!" James said to Jessie in an angry manner. "Well, you were the one that helped us escape, Mr. Technology and Engineering!" Jessie replied to James in an angry manner.

*Tree Bark breaking* 

"Oh no!" Jessie and James said, as the Tree barks that were holding them both broke due to their weight. *Crack* "AAAHH!" Jessie and James said, as the bark broke. They both spun and hit each other, due to being strangled by the tree's vines.

As the two hit each other, it resulted in an accidental kiss between them. With lips touching each other, they both opened their eyes, and quickly separated themselves from each other while blushing extremely hard. Their hearts started racing, as they both looked into each other's eyes in a passionate manner. They both actually enjoyed the happy accident.

"Well, dat was... Interestin'..." Meowth said in a teasing tone, as he saw two of his buddies accidentally kiss each other. "IT WAS NOTHING!" Jessie and James yelled at Meowth at the same time, while blushing continuously as well.

"Jessie and James, hangin' from da tree, K-I-S-S-I-N---" *BAM* Meowth was in a cliché mode, but was stopped by Jessie who punched him in the face.  

Suddenly, a screaming voice started to come from the distance: "AAAHHHH!!" 

It was Calem, who was about to land after taking the Hydro Pump attack to his face from his Ex-Pokemon, Blastoise. 

*Tree branches breaking from above*

"AH!" Calem yelled as he got stuck on a branch, and was now hanging by his shirt from it. He was at the same height as Jessie, James and Meowth.

"Hey look! It's a guy!" Meowth said, as she spotted Calem right next to them. "Great detective work, Sherlock" Jessie said to Meowth in her sassy tone. 

"Hey! You three! Get me out of this stupid tree!" Calem said, as he struggled with the vines that were bound to his body just like Jessie, James and Meowth. "Why should we help you?" Jessie said to Calem.

"Uh--- HA!" Calem was thinking of something to say, but noticed the Team Rocket uniforms Jessie and James were wearing. "You're from Team Rocket, correct?" Calem asked the Trio. 

"Make that 'were' from Team Rocket. We messed up big time and now we're likely fired." James said, with a frown on his face. "I see. Okay, here's the deal. You guys help me, and i'll make sure you three don't lose your jobs!" Calem said to the Trio, as he made a deal.

"What makes you say that?" Jessie asked Calem in a curious tone. "Ahhh---! It's because Team Rocket is run by my Dad!" Calem yelled, in an angry manner, still trying to break free from the vines strangling his body. "WHAT!?" Jessie, James and Meowth yelled in surprise.

"Yeah. My dad's name is Giovanni." Calem said, as he cleared things up about who his Dad was. "Really? You'll help us?" the Trio said in excitement. "Yeah, but I want you three to do something for me in return, other than helping me get out of here." Calem said, as his tone started to give off an evil-ish vibe.

"What do you want from us?" James asked Calem in a curious tone. "I wan't you to find a group of trainers. Find those four trainers, and steal all of their Pokemon and bring them back to me. One of them is a girl called Serena" Calem said, as he detailed the Trio's new mission. 

"Hey, isn't that the twerpette that hangs out with the twerp?" James asked Jessie. "Yeah. And the twerp also has a Pikachu that stays out of his Pokeball, right?" Jessie asked Calem, as she wanted to make sure they meant the same group. 

"Exactly! Those are the guys! In return, i'll make sure my Dad gives you a huge promotion" Calem says to the Trio, making them light up. "Yes! We accept the mission, Boss's Son!" James says to Calem, confirming that they'll keep up their end of the bargain.

"Oh, and from now on, you're gonna call me Boss!" Calem said, in a strict tone. "Unless you don't complete the mission, You're not gonna have your old Boss." Calem added. "Understood, Boss!" Jessie, James and Meowth all say to Calem, while saluting him. 

Suddenly, as usual, Wobuffet came out of his Pokeball at will. "Woo---Buffet!" Wobuffet said, as he stood on top of the main branch that was holding everyone. Wobuffet's weight caused the branch to break, and everyone to fall down. 

*Slam*

"Ouch!" everyone said in pain, as they stood up after that fall.

"And how do we know you're really the Boss's son, huh?" Meowth asked Calem in a suspicious manner. "You know that by this" Calem replied, as he took out a Phone and called his Dad, a.k.a Giovanni on speakerphone.

Instead of Matori (Giovanni's assistant) picking up the call, Giovanni himself answered Calem's call. "Speak" Giovanni said in a serious tone. "Uh-Uh-- Hey, how's it going pops?" Calem said in a nervous tone. "I'm busy right now. What do you want, Calem" Giovanni asked Calem, again in a serious manner.

"Uh-- Yeah, The Four Pokemon you gave me lost every single battle! even that Mega-Evolving Blastoise didn't win a single battle, so I was forced to abandon them all. Completely worthless Pokemon, Pops!" Calem said to Giovanni, as his nervousness broke a bit. 

"Fine. Send Matori your Coordinates and she'll send her Delibird with some new Pokemon. Bye" Giovanni replied, and then ended the call.  

 "Whoa... that sure was the Boss." Jessie said as she saw Calem end the call. "I can easily recognize that cold tone any day of the week" James said in a scared manner.

"It must be great not havin' to catch any Pokemon yo'self and just callin' yo' Daddy and ask for some powerful Pokemon" Meowth said to Calem, who was now texting his coordinates to Matori so she could send him some Pokemon.

"Yes, It is great. Now, get lost and fetch me all of those Pokemon I told you about earlier. Especially that guy's Charizard. I want that rare Charizard of his." Calem said while thinking of Ash's Charizard, which was capable of transforming into the unique Ash-Charizard form. "Sir!" the trio said as they saluted Calem, their new Boss. Then the trio quickly ran off on their new mission.  

[Back at the Pewter City Pokemon Center]

"Whoa... it's been a long while now, hasn't it?" Serena said, as she looked at the clock in the Pokemon center. It had been an hour or two at this point. 

*Pokemon Center whistle blows*

Brock, Nurse Joy, Bonnie and Eevee come out of the ER, with Eevee still on the stretcher, but in a safe condition. Ash, Serena and Blastoise quickly rushed towards them, to look how Eevee was doing. 

"Is Eevee going to be okay?" Serena asked Brock. "Yeah! The procedure was a success! We've given Eevee some medicine for energy. Once he gets food regularly, he'll be in top notch battle-ready shape!" Brock replied to Serena in a cheerful tone. 

"Well, that's a relief" Ash said, as he took a sigh of relief. "Pi-pikaa--" Pikachu, who was sitting on Ash's shoulders said, as he took a sigh of relief as well.

Eevee opened it's eyes, and looked at the person who saved her, Bonnie. "Eevee--" (thank you) Eevee said in a weak manner, as he thanked Bonnie for saving her from Calem. Blastoise got closer and gently patted Eevee while looking at him. 

"Looks like you two are really close friends" Ash said to Blastoise, as he looked at how much Blastoise cared about Eevee. "Blaas--!" (Yeah) Blastoise replied, while nodding his head.

Eevee finally gathered the strength to get up now, and was now looking at Bonnie. But Eevee's legs were still shaking. "Why is Eevee's legs still shaking?" Bonnie asked Brock as she picked up Eevee in her arms. 

"It's because it was hungry for quite a long while. Feeding it something will help no doubt" Brock replied to Bonnie. 

"Okay" Bonnie replied as she walked towards the waiting area and sat down on a bench, with Eevee in her arms. Blastoise, Ash and Serena followed her and got seated, apart from Blastoise that was standing in front of Bonnie. 

"Something to eat, huh?" Serena said, as she went for her bag. "Ta-da!" Serena said, as she pulled out a small basket, filled with Pokepuffs. 

"There's so many!" Bonnie exclaimed as she looked at the Pokepuff basket Serena was holding. "Which one do you want, Eevee?" Bonnie asked Eevee, which wasn't even getting closer to the Pokepuffs. 

"Don't worry, Eevee. Calem's gone now. You don't have to be scared." Bonnie said, as she comforted Eevee. "I know what'll make her comfortable! Come on out, Sylveon!" Serena said, as she released her Sylveon.

"Sylveon, would you mind telling Eevee that he can trust me and eat these Pokepuffs?" Serena said to her Sylveon. "Veon!" Sylveon responded as she nodded her head and then had a little conversation with Eevee. 

Sylveon then used one of her ribbon-like feelers to pick up and chow down on one of the Pokepuffs, showing that it was okay to eat them, which made Eevee quickly jump towards the basket and start eating at full speed. 

"Hey! Take it easy! save some for us too!" Ash said in a silly manner. "Piii-Pika--" Pikachu said in a silly manner as well as he rubbed the back of his head just like Ash does. "Eevee!" Eevee said as he picked up a Pokepuff in his Mouth and gave it to Pikachu, who accepted it. 

"Here you go, Ash" Serena said as she gave one Pokepuff to Ash. "Eevee!" Eevee exclaimed as he gave one Pokepuff to Bonnie as well. "Thank you, Eevee!" Bonnie said to Eevee as she took the Pokepuff. Eevee also gave one Pokepuff to his friend, Blastoise who accepted the offerring as well.

Everyone ate the Pokepuffs, and now it looked like Eevee was feeling a lot better now. "Blasst--?" (Should we leave?) Blastoise said, as he forwarded his arm towards Eevee. "Eeveee!" (No!) Eevee exclaimed as he shook his head and then started rubbing it on Bonnie's body, while sitting on her lap.

"Do you mean you wanna be friends with me?" Bonnie said to Eevee in an awe-filled manner as her eyes turned into stars. "Eevee!!" (Yes!) Eevee replied to Bonnie, as he nodded his head.

"Well, then! In you go!" Bonnie said to Eevee, as she showed her an empty Pokeball. Eevee looked at Blastoise in a way of asking for his opinion. Blastoise nodded at him, suggesting it was okay to go with Bonnie. 

Eevee then hit his paw on the empty Pokeball, and willingly went inside it. The Pokeball wobbled for a few seconds, and then gave off it's *DUN* sound, implying that Eevee had been caught. 

"Yeah! I caught an Eevee!" Bonnie exclaimed, as she celebrated an addition to her Pokemon team. "Pi-Pika-Chu!" Pikachu exclaimed as he formed a victory sign in his tiny hands. 

"Okay! Come on out, Eevee!" Bonnie said, as she called out her latest Pokemon. "Eevee!" Eevee exclaimed as he jumped right towards Bonnie and gave her a hug. "We'll be best friends, and battle well!" Bonnie said, as she hugged her Eevee as well. 

"So since Eevee is with you, wouldn't Blastoise come with you as well?" Ash asked Bonnie, making her eyes turn into sparkles as she looked at the huge Blastoise in front of her. "Blass--?" (Me?) Blastoise said in a doubtful tone, as he sweat-dropped for a bit. 

"What about it?" Bonnie asked Blastoise, as she took out another empty Pokeball. "Blast--!" (No!) Blastoise replied in a disapproving tone, as he used his tail to knock off the empty Pokeball in Bonnie's hands.

"Eevee!!" (why!?) Eevee said to Blastoise in a sad manner. "Blastoise-- Blass!" (You catch me by battling!) Blastoise exclaimed, as he pointed one of his cannons at Bonnie's face and flexed his arms, implying he wanted a Pokemon battle. 

"You wanna battle?" Bonnie asked Blastoise, to which he nodded yes. "All right then!" Bonnie replied, as she quickly got up and ran outside to the back of the Pokemon center, where a battlefield was located. 

Ash, Serena, Brock, and Bonnie's new Eevee were sitting on some benches on the side of the battlefield. Bonnie was standing in one side, while Blastoise was standing at the opposite side, ready for a Battle. 

"Okay, Dedenne! I choose you!" Bonnie exclaimed as she called out her first Pokemon, Dedenne.

"Huh? you're not going to use Squishy?" Ash said in a surprised manner. "It's not a gym battle, so I don't have to worry about losing or anything. Besides, Squishy seems a little overpowered for this task" Bonnie replied to Ash.

"I don't think Dedenne will last much long" Serena said, as she remembered Dedenne being more like a pet than a powerful battler. "Maybe Dedenne can win, since Blastoise hasn't recovered much from the earlier battle, and all those marks on his body do tell he needs a visit to the Pokemon Center." Brock said as he once again pointed out Blastoise's previous injuries. 

"Okay, Dedenne! Use tackle!" Bonnie said as she went in for the first move. "Ne-ne-ne!" Dedenne said as he nodded in response and then started running on all of it's four legs, as it gained speed and hit Blastoise. 

But that measly tackle attack only made Blastoise just take a step backwards. He showed minimal damage from that tackle attack since he was huge in size compared to Dedenne, and on a completely different level as well. 

"Blaasss---!" Blastoise yelled as he shot a high-pressure beam of water from his cannons straight at Dedenne.

"Dedenne! Dodge it!" Bonnie yelled quickly. Dedenne quickly dodged the incoming Hydro Pump attack by jumping up in the air. "Now, Dedenne! Use Thunder Shock!" Bonnie exclaimed. "Ne-ne-ne, NENE!!" Dedenne exclaimed while still in the air as it released a beam of yellow electricity from its body straight at Blastoise, hitting him at full force.

*Boom* 

"Whoa! That was a powerful Thunder Shock! the last time I remember Dedenne had a weak Thunder Shock attack" Serena said as she looked in amazement. 

"We've been training a lot so we're ready for the Indigo league. Did you just assume that I'd use an untrained Dedenne in a battle at the Indigo league? We train hard and get stronger and stronger!" Bonnie said to Serena as she turned around and looked at her from the distance.

"She sounds exactly like Ash. I guess all that travelling has had an impact on her thinking" Serena said, as she smirked a little.

"Blaasss--!" Blastoise exclaimed as he raised his arms in the air, and dark clouds formed quickly over the sunny battlefield. 

"A Rain dance? Thanks, Blastoise! It was getting real hot out here" Bonnie said, as she and her Dedenne started to enjoy the rain from Blastoise's Rain Dance.

"Blaaasss-toise!" Blastoise exclaimed as he raised his hands as a blue ball of energy formed in between them. Blastoise then threw the ball at Dedenne. 

"That's a water pulse attack! And a huge one!" Ash said in amazement as he saw a huge Water Pulse attack from Blastoise. "It seems Blastoise is quite Powerful. Too bad Calem didn't treat it right." Brock said, as he too admired how powerful Blastoise actually was.

"Dedenne! Dodge it!" Bonnie yelled, as Dedenne quickly jumped up again using it's tiny legs, as the Water Pulse hit the ground beneath it. 

"Okay, Dedenne! Let's use the rain to our advantage! Use Thunder!" Bonnie said as she commanded her little electric-type Pokemon. "Ne-ne-ne-ne-ne----NENE!" Dedenne exclaimed as it charged up and then fired a massive beam of electricity from its body straight at Blastoise. The Rain Dance caused the Thunder attack to hit it's mark precisely.  

Blastoise took the whole Thunder attack, which made him to kneel down on one knee, as it stuggled to keep standing after taking so much damage. 

"Oh, I get it now! Bonnie chose Dedenne because it's an electric-type, which are super-effective against water-type Pokemon. So even if Blastoise is at a much higher level and a fully evolved Pokemon, he gets hit hard due to not having a trainer making up strategies for minimizing attack effects!" Brock said, as he realized why Bonnie chose her little Dedenne against the huge Blastoise.

"Now, Dedenne! Bring it down with Volt Tackle!" Bonnie exclaimed as she ordered an extremely powerful move from her little Pokemon. "Ah!" Ash and Brock said in shock as they didn't know Dedenne could even use such a powerful electric-type attack.

"Ne-ne-ne-ne!" Dedenne exclaimed as it ran towards a downed Blastoise. Its body became surrounded in golden electricity as it gained speed, and it tackled Blastoise at full force, making him fall over with sparks of electricity zapping through his body, as he laid down on the ground while twitching his limbs after taking that volt tackle.

"Bonnie! Use the Pokeball now!" Serena yelled at Bonnie, making her remember that she had yet to catch Blastoise. "Oh, right!" Bonnie said as she quickly took out an empty Pokeball and threw it at a downed Blastoise. The Pokeball didn't hit it's mark and went inside the trees nearby.

"Try again! Take a deep breath before throwing the Pokeball! Focus!" Ash yelled, as Bonnie took out another empty Pokeball. She took a deep breath like Ash said, and then threw it with full force, aiming for Blastoise's head. This time, the Pokeball hit it's mark.

Blastoise went inside the Pokeball, and now the Pokeball started to wobble around, making it's eerie noise. It wobbled for a few seconds, and then finally, *DUN*.

"YEAH!" Bonnie exclaimed in excitement as she ran towards Blastoise's Pokeball and picked it up. "All right! I just caught a Blastoise!" Bonnie exclaimed, as she raised the Pokeball of her second catch of the day, Blastoise. 

"Congratulations, Bonnie!" Ash and the rest said as they quickly came near her. "Nenene!" "Pik-Pika!" The two electric Pokemon said as they also celebrated a new friend. "Eevee!" Eevee said in a happy tone as she ran towards her new Trainer.

"Okay, Blastoise! Come on out!" Bonnie said, as she threw Blastoise's Pokeball up in the air.

But suddenly, Blastoise's Pokeball glowed light-blue, and then completely disappeared into thin air, shocking Bonnie completely.

"WHAT!?" Bonnie yelled in a shocked tone. "No! What happened to Blastoise! NO! did I not throw the Pokeball correctly? No! What will I do now!?" Bonnie started to yell, when Brock stepped in. "Don't worry, Bonnie! Blastoise is completely safe!" Brock said to Bonnie in a funny way as he tried to control his laughter. Even Ash and Serena were laughing, as they saw how weird Bonnie was behaving after suddenly losing her Blastoise.

"What happened?" Bonnie asked Brock in a confused tone. "Actually, Blastoise was the 7th Pokemon you had on-hand now. So it transferred itself back to the Professor's lab." Ash said to Bonnie as he explained. 

"How do I get it back?" Bonnie asked Ash in a confused manner. "Actually, you just have to replace Blastoise with any other Pokemon you have on hand. You call the Professor's lab, and just swap out one of your on-hand Pokemon." Ash said to Bonnie, who quickly ran inside the Pokemon center to get Blastoise back.

Bonnie was now standing in front of the Pokemon Center Videophone, as she called Professor Sycamore's Lab so she could swap Blastoise.

*Calling*

After a few seconds, Cosette, one of Professor Sycamore's Assistants that didn't come with him to the Kanto region, answered the call.

(On-Screen) "Hello, Bonnie! How are you doing on your journey?" Cosette said to Bonnie as she appeared on the Videophone screen. "Yeah, I'm doing great. Can you see if my Blastoise is there? I just caught it a few moments ago." Bonnie said to Cosette in an anxious manner. 

(On-Screen) "Oh yeah, It just arrived here a few seconds ago. It's safe and sound." Cosette said as she showed Blastoise's Pokeball to Bonnie on the screen. "Great! Can you send it to me?" Bonnie asked Cosette. 

(On-Screen) "Sure! But you'll have to swap one of your current Pokemon in it's place" Cosette said to Bonnie, with a cheerful smile on her face. "Which one should I swap?" Bonnie said, as she looked at all of her Pokemon, She was having a tough time deciding which Pokemon she should replace.

(On-Screen) "If it doesn't matter much to you... The system is showing you have a pair of Plusle and Minun. Would you mind sending me those two? I wanted to do some studies on Pokemon that love to stay in pairs. Also, I just adore them and I just wanna cuddle with those cutiepies!" Cosette said, as her eyes started sparkling.

"Uh-- yeah, sure" Bonnie said, as she placed Plusle's Pokeball in the Booth of the Videophone. A white ray flashed, and Plusle's Pokeball disappeared. Bonnie then placed Minun's Pokeball and it went the same way.

Then, the booth glowed and Blastoise's Pokeball appeared in it. "Thanks, Cosette! I got it!" Bonnie said as she picked up and showed Blastoise's Pokeball to her on the screen.

(On-Screen) "Same here!" Cosette said as she opened the two Pokeballs and released the two little electric types. "Min?" "Plus?"  Minun and Plusle said in a confused manner as they looked around, but then spotted Bonnie on the Videophone screen. 

"Now, I want you two to listen to Cosette, okay? She'll take care of you. Be nice to her and listen to what she tells you to do." Bonnie said to her two little electric-types, who nodded back in response with a smile on their faces. 

(On-Screen) "Aww! They're so adorable!" Cosette said as she picked up and hugged the two little Pokemon, who hugged them back and rubbed their cheeks with Cosette while accidentally using a Nuzzle attack in the process and zapped Cosette with all of their power.

Cosette fell down, and went off-screen, as Plusle and Minun stood in front of the screen, looking at Cosette. "Min-Min!" "Plus-Plus!" Minun and Plusle said as they waved their Trainer goodbye.

"Okay, talk to ya later! Bye you two!" Bonnie said, as she quickly ended the call. 

Ash, Serena and Brock entered the Pokemon center, talking about something between each other as Bonnie approached them.

"So, did you get Blastoise back from the lab?" Ash asked Bonnie, as Eevee and Dedenne came running towards her. "Yeah! I swapped it for my Plusle and Minun" Bonnie replied to Ash. 

"Now, Blastoise! come on out!" Bonnie exclaimed, as she threw Blastoise's Pokeball once more. "Blasssstoise!" Blastoise exclaimed as he came out of his Pokeball. 

"Welcome to the team, Blastoise!" Bonnie said, as she gave a hug to the huge Pokemon. "Blasss--" Blastoise exclaimed as he used one of his cannons and completely submerged Bonnie in water. 

"Aaah! My clothes! What was that for!?" Bonnie said to Blastoise, as she squeezed her soaked clothes. "Hahaha! That's kinda like how my Charizard greets me with a flamethrower!" Ash said, as he laughed a bit.

"Oh, Right! haha!" Bonnie said while looking at her Blastoise as she chuckled, while squeezing the water out of her yellow hair and clothes.

"Hey, wait a second. Didn't Blastoise Mega-Evolve previously?" Brock said, as he got closer to Blastoise and looked inside his ear. He found it's Mega-Stone, Blastoisinite sitting inside Blastoise's ear like it usually did. "Seems like you just need a Key stone and you'll be able to Mega-Evolve Blastoise!" Brock said, looking at a surprised Bonnie who had stars and sparkles in her eyes. 

"That's awesome! Where do I find a key stone, Brock? Can you lend me yours?" Bonnie asked Brock who instantly sweat-dropped at the strange request. "Uhh-- Sorry, Bonnie. But as far as I know, all mega stones and key stones in the Kanto region are imported from Kalos." Brock said, disappointing Bonnie.

"Well, then let me try yours!" Bonnie said as she jumped up on Brock's head and started looking for his Keystone that was inside his rough spiky hair. "Haha! Good luck finding it" Brock said while laughing, as Bonnie kept searching inside his rough hair for the Keystone. 

"It's like an another dimension in there!" Bonnie said in a terrified tone as she got off of Brock's head without finding the keystone hidden in it. 

"Well, we'll figure something out eventually. Meanwhile, try to actually form a bond with Blastoise. You don't wanna end up like Calem now, don't you?" Ash said to Bonnie, making her lighten up. "Right!" Bonnie replied, as she looked at Blastoise. 

"Eevee!" Eevee said as he jumped right in Bonnie's arms. "Well, Bonnie. It seems like your Pokemon League team is just one Pokemon short now." Serena said to Bonnie.

"I've got Squishy, Floette, Dedenne, Eevee and Blastoise. I wonder what other Pokemon I'll catch" Bonnie said as she started counting the Pokemon she had on-hand.

"We still have a long way till we reach the Indigo Plateau. You'll find a Pokemon eventually." Serena said to Bonnie, as she opened the door of the Pokemon Center.

"Lets go, guys! Professor Sycamore must be expecting us!" Bonnie said, as she ran outside. "Eevee!" "Nenene!" Eevee and Dedenne said, as they started running along with their trainer.  

*Freeze Frame*

Narrator: "Calem's negligence costed him all of his Pokemon, but in a rather surprising turn of events, it seems that Calem is actually the Son of Giovanni and has recruited the beloved Team Rocket trio to do his dirty work if they want to retain their jobs as members of Team Rocket. Will Calem's plans succeed in getting Ash's Charizard? What lies ahead for our heroes in their journey? Find out! As the journey continues!"
