Finally it was time for Kendall's show.

We all jumped on the couch in front of the TV.

"I really hope Anita remembers what she has to do." Jessica said with worry.

"Shhh. It's starting." Ryan said.

The TV show started and a young beautiful girl was talking. I guessed she was Kendall.

"Hello beautiful people. Welcome back to the show. Today I've brought up for you a very delicate issue. What I got is actually a video clip which I will play today in this show. Well, this matter is very urgent and the person this video needs help. She then played the recording that Jessica sent to her.

After watching the recording, I could feel anger coursing through my veins. I still couldn't believe that Mr Seth was such a despicable man.

"Isn't that Mr Seth Adams?" I heard my dad asking.

"Yes." I answered.

"Why did he beat that woman?" He asked.

"I don't know." I replied.

"Wow. He's going to get into big trouble. He was supposed to be the new head of the area." My father said as he went upstairs.

"This is going to be fun. Finally Brie's life will get better." Jessica whispered to Ryan.

Next morning

I was in deep sleep when suddenly I heard a loud noise. I jumped up from bed.

I heard someone shouting: "Thief! Thief!"

I quickly got up to go downstairs. I saw Jessica coming out of the restroom.

We were alert. We both ran downstairs. The scream led us to the kitchen and there we saw my mother standing with a knife in front of a boy.

"Mom what the hell!" I shouted.

"It's a thief." My mom answered back, still holding onto the knife.

"Aunt please relax. She is not a thief. She is Kendall, my friend." Jessica explained.

"What?" My mom was shocked.

She stepped back and kept the knife on a table.

Jessica ran towards Kendall to ask her if she was fine.

Looking at her for the first time, I really thought she was a boy. She looked totally different from the TV show. She was dressed like a tomboy.
She looked pretty with her tiny mole beside her left eye. She had grey eyes. Her hair was attached to a bun. She wore saggy pants and a cool sweater. Anyone would think she was a boy at first sight.

"I'm sorry. I was just scared seeing you here." My mom apologized.

"No I'm sorry aunt. I didn't inform you about her arrival and I just told her to wait here while I was using the restroom." Jessica explained.

"That's fine dear. You can stay as long as you want." My mom said warmly.

"Thank you ma'am." Kendall replied gratefully.

"Kendall this is Twan, my cousin." Jessica introduced.

"Hi." I greeted with a smile and shook hands with her like a true gentleman.
