Chapter 38
"Brie! Stop it!" Suddenly, I heard someone yell.
I turned back and I was shocked to see my umbrella girl standing behind me.
She had her umbrella opened over her head as usual.
I was drowning in confusion. I wished Ryan was there with me. Seeing her appearing all of a sudden sent chills down my spine.
Before I could say a word, she started to talk.
"Twan. I can explain." She said as her eyebrows furrowed.
"Florence. What's happening?" I asked.
"Anita." She said.
"What?" I asked still in confusion.
"My name is Anita. And I'm Brie's sister. The one who died 1 year ago." She explained.
I was now starting to feel weak. I was still confused as hell.
"Twan. I'm sorry. I need your help." She continued.
"For what? Why did you tell me that your name was Florence. Why do you disappear like that? What's with your umbrella? Are you involved in witchcraft?" I bursted all the questions out.
"Twan. No. I will explain. Please listen to me." She requested.
"You're supposed to be dead. How are you alive now?" I asked.
"I am dead!" She exclaimed.
Silence occupied the room. I stared at Florence in the face. I couldn't understand what was happening.
Finally she talked.
"I am dead Twan. I am dead." She said a sad tone. Her eyes were filled with tears. Eventually she stared to cry.
Looking at her crying made me suffocate.
"Don't cry Ani." Brie said in a low voice.
I walked towards her and helped her to sit on the bed. At first I hesitated to touch. But then I couldn't just stand there and watch her sobbing.
She sat down and continued to cry.
I didn't know what to say. Brie hugged her tightly.
Suddenly we heard the noise of a car entering the yard.
"Oh no. He's here." Anita said.
She dried her tears and looked at me.
I was confused.
"You have to go from here Twan. He shouldn't see you here. Please leave from the window. Please." She pleaded.
"What? Who shouldn't see me?" I asked.
"My father. Mr Seth Adams." She said.
"But why?" I asked again.
"Please Twan go. Come and meet me at the YellowBird beach in the evening. I will tell you everything. Now leave." She explained.
"What if you attack me just like you did to Shane?" I asked.
"I won't I swear. Go." She shouted.
Brie pushed me towards her window and told me to jump out of the house. I turned back and I saw Anita closing her umbrella. She vanished again.
I was soon out of the house and I ran to meet Ryan and Jessica who were waiting a a distance away from Mr adams' house.
I was panting when I reached there. They started to bombard with me questions.
As soon as we reached home, I told them everything that occurred in the house.
"A crying ghost?" Ryan asked.
"Very funny." I said.
"So. Are you going to meet Florence? I mean Anita." Jessica asked.
"I don't know." I replied.
"Should I?" I asked.
"No way. She may attack you. And ghosts do not exist. She's probably trafficking something." Ryan said.
"No. Maybe she's truthful. And she needs help. Else she would have attacked you long time ago." Jessica said.
"Come on. You can't just befriend a ghost who need help and so on. I don't believe in all of these. I think we need to call the cops. This girl is trying to mislead us." Ryan said with rage.
"Ryan. Do you believe in angels?" Jessica asked.
"Yes I do." He answered.
"If angels exist, then why not ghosts." She explained.
"Twan. You will go and meet her." Jessica told me.
"Okay. But we'll come with you." Ryan added.
