At home.....

"Were you baking the bread?" Ryan asked as he raised and eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"What took you so long?" He shouted.

"Ryan. Stop! I just went to the bakery while you were sleeping like a log." I answered.

"It's already been 10 minutes since I woke up....and you were not here." He said, pouting.

"Only 10 minutes Ryan!" I said, rolling my eyes.

"Yeah. 10 minutes! What if Aliens came and kidnapped me in those 10 minutes?" He said.

I gave him a serious look. Eventually, I burst out laughing.

"You're just impossible." I laughed.

Ryan laughed too.

Mom called us for breakfast.

However, as usual, we told her to bring the food in my room itself. That's what we do whenever Ryan sleeps over.

Ryan jumped on the food as soon as my mother kept it in the room.

I pulled a chair next to Ryan and sat.

"I met Florence today, at the bakery." I said as took a bite of my bread.

"Florence who?" He asked with his mouth stuffed with food.

"Florence!! The girl I like." I explained.

"Ohhhhh. You mean your umbrella girl!" Ryan exclaimed.

"Her name is  Florence." I gave him a stern look.

"W H A T E V E R. For me her name stays. Umbrella girl." Ryan laughed.

"Haha very funny." I said sarcastically.

"Did you talk?" Ryan asked.

"Of course. She told me that she does two jobs can you believe that?" I said, holding my breath.

"Job? But isn't she too young for jobs? Doesn't she study?" Ryan asked. He was totally startled.

"She didn't tell me about her age. I asked her but she changed the topic." I answered.

"Wait I have her number." I said excitedly.

I took out the card that Florence gave me out from my pocket and handed it to Ryan.

The latter almost choke on his food.

"What? Water?" I asked immediately.

"I need oxygen!" He shouted.

"Oh no. I'm calling mom." I panicked.

"Chill Twan. I was just overreacting." Ryan said as he sat down properly.

"You scared me!" I shouted.

"You scared me. Your umbrella girl scares me!" He shouted.

I was left puzzled.  I only stood there and watched him, speechless.

"How the hell can she be doing a babysitting job! She looks younger than us." He said as he showed me the card.

I knew that Ryan would be extremely  shocked when he would know about Florence's job.

I sat him down and told him to calm down. Then, I explained everything to him. I told him about her life which I don't know that well. All I knew was that she was alone, she had no house and those jobs are her only way out.
