"What?.... No... This is not possible......... No!' Mrs Ruby shouted as she bursted into tears.

"Please get a grip on yourself." The officer said.

Mr Ruby hugged his wife, trying to calm her down.
A tear fell from his eyes.

I started to feel suffocated there as I did not like emotional scenes.

I saw Florence lower her head. She seemed to be guilty. She looked scared too. After all she hit Shane in his eyes with her umbrella and now he became blind.

Mr and Mrs Ruby rushed out of the building to go to the hospital.

The police officer went inside to release Ryan from the lockup.

"You're coming with us to the hospital. The truth will be exposed after interrogating the victim." He said.

Ryan looked scared too. I walked near him and told him that everything would be fine. His father smiled at me.

"What happened?" He whispered in my ear.

"Shane is conscious. We are going to see him  there and ask him the truth." I replied.

"Hey you two. Stop whispering at each other. Mr Ryan is still a suspect." The officer said.

I moved away from Ryan instantly. I asked my father the permission to go to the hospital with them and he agreed. I knew he would say yes. He would not leave Mr Spencer, Ryan's father alone in this case.

As Ryan walked towards the bureau of the police inspector, he was shocked to see Florence sitting at the desk..... And more shocked to see her umbrella on the table with blood on it.

He looked at me. His eyes showed fear. He did not know what was happening. He was in the cell when Florence admitted her crime, so he heard nothing and knew nothing.

I gestured at him telling him to keep calm.

Florence got up from her seat and walked towards the door.

"Are you going to enter the police van with your umbrella Miss?" The officer said.

"I will come on my own." She said.

"What if you don't?" The officer raised an eyebrow.

"If I had to flee, I would never come here with proofs." She said.

"Alright. Will see you there." The officer said.

Ryan went with the officer in his van. His father was with him. Me and my dad followed them in our car.
