You and Kyoko are sitting at each other's desks in class.

All the students watched the clock closely and waited till the hand reached 12. Once 12 struck, the bell rang, signifying that school has ended for the summer. Everyone cheered and ran out of the classroom.

You and Kyoko simply got up from the chairs and walked out of the classroom. Walking to your lockers, you saw everyone packing up their belongings in their backpacks and starting to pick up speed as they zoomed out of the school building.

Every possible student ran out the doors of the school excited to start their summer vacation. You and Kyoko, however, smiled and held hands as you decided to walk home together.

After putting everything in the backpacks, you and Kyoko decided to go for a walk around the city. You visited the places they went to during the semester, passing by the clubhouse, the movie theater, and even the library to read one of Kyoko's favorite mystery books.

You got two ice cream cones and decided to look at the school in the distance.

Kyoko: "I had a really great school year."

"Yeah, me too, especially since I got to meet you, Kyoko."

After finishing the ice cream, you went go back to the neighborhood and go to the usual street. You looked at the houses and you two still found it surprising that you see each other every day.

"Do you think it was fate that we're a couple?" you asked.

Kyoko: "That concept has always been a tricky one. We could have chosen to be silent about it. But we decided to let it happen and see where it went."

"Kyoko, I didn't know what I wanted to do this summer. But now, I think I would like to finally meet your grandfather. The one that taught you everything you know."

Kyoko smiled.

Kyoko: "It's going to be as awkward as you'd expect."

"For you, anything is worth trying."

You and Kyoko kiss as you saw and see your parents arriving home.
