Chapter 7
You were sitting on his porch when you noticed Kyoko coming out of her house. She noticed you on your porch and waved to you. After a while, she went up to your porch.
"How are you today," you asked.
Kyoko: "I'm doing fine."
"How was your grandfather's visit?"
Kyoko: "Well, he's getting up there in years, but it was nice, and he showed some interest in meeting you."
"Okay then."
Kyoko: "Can I ask you something?"
"Okay."
Kyoko: "Can I see the inside of your house?"
You pondered the question for a moment.
"I suppose, but you have to be extra careful."
Kyoko: "Why?"
"I don't want you breaking anything."
Kyoko: "mmm, okay."
You took Kyoko inside your house. Instantly, she was amazed by the decoration and wallpaper.
"What?" you asked. "Does your house not have any wallpaper?"
Kyoko: "We just have generic walls."
"Ah."
Kyoko saw a picture frame of you and your family.
Kyoko: "One happy family, huh?"
"Well, I suppose we do look happy."
Kyoko: "Who is this girl?"
"She's my adopted sister. She never had a birth name to my knowledge, so I named her Bloom."
Kyoko: "I wish my family was as positive as yours."
"You want an apple?"
Kyoko: "Most certainly."
You went to the kitchen, grabbed two apples, and handed Kyoko one.
"What are you gonna do when summer comes around?"
Kyoko: "I don't know."
"I still have friends to hang out with. I was planning to spend time with them, and meet their sisters."
Kyoko: "Assuming I don't have any new cases to solve, I might do the same."
"Could I borrow some detective books from you sometime?"
Kyoko: "Why?"
"The movie we watched a while ago got me interested in reading the book it was based on."
Kyoko: "I have to head home soon, but I'll keep that in mind."
"Okay."
Kyoko: "And remind me when this 'Bloom' person stops by, okay?"
"Yeah, okay, I'll keep that in mind."
You watched Kyoko head back to her house.
