DEEP IN THE MASS THAT WAS MUSHROOM HIGH SCHOOL, SOMEONE EMERGED VICTORIOUS.

Everyone had long left the school after Peach had exposed the mastermind's ways. It had taken awhile for this person to recover from being speared endlessly, but they were fine now.

BATTERED.

The redhead stepped outside, taking a deep breath as she closed her eyes. Blood was splattered all over her clothes, yet she was alive. Still alive. She wished she was dead, but fate just wouldn't let her die. She held a cloak in her hand, but couldn't bring herself to put it on.

BROKEN.

Still breathing.

TIRED.

Her partner wasn't breathing.

Saiko'd been crushed, and no matter how much grieving or crying or wishing she did, Saiko wasn't coming back.

DEAD.

She sucked air through her teeth before turning around, fastening the black cloak she held in her hands around her shoulders.

Kaira was dead. She'd died long ago. Kaira never technically existed in the first place. It had always been her.

SATSUKI.

She turned around back towards the school, closing the gates.

She'd lost her partner in crime. She'd paid the ultimate price- but she was willing to do it again. And again. And again...

She blinked her red eyes, and as she did, the pupils disappeared, and wouldn't reappear for a long, long time.

CONFUSED.

ANXIOUS.

WORRIED.

No matter what, she'd make other people feel the same despair she felt.

They'd pay the ultimate price.

This is officially the end of this book! Once again, thank you so much for reading, I love all of you! Obviously this ties in with the alternate ending, not the true one. I'll let your speculations run wild with how Kaira survived ;) there is a real reason, though.

Also, the next book, she will be referred to as Satsuki instead of Kaira.
