Soleil's Trial
"Poison," Sarah suggested as Rubi and her looked at their friend's corpse. It was unfortunate, of course, but they'd both seen it coming. The question was who had the guts to kill someone who was just trying to save everyone? "She coughed up blood..."
"Who would have access to poison?" Rubi asked, confused. "The chemistry lab, perhaps?"
"None of us were in the chemistry lab," Sarah sighed. "I think."
"We don't know..."

"What the hell does this symbol mean?" Mario questioned, confused. "It's like... the perpendicular angles sign in math."
"Is it really?" Peach asked. "I never paid attention in math. Anyway, what could it mean? There's all these pink hairs, too. Are they hers?"
"They're long, and pink. I think it's safe to say they're hers. Who else has pink hair, anyway?"

"The trial begins... now!"
"Soleil was found with presumable poison," Peach said loudly, wanting to get the trial done with quickly. "Long pink hairs were found on the scene along with a weird symbol."
"I don't really know what to make of these clues," Waluigi told them. "None of it really makes sense."
"It's gotta mean something, you idiot," Birdo snorted. "Or are you too dumb to figure that part out?"
"Why write this symbol, though?" Mario asked. "If she was poisoned, there's no way she could've gotten paint, wrote this down, and then gotten away. It's almost like the murderer wanted us to see this."
"Well, if you look at that symbol, it's a fucking upside down T," Kaira said grumpily, her pupils darkening and Peach cringed in fear at the thought of her murderous urges coming out again. "Toad, or Toadette. Voila."
"Damn, I wish Boo was here to tell us who was ever in the chemistry lab," Mario cursed. "He was good for one thing."
"Toad and I were in the chemistry lab," Toadette shrugged, offering the information like a piece of candy. "We were literally just messing around. We didn't even touch anything, we were just looking."
"Rubi and I also went in with Soleil," Sarah offered. "She seemed confident that she knew what she was doing in the chemistry lab."
"Guys, this is gonna sound far fetched, but what if Soleil killed herself?" Peach asked, causing everyone to stare at her confused.
"What?"
"Rubi and Sarah said she was in the chem lab and seemed to know what she was doing. What if she drank whatever it was, and instead of helping her, it poisoned her?"
"Ridiculous," Birdo sneered. "Sorry, Princess, but we discussed this already. The symbol was written with paint, but there's no paint near her. It was still wet, too."
"Oh, I forgot about that," Peach looked down, upset. "Oh well."
"Besides, Rubi and I were with each other for the whole day as well," Sarah chirped. "It couldn't have been us."
"So can we literally talk about how said symbol is actually just a T?" Kaira grumbled, narrowing her red eyes condescendingly. She'd gotten a lot moodier since Saiko's death. "Again. It's got to be either Toad or Toadette, unless they got framed, which is just as likely."
"No, I think you're onto something," Mario agreed. "There's long pink hair, but it's not the same shade as Soleil's. I didn't think about it before, but Toadette also has long pink hair."
"Oh, shit," Waluigi swore. "You're so right."
"Do you really think I'm dumb enough to leave my own hair at the scene of a crime?" Toadette sniffed. "Come on. Why would I leave an upside down T? To incriminate myself?"
"True, true," Mario agreed. "It doesn't seem very likely..."
"There's no other clues," Toad disagreed. "It's got to be her."
"Excuse me?" Toadette growled, offended. "D-did that really just come out of your mouth? You have no future without me!"
"I'm sorry, everything is just pointing to you!" Toad shot back. "I'm sorry!"
"Well that's fucking strange as hell," Kaira muttered. "Why the fuck are they accusing each other?"
"It was only Toad incriminating Toadette," Waluigi reminded her.
"That's...weird. You don't incriminate anyone that you enjoy being around."
"That all makes sense!" Mario said suddenly, and everyone looked at him. "Guys, I figured it out!"
"Well, out with it already!"
"The symbol was painted, there's pink hair that's like Toadette's. There's no reason that she should incriminate herself... so what if she's being framed right now? The only person trying to frame her is Toad!"
"Wow," Peach said, smiling. "That actually makes a lot of sense. I never would've thought of that."
"Toad," Toadette looked away. "H-how could you frame me...?"
"It's not me!" Toad insisted. "You guys are about to choose the wrong person. It's Toadette!"
"I think it's voting time!" Monokuma interrupted, sneering. "Time to vote!"
"Aw, fuck, I hope I'm picking the right person," Waluigi muttered.
"Correct! It's Toad!"
"I'm sorry, Toadette!" Toad burst out. "The bear told me if I got away with framing you, he'd let you go!"
"Why would you believe him!" Toadette cried. "Now he's going to kill you..."
"That's right!" Monokuma grinned maliciously. "It's punishment time!"

Toad was standing on a platform, surrounded by a million mirrors. It began to spin, and spin, and spin, and all he could see was a million of him. The mirrors opened up, revealing a tightrope above spikes. He was pushed onto it, and he attempted to walk, but immediately fell.
Hey everyone! For those of you that have actually played/watched Danganronpa, I want to know just how many YOU were able to solve without it telling you everything. This book isn't supposed to be easy and if that's what you're expecting, Sorry, but not really.
And by the way, it's not Bowser/Bowser Jr as the mastermind. That's a tad too easy, don't you agree? They might be involved though...
This was the last trial, so from now on, all that matters is the mastermind.
Who do you think the mastermind is?
Were you surprised it was Toad?
Thanks for reading!
