Krystal's Trial
Clue (because I'm sick and delirious and probably gonna regret it when I'm feeling better)
The answer is all in the last chapter title name.
"Wow, guess she really was backstabbed," Boo chuckled, and Sarah gave him a dirty look. "What? Too soon? Sorry."
"You shouldn't speak ill of the dead," Sarah sighed. "Besides, Krystal was a good person-"
"Who had suicidal thoughts and actions. Honestly, if she hadn't been stabbed in the back, I would've thought she killed herself-"
Sarah was losing her patience with the ghost, which was certainly a surprise.
"Just... be quiet, please."

"Well, she literally got backstabbed," Kaira chuckled darkly, as they examined her corpse. "Honestly, seeing bodies is just getting more and more normal."
"Yeah," Saiko shrugged. "Saiko's used to it by now."
"Eh, oh well," Kaira sighed as she turned the corpse over, her eyes widening. "Saiko, look... the back of her head is red."
"Her hair?" Saiko frowned. "But-but she's a blonde."
"I'm aware... why was the front of her hair blonde, and the back red?"

"She was murdered in the girl's bathroom," Toadette said, attempting to ponder. "Why move her to the nurses office? It doesn't make any sense."
"I'm not sure," Toad replied. "I checked, and all the medicine is intact as well. Maybe they were just hoping we didn't find the scene of the crime. After all, there is a W written in her blood."
"Well, they've got to be pretty dumb then."
"Unless this murder was accidental," Toad looked up. "And the murderer rushed the victim to the nurses office and was too late?"
<><><>
"Trial begins... now!"
"The victim was found stabbed in the back," Peach started, now holding herself with poise as if they were speaking of the weather, not murder. "There seemed to be some sort of betrayal, literally, and physically. There was a 'W' written in blood on the mirror."
"That much is obvious," Toadette jumped in, playing with her braids. "The real question is why anyone would've murdered Krystal in the girl's bathroom, and then move her body to the nurse's office."
"What? How do we know that?" Mario questioned, oblivious.
"Well, think about it," Toadette continued. "We found the blood in the girl's bathroom first, but no body. Then we searched till we found a corpse. Why would anyone bother with moving it?"
"Maybe it's because the girl's bathroom is a place where... Well, only girls can go?" Sarah prompted timidly. "If it's only in the girl bathroom, then that excludes male suspects..."
"But the blood was still in the bathroom," Kaira rolled her eyes. "The murderer didn't bother to clean it up. Don't you think anyone with common sense would clean up the crime scene?"
"Somethings not adding up," Mario sighed, tapping his chin. "Hm..."
"Why would anyone bring the victim to the nurse's office?" Soleil pondered, tapping her fingers. "It doesn't make sense.."
"Got it!" Saiko smirked, playing with her blue hair. "Maybe it's because after they murdered Krystal... they regretted their decision."
"That makes no sense," Birdo laughed harshly, dismissing Saiko's idea. "Let's move on."
"It makes perfect sense," Saiko scowled. "Obviously someone as stupid as you wouldn't be able to grasp that, though."
"Enough, guys!" Soleil interrupted, wanting to stop the drama. "Please... we need to figure the murderer out. I think Saiko's right."
"You mean- someone murdered someone, and then regretted it?" Rubi sneered, stroking her badminton racket. "Someone has no spine."
"The only shy people among us are Boo and Sarah," Waluigi said, crossing his long arms. "So...?"
"Oh, please," Boo laughed, gesturing at himself. "You expect me to do that and regret it?"
"I wouldn't call Boo shy," Sarah sighed. "But he's right. Boo wouldn't regret it. It's not me, though, I swear!"
"Are you saying just because she's shy that she has no spine? That's rather rude of you," Soleil frowned.
"We're getting off topic!" Peach waved her arms around in frustration. "We need to figure out the murderer!"
"Okay, okay, let's think," Mario tried to concentrate. "So presumably, she was moved to the nurse's office to be saved, but ultimately not in time. Why would someone do that?"
"I've got a wild guess," Kaira mused, glancing over at Saiko, who smiled in return. "What if our murderer murdered the wrong person?"
"Murdered the wrong person?" Ingrid questioned, confused. "But why would-"
We all know Krystal's hair was blonde," Kaira pressed, continuing on with her theory. "So when we found her, why was it all muddled? Easy. When I flipped the body over, I discovered that the back of her hair was red. Meaning the back of her head, while the front was blonde. Since the murder happened in the girl's bathroom, it would've been easy to mistake Krystal... for me."
"What!?" Peach shook her head. "Impossible!"
"I don't think so," Toad pondered. "I think it's plausible. She was stabbed in the back. The murderer wouldn't have seen the front of the corpse until after she'd been stabbed. Which explains why the victim had been rushed to the nurse's office..."
"So someone tried to murder Kaira!?" Saiko fumed, angered by the statement. "Saiko will make sure whoever the murderer is pays!"
"But who had reason to come after you?" Toadette questioned.
"Who didn't?" Kaira crossed her arms. "Honestly. Besides, the prospect of saving whoever is outside is plenty reason to kill, and maybe they just chose at random."
"Something's not adding up here," Birdo said in irritation. "What about the 'W' on the mirror?"
"W," Boo thought about it. "For Waluigi, Mario-"
"Me?" Mario questioned. "Why me?"
"M is a upside down W," Boo explained. "I'm not taking you out of the suspect list."
"There's no way it's Mario," Sarah piped up. "He was with me during the time of the murder."
"Then Waluigi..."
All eyes were directed towards the purple clothed man who just sneered and shook his head.
"If you're expecting a confession, you won't get one. I'm not the murderer."
"There's no other explanation-"
"There is," Waluigi replied. "Cause I know more than you did, apparently. I did some studying up on everyone's identity, since I figured you all might try to accuse me for that W. I'm not the only one who's name starts with W."
"Guys, it couldn't have been Waluigi either," Birdo added. "He was with me..."
"Okay, we're listening," Soleil waited patiently for Waluigi to collect himself.
"When I was looking through the files, I only got to look through about half before it was trial time. That didn't matter, though. I got to I, but Ingrid wasn't listed there."
"What!?"
"So I flipped through the rest of the files," Waluigi continued. "And eventually, I found Ingrid... under the name of Wendy!"
All eyes were directed towards the koopaling with rainbow hair, who sighed.
"Waluigi, I thought you were too smart to rat me out, but apparently I was wrong."
"You're not even going to try to deny it?" Sarah's bottom lip trembled. "B-but-"
"It's true," Ingrid replied. "My twins are Iggy and Lemmy. I would've done anything to get home to them. I really thought you all would've blamed it on Waluigi. Dammit, Krystal, the fact that she had time to write that W..."
"Why didn't you just wipe it off?" Birdo asked, confused. "That's stupid of you not to."
"I was too busy trying to save Krystal," Ingrid admitted. "Kaira was right. I thought it was her, which was the reason I went after her. She had challenged me yesterday with a match, and I got irritated. Krystal didn't deserve that. I was going to win that match against you by just ending your life, but..."
"So...why was Krystal's hair half red and half blonde anyway?" Soleil questioned.
"Was her hair actually red?" Peach mused. "Maybe she was in the process of dyeing it blonde, when.."
"Oh..."
"Alright, enough sentiment!" Monokuma sneered. "It's time to vote!"
"Correct!" Monokuma giggled, happy at their despair. "Ingrid, you made a pretty big mistake!"
"Thanks," Ingrid said dryly. "Appreciate it."
"Looks like I won the fight, hmm?" Kaira smirked as Ingrid was getting ready to leave for her execution. "In the end, you're just the one who died."
"You're right," Ingrid replied, annoyed. "I failed. But you know, you'll probably feel the same way I did when you try to murder the person you love, in order to get out."

The young Koopaling was stuck in between two walls when suddenly, a hand reached out and grabbed her glasses off her face suddenly. The hands began grabbing at her, until two wrapped around her neck and as she thought the end was near, the walls smashed her in between.
Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed this chapter. I've had this prewritten practically since the OCS were introduced...
Were you sad to see Ingrid go?
Was this hard? (Probably easier once the investigation started)
Thanks for reading!
