Chapter Sixteen
Aphmau copies his exact moves, giving her an opportunity to strike. As soon as she does, Aaron blocks her. He quickly removes his sword and gets ready to attack, but she ducks and rolls under him.
Aaron turns to strike again. Aphmau grips her sword tightly and blocks his attack. They were face to face, and you could see their determination. Aphmau takes this opportunity and pushes him onto a tree and holds her sword to his neck.
"Alright alright you win." Aaron throws his hands in the air. Aphmau lowers her sword and wipes the sweat off her forehead with her wrist.
"You're damn right," She breathes heavily, "Never judge a book by its cover." She sits down next to him and takes in a few deep breaths.
"You're getting better," Aaron informs, "But you could work on your mirroring. The point of mirroring is to not let the enemy get away."
"But you didn't get away."
"I could have. You weren't fast enough, that would've been the perfect opportunity to elbow you on the side and knock you down."
Aphmau stored her sword into her belt buckle and puts her hands into her lap, "How much longer do you think it'll take?"
"With Kawaii~Chan trying to help... we might have another night." He answers. Aphmau groans and leans her head on his shoulder.
"They're killing me smalls." She whines. Aaron lets a little chuckle escape his lips. He pulls her onto his lap and lets her rest.
"Don't worry too much. I'm sure Lucinda is a skilled witch. We will get home soon." He intertwines his fingers in hers and holds both hands. Her cheek start to burn a crimson red as she realizes what position their in.
"I'm worried about my father and how he's holding up. He must be devastated and honestly, I am too." She sighs and tightens her grip on his hands.
"What do you mean?" Aaron asks.
"I left without him knowing," She admits. "I left the house late that night without telling him. His fiancée let me go and I took that opportunity. Every since that night we got kidnapped by my mother, I kinda regret coming out in the first place. I could've waited until the morning."
"Well, maybe this is just my opinion, but I'm glad you came out when you did." He leans his forehead against hers, "Otherwise I don't think we would've met."
Aphmau laughs a little, "That's the one thing I don't regret. You're the only one keeping me sane right now." Aaron lets go of one of her hands and places it on her waist, having a firm grip around it.
"You're the one driving me insane." He whispers, his breathing hitched. He stares into her eyes. She stares back. She could see the desire in his dark grey eyes. With her free hand, she places it on his chest, she could feel his heart beating slow and steady.
She trailed her eyes over his face, taking in every detail. She looks back into his eyes, the desire was growing stronger. He pulls her body against him, leaving mo room between them. Aphmau decides to make the next move and close the gap.
Aaron, of course, kisses her back. He tangles his other hand in her hair, leaving the other hand resting on her waist. He gets the smooth feeling of her lips and deepens the kiss more.
They pull away to take a few breathers, but Aaron pulls her back in instant. He bit her lip gently, causing her to gasp due to the suddenness. He takes that an a chance to deepen the kiss again.
She tangles both hands into his curly jet black hair. He slips both hands underneath her shirt, holding her waist. His thumb glazed her skin, sending chills down her spine. She whimped at the cold touch of his fingers and she smiles through the kiss.
He disconnects their lips, and starting peck at her neck. She holds in a small moan by pursing her lips. "A-Aaron? Should we be doing this? We don't have the best luck in the woods." She mentions.
"I don't care." His words vibrate on her skin, going back to leaving soft kisses on her neck.
Aphmau pulls him away, "I am not about to get a concussion because of your lust." She boops his nose.
"Yeah yeah." He unzips his jacket and Aphmau quickly wraps her arms around his torso, cuddling him.
"I thought-" Aaron begins to speak but Aphmau interrupts him,
"Shush let me have this." Aaron laughs and wraps his arms around her.
"By the way," She breaks the silence, "I don't plan on leaving either."
