Boruto and Kasai came laughing together to the training ground. They did not seem tired from training.

They looked good together as a couple. Sarada thought.

"Hey papa just leave Sarada with us. Uncle Naruto wanted to talk to you." Kasai said.

"Ok I have a mission for you three as part of your training. Bring me any animal from the forest of death which you can tame. Do not use summoning jutsu this time... I will be back at 5pm you have to bring me one for each of you by then." He instructed.

The three of the went to the forest of death.

"This forest is spooky." Sarada said.

"Don't worry Sarada. I am used to hard training. Papa was always hard on me. So I can easily get one for me. If you want I will get one for you too." Kasai joked.

"Hey that would be cheating." Boruto complained.

They all laugh as he sounded so childish.

But a swarm of locust suddenly flew toward them. Kasai and Boruto fought them using their kunai while Sarada ran and was separated from them.

This was something new to her. She was always sheltered by Lee. She is afraid of insects. How can I survive in this forest?

With her feet trembling, she prayed and sing psalms to relax herself.

🎶🎶"The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?"🎶

"Wow you have a nice voice." Boruto complimented and applauded her.

"Is that how you will scare away your enemies?" He added sarcastically.

She hated how he insulted her. So she walked away not saying anything. Boruto followed from behind her.

"Hey wait. Kasai already found a lion and brought it to your father. So what are you planning to bring." He talked to her as if they were friends.

"I have no plans. I just wander around. The Lord will just provide for me." She replied and continued to walk.

" Whhhaaatttt??" He laughed at her again. "You're joking right? This is a training. A test of your abilities not of your faith. Is this what you will do everytime? Sing and pray?" He asked with sarcasm.

"Yes. I do it everyday and everytime. I talked to God like he was just beside me all the time." She answered with conviction. Unaffected by his sarcasm.

"You're crazy fanatic right? Was that how you were saved when you almost died from that snake? You prayed?" He asked in a bully way.

"Yes..." She turned back to face him. "And you came. God sent you to help me." She just went along with his bullies and smiled like what he said was not insulting to her.

But Boruto was just very close to her. So their faces were just two inches apart. He was so close that he could inhale her sweet breath as she told her how God send him to her. She smiled and he gets that she was trying to bully him back for making fun of her.

But his heart stopped when she said it. His ears turned red. His blood went up to his head. He was too nervous to face this girl. He liked everything she said and how she said it. It melts his heart. And he suddenly felt like time stopped and all he could see was her. He felt he is now the victim of his own bullying game.

Then Sarada poked his forehead and push it gently as she smirked.

His moment stopped. He felt electricity flowed from his forehead down to his body. And he realized he froze like an idiot. Her singing voice was replaying back on his mind.

She was already two meters away from him but he could still feel her fingers on his forehead. It was as if he had his first kiss on the forehead.

He shove himself off for reacting like a fool. They just walked in the forest quietly. But his heart was beating fast while analyzing what just happened to him.

Boruto POV
She was just bullying me back... or maybe flirting to me. Most girls do because I am the son of the Hokage and the heir to the rich Hyuga clan. Most girls liked me not for who I am but for who my parents were. Is she like those girls too? But I liked it even if she was just bullying me. I wished what she said was sincere. I always protect myself from mean girls. I don't want to be their victim... but why do I feel that with her I want to be a victim?...

Sarada POV
I have to walk fast and away from him... Why did I say it? Why did I touch his forehead? I was just trying to silence him and stop him from bullying me... but ... was he offended? He's so quiet. Is he angry at me? I cannot offend my sister's boyfriend. Maybe I just have to say sorry to him. Yes it is the right thing to do. But he was the first one to ridicule and make fun of me....

She turned around again to face him and settle things between them. "I am sorry."

He paused and raise his eyebrows. He wished she didn't say it. "For what?"

He just wanted to clarify what she was sorry for.

Rain suddenly fell. So they ran for shelter. Dark clouds had darkened the forest. It had been five minutes of running and they have not seen a decent place for shelter. Rain was pouring even harder now.

Sarada stopped running. She thought it's useless.

"If you can't run away from the rain. Just enjoy it."

She told Boruto about what her dad Lee would always say when they are caught in the rain. She open her arms to the heaven as if she was welcoming it's waters.

Boruto was amazed by how stupid and crazy she looked. He have not enjoyed the rain ever since. He hates it. But she seemed happy about what she was doing and he felt the urge to follow what she was doing.

They were shouting and laughing like little kids. They've forgotten for a short time why they were in the forest of death.

"This is fun. You're funny." Boruto said. "I thought you're weird. But you're weirdly cute."

They both stopped smiling as their brains processed what he just told her. They were just staring at each other for quite a long moment. Sarada blushed when she realized it was awkward to be in a situation like this alone with a boy she barely know.

Boruto also felt how awkward it was that he told her she's cute. But he now realized how much he liked Sarada. He also blushed as he saw her looking beautifully wet in the rain.

He felt the urge to kiss her but a big snake fell off from the tree between them. He instinctively sliced it with his sword. His reflex was fast that Sarada was amazed by how fast he killed the snake.

"You're good. I thought you were a loser... Mama Karin said it was your father who wanted you to train with Kasai since you were not an exemplary ninja." She told him without flattery.

"Well I am not at par to the level he expects me to be. There are a lot more better ninjas than me. Kasai is even better than me." He confessed with honesty.

They started to have comfy conversation.

Sarada: "Thanks for saving me again. This is the second time."

Boruto: "You're welcome. So how was you wound? "

Sarada: "It's ok now. Mama Karin treated me. I just wanna keep it secret to everyone especially to my parents. They would freak out if they know. But you spilled it BOLT! "

Boruto: "Hey don't call me that flat chested pervy!"

Sarada: "Yah! Bolt! You are the pervy! Why would you call me a pervy?"

Boruto: "Did you forget you just smiled when I said sorry for touching your little ---"

Sarada: "Stop there, baka! I smiled because I punch you hard. And I never thought I knew how to punch strongly as I did to you. I understood you didn't mean to touch me. And that's just it."

Boruto: "Oh ok then. You're not a pervy. But you are flat chested."

Sarada: "Baka! I will kill you now."

Boruto ran playfully as Sarada was seriously after him. Until she caught him but they slipped together on the mud.

Sarada was on top of Boruto embracing each other. Their hearts were beating faster than normal as they could hear each other's body sparks. Sarada attempted to stand up but Boruto held her tightly.

"Don't move yet. A python snake is slithering near us. " He whispered.

He was about to fight back but Sarada signaled to him that he should not.

"Give this to me Bolt." She whispered back.

She tried to control the snake using her sharingan.. And she was successful. It followed her like a tamed pet.

She stood up and held the snake around her body.
"Look at this. I tamed it using my eyes. Wow....this is amazing." She exclaimed as she held the snake. "See God provided."

"Wow..so you can attract snakes? Yes your God gave you a snake to tame." Boruto complimented. "So this leaves me as the loser. The last one to finish my mission."

They all finished their mission for the day. Kasai brought a lion, Sarada, a snake and Boruto, a monkey.

Sasuke was impressed by the kids. He felt proud at how fast Sarada is learning too.

Going home. Boruto send Sarada off to her house. They walked side by side when Sarada laughed discreetly.

"Why are you laughing Sarada?" Boruto asked.
