Two months after

Kasai and Boruto continued to train every morning. One time,  while they were resting after training.

" Boruto I love you."
She whispered to him.

"I love you too my beautiful cousin..." He joked.

"I am not joking. Can't you see I am serious?" Kasai looked at him with sincerity.

"You are not my cousin. We're just very distant relatives. We couldn't even trace our affinity. Our parents just take it as we are since your dad's Uzumaki and my mama too. But we're not relatives." Kasai stood in front of him.

"What are you saying Kasai?" He stood up and started to feel uncomfortable. So he took few steps away from her, then turn his back on her.

"I am saying I love you more than just family." She said.
"I want to be your girlfriend... your wife."

He paused as he was shocked by her confession.

"You had been my crush since five years ago. It was when we were first introduced. And now that we have been spending time training, I realized I don't just like you... I love you. So please love me back" Kasai pleaded crying.

"But Kasai... I don't feel that way... " he said bluntly.

"I can wait. I will wait until you learn to love me." Kasai insisted.

He turned to face her and looked at her straight in her eyes... "I already love you... only as a cousin. And that will forever be it. I will never see you as anything else but family.....I am sorry..."

"Why? Do you have a girlfriend?" She embraced him and cried on his chest.

He wiped her tears and said "No... not yet.. but if I will have it's definitely not gonna be you.. that's final." He moved away from her embrace.

"What made you so sure that your heart will not change?" She asked.

"I am sure... I think I found the girl for me...I liked her a lot. But I have not told her yet." He revealed his secret.

"What if she doesn't like you back? "She said. This time calmer but still offended by his honesty. She'd rather hear sweet lies from him than bitter truth.

"I hope she likes me... but even if she doesn't... I will do my best to change her heart." He replied.

"Who is this girl?" She asked annoyed by whoever that girl is. She thought she would surely be less prettier than her.

"Sarada....I started to like her on the first day of training. When we were in the forest of death together." He confided.

Sarada again....
She whispered to herself.

"Please forget me.. I know your heart will still change. There are plenty of good guys for you Kasai. I can introduce you to my friends. " he tried to lighten up the conversation and showed her a picture of his friends from his phone gallery.

"What is your type of guy? Do you want a genius but laid back? This one in green. He is Shikadai Nara. While, this one in blue is a classy gentleman, Denki Kaminarimon." He said but Kasai isn't interested.  So he scroll for some more pics..

"Or this one, a rough and tough but warm guy....." before he could finish talking...

"You are my type! Idiot!" She kissed him on his lips. But Boruto immediately pushed her and wiped his lips.

"Kasai please... I don't want our relationship to change. If you continue to be like this I will never see you again." He was sturdy in his voice as he walked away from her.

Boruto was disgusted at the thought that she kissed him. He hated her for that.

"Please... Boruto forgive me..." she shouted. "I will never do it again."

She was left alone as Boruto ran away from her. She wept bitterly agonizing over her failed confession.

Kasai's hatred toward Sarada had grown more profound.

"So that you know Sarada. I love Boruto. He will be my boyfriend soon." Kasai warned her.

She thought she'd tell Sarada first her feeling for him. Maybe she would give way for her.

Sarada was just quiet. She wasn't shocked with her confession. It was very obvious that she liked him. But it was also obvious that Boruto does not feel the same way.

She didn't like how Kasai told her about Boruto. It was as if she was angry and was giving her warning.

"Why are you telling me as if you are warning me?" Sarada asked.

"In case you might like him.... and steal him away from me... you'll regret it." Kasai said as if she was joking this time.

"You know I liked you too so I don't want war between sisters. He is not that handsome after all" she giggled.

Sarada was confused by her change of tone. Earlier, she seemed angry but this time it's just as if she was just joking. She took it as a joke then.

"Did he like you back?" She asked.

"Of course he loves me. We are just waiting for the right time." She lied.

"So prepare yourself bridesmaid." She turned her back, smirked and activated her sharingan. Prepare to meet your God when I kill you and take your eyes Sarada.
