An arm gently shaked my shoulder and I opened my eyes.

Eve stood over me, holding some clothes.

"Wear this, let's go out for some ice cream," she said, grinning and ignoring the tension in the air.

I wore the clothes and tried my best to pat my hair down.

"I just don't get why I'm in this situation," I groaned out, sipping at my milkshake.

"You know, Felicia's heartbroken too. She can't leave him but she can't leave you either."

I groaned yet again.

"That's the thing, I don't want her to face a heartbreak either but I don't think I can live knowing my bestfriend is with my mate."

"You should talk to Wayne," Eve said, leaving some cash on the table, pulling my arm and dragging us to the pack house.

My parents engulfed me in a hug as they sob. I knew they hurt for me.

Knowing your daughter could possibly get rejected by her mate for her bestfriend was heartbreaking for any parent.

After a few minutes with them, I left to the living room.

I walked into the living room, my heart clenched as I saw Wayne and Felicia cuddling.

They froze and turn to look at me.

Felicia's eyes widened and she quickly got out of Wayne's grasp.

"Wayne, may I speak to you?" I asked, suddenly very timid and cautious.

He nods and stands up.

He leads me into his office and nods towards the seat opposite his.

"Look, I'm confused and I just want to know what you are going to do about this."

"What do you mean?" He sighs, rubbing his face.

"Us. What are you going to do with Felicia and us," I say.

"I'm not going to lie and I'm being honest so that I do not hurt you any further. My wolf and I both wholeheartedly love Felicia. The mate bond may have pulled us together but my heart is with her. I'm doing this to protect you from further harm and I wish you the best in finding another mate," he says, giving me a soft sad smile.

"Don't do this!" I cried out, tears falling.

"Don't cry. I'm letting you go. There is going to be another guy who deserves you more than I do," he comforts, wiping my tears.

"I, Wayne, soon-to-be alpha of the Black Shadow Pack, deny you, Lovanne, as my mate and luna," he whispers out, grabbing his chest.

"No!" I cried out as pain exploded through me.

He loves another and hence, the pain isn't as bad for him but for me, my wolf's and I's heart was to him and him alone.

"Accept it and it will end the pain," he whispers, grabbing my hand and rubbing it gently.

"No! Never!" I growled out, ripping my hand from his and running towards the training arena.

I was one of the warriors and I quickly wrapped my hands, heading towards the punching bag.

He was mine!

Mine and mine alone.

My wolf's anger fuelled mine and soon enough, we destroyed punching bag after punching bag.

Felicia was never my true friend.

He'd didn't get it. He will be mine.
