         Today is a really really really really important day! Mirabel gets her gift today! Well, I think she gets her gift today! I hope she gets her gift today! If she doesn't . . . No . . . She will get her gift today.

"Camille?"

"Wes Miabel?"

(Translation: Yes Mirabel?)

" . . . What if I don get a gift . . . ?"

(Translation:What if I don't get a gift?)

"Idk, but I stay wit woo."

(Translation:I don't know, but I'll stay with you.)

(Translation:Really?)

"Of course I ill! Ca-sins tick to-geth-er throw hick & shrew!"

(Translation:Of course I will! Cousins stick together through thick & thin!)

        The cousins than hugged one another tightly until it was time for the other ceremony. As the month before, Abulea had did the speech as she always did. However, this ceremony was different. In thus ceremony . . . There was no gift.

" . . . Abulea?" Mirabel asked softly.

The older woman only looked away from her in response. "She will have to stay in the nursery."

"Mama?" The 5 year old girl asked.

Her mother only nodded her head at the head of the Casita.

" . . . C-camile?" Mirabel hiccuped as tears streamed down her round cheeks.

Camilo hugged his younger cousin. "Ca-sins tick to-geth-er, throw & thin."
