Chapter 13: Love on the Brain
Rosalyn
In the next morning, daddy 'kidnapped' me before breakfast and took me to his sister's house.
After he knocked on the door, aunt Daphne was shocked to see us there. She asked him what we wanted but he just said he needed to talk to John, who wasn't awake yet. He looked serious, so he had uncle Nate wake him up. When he showed up, he looked baffled to see us, but intrigued.
"Good morning, nephew. Take a coffee, you need to be awake for this." - He stated.
His sister and brother in law looked at him confused, but then again, so was I.
When John took a sip of his coffee, daddy began talking.
"John, please pay attention to everything I'm about to tell you as I'm not gonna repeat myself. You too, Rosalyn!" - He started. John just looked peeked.
"You may see my daughter under the following conditions: 1) You either see her at the pack house or here if an adult is present at all times. 2) If you guys want to go on a ride or to the Falls or whatever, a warrior will have to accompany you at all times."
"3) Neither one of you are allowed to be alone with each other in any of the houses, especially in a bedroom. 4) If you break any of these rules, or if you take my daughter out without my knowledge or without a warrior present you'll lose these privileges FOREVER."
"Did you understand everything I said?" - Daddy continued.
"Yes I did, uncle." - John replied.
"Good. Rosalyn, you may have breakfast here with your aunt and uncle before warrior practice. OK?" - Dad said, looking at me.
"Okay, daddy." - I answered, smiling.
"Nice to see you guys." - He said goodbye and left. We were all floored.
I held John for the longest of times. We just took each other's scents.
"And just so you'd know, there's no place you can take her that I won't know about it!" - Uncle Nate smirked.
"Yes dad, it's pretty clear. You're the oracle of the pack. Don't need to rub it in!" - John snickered.
"I've never seen my brother like this. How did you convince him?" - Aunt Daphne asked.
"You should have seen daddy yesterday, aunt Daphne, he was possessed. He gave a speech about freedom of love and equality. He even quoted Voltaire." - I boasted. I was in awe of him.
"Who is Voltaire?" - John asked. I flipped.
"Oh my Goddess! We're through! We're over! You don't know who Voltaire is?" - I teased him.
"I'm only a freshman, you know. I'm sure I'll learn!" - He croaked.
"Ugh, don't remind me. Dad already made me feel like a pervert for... you know." - I confessed in a dark tone as I took my coffee.
"He shouldn't have done that, Rosalyn, no one should. I mean, I don't agree with it either." - Aunt Daphne stated.
"Mom!"- John cried out.
"But no one should make you feel inferior without your consent!" - She continued.
"That's Eleanor Roosevelt, John. Do you know who she is?" - I smirked. He did not look happy.
"Thanks, aunt Daphne, can I just say: you were fearless that day, the way you took dad down. No one have the balls to do that in this entire town. No offense, uncle." - I admired her. A lot.
"Some taken, niece. Not gonna lie. But I take your point, my mate is fearless, specially if you mess with her puppy." - Uncle Nate looked proud as he kissed her on the cheek.
"Don't call me puppy. I'm a warrior!" - John rebuked.
"Excuse me, warrior. I'll tell Delta Denise to crack up the training then." - He smirked.
"No, dad, I was kidding. Don't tell Delta Huntington anything!" - John back tracked. It was adorable he being scared of aunt Denise. I am too, but he doesn't need to know that.
"But seriously though, Dan looked so angry I thought he was gonna place a warrior escort on you." - Uncle Nate spoke in a dark tone.
"You mean, like daddy Felix just did? Me too!" - I smirked.
"That's for your protection, literally." - Aunt Daphne croaked.
"I know we freaked every one out." - I admitted. - "That's why the secrecy."
"Also, I have to admit uncle Dan, I didn't think I could admire you more till I found out you knew about it and didn't tell anyone. Not even your mate. Don't tell my dads, but you may be the most decent man in the world." - I looked at him admired.
"I won't tell them, don't worry!" - He winked.
"Don't remind me, Rosalyn, I may have to get the belt!" - Aunt Daphne joked. I think.
"You didn't tell me you gave her birth control pills either!" - He retorted, laughing.
"I didn't know she was gonna use it for my son." - She replied looking at him dead in the eyes.
"But it wouldn't change my decision!" - She was quick to amend.
"This conversation is not awkward at all." - John croaked. I tried to help Aunt Daphne with the dishes but John didn't let me. He tried to be a gentleman, which I thought it was adorable.
"But actually, thank Goddess for you aunt Daphne, because some people have no one to turn to. And If it weren't for you, who knows what'd happen. I might end up with an unmated..."
"I know, Rosalyn, that is precisely why I'm always here for you. But maybe from now on, talk to another professional depending on the question. It's too weird for me!" - She admitted with a scowl.
"I will and I get it, auntie. It was weird for me too." - I confessed.
"Rosalyn, we'll be late for training, come on!" - John rushed me.
"Bye guys, thanks for breakfast." - I thank them as I leave.
"Anytime niece, you are always welcomed!" - Uncle Nate replied with a smile.
After we leave their house, I give John a look and we kissed. I mean, we were desperate for it. It's been so long since the last time. But then we hurry otherwise Delta would make us run laps.
At the training, we had to run 2 laps for being tardy. By the time we got back it was nearly time to end, but Delta still managed to kick our asses in the time she had.
"You two are looking chipper this morning!" - Emmett stated as we walked back.
"Daddy said we're allowed to see each other as long as we're never alone together." - I croaked. John smiled awkwardly.
"Really? He's smarter than he looks." - Emm snickered.
"I mean, to follow through after that speech last night." - He continued.
"I was surprised too, to be honest." - I admitted.
"Me too." - John said.
"That's actually the best way to avoid you too..." - He suggested.
"We get it, Emm. You're not the only one who can read between the lines!" - I snickered.
"Hey, that kiss in the bathroom he said yesterday, I think he was talking about..."
"Me too!" - Emmett agreed.
"You two twin talking is the most adorable thing!" - John gushed, smiling.
"You two are the most gross thing in the world!" - Emmett rebuked.
"Right, that's high praise coming from you. I mean, I can smell you from my room some times." - Rosalyn snickered.
"OK, I take it back, you're not adorable. You're disgusting!" - John joked.
"Are you coming to my house later or should we stay at yours? Is your dad still on leave?" - I asked John.
"I don't know. I'll shower and ask him." - He replied and left for his house.
"Bye! Text me later!" - I said to him as he goes.
"I just can't believe daddy. If they weren't mated, I'd think they'd get a divorce." - John smirked.
"I hate to agree with you. But I do." - I admitted, down from my high.
His dad wouldn't be at the house, as he felt his son was better now. So later, he came to ours.
We are eating lunch and the table is silent. John avoids looking at my dad like the plague.
And I don't blame him the least.
"So, Emm, any more dreams with your mate?" - Daddy asked him.
"Yes, actually after that dream she ended things with me, I dreamed she kissed me and..." - He trailed off.
"And is it PG or Rated R?" - Daddy asked in an amused tone. Dad was curious too.
"Well, it's tricky. After the kiss she offers something intimate but my eyes are about to go pitch black, so I refused and she said I passed some test." - He continued, enigmatically.
"Wow! I like this girl more and more already." - Daddy snickered.
"Me too." - I offered.
"I just think is unfair Emmett is already dreaming about his mate while Rosalyn has only dreamed about... the unmateable." - John interjected making everyone look at him.
"Did you dream about John too? What was it about?" - Daddy asked me.
"I can't tell you, daddy, I don't want you to lose your appetite." - I deflected.
Everybody grimaced.
"Thanks for that, John." - I snickered.
"I just meant..."
"I know what you meant." - I interrupted him.
"I know I only have you for 8 months. But that doesn't mean I don't want you to ascend." - He whispered to me. Of course, everybody next to us still heard him.
"Don't worry, cousin, there's no guarantee she'll find it in 8 months. It can take years!" - Emmett smirked. - "You may actually find yours before she does."
I was furious, but I didn't want to curse him now that I'm on fin ice as it is.
"Thank you, brother, I'm sure your mate you'll make a wonderful Luna. The first trans Luna this pack has ever had." - I smirked. I knew it was a low blow but so was his.
"Wait! What?" - Dad gasped.
Daddy looked disappointed in me. Emmett was gobsmacked. He stood up and left the table. There was silence after this. Until...
"Niece, if you ask me it's a crying shame you're not ascending. You maybe the most smart girl we have in our family since my mom." - Aunt Denise chimed in.
But I couldn't be proud. She NEVER complimented me and I couldn't enjoy it when she did. FML!
After the awkward lunch, I took the afternoon at the play room to be with John. The door had to be open, but at least there was no one over there.
After we make out intensely, I stopped for a moment.
"That was a low blow and now you're feeling guilty." - John observed, looking at me.
"Yes, but he really pissed me off. That was the worst thing he could've said to me and he knew it." - I replied with an angry tone.
"I know it was, he hijacked my poor attempt to fight for your ascension and turned it upside down." - John spoke, upset.
I laughed at his remarks.
"Emphasis on poor." - I smirked.
"I'm sorry I don't have your talent for words, but I make up for it in other areas." - He spoke suggestively and leaned in for a kiss.
My eyes turn pitch black as I'm transported to our moment at the Falls. At this, so does his.
We kissed each other passionately. I fight the incredible urge to take it further, but I can't resist touching him inappropriately.
"Is this okay?" - I asked him as I stopped it for a moment.
"Yes, always." - He answered hurriedly.
So I continue. He keeps it gentlemanly as always. He just holds me and enjoy my touching.
"If there's anything I can do for you, let me know." - He said it with a cheeky smile.
"There is, of course, you can take some distance from my daughter." - Daddy Felix appeared at the door.
We stopped immediately and looked guilty.
"I may not be able to smell you, but I make up for in sagacity." - He smirked. Then leaves.
We laughed out loud. We held our gaze for a moment. Then, I started whispering to him everything we did at the falls. I mean, up until the attack of course.
I give him a play by play with vivid descriptions of my anatomy. Our eyes were so pitch black I thought we're gonna shift right here. I took pleasure in watching him twitch with lust. I was fascinated. The more lustful he got the more I got. It was a fun exercise of my 'talent for words'.
Then, finally, it was time for him to go home. But at least I gave him something to think about.
