I slowly opened my eyes to find myself in a unfamiliar room attached to a life support mechine. The last thing I remember is taking a hit for naruto and hinata. How am I alive? I thought for sure I was dead.

"neji your awake!" I looked up to see kiba standing at the doorway. He ran over and hugged me with tears in his eyes "thank god, thank god your ok"

"kiba why am I still alive?" I asked.

He smiled gently at me "you didn't die baby you just fell into a coma. You've been out for a year. Tsunde actually suggested cutting your life support. Thank god you woke up in the nick of time"

"I see" I tried to stand up but my legs immediately went shakly and kiba had to catch me.

"your not strong enough to walk yet darling" he pulled me into his lap. I lay agenst him tiredly. I hate feeling this weak.

He kissed me on the head "you'll be able to walk in no time hun. Just relax for now"

"oh my god is he awake?" I looked up to see naruto and hinatas shocked and happy faces.

"yeah but he's feeling weak right now so don't jump on him" kiba scolded.

"that didn't stop you!" naruto pouted.

"yeah but I'm his boyfriend so I'm allowed to cuddle him right baby" he said nuzzling into me.

"hehe right" I giggled. "Umm guys what month is it?"

"it's December 25th Christmas day" hinata replied "and you waking up is the best Christmas present I could have ever gotten" she pulled me into a hug.

Everyone cried tears of joy that day. It made me happy to see my loved ones look so happy. I'm glad I didn't die that day.
