Chapter 16 - Come Be My Teacher

...

-'' I hear Yeonjun has a new crush.''

Kang Taehyun leans back on the wall behind him, a warm hotteok in his hands as he and Jungkook stood on the rooftop of the hospital. It was Taehyun's hard-earned break. Jungkook came to bring him food after he lost the bet against him on some basketball game they watched together and was now keeping him company as he ate.

Jungkook took a sip of coffee from a small white paper cup and grinned at the memory of the two men. He chuckles. – '' Oh, you should see them. Noona is going mad, but I think she is secretly shipping them.''

Taehyun snorts loud, truly unbecoming sound for the young surgeon. – '' I bet she does.'' – He says, taking a bite of the delicious pancake. – '' I've never heard Yeonjun so excited.'' – He gives Jungkook his side glance. – '' And, trust me, I've seen him animated so many times before.''

-'' Was he always this excited?'' – Jungkook wanted to know.

Taehyun chews his bite carefully, swallows it, and then answers. – '' The first time I met him in medical school he was even worse. He used to play with the skeleton, dressing him up.'' – He chuckles at the memory. – '' He used to get in all sorts of mischief, but he was always brilliant so the teachers let him get away with many things. I think it's his charm, I guess.'' – He takes another bite.

-'' When did he change his mind about the medicine?''

Taehyun knit his brows together as he tried to remember the exact period. – '' I think it was in the second year. He discovered forensics and didn't look back.'' – He takes another mouthful.

Jungkook smiled. – '' Which is why he ended up in the police, go figures.'' - He recalls something Yeonjun mentioned once. -'' You were roommates in college?''

-'' Mhm...'' – Taehyun finishes his bite. – '' I wanted to go crazy with him at first, but then he met Beomgyu and decided that we should find a flat together. I must admit, that was one of his more brilliant ideas.''

-'' Beomgyu seems nice. I met him only once when he came to pick Jun up. He ended up fixing Noona's neck.''

-'' Yeah, Beom has hands of gold.'' – Taehyung agrees with softness.

-'' Well aren't you a lucky bunch, having his golden hands so close and ready.'' – Jungkook teases, but Taehyun just chuckles.

-'' I ask his help only when I'm feeling really bad, and that's so rare. But Yeonjun got himself fined because he asked for a massage daily.''

-'' No! Beomgyu really takes his money?'' – Jungkook asked in surprise.

-'' Oh, yes. It was the only way for him to stop bothering him. I mean, if he really is in pain, Beom will always help, but Jun just wants cuddles, get attention and stuff...so we both told him to find a boyfriend instead.''

Jungkook laughs at that. – '' Well, he might have found him already.'' – He says, thinking of Soobin.

-'' Is he playing hot and cold with a poor fella?'' – Taehyun asks knowingly.

Jugkook nods, and Taehyun shakes his head. – '' It's all insecurity, I think. He can't believe that someone is actually falling on his mating rituals.''

--'' Dammit, Tae, you are killing me.'' – Jungkook tossed his head back and laugh at this.

-'' I'm serious.'' – Taehyun chuckles. – '' He gets foolish when he likes someone.''

-'' Well, I hope Soobin is foolish enough to accept it because I think they are a match made in heaven.''

-'' We'll see.'' – Taehyun smiles gently, looking in the distance.

Jungkook observes him with affection. Taehyun even several years younger than him was like 100 years old in spirit. He oozed that calming energy that made everyone trust him instantly. He was an amazing surgeon even though he was so young. Even Yoongi listened to his medical advice without complaints.

He finished his university with flying colours, did his residency and quickly reach the upper levels as a young prodigy, earning himself respect and trust from everyone around, both his colleagues and patients.

They met when Taehyun began working in the hospital that was closely tied with the Police Force. Every officer, detective or agent went there either personally or because of some case they are working on. Taehyun loved working in the E.R. when he didn't have surgeries, which is why he and Jungkook became close. Jungkook was frequent there one way or another.

Once he found out that he is still a flatmate with Yeonjun, Jungkook found him even more fascinating, since not everyone had the patience to live with an overly energetic lad. Jungkook smirks to himself at the thought, not knowing that he's being watched by his dongsaeng.

-'' How much do you reckon they need? A month, two? Yeonjun and that fella, I mean.'' – Taehyun asks and then adds, seeing that he caught Jungkook off guard.

Jungkook looks at him already shaking his head. – '' Oh, no, no. I'm not betting against you again.'' – He says.

Taehyun laughs. – '' Why? You are not scared, are you?'' – He teases and then turns his head towards the sky, thinking. – '' Hmm... I will be generous and say three months.'' – He glances at Jungkook. – '' You?''

Jungkook groans, already knowing that the younger man will get him into a bet one way or another. – '' You should just go to horse races with Hobi Hyung and bet with him.''

Taehyun snorts. – '' I'm not foolish enough to bet against Hyung. Either way, we bet on the same thing anyway, so there's no point.''

He nudges Jungkook's ribs slightly with his elbow. –'' Come on, how long do you give them?''

Jungkook felt his resolution to stay firm began to crumble, especially because he really did enjoy betting against his dongsaeng.

-'' What are we betting on? Them starting a relationship, or the first kiss?'' – He asks.

-'' I won't go that far with a relationship. I meant the kiss.'' – Taehyun says calmly.

-'' And you say three months? Isn't that a bit too much?'' – Jungkook asks incredulously. – '' Surely, they will kiss way before that time.''

-'' Yeonjun will tease until the other side pulls away. He never makes the first move.''

-'' Come on, do you even know Yeonjun.'' – Jungkook huffs a laugh. –'' The guy is so blunt and pushy.''

Taehyun nods. – '' He is, but you are forgetting that he really likes this guy, which means he is really shy and turns everything into a joke.''

Jungkook pouts, considering this. – '' Well, fine... maybe he is like that. But I have faith in my guy. I say Soobin will make the first move. I say a month.''

Taehyun's brows arch in surprise, he makes a dampened smile and says. –'' Wow, if that's how you want to go, sure...'' – He chuckles. – ''If what I heard about your guy from Jun is correct, that he is such a sweetheart without a trace of dominance in him, you are, my friend, gonna lose big time. You gonna take me lamb skewers as much as I can eat.''

Jungkook rolls his eyes. – '' You can afford them more than I can.''

-'' Yes, but it's sweet when someone buys them for you, Hyung. Especially if they lost the bet.'' – Taehyun grins.

-'' Oh, you're on.'' - Jungkook offers his hand. – '' I'm taking you bungee jumping if you lose.''

Taehyun groans. – '' You know I hate heights.'' – He says in annoyance. – '' But I don't lose, so you're on.''

They shake on it and then began to laugh at their antics.

___

Namjoon sighed quite exhausted. He just spent good five hours fixing the mess that Dong-Ho's people made. There were a lot of cameras and a lot of internet data that should be replaced with fake ones and it's just tiring. He didn't mind doing this kind of work because it allowed him a view into the other clan's affairs, and sometimes even the Police. He was great at what he do, and the secret program he designed himself was excellent for this line of work. Namjoon made sure no one knew about it because he was certain that a lot of bad people would love to put their hands on it.

Basically what he created was the shadow program that left no trace and could slip through the hardest protection without setting the alarms, silently observing and digging through the information. It took him years until he perfected it, and he almost had a panic attack the first time he used it, but after a few years of upgrades and modifications, he grew attached to it and now couldn't imagine doing things without it. Of course, the technology improved a lot since 2008 when he began developing it. Things are so much easier nowadays, tech-wise, Namjoon couldn't wrap his head around all the new stuff that is created and developed so far in 2022, considering how limited things were when he got his first computer at the age of ten. It was 1998. The dial-up, floppy disks, landlines and DVDs were the main actors at the time.

He still remembered the first time he hacked into the TV station when he was only 14, by calling the night security guard and asking him for the phone number of the modem which allowed him access to the movie database to choose from and watch what he wants at 2 am on TV. He had to change his voice a bit, which he managed by wrapping the hand around his throat, making his voice raspy to sound older, plus the convincing story, which worked and the poor security guy had no idea that he didn't help the engineer who works overnight to fix the slight mistake that could cost him his job, but an adolescent troublemaker. No one complained, so Namjoon continued using the TV as his own Netflix. Who knew something like that would be a thing. Still, to this day it was this little sense of accomplishment that warms Namjoon's chest the most because it was the first time he actively participated in the scheme. First of many more later on.

The second time he did something like that was when his father refused to give him the money to build up his computer. In the end, Namjoon hacked into the store and put Jin's name into the lucky 3 who got the voucher for one of their items for free in the store. He did several similar things like that in other stores, not only in South Korea but Japan, and Singapore, and Jin just raised his eyebrow when different packages began arriving from different countries under his name.

-'' Spare me, I don't want to know how you got it.'' – Jin said, chuckling and shaking his head. He knew their father's answer, and he knew these packages had no business being delivered here. He became serious then and added. – '' You didn't steal it, didn't you Namjoonie?''

Namjoon's eyes went wide, as he open his mouth. – '' Umm... no?'' – He manages weakly, but it sounded more like a question than an answer.

-'' Namjoon.'' – Jin gave him a pointed look.

-'' Well...not technically.'' – Namjoon went on. – '' I didn't pay it, that's true, but I didn't steal them either. it was a gift.''

-'' I don't know if that's even worse than stealing now.'' – Jin shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. – '' From whom?'' – He asks, sighing. Tae was a handful, and now Namjoon has some sugar mommy or daddy or is into cyber-criminal.

-'' Um, the manufacturers gave it to me.'' – Namjoon answered, gulping slightly, the rather big package still in his hands. He stood awkwardly in the hall. He grew so much in the past two years but was still lanky and clumsy.

-'' The manufacturers? Do I even want to know how did you trick them to do so?'' – Jin asks.

Namjoon shook his head. – ''I don't think you do, Hyung. But don't worry, it's not stolen.''

Jin groans. – '' Fine, go, and make sure father doesn't catch you.''

-'' He will not. It's on your name anyway.'' – Namjoon laugh.

-'' Mine? Oh, wonderful.'' – Jin snorts a laugh of his own. – '' Can I at least know what it is I ordered?'' – He asks.

-'' Computer parts, of course.'' – Namjoon just smiles widely and slips into his room. It was the year after their mother died. Their father was always out and they were pretty much alone with their house staff. Jin hasn't said a word but left his brother to cope with his pain his way. If computers make him happy, let him have it.

They all miss their mother like crazy during that period. Seokjin made sure he was strong, but Namjoon saw the dark circles under his handsome face, their father's anger and annoyance with them, and Taehyung's tearful expressions and emotional eruptions. And him, well, Namjoon had his virtual word, his video games, his books and his solitude where he cried when no one saw him.

Now, as a 34-year-old, Namjoon still remembered with a sad smile the time they had together – the three of them with their mother. All the games and serious talks they had with her. He also remembered how she loved to ''hunt'' the songs on the radio to record them to the audio cassettes and would play them loud, dancing. Jin and Tae were usually the ones joining her, while Namjoon sat and watch them with a laugh until she would pull him to join as well. Namjoon wished that she was still alive and that he could download all the music she liked.

The best thing, however, was that no one knew what he was doing. Well, besides his brothers that is. Especially Dong-Ho and his men. They all thought that he is just a geek, who knows a thing or two about the computers, installing Windows, or cleaning up malware, and knew a way how to get into somebody else's computers and erase a few footage or documents or just replace them with fakes or make copies, get the blackmail stuff, the porn they watch, the usual, but what they didn't know was that Namjoon was so much more than that and that all the information and data he found was secretly copied and stored onto a specially designed server somewhere in Indonesia. He had plenty of information on them, ready to be released or used if Jin gives a green light. He has done it for years, which gave them an advantage in this double life they led. Yeah, Namjoon was very smart, as Jin would often remind him.

-'' You and Taehyung are geniuses in this family, each on its way. He is pure instinct and outside the box thinking, which often seems like he's not from this planet.'' – Jin says, and Namjoon smiles because he agrees that Taehyung was unique in many ways. – ''But you...'' – Jin continues, eyes boring into Namjoon's. – '' You are a pure analytical genius, Joonie.''

That made Namjoon blush, bowing his head in slight embarrassment, while he fought the small smile that threatens to come out, but still failed to stop his dimples from showing.

Jin notices with a small smirk dancing on his lips. His voice remained the same. – '' You are.'' – He confirms his words.

-'' Aish, Hyung, stop.'' – Namjoon groans, covering his eyes with his hand. – '' You are the mastermind here.'' – He exclaimed.

Jin just waved his hand in dismissal, snorting. – '' I am smart and cunning. I know how to do business and play the power game, but I'm not a genius, and that's perfectly ok.'' – Jin spoke calmly, still looking at his brother's eyes once Namjoon let his hand fall. – '' They must never know how smart and capable you two are.'' – Jin said with a serious conviction. He worries his lower lip between his teeth, eyes sliding unfocused somewhere in the room. – '' Dong-Ho and the rest must never get even a glimpse of your talents and possibilities. I already had this conversation with Tae, but I need to have one with you too.''

He turns toward Namjoon again, placing a hand on Namjoon's forearm. – '' Whatever they ask you to do, never do it with your full potential.'' – He says. – '' Of course, you will do it to the satisfactorily level, and you will slightly improve during the years, so much that they like the idea you are not useless...'' – Jin taps Namjoon's arm sympathetically. – '' But, you will not give input or ideas, nor will you work for them more than you have to, do you understand?'' – Jin asked him.

Namjoon nods. – '' Yes, Hyung, I thought the same. I don't want to work for them more than I have to keep us safe.''

Jin squeezes him. – '' Good, that's good.''

And so it shall be for the years to come. Both Namjoon and Taehyung were useful to some level, enough for Dong-Ho to stop complaining about them tagging along and waisting Jin's potential as he used to say. To him, Seokjin was the best, the most talented and smartest of the Kims, and Jin played that card to keep his brothers safe and allow them at least some sort of freedom. He knew that if Dong-Ho knew the extent of their talents, he would lock Namjoon into a room with tons of computers ordering him to cover the most despicable things, hide corruption or steal money or something, which Namjoon had no intention of doing, but Jin knew that every defiance means one step closer to the death. And if they knew about Tae's, well... Jin didn't even want to imagine it.

Taehyung was still very young back then, very curious and very daring, approaching Dong-Ho's men to talk and listen to their stories. Some will just send him away, but there were plenty who didn't mind him around, asking them questions, making his own silly observations. He was like a pet to them. Namjoon hated it, but Jin told him that it was fine, it was all part of the plan. As years passed by, however, Tae changed, becoming more beautiful and handsome, and Namjoon was growling each time they flirt with him and look at him in a particular way. To them, Taehyung was Jin's errand boy, and besides that, there was no more connection between the youngest Kim and the ''Organization''. He could pretty much come and go as he pleased, which allowed him to execute Jin's plan perfectly.

Namjoon still remembered his conversation with Jin about Taehyung when all this madness began.

-" Taehyung needs grounding." - Jin said worryingly. - " Dong-Ho don't like him at all. He allows for him to be around helping me, but he also told me to ship him away somewhere and I don't want that."

- " Of course, you don't, I don't want that either. We have to stay together.'' – Namjoon agrees, furrowing his brows in concentration. – ''He is just young." – He adds. - " He will grow up quickly enough. "

-" Taehyung is restless when he has nothing to do, you know that." – Jin sighs audibly and throws himself on the sofa. – ''Back in the past he was free to do whatever he wants, but now.... Now...'' – Jin faltered.

-'' Now, things are different.'' – Namjoon finishes. Suddenly he got an idea. –'' Hyung...'' – His sudden explanation brought Jin's attention to him.

-'' Hyung, I got an idea." - Namjoon says smiling. – '' It might be somewhat complicated, and I have an idea if I could actually do it because I never taught anyone before, but...maybe.''

-'' Joonie, I don't follow.'' – Jin said, too tired to read between the lines of Namjoon's rambling. – '' What are you talking about?

-'' I can teach Taehyung.'' – Namjoon finishes.

Jin blinks at him several times, brows inching close together as he thought about it for a second. – ''Um...I don't think Taehyung has a particular interest in computers, Joonie.''

Namjoon shakes his head. – '' No, Hyung, I don't mean that.''

-'' Then what?'' – Jin asks flatly.

Namjoon sits straighter, feeling excited suddenly. – '' I have a photographic memory, right?''

Jin shakes his head in an ''obviously'' manner, gesturing for Namjoon to continue with his hand.

-'' Well, what if I teach him the things he wants to know? Think about it. I just read it through, observe and I'm sure I could find a way to transfer that knowledge into him.''

-'' Joonie, Taehyung is not a floppy disk for you to put the information into.''

-'' First of all, we don't use floppy disks anymore, Hyung, but flash drives, and second, where do you think Taehyung could learn how to use his talents and to reach his potential without Dong-Ho getting a whiff of it, as I'm sure he would if we hire any teacher or mentor?'' – Namjoon says pointedly.

Jin shorts. – '' Dong-Ho doesn't care what Taehyung is learning.''

-'' Even how to steal and pick locks?'' – Namjoon arch his eyebrow.

Jin shoots him a look. – '' What?'' – He asks, thinking he didn't hear him right.

-'' You heard me.''

Jin gave humourless laugh. – '' I was hoping I didn't, Joon.''

-'' I'm serious, Hyung.'' – Namjoon continues. – '' That plan of yours is risky, there is too much at stake, and I don't trust anyone but us.''

-'' Wait, wait, Namjoon, are you trying to tell me that we should train our baby brother how to pickpocket and then send him to steal in highly secured households? Are you mental?!'' – Seokjin shrieked.

Namjoon dig his finger in his ear and began ringing from Jin's high pitched exclamation. – '' Hyung, he won't be in danger because I will make sure his path is clean, at least electronic-wise.''

-'' And what about physical-wise, Namjoon? If someone kills him, or if he gets arrested, what then?!'' – Jin couldn't believe it.

-'' He will be fine, Tae is amazng. He always gets out from even the worst troubles. Besides, you got us training martial arts for a few months now. We will continue with that too, and add more if needed. He'll be ok.'' – Namjoon just waves his hand.

-'' Those are childish troubles, Namjoon, not serious ''I can end up in jail, or worse, killed'' ones!'' – Jin was on his feet now, his blood pressure was high and his neck and ears were red from annoyance. – '' Seriously, Joon, after all of your protectiveness, you want to send him into the danger.''

-'' No, I don't. But he is in a bigger danger if he gets into his head to do something on his own and accidentally steps on Dong-Ho's toes. This way, we will guide him, and help him to channel his energy into something productive. Plus, there's no one else that we can trust, that have the same reasons and desire to do this.'' – Namjoon explains.

-'' No way! We'll find someone else.'' – Jin adds.

-'' Who? There is no one that good. You are too connected with Dong-Ho, I have two left feet, but Taehyung is agile and perfect.''

Jin turns to glare at him. – '' Taehyung is young!''

-'' Taehyung is almost 16, and he is mature for his years, you know that.'' – Namjoon says matter-of-factly.

-'' At what makes you think he would want to do it?''

Namjoon snorts loudly. –'' Taehyung? You ask that, really, Hyung? He would say yes before you finish the sentence.''

Jin just shakes his head, ready to argue but Namjoon raises his hands, palms up. – '' Let me try it, if it goes it goes, if not, well, at least you will sleep soundly.''

-'' I will never sleep soundly.'' – Jin said tiredly. He shoots another glare at his brother. – '' And how do you plan to teach him that, anyway. You don't know how to pick a lock, or open the safe.''

-'' I read about it.'' – Namjoon says. – '' I know the theory, I even found a few videos of how to do it. Plus, I observe Dong-Ho's men when they are working or practising. I don't think I could actually break into the safe, because I lack that natural skill, but Taehyung has a good ear for it, he might. All I could do is to guide him and he is smart, he'll pick it up.''

-'' I can't believe what you suggesting.'' – Jin covered his face. – '' We need to ask him first.''

-'' No need.'' – The voice was heard from the door, and both Kims turn to see Taehyung leaning at the door. – ''I say yes.''

-'' You were eavesdropping?'' – Jin asked annoyed.

-'' Hey, next time don't shout my name so loudly.'' – Taehyung says, shrugging his shoulders and entering the room, stopping in front of Namjoon. – '' Did you mean it, Hyung?''

Namjoon nods. – '' Yeah, we could try.''

Taehyung grins widely. –'' Awesome! I always wanted to learn how to pickpocket as I saw it in the movies.''

-'' This is not a movie, Taehyung, it's real-life!'' – Jin growls.

Taehyug went to hug him tightly. -'' I know Hyung.''

-'' Ah, let go, you are crushing me.'' – The oldest Kim protested.

-'' Hardly true.'' – Taehyung murmured into Seokjin's neck. – '' Don't worry, Hyungie, things will be alright.''

And they were. Taehyung was an apt pupil. He absorbed everything Namjoon taught him. Taehyung called him a ''Joonpedia'' because he knew everything, and Taehyung quickly became a true master of the art of swapping things. He truly possessed an exquisite ear for safes and locks. The first time he went on the field, neither Joon nor Jin was able to sleep, going through the plans and tactics, but it went spotless. Taehyung nailed it, he was naturally gifted for that.

Ever since then, Jin changed and upgrades his entire revenge plan. He still honed the skill their grandfather taught him, making it even better, more precise, whenever the time will allow him. During the day he would promote their new company, Kim Securities, expanding Kim Enterprises even more, and during the evenings he would spend in his hidden workshop, where he would make jewellery that Taehyung would use to swap with the original later on. Namjoon's job was to observe and hunt for new targets, predicting which ones have insurance and which do not. And Taehyug, who eventually discovered yet another talent of his – masks and painting – was very keen to duplicate somebody else's work as much as he liked creating his own, or becoming someone else. His public image was quite different, but it did help with his sudden departures. It would be difficult to explain to Dong-Ho why Taehyung travels so much otherwise, so instead, a simple explanation as a party was enough for him to make a disgusted face and drop the subject, grumbling that Jin spoiled him too much.

Dong-Ho still didn't like Taehyung, thinking of him as a waste of space, it was evident. Namjoon hated to see that murderous glint in Dong-Ho's eyes whenever he sets his eyes on Taehyung. To him, Taehyung was a menace, a tease for his men, a constant worry in Jin's life, and a scandal making machine. Taehyung wasn't afraid of Dong-Ho, he also didn't respect him either, and Dong-Ho knew that. If it was to him, Dong-Ho would have killed him, or at least sell him to a brothel a long time ago, but because of Jin, Taehyung was still there, doing nothing in his books.

Namjoon knew how much Taehyung hated to hide his talents and skills, for not be able to flaunt them in Dong-Ho's face. To not be respected and called bad names was the worse for Taehyung, but his mature mind knew what was at stake. He also knew that this was his best protection. Taehyung was their secret ace. Their secret pawn in the game of chess, which was pushed forward unsuspiciously, waiting to reach the end and turn into the most powerful chess piece on the board. Yes, Taehyung was their Queen in disguise, in a matter of speaking.

Namjoon squeezed his eyes shut. The tiredness and dryness of the air made them itchy and he felt his neck and back protest from sitting too long. I should call Beomgyu. He made a mental note in his head. He sat there for a few more minutes before reaching for his phone and texting the young man. There is still a lot to be done, he groans in frustration. Besides the obvious work he puts into Jin's plans, and Dong-Ho's orders, Namjoon also make sure to take care of his online community as well.

His online organization for saving nature and animals was vast and powerful, and Namjoon worked as the main contact to them all. He would find donations, connect people, spread news, and fight online battles and discussions. He was quite known there and amongst the cyber community as Rkive. Namjoon snorts at that thought as if being Kim Namjoon wasn't enough, but he had to create yet another persona online. Still, he was glad for that, because this way, he can do some good in this world.

It was late when he got out of his office. He went straight to the shower, grateful that Beomgyu responded he'll come in an hour to fix his back. He was punctual as a clock, smiling warmly at Namjoon who got out of the shower wearing only grey sweatpants.

-'' Hyung, did you overdo it in the gym again? I told you not to.'' – He said, pulling the massage table in the middle of the room.

Namjoon smiled. – '' No, not the gym, but work. I sat in the chair for almost 8 hours.''

-'' And you didn't remember to take a break and do the stretching that I've shown you.''

Namjoon grinned. – '' No time, really.''

Beomgyu snorts. – '' Sure there wasn't. Come, let's see.'' – He taps the table with his hand and Namjoon lie-down, groaning when Beomgyu's firm hands start spreading oil and massaging. – '' I'm so grateful for your hands, you know.'' – Namjoon murmured, eyes closing in enjoyment.

Beomgyu just chuckles. – '' Wait for a little, you won't be saying that in a moment.'' – As his words come out of his mouth Beomgyu presses the knot in Namjoon's left shoulder.

-'' Oh, fuck, shit, aaa!'' – Namjoon yelled and Beomgyu giggled. – ''Told ya.''

-'' Mmmm... noup, no, I will s-still...say it.... Gold hands, yeah! Ouch!'' - Namjoon gritted through his teeth.

-'' Don't worry, Hyung. As soon as I destroy these little buggers we can go to the relaxing part.'' – Beomgyu said and went on.

It did hurt like hell, but still, Namjoon was grateful for Beomgyu. The man fixed him so many times that he lost count. And each time, Namjoon was able to work harder and longer because of it. He has to thank Jimin once again for finding him. You would never say that under that angelic and fragile face hides such strength, and maybe a smudge of sadism deep down, which made Beomgyu so good at his job.

Namjoon grits his teeth as another really nasty knot are being attacked by Beomgyus's deft fingers. The strong pain lingered for a few seconds until Beomgyu let go of it and went to another part with a lighter touch. Namjoon let the air from his lungs go and started panting as the sweat gathered and mixed with the oil on the surface of his skin.

They went like that several more times on different body parts until both of them were breathing hard from exertion – Beomgyu from intensity, and Namjoon from pain. His body, however, felt so mushy and brain drowsy.

-'' There you go.'' – Beomgyu says and Namjoon could hear his smile. – '' Let me just check your spine and joints and then you can sleep.''

-'' Oh, yes, sleep!'' – Namjoon says it with joy, although his voice was too exhausted.

Beomgyu giggled.

A few joints cracked and the body stretched some moments later and it was time for a finale – a relaxing massage. By this time Beomgyu was done, Namjoon's eyelids so heavy and his mind fuzzy. The relaxing zither music that's been played from the speakers did wonder to his tired mind and he just fell asleep.

He didn't know how long he was out, he just remembered a hand on his shoulder, shaking him gently.

-'' Hyung, come on, wake up. You have to move to your bed.'' – Beomgyu's voice spoke gently.

-'' Don't wanna move.'' – Namjoon slurred sleepily.

Beomgyu giggled again. – '' I know you don't, but I need to go, and I need my table. I have another client in an hour. Come, I'll help you.''

Namjoon groans and began to move. – '' I need to...clean ...from the oil.''

-'' I already did that, just drop yourself into your bed.'' – The young man said helping Namjoon to his feet.

-'' Bamgyu, you are an angel.'' – Namjoon patted him on the hair with a smile. Beomgyu smiled bashfully, bowing his head. He helped Joon fall under the covers of his bed and then quietly picked up his things, turn off the music and the light and go out.

There he met Taehyung just walking in. – Beomgyu, hey hey.'' – Taehyung greets and Beomgyu bows the best he could with the stuff in his hands. – '' Here, let me help you.'' – Taehyung says, not really waiting for permission but taking the table from Beomgyu's hands despite the young man's protestations.

-'' Pff, nonsense, it's not a problem. Is my Hyung sleeping?'' – Tae asks.

-'' Yes, we had a very difficult session and he is exhausted. He overworked himself again.'' – Beomgyu shook his head, genuinely worried about his favourite client. Namjoon was a good and kind man, a great Hyung, and Beomgyu loved to help him whenever he could.

Taehyung brushed his own jaw with his fingers. – '' I know. I'll make sure he takes some rest often.'' – He promises.

Beomgyu smiled warmly. – '' Good luck with that.'' – He said and put the table and his bag back in the trunk of his car.

They both laugh at that.

-'' One of these days, he will kill himself from overwork.'' – Taehyung muses. – '' Work overdose.''

Beomgyu chuckle. – '' Well, we have to make sure that doesn't happen. You make him eat and go to sleep regularly, and I will fix him up as often as it's needed.''

Taehyung grins widely, patting Beomgyu's arm. – ''That's a deal.''

Beomgyu grins. – '' Do you need my services, Hyung?'' – He asks.

Taehyung shook his head. – ''No, I'm fine right now, but I will call you if you do.''

Beomgyu got into his car. – '' Ok, Hyung, see you then.''

Taehyung waved and watched as the car drove off through their gate where the security was. He sighed and went to the house. He peaked into Namjoon's room and saw him in a deep sleep, mouth slightly open and cheek squished by the pillow. Taehyung gently ran his fingers through his brother's hair and silently, as a ghost, left the room.

He went to search for his oldest sibling and found him in his office, working. No surprise there.

-'' Taehyugie.'' – Jin greets, not moving his eyes from the file he was reading.

Taehyung slid next to him.

-'' You need something?'' – Jin asks, leaning back on his chair to look at him. Taehyung nods.

-'' I'm scheduled to go to Germany, remember?'' – He says, tilting his head.

-'' Oh, yes, the diamonds.'' – Jin recalls. – '' Yes, I have them ready.''

-'' Good. Are they in the safe?''

-'' Yes, blue velvet bag.''

-'' I'll find it.'' – Taehyung says and went to get out, but his brother's gentle call stopped him. He turns to meet Jin's eyes.

-'' Tae-ah, be careful.''

Taehyung grins. – '' I always am.'' – He says which earns him an eye roll. – '' Besides, you and Joonie Hyung will be there with me.'' – He taps at his ear.

-'' We always are.'' – Jin nods and his brother departs.

I couldn't help but steal the reference from the movie ''Hackers''. It's one of my favourite movies ever and it seemed so appropriate to use for Namjoon.

Also, we see the connection between TXT members, but it's only a side mention. It's not so relevant so you needn't hold on to it as much.

We also saw another trip to the past, where we learn more about Kim's beginnings, and how they became so good at what they do. See you next week 💜💜💜
