A New Mission
The guards outside were talking again.
"The Sea Warrior failed his mission."
"He keeps saying the name Nico."
"What's wrong with him?"
Nico.
Thank the gods he remembered Nico.
The gods?
Why did he say that?
Irrelevant.
Nico.
Nico was his cousin.
His cousin and his friend.
They fought a war together.
Nico helped a man make a shield.
Why a shield?
The shield brought memories.
But not enough.
Two blondes.
Siblings?
Friends?
He couldn't remember.
A man.
Muscular.
A super-soldier.
A fighter.
An actor as well.
A girl.
His age.
Grey eyes.
Also muscular.
Fast.
Smart.
A fighter.
The real one.
The real what?
"Patient 2 has a new mission."
Cold hands pulled him up.
He struggled to return to the corner of the room.
He was dragged to a room.
A different room.
Every time.
Always somewhere new.
The rooms matched his kills.
This one was grey.
Like the girl's eyes.
It had stars painted on it.
Red and blue stripes.
The shield.
Did they want him to kill the blonde people?
It was rare that a single mission had two targets.
These people must be dangerous to Hydra.
Hydra.
Hail Hydra.
"Patient 2, you have a mission."
"Tell me something I don't know."
Where had that come from?
His voice was scratchy.
Disuse.
Another memory surfaced.
"Percy's fighting strategy is to hurl sarcasm until he finds an opening."
That was Nico.
There was no visual.
Only Nico's voice.
Percy.
That name seemed important.
Percy.
Who was Percy?
The blond man?
No.
He didn't know why he was so certain.
But the blond was not Percy.
The blonde was obviously not Percy.
Percy.
Percy Jackson.
How did he know that?
He was Percy Jackson.
Was he?
"Patient 2."
The confusion vanished.
Business time.
"These are your targets."
The blondes.
"We wouldn't give you two right after a failed mission."
Will Solace.
The failure.
His failure.
"But they are extremely dangerous."
A lot of people were dangerous.
He was dangerous.
"Kill their companions as well, if you have time."
A grunt in response.
"Arm yourself."
He stood and left the room.
Time to hunt.
--------------------------
"Need to see any other proof?" Annabeth carefully wrapped Natasha's wrist.
"No." Tony muttered.
"Good."
"ANNABETH!" A boy appeared from the shadows.
"Half a mo." The blonde finished, twisting the gauze and tightening a strip of medical tape around it.
"Okay. Where'd he come from?" Tony asked.
"This is Nico." Steve supplied.
"Another immortal?"
"No. I was put in a place where time stands still. Annabeth found me a few years ago. Annie, I've got important news." She motioned to the table, immediately business.
"I saw Percy."
"WHAT?!" She was on her feet. "Where, when, why, how do you know it was him, what was going on-"
"Annabeth! I can only answer so many questions at a time!"
"Sorry." She looked down, wringing her hands.
"Okay, so I went to Will's house yesterday. When I got there, he wasn't in the house. I called his name and he called me out onto the patio." Nico paused, thinking about how to word the next part. "I stepped out and almost immediately heard a noise. Kind of like something metal being dropped from a low height onto concrete. I looked up and a man dressed all in black was on the opposite roof.
"I shouted and he took off. So I shadow traveled to his roof and followed him. He jumped onto a plane and got away, but I know it was Percy. Don't ask me how, but I know! The messy hair was there, he had a wave decal on the back of his jacket-thing.
"The problem is...I found a gun on the roof. And not just any gun. A sniper rifle. I think Percy's been turned."
Annabeth turned to Steve. "Could it be possible?"
The blond man shrugged. "Bucky survived the same fall as Percy, only losing his arm. Percy has a higher pain tolerance and a much higher resistance, theoretically he should have survived too."
"So this Percy kid is with Hydra?" Clint asked.
"You said wave decal?" Natasha suddenly spoke up.
"Yeah."
"There's a grey man. An assassin. A story, like the Winter Soldier." She pulled a pen and paper from a drawer and began to sketch a small design.
"This what you saw?" She held it up to Nico.
"Yes."
"We're dealing with someone more dangerous than the Winter Soldier."
"Who is it?" Tony whined.
"The Sea Warrior."
[A/N YAY I'M BACK! I've got some updating to do, huh? I'll work on that. Enjoy, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me what you think of Mentally-Damaged!Percy]
