☆chapter 4☆
Azurine's mother pulled a chair out from the table and motioned for her to sit, but she would have rathered to sit at the farthest end of the table, away from her mother. Sadly she had no choice but to sit diagonal from her mother. Breakfast was served, since it was just Azurine and her mother, (Prisma didn't need to eat) they were served a giant stack of fluffy golden brown pancakes, fruit and berries drizzled with syrup. As delicious as the food looked, Azurine didn't have much of an appetite, how could she? It had just dawned on her how close she was to getting caught seeking out! What would've happened if Azurine hadn't noticed the time and left? Her mother would have torn the entire kingdom apart! What if she tried to destroy the other kingdoms-
"So," Her mother said in a chilling voice. Azurine jumped, her skin crawled at her mothers tone, she had been so lost in thought she hadn't even realized her mother had been giving her a cold stare. When Azurine met her mothers gaze she continued, "I must talk to you about these.. 'Friends' of yours." Azurine felt her heartbeat rise, she could feel her mothers contained anger emanating from her body, it made her feel extremely small, and it was all she could do to not shrink into her chair to hide while still meeting her cold and dark blood red eyes.
"What about them?" Azurine spoke up, she was surprised that she was able to keep her voice as calm as it was. Her mother even seemed a little shocked as well, or was it because of the question itself?
"Oh my dear Azurine, friendships only get you hurt! You do all you can to keep them people close to your heart, only to be stabbed in the back when you need them the most!" Her mothers words made Azurines blood boil. What did she know? Azurine's need to defend her friends began to overpower her fear.
"You mustn't have had very good friends then! Oh wait! Your always too cold hearted and full of yourself to even try and make friends!" Azurine replied savagely. She f elt her mothers anger turn to rage, but she seemed immune to it. "You don't get to decide my life! You don't even care for my happiness, you only want me to be like you and manipulate me!" Azurine's anger was beginning to boil over, all these years of suppressing her emotions was finally about to be let out.
"You better watch your tongue young lady! You wouldn't want to see me lose my temper."
"I'm tired of you controlling everything I do! I'm not your little doll to dress up and do everything you say! Just accept the fact that I'll NEVER.BE.LIKE.YOU!" That seemed to be the final tick for Azurine's mother, just as Azurine had stood up from the table to leave, she was violently lifted up in the air using magic and thrown across the room! She landed hard on her side and gasped in pain, she felt her whole left side beginning to bruse. Her overburning anger was immediately extinguished and replaced with strong fear. She was now hit with the excruciating amount of intense aura emanating from her mother, it seemed like it was trying to burn her insides. Prisma was immediately at her side and trying to help her up while trying not to pass out from the Queen's aura, (Entities were much more sensitive to powerful auras, meaning they can sense an aura much easier than their connected soul) meanwhile Azurine's mother was standing where she had been thrown from. Azurine felt her body go cold from her mothers deathly cold glare, she couldn't look away, couldn't move, couldn't make sense of her surroundings nor her body, the intense fear and adrenaline seemed to mask the pain of her landing.
"Azzy!" Azurine snapped out of her fear, as though she had zoned out for too long. It took a moment before she realized it was Prisma who said her name! Azurine needed to get her out of here, who knows how her mother would punish Prisma for Azurine's actions! That got Azurine on her feet and running with Prisma following before her brain could even think. She had to get to her book and wait in the Enchanted Grove. Was her mother following her? Azurine didn't want to wait and find out because she was finally at her chamber. She swung the door open, Lady Miranda and the chambermaids were no longer cleaning the puddle of water left by Prisma's prank. Azurine chucked open her closet and dug through it until she found the dark leather book that teleported her to the Enchanted Grove. Making sure that Prisma was holding on tight to her hand, Azurine opened the book and instantly teleported in the same white light as before.
