Elijah pov
I was with Finn outside of a large field. I took a deep breath and sped to the spot. Finn was next to me and we soon got a wooden casket out of the ground. I opened it and was shocked. Our mother was well preserved and breathing.
"Her heartbeat. She's alive." I nodded and picked her up. I set her down on the ground and brushed her hair. Mother. Suddenly she gasped and her eyes opened. I froze shocked and Finn spoke.
"Mother?" She stared at us and spoke.
"Finn? Elijah?" I smiled and spoke.
"Hello mother." She sat up and brushed my cheek.

Elianna pov
I stared at my boys then spoke.
"How did you find me?" Elijah smiled softly and spoke.
"My mate. She did a spell to find you." I was shocked.
"You've found your mate?"
"A few of us have mother." Finn answered. I smiled gently and brushed Finn's hair back.
"You're so grown." I got up and spoke.
"Where are your siblings?"
"At home for the most part." I raised an eyebrow at my second eldest boy and he smiled wryly.
"Freya vanished. And.....Henrik and Ruth.....They were murdered. By Mikael." I froze shocked.
"You're certain he killed them?" Elijah nodded his head.
"We found Henrik's body and Ruth's bed was covered in blood." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I opened my eyes and spoke.
"Let's go to your siblings." Elijah smiled and spoke.
"Of course."

When we made it to the house Elijah helped me out while Finn got the front door. We got in and I heard a voice.
"Mum?" I looked up and saw Kol there.

"Hello my little fox." He sped over and hugged me tightly. I held him close and soothed him.
"Hush my little sly one." Kol closed his eyes and cried into my arms. I looked up and saw Niklaus and Rebekah there.

Rebekah was the first to react. She sped to me and sobbed into me. I sank down with her in my arms and held her while she cried.

"Oh my darling girl. My sweet little flower." Rebekah sobbed more and Elijah came over. He bent down and put a gentle hand on her back. She went into his arms and I stood up. I went over to my sweet miracle. My Niklaus. I put a soft hand on his cheek and he broke. I held him close as he cried.

Later I was resting in my room when I heard something. I looked up to see Elijah hovering. I chuckled and spoke.
"Still the protector I see." Elijah smiled and came over.
"I am just relieved you are back." I chuckled and shook my head.
"Mmm. There is something you are keeping quiet." Elijah hesitated then sat down.
"Why did you stay with him?" I froze then looked at my noble son.
"Elijah."
"You had a chance. We had a chance at a happier life. With Christopher." I flinched at the name of the one man I truly loved. Mikael had murdered him right before he killed me. Elijah continued.
"Mother you always told us he wasn't always like that but he was so cruel. He ruined any chance of you being here. Our supposed father deserves far worse then death. I still remember when Finn and I saw you and Christopher. I've never seen you like that mother. So at ease and happy. It was before Niklaus was born and you looked like you were in love. As if the only thing that mattered was your happiness." I stood up and went to the window.
"Enough Elijah. That was so long ago."
"But what if it wasn't. What if Christopher could come back. And Henrik and Ruth."
"Enough!" Elijah looked at me and I sighed.
"Elijah. I wish more then anything to go back and change it. To murder your father. To leave when Christopher begged me to when I was expecting Henrik. But I thought what's a few more years? Surely Mikael would not actually kill me. I've given him children. Put up with his running around. Done everything to put up with him. Surely he wouldn't kill me. I was naive my son. Naive and stupid. What I should have done was leave the minute I found out about Henrik. I should have killed your father and ran with you all. Better yet I should have let Christopher do it. He wanted to but I stopped him. Said that my children didn't deserve to see their father like that." Elijah came over and hugged me.
"Mum. I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault love. It's mine. I should have protected you all." Elijah held me close then spoke.
"Mother. Get some sleep. We'll stay here and we will be safe." I nodded my head and went to lay down on my bed.

Elijah pov
I watched as mother slept peacefully. I took a deep breath then went down to where the others were.
"We have to do something." Rebekah spoke up.
"What do you suggest Elijah?" I sighed and went to a bookshelf. I found a grimoire I was looking for and flipped through it.
"This. We should use this spell." Finn saw it and spoke.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Yes. I'm sure."

That night we were in the backyard trying to focus on the spell. Suddenly a light appeared and we saw a body come in.

"Well aren't you all as resourceful as your mother?" I spoke.
"Christopher."
"Elijah. It's been a while. Where is your mother?"
"She's asleep. Upstairs." He nodded and went upstairs to our mother. Finally. Our mother would be happy.

Eliana pov
I woke up to someone stroking my hair softly. I opened my eyes and blinked a few times. I couldn't believe what was in front of me.
"Christopher?" He smiled and spoke gently.
"Hello my love." I stared at him shocked then sat up.
"Are you real?" He smiled and brushed my cheek gently.
"I'm here my true love." I reached over and kissed him which he gladly returned.

"How are you here?" He chuckled and spoke.
"Your children." I sighed and shook my head.
"Of course. I told them to leave it alone."
"And they didn't listen to you. Imagine that." I rolled my eyes and hit his chest.
