Elijah pov
I was looking over a few documents when Caroline walked in.
"Elijah. Who is this?" I looked up and froze when I saw the drawing in her hand. I sighed and called out.
"Niklaus!" My brother came in and saw the drawing. He took it and stared at it for a little bit before he sat down. By now the others were in here. Caroline spoke.
"Seriously who is that?" I shared a look with Finn then spoke.
"She's our mother. Our real mother." Bonnie spoke.
"I thought that Esther was your mother?" I scowled and spoke.
"Never. That woman was evil."
"Then your mother?" Kol spoke with bitterness in his voice.
"That man killed her." I sighed and gestured for the others to sit down. Once we all settled in I spoke.
"We've told you how cruel our father was but however bad to us he was he was worse with our mother, Elianna. She's the one who protected us and because of that he abused her in the worst ways."

Flashback in narrator pov
Ellie was in the garden teaching Kol and Finn about their magic when they heard shouting. Ellie paled and kissed her sons' heads.
"Stay here." She stood up and went to the noise to see Mikael beating Niklaus.

Ellie took a deep breath then ran over and put herself in front of her son. Mikael stopped for a second then smirked.
"You really think that will stop me?" Ellie did her best to keep calm.
"Not my son Mikael." Mikael's eyes turned dark and he grabbed his wife's wrists. He yanked her towards him and held his blade to her throat.
"I could kill you and not feel a thing." Ellie flinched but stood her ground. Mikael put his blade away then threw his wife down hard. He hit her across her face and spoke.
"You should learn respect woman." He raised his hand again and Ellie didn't hide the flinch this time. Mikael smirked and walked away. Elijah ran over to his mother while Rebekah ran to Niklaus.
"Mother." Ellie sighed and spoke.
"I'm fine my little noble." He wiped away the blood and spoke.
"Mama. Why does he hate us?" She sighed and brushed Elijah's cheek gently.
"Your father wasn't always like this my love. He just had a hard time." Finn hugged his mother tightly and closed his eyes. She smiled and spoke.
"Let's go inside my loves."
End of flashback

Bonnie spoke.
"Your father was a monster." I smiled wryly and Kol spoke.
"That is putting it very lightly love." Caroline spoke.
"So what happened to her?" We shared a look and Finn spoke.
"Our father."

Flashback
Eliana was humming a lullaby to seven-year old Henrik and baby Ruth.

For once everything was quiet in the Mikaelson household but Ellie was worried. It should not have been this quiet.

After a bit Mikael shouting for his wife was heard. Ellie flinched and sighed. Mikael came in and grabbed his wife wrists and yanked her up.
"So you want to leave me do you?!"
"What?"
"Do no lie to me woman! Esther told me everything!! You are leaving with that lover of yours!!!" Ellie froze and tried to move back.
"Mikael. Please." His eyes darkened and he tightened his grip on her wrists.
"You will not leave me!" He pulled her out the door and threw her down.
"Look what happens when you defy me!"

Ellie looked up and let out a scream. Her children were on the floor with blood all over them. They had been stabbed. Mikael went over and leaned down.
"Don't worry woman. They are only temporarily dead. Esther did a little spell to change them. You won't be as fortunate." He hit her hard enough to draw blood. Suddenly the siblings all woke up.
"Good. Just in time." Mikael grabbed his wife again and threw her in front of the siblings.
"Drink her blood. Now." The siblings all looked shocked and Ellie looked terrified. After none of the siblings moved Mikael scowled and grabbed his wife by her hair.
"Very well then. Say good bye to your mother children. No one will ever leave me." He stabbed her in the stomach and then dropped her. Once Mikael left Elijah and Finn rushed over to their mother.
"Mother!" Elijah put a hand on her stomach and tried to stop the bleeding. Finn spoke.
"Please mother. Stay with us." She took a deep breath and spoke.
"My loves. I am not going to be able to stay with you. But I want you to be strong and remember who you are." The children stayed with their mother till the light went out in her eyes.
End of flashback

Everyone was silent for a bit.
"Wow. I knew Mikael was a monster but really?" Bonnie said. Rebekah spoke.
"Oh he's always been a monster."
"Wait. What happened to your brother and sister?" I sighed and leaned back.
"Mikael killed them after he killed mother." I stood up and walked out.

I went to the balcony and leaned on it. I touched the bracelet I always kept on.

Mother had given it to me when I was fairly young.
"Elijah." I looked up to see Bonnie there. She came over and spoke.
"What's wrong?" I sighed and spoke.
"I wish there was a way to bring her back."
"Maybe there is." I looked at her and she spoke.
"Think about it. Maybe there is a way. She was pure right? Then surely the ancestors wouldn't have a problem with bringing her back. All I would need is to know where she is." I hesitated then spoke.
"You need something of hers to track where she is?" Bonnie nodded and Finn spoke.
"Elijah and I may have just the thing." He sped away then came back quickly handed Bonnie the necklace we had kept.

Bonnie took it and spoke.
"This is hers?" I nodded my head.
"A blood oath necklace. Mother always kept it for protection." Bonnie nodded and got ready. Soon she found where mother was.
