Liam POV

I sighed as I watched Christian walk out the door with a look of frustration and disappointment on his face. I know we have only had one night together since he and I became mates and it's taking its toll on him, and me. 

A lot has happened since that night but that shouldn't stop us from being together, I have to fix that tonight. I sighed again and Devin and I went down stairs and outside to get in Christian's car, a couple pack guards were in an SUV in front of us waiting to leave. 

I get in the passenger seat and Devin gets in the back behind Christian.  He doesn't even look at me and looks like he is in deep thought. We start the two hour drive to Devin's pack house in silence. It's that way for about twenty minutes before Christian speaks, making me shocked at his question.  

"Is our emotional bond getting weaker or is that just me?" I didn't know what to say so I stayed silent trying to think of an answer. He sighs,  

"You hesitated so I guess it isn't just me.  I feel it getting weaker every minute, especially since we mated. Before I became this we had a much stronger emotional bond but now, its ceasing to exist for some reason. You think it would get stronger but it isn't, do you feel it Liam?" Before I had a chance to speak, that same white light that showed up the night of his shift appeared in the middle of the road, making him stop the car and we all got out. 

The car in front of us also stopped and they got out and ran over to us. Christian was on his knees bowing his head so we followed suit and the most angelic soothing voice spoke to him. 

"Hello my child, I felt you were in distress and were seeking answers about your bond to Liam and Omen's bond to Drake. I have an answer, one you aren't going to like and one I wish I did not have to give. You see my child, you will not be able to have a bond with just one mate forever, you will have many mates and many bonds over the years to come, you will  not be able to have a bond for more than a few days to a weeks time as it will become weakened after you mate with someone." The look on his face was nothing but anger and a hint of sadness. I saw his eyes turn red and I knew his wolf was now in control. 

"Why must this be, why do we not have the pleasure and joy of having a mate forever?" He asked in his chilling voice. 

"Omen, it is because of the blood line. His soul has been reborn so many times that his blood line has so much in it that he is his own kind and there is no other out there who is as strong as you both are and therefore cannot keep the bond you both desire because of the difference in power. Your mates no matter who they are will not be strong enough as time goes by to keep the bonds of emotionally mentally and physically. You both are getting stronger day by day in turn your bonds will get weaker. I am sorry my beautiful child, I wish to have brought you better answers." With that the light went away and Omen let out a high pitch heart breaking howl. We got back into the cars. 

"Liam may I speak to Drake please?" Omen asked me and I nodded letting Drake have full control.  

"Drake, I assume you heard the moon goddess? If I had known I wouldn't have mated with nor marked you, I would have rejected you because that pain, it would have been better than what is happening now, the breaking of our bond over nothing. I am so truly sorry for this and I hope you nor Liam hate myself and my human, we had no knowledge this was going to happen. I only hope and wish you to be able to recover and find the mate destined for you, I hope you will be happy forever." I could see the hurt in his beautiful red fiery eyes as he looked at me pleading with heartbreak written all over his face. 

"I do not blame you for this nor Christian,  Liam will be alright. He will have his pups to help him be able to heal in time." 

"Pups? He's carrying?" He asked in an even more heartbreaking voice than the look on his face.  

"Yes, three. Two boys and a girl and they look like you, they are beautiful. We will be alright, I just wish I could do something for you Omen, you both don't deserve to have a life of unhappiness and feeling alone like you do now. Also, Christian can't know about the pups, if he did he would put everything aside and stay here and with the breaking of the bonds we feel, you know how it would effect him and you, knowing that soon the bond will be broken and the hurt will be even more if he knew. Do not worry though I will contact you through mind link to let you know how he is doing and the pups.  They will be taken care of." 

"I know. Devin? You will not speak a word of this, do you understand me?" I looked back at him and he had tears in his eyes and running down his cheeks. 

"Yes I understand. I am sorry about what is going on, I lost my mate in the attack so I understand the heartbreak that you are and will be feeling even more so. Omen, I wish you and Christian all the best and hope one day you find the happiness you deserve." 

"Thank you Devin, I am sorry about your mate, I was just protecting the pack and my family, I hope you can forgive me over time." 

"I already did Omen, it wasn't your fault. I would have done the same if someone attacked my pack. We should get going though,  I need to see my pups." Omen nodded and I seen his eyes change to the beautiful blue of his human and I knew Christian was back. I felt his pain already, I felt it cut through me just like Omen's. He started driving again and I let Liam back to take control over his body again.  

"Christian..." I started to say but was cut off instantly.  

"Not now Liam please, not now. Let me process this for a bit." I nodded and he turned on the radio and the music filled the car. I looked back at Devin and noticed he was crying silently and wondered what happened but I'll ask later. We arrived at Devin's pack house and pulled up to a medium size mansion and got out.  

"Are you ready to do this?" I asked them both and they nodded.
