Omen POV

I have failed my human and he refuses to take over so he can spend time with our mate, if he did that, he would be calm and would be able to talk to Liam without getting so angry Kane won't return. 

We have no way of even talking to Adam so he is worried I'm sure and I will have to go back, to at least be with him even if Christian won't. After about an hour running, I make my way to the pack house and see that sweet little boy that stole Christian's heart and go to him, he sees me and jumps up and hugs me. 

"Hello little pup. How are you?" I asked him as I sat down on my hind legs. 

"I'm great now that you're back. I missed you so much. Is Christian going to be ok Omen?" He asked looking into my fiery red eyes. Everyone was looking at me, waiting on an answer. 

"I honestly don't know little pup. He feels hurt and betrayed, by me and Alpha Liam. We made a grave mistake in not telling him something of importance." 

"You mean the pups that will be born soon from Alpha Liam?" 

"Yes, little pup." 

"Why is he upset about that? He should be happy for Alpha Liam, we are adding to our pack." I love this kid's innocence. 

"It's because he didn't know he was going to be a father, Alpha Liam and myself kept it from him." 

"Why would you do something like that? He would make a wonderful daddy, he took care of me and loves me like a daddy." I was at a loss for words, who knew a child could make me speechless like this. 

It took a few minutes to find the right way to explain this to him. 

"Ok Andrew, you are smart and wise for your young age so I will tell you. You see, Christian is one of a kind, meaning there are no other wolves/breeds like him and myself. We were told that we wouldn't find another wolf like us to mate with, our bond with Alpha Liam was weakening day by day and we are no longer mates to him so he choose to leave, he choose to not bring anymore pain to Alpha Liam, he was doing the right thing for Alpha Liam no matter how much it hurt us. He loved Alpha Liam so much Andrew that he put him before his own happiness and well-being, that is what a man does for the ones he loves. When he was gone, he was so lost. He was dying slowly, we were dying slowly. He didn't take care of himself like he should have and his soul wasn't healthy anymore. He wanted to give up because he was told he wouldn't be able to find a wolf mate for him and he didn't want to live alone and in pain like we were in all the time. That was until he had found his human mate, we first picked up his scent one day at a motel right after he left but he just left, he didn't want to put him or his human mate through the pain, again for him. So, for a month he lost himself until one night he met Adam, that night changed Christian and myself, we were slowly coming back to life. Turns out we can have a mate, just can't be a wolf mate. Our bond to Adam is very strong and he loves us Andrew. So, to answer your question, we didn't tell him because we didn't want to cause him anymore pain then he was already in. We were trying to protect him in any way we could." Andrew sat there and took my words in and had a sad smile on his face. 

"He will be ok, right? He will come back to his human self and play with me, spend time with me and become my daddy?" I felt Christian's heart break and he was crying. 

"I don't know little pup, he isn't saying anything right now. Remember when he first came here, and he couldn't talk, and he was shy?" 

"Yes, I hope he doesn't go back to that way. I love him how he is now." 

"We all do Andrew, why don't you go wash up with the other pups, dinner is about done." Liam spoke and Andrew hugged my neck and ran off. 

 "Is he really not going to come back or is he gone for good?" Liam asked me. 

"I don't know, he is hurt, we kept his pups from him Liam, he may never come back and if he does, he may not speak or want to be around anyone. I'm lucky I'm even here right now." He nodded. 

"Well if he does open his mind to you, let him know I would like to talk to him and that I'm sorry." I could tell he was sorry, I saw it in his eyes and heard it in his voice. 

"I will. I need to go see my mate, excuse me." I walked off and went to sit next to Adam. 

"Is he alright?" Adam asked me, I could feel his sadness for Christian. 

"I don't think so Adam, he's hurt and it's our faults. We should have just told him." 

"Told him what, no one is telling me anything." 

"Liam is pregnant with Christian's pups." Adam didn't say anything for a while. He just sat there looking out into the woods, watching the other wolves running around and some training. 

"Tell him if you can that I love him, I'm here if he needs me." With that he stood up and went inside the house.
