Dare!
I ended up texting Atachiu.
Me: How's Texas?
Atachiu: Amazing! You should've come with me. There are so many breathtaking sites here...
Me: I'm doing just fine, thank you very much
Atachiu: Things not going good with Rebecca?
Me: Whatever...
Atachiu: Truth or dare?
I was feeling bored so I immediately answered back
Me: Dare!
Atachiu: I dare you to burn Rebecca's house down
I shut my phone down. There's no way I can do anything to Rebecca. Can't believe the gut of that girl.
I knocked on Rebecca's door. "Need any help?" I asked. "No" she replied. I thought for a while. "Why don't you ask for help?" I asked.
She stayed silent for a while, wondering if she could trust me. Then she sighed. "You're a boy" she said plainly. What was it with me being a boy? I wasn't even a boy a couple of days ago. I was a girl who went Yandere for senpai and got myself in a pickle.
Man. I didn't have any feelings for Tim anymore. I drew my gaze to Rebecca. She looks so cute...
I'm losing it. Am I really going nuts for her? Another look at her again just reminded me about how beautiful she was. Surprisingly, I was completely okay with that.
I looked back at her again. "It's about the Girlfriend Fairy thing, isn't it?" I asked. She remained silent. "Look. I love you" I said. I can feel her eyes pierce through me, wondering if she could trust me. "I mean it"
With that, I walked away.
I stared at the ceiling in my room, reflecting. Just a few days before, I was a simple and thoughtless girl. Now, I am a boy falling from Rebecca. Wonder why that came along. Whatever. I'll just have to deal with it. I adjusted myself until I was comfortable and slept soundly.
I opened my eyes. My alarm rang. I reached to turn it off. I stood up and walked to the dining room. Rebecca definitely has her hospitality back, right? Or what I did scarred us forever...
I saw her. She was there. She was already eating her breakfast. I sat down and ate my breakfast as well. "What are you doing today?" I asked, trying to make conversation. "I am planning to animate" she started. I perked up. "But you would ask to help me so I guess I'll make a personal tour around my neighborhood for you" she continued. My shoulders slouched a bit. I would have more privacy in her animation with he- I should probably stop thinking about her. "Cool" I said.
"And this is where I have my picnics" she told me. We were standing in a park. A typical park. Full of trees and grass and flowers. Texas is full of them according to Atachiu. Rebecca dragged me across her neighborhood the entire morning and I was feeling a little tired. "Can we rest here for a bit?" I asked. "You know what? Let's have a picnic here this afternoon. Let's eat lunch back at my house first" she said. She started heading to her house. I followed.
