The fake grinned.

"I'm so glad you finally came out. I thought I'd have go come out as that would just have been embarrassing" she said with a cocky attitude.

Mineral's eyes widened in disbelief. She looked back at Kye with a pleading look.

"Tell me I just didn't-" she started but stopped. All the others were staring in confusion and shock behind Kye.

"Yea, you did" Kye said with a slow nod of mixed emotions. Mineral went ridged with horror. The fake laughed.

"Someone please explain!" Notch interrupted from the crowd. He pushed his way forward. The fake let out a snort of disgust.

"You're stupider than I thought" she said. Notch took a step back in disdain.

"Diamond!" Herobrine said with a warning tone. The fake shot him a glare full of daggers.

"You too if you can't even tell who your own daughter is" she said. An aura of anger enveloped him.

"Take that back right now" he said

"Or what? I'm not your daughter. Never was" she smirked "besides, your real daughter's a wimp. Big one too"

"That's it!" Mineral couldn't contain her anger anymore. She jumped at the fake, knocking her over. She just laughed in mineral's face before trying to push her off.

"Oh, so you do have a fighting spirit?" The fake mocked "then let's see you get back at me for all the times I've ruined your life" a grin was plastered on her face

"Min don't!" Endra shouted but her voice was lost to the blood pounding in Mineral's ears.

"Shut up. Right now shut up" she hisses on top of her. Another laugh escaped the lips of the fake.

"Ok, you think that'll work? Just 'asking'? How sweet. You are as innocent as he said you were" Lora said with the mocking tone dripping from her voice. Mineral lost the last of we control and punched at her face but it only hit tile.

"Not going to work" Lora's voice came floating to her from across the room.

"Get out and fight coward!" Mineral said looking around.

"Ooo, using big words are we?" The mocking was back but Min pinpointed where it was and teleported there just in time to catch her as she teleported away herself. Mineral grabbed her arm just as she was starting.

"Hey! Let go!" Lora said in a genuine fear. She hasn't been expecting that.' The file said she didn't have any powers. Steve had taken them.'

"No" Mineral said and they were gone.

A shocked silence came over the room as everyone turned to look at Kye as Endra.

"What" Herobrine said stepping forward "was that?"

They appeared in the forest a moment later, Lora trying to get Mineral off and Mineral trying to stab her. The only problem for Mineral was she had forgotten her dagger so she was trying to use the first thing she had found. A stick.

"No! Let me explain!" Lora pleaded, raising her hands to protect her face.

"No!" Mineral said repeatedly whacking her with the stick "you ruined my life! Because of you everyone hates me!"

"It's not like you were living it anyways!" Lora countered and managed to grab the stick. She broke it in two. "Now just listen!"

"Why should I?" Mineral said in a threatening tone. Her eyes started glowing slightly.

'That explains it' Lora thought looking up. "Because I have information you might want. I can tell you things you never would have guessed"

Mineral loosened her grip for a moment as she thought.

"What types of things?" She asked. Lora took this moment to kick mineral off and pin her on her back. She grinned down at her.

"Things like not trusting someone who ruined your lie" she said "after all, that's what it is. Your 'father' never meant o keep you and then there's the problem of your real on. What do you think he'll do once he actually figures it out huh? I've listened in on conversations he's had with mom. He's planning on locking you away so he'll never loose you again. Do you really want that?" She smirked pleased with herself.

"No" mineral said relaxing as she thought "but I'd rather they knew now instead of you living my life for me and burning any bridges I might have left" and with a push she was back on top.

"Now, now girls" a new voice said coming from the edge. "There's no need to fight.

Mineral looked over and saw the boy from the square leaning on a tree with a smirk plastered on his face. Lora grinned at him and managed to get out from under Mineral again.

"Hello Xavier. Is the job done?" She asked. The boy nodded with excitement flashing in his eyes.

"The cooks took it and by tonight" he drew an invisible line across him neck grinning. The fake smirked and looked at Mineral.

"Guess you'll be there just in time to greet them" Lora said. She turned to look at Xavier "you brought it right?"

He rolled his eyes and drew a long, diamond sword

"yea, forget the most powerful thing from the ransoms. That'd be great" his voice dripped with sarcasm. Lora rolled her eyes.

"No need to get pushy with that" she said "let's just get this over with and go. She spilled the beans back there before we left"

Xavier groaned "seriously? But I had a note all made up already!"

"Well you'll have to forget about that then" Lora said. "it's no use anymore"

"Unless they're too stupid" Xavier said. Mineral took that moment to lunge at him, nocking him over.

"Never speak like that about my family around me" She hissed. He only laughed and pushed her off roughly.

"Now, that's not really how you should be talking to the people with the big sword now is it?" he mocked brandishing the wondrous sword.

"Oh? And what are you going to do with it?" Mineral challenged. Anger was washing over her in waves. The boy grinned.

"This" He said and thrust the sword straight into her gut. She fell back with a gasp.

"Well that went a little off plan" Lora said staring with a passive face "but we can't change it. Let's go"

"Aw, but I want to watch" Xavier whined with a grin "it'd be interesting to watch"

Mineral was gasping for breath at this point, an almost pleading look on her face mixed with disgust and hate. Lora shook her head.

"No, the others will be coming soon. Unless you want to be caught and tried with murder I suggest leaving" and with that she turned and walked off, an unsettling feeling of guilt in the pit of her stomach.

The boy sighed and took one last look at the growing pool of blood. "It would've" he said and followed.

She watched them go. Her vision starting to blur.

"Why does that always take so long" Steve grumbled as he pushed himself off the ground. Respawning had taken longer than usual. Usually it was only a couple hours, only once was it a full day. Yet this time it took a full week.

"Must've been how they killed me" he muttered and walked through the tree on his temporarily weak legs. Respawn did that to you ya know. He headed towards it and looked at his reflection. He couldn't help but grin.

"I love respawn" he said as he examined his now younger looking body. He shook his head, clearing his thoughts.

"No, gotta stay on task" he said and started through the trees again "I have to warn them"

He rushed through the forest faster than he could have before but stopped when something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. A glint through the trees.

"I'm too late" he said and rushed towards it. It took seconds for him to find the scene.

Mineral's breath had slowed to a barely seen rise and fall of her blood soaked chest. He approached cautiously. Her head moved slightly to look at him.

"Dad?" She said weakly. It was barely above a whisper. Steve knelt next to her.

"Sh, it's alright. I'm here" he said, tears coming to his eyes. She gave a shuddering breath and tilted her head to the side.

"Not- you" the sound barely escaped her lips "dream" her eyes started closing.

"No, no you don't" Steve said desperately now "don't you close your eyes" he moved forward and took the hilt of the sword.

"Wh-" she started but he stopped her.

"I'm doing something I should have done long ago" he said and pulled the sword out.

The two were staring over the counter at the cook. He didn't know it but his pantry was about to be raided by the two best treat thieves in the castle and he wouldn't suspect a thing until it was too late.

"Ready?" Creed asked in a whisper looking still Angel. She nodded and they set the plan into action.

She darted out and into the cupboard as he waved his hand. Slowly, the oven door opened and fell with a thud. The cook stopped and looked. He walked over to investigate and Angel ran out with the first load of loot before the cook went back to work.

She ran to the hall and out it in the spot they had agreed on, a tapestry that went to the ground right outside, before running back in. She stopped next to Creed and nodded with a grin. He smirked back and got ready. She waved her hand and a bag of flour tipped over into an empty pot below. Again, the cook stopped what he was doing and went to right the bag grumbling. Creed took the chance and raced into the cupboard, coming out with arms full of goodies. He met back with Angel behind the counter again.

He waved his hand, an egg popped out of one of the cartons and hit the chief, Angel ran into the antsy and into the hall before switching. This went on until they figured they had a good enough stash, aka, when the cook finally caught on to what they were doing and shooed them out with a warning. After all, how many times had he done the same thing as a little just looking for a bite to eat.

"It is pretty big" Angel commented once they had carried everything back to their room. In all the pile was big enough to fill five bags of flour.

"If we hadn't gotten caught we might've gotten more" Creed said. Angel rolled her eyes

"Mamma always says to be grateful for what you have" she said and took a piece from the pile. A small sucker with several others like it. She popped it into her mouth and smiled.

"Besides" she said through it "these are pretty sweet" she smiled. Creed nodded.

"Yea, I guess you're right" he said taking one of the same type. Blue raspberry flavored "besides, we can always go back to get more" he said as he started sort the goodies.

Soon, the two had made piles of candy sorted by type and color.

"I want the pinks" angel said gathering them up.

"Blue for me" Creed said taking them

"Green"

"I'll take the purples"

"Aw, but I wanted the purples"

"Well I called them"

"So? You're a boy"

"What's that got to do with anything?"

"Boys shouldn't like purple"

"Says who?"

"Says everyone"

"Well girls shouldn't like green"

"Why not?"

"It's a boy color"

"I'll take the blacks if you don't like them" a new voice cut in. The twins stopped arguing and looked at where the voice came from. Colin stood in the door.

"But if you like them you can have them" he said standing there looking at them yet not directly.

"Who are you?" Creed asked curious.

"Um" Colin thought for a moment "they call me Colin I think?"

"You think?" Angel said "don't you know your own name?"

Colin paused looking down then shook his head. "Just got it?" He said looking up. Creed and Angel looked at each other.

"Well come on in then" Creed said waving him in "you can have the yellows" he pushed the pile over to him. Colin smiled.

"Thanks" he said and plucked one of the suckers from the pile, popping it into his mouth as the three got back to sorting.

Everyone stared at Kye, some in shock others in anger and then some in confusion.

"So the whole time" Fluffy said being the main one confused "the girl we thought was Crystal was actually a fake, and Mineral was Crystal?"

Kye nodded unable to speak.

"So when we got here and asked if you knew where Crystal was you two lied?" Herobrine said, his anger pushed down in his chest. Kye nodded again.

"But, not really" she spoke for the first time since explaining "she's changed a lot. Not wanting to be found and all" he voice grew softer towards the end.

"Why didn't she tell us when the imposter came around?" Quartz asked. Kye shook her head.

"Do you realize how awkward that would have been for her? Suddenly coming out saying it was you when someone also claiming to be you that actually looks like you shows up?" She shook her head "most likely she would have let her go and live that life until the fake started messing everything up"

Notch hung his head "first our brother, now my niece, who's next? How many more are going to die here?"

"Hey!" Endra practically barked "it's not this kingdoms fault. We were fine before any of you came" she bristled. Her tail swishing on the ground. Notch looked up at her with a glare.

"An ender dragon shouldn't be in the over world either" he said continuing "they should all be bound to the end, unable to leave"

"Well it's lucky I'm not the ender dragon yet" Endra hissed "it's damn hard being one of the next in line, don't need to run back just yet"

"Yea, hate to go home wouldn't you?" Herobrine said looking off to the side "no one your age likes it"

Endra burst out laughing "no one my age? Really? How long do you think we usually live?" She asked in mock interest "because explorers come to slay us on a daily basis not many even make it to be full grown. Last to was-" she paused to think "king whiter, and he had just gotten to twenty when he was killed"

"So you mean-" Bajan started. She stopped him holding up a claw.

"That we don't live long? Yea, that's what I mean. Most my age and younger are practically dying to get out. No one willingly dies"

Just then the door burst open and all conversation stopped. Steve stood in the door holding the limp body of the one they were just discussing. Everyone stared in shock.

He was panting, shirt covered in blood, and a pained expression on his face. Mineral lay limp in his arms, nothing to suggest life had ever been within it.

"What-" Kye started staring at him. Steve shook his head.

"I found her" he said voice almost breaking "She was in the forest like this" Herobrine walked forward.

"How?" His voice was soft, almost inaudible.

"Sword" Steve said tilting the body a bit to show her wound. He set her gently on the ground and pulls the sword from his belt. He threw it on the ground in front of him.

"This sword to be exact" He had a murderous look in his eyes. Never had he looked more like his brother.Herobrine's eyes narrowed.

"are you accusing me of killing my own daughter?" Herobrine asked walking forward until he and Steve were face to face. Notch knelt next to the body and pressed two fingers to her neck.

"I'd save the fighting for after. She's still alive, barely, but still beating" He reported. Herobrine and Steve backed off immediately and rushed over. Indeed, she was still breathing, but the wound was extensive.

"gurads! Take her to the hospital wing NOW!" Endra shouted. In seconds guards ran in and had whisked her away, leaving a small spot of blood on the ground and everyone else left in shock.

They waited outside. Just... waited. No one was allowed in until teh procedure was done. It had only been an hour before a nurse walked out, head hung low.

"There was too much blood loss, if any of you have anything to say to her now would be the time. She's awake" The nurse said before walking off. The group stood solemnly watching befoe Herobrine pusheed his way in followed by Steve, Kye and Phil.

She lay in one of the hospital beds, hooked up to life support making her chest slowly rise and fall. her eyes wandered slowly and came to rest on the three visitors. she turned her head away. They walked forward.

"Who did this?" Herobrine asked quietly coming to the edge of her bed. she didn't look at him.

"I'm sorry" she muttered. it was barely heard. Herobrine shook his head and gently stroked her cheek.

"There is no need" he said "to say sorry" she nodded weakly.

"Now who did this?" he asked again, his voice gentler. She shook her head.

"Please min, we need to know" Kye said. "Let us help"

Mineral's eyes locked with hers. a moment passed before she spoke.

"Don't eat" she said her voice fading fast. "poison" her chest heaved with the effort before slowing and stopping. her eyes closed.

"Nurse!" Kye shouted looking behind her. the doctors hurried in and they were pushed out to again wait. this time, it was only ten minutes.

They sat in the throne room. A silence had settled on the castle, one of death and sorrow.

"What did she mean?" Endra asked, sitting next to Kye "by dont eat?"

Kye shook her head sighing. "I dont know" She said "Her last words and I dont know!" She grabbed teh nearest thing to her and threw it. Her crown. It bounced off the ground several times with a metalic thud before rolling to a stop near the door. Endra shrank back from her.

"I know why" she said quietly, staring with wide eyes. Before Endra could ask Kye was running out the door and down the hall. Endra followed quickly flying above her.

"Know what?" She called.

"Why they did it! And who they're targeting with the poison!" Kye said and ran into the kitchen. Everyone stopped and looked at her.so

"Throw all the food" she said

"We cannot do that!" The chef said

"Yes you can. And that's an order" Kye said "Throw all the food" she walked to the back and started looking through the shelves.

"Why" The chef said following her "Would we do that?"

"Its been poisoned" Kye said

"Ludicrous!" He shouted "None of my food is poisoned! It would not be let into the castle if it were"

"Then how do you explain the warning we were given?" Kye asked suddenly becoming cold. The chef looked at her surprised.

"Someone thought our food was poisoned?" He asked getting mad "Who was it? I'll set them straight about policies"

Kye looked at him with a stone face "Your leader, Mineral. She had been told right before she died the food was poisoned. Dump it all now" He stood for a moment shocked before turning to the staff.

"You heard her!" He bellowed "get to work!" people started rushing around the kitchen at a pace faster than seen before.

Kye watched for a while before calling the chef over "Anyone take any food out of here recently?"

The chef thought and shook his head "Only two little kids. But all they had were some sweets" Kye's eyes widened and she bolted into the hall. Again, endra followed her.

"What's wrong now?" Endra asked

"Look for the twins!" Kye said "and make sure they're ok" Endra nodded and flew off down the halls. She stopped when she heard a whimper coming from one of the rooms. She landed and walked in. She gasped at the sight.

Angel and Creed lay on the beds, peacefully still and unmoving. Another whimper came from the other side and Endra crept around the side. Her eyes widened at the sight of the Colin holding his tummy in pain.

The disguise had worn off, leaving him looking like he really was. A squid.

"How did-" she started. He looked up at her with big eyes.

"W- we just-" He was able to say before getting sick. SHe bent down and picked him up.

"Ok, let's get you cleaned up first" She carried him into the bathroom and set him n front of the toilet. He threw up again and she backed away.

"I need you to stay here ok?" she said. He looked over and her and nodded. She smiled and flew out into the hall. It didnt take long to find Kye.

"I found them" She said landing in front of Kye "And it's not good"

"Show me" Kye said. Endra lead her back to the room.

"Oh, by the way" Endra said right outside the door "Their's also a squid getting sick in the bathroom"

"A squid?" She asked just as there was a gagging noise. She walked in and stopped.

"Go get Seto and Herobrine" Kye said. Endra rushed off.

Seto shook his head at the sight.

"I cant do anything" he said sadly "It's too late"

"Try" Herobrine said looking at the two bodies.

"I cant"

"TRY!"

"They are too long gone!" Seto shouted back. He had a pained expression on his face. "nothing I do will bring them back" Herobrine shook with fury and grief.

"What caused this?" He asked.

"Poison" Kye said "It was in the food" Herobrine shook his head.

"Every time" he muttered "every time something good comes into my life" he walked towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Kye asked stopping him.

"To relieve stress" He said becoming much darker. He walked out into the forest as the sky grew darker.

Many villages burned that night.

Sorry for any grammar mistakes, my laptop was being a derp and not typing right. I plan to have the next chapter up soon- ish.
