Chapter 4: Assassins, Twins, and Mischief

So! I hope you've enjoyed this so far...um...chapter 4! Anyway! This chapter is in parts :) On with the show!

(Guinevere's POV)

Part 1:

When we got back to our room. I went to the mirror and stared at myself as if I was a stranger. Yarnia flopped on the bed and groaned. "What happened?" she moaned. "I have no idea, none of it makes sense!" I exclaimed. I turned back around and looked at her. I said, "You know what this means though, right?" "Yes, but I don't want to think about it." she replied. "Let's get something to eat." I said. As we walked to the kitchen we heard quiet murmuring from a room. I quickly cast a spell to make us unseen (unless we drew attention to ourselves). I whispered to Yarnia to be silent and we crept into the room. I saw the Warriors Three, Father, and Lady Sif in the room and Lady Sif was speaking. "Loki, you must go to the AllFather and convince him to change his mind." Father replied, "And if I do, then what? I love Thor more dearly than any of you, but you know what he is. He's arrogant, he's reckless, he's dangerous! You saw how he was today. Is that what Asgard needs from its King?" Father started walking toward where we were hiding and as I was trying to move out of his way, I nudged a table. Father's sharp eyes flickered towards us. His eyes widened a fraction before he looked away and continued on as if he had seen nothing. His face was full of mischief and he was wearing a slight smile. A few seconds after Father left Lady Sif continued speaking. "He may speak for the good of Asgard, but he's always been jealous of Thor." My cheeks burned with the unfairness of the statement and I wanted to burst out of hiding and yell to Lady Sif that Father did not want the throne and that Thor was a big oaf. In other words, was barely containing myself at that point. "We should be grateful to him. He saved our lives." I wanted to hug Volstagg. Hogun replied, "Laufey said there were traitors in the house of Odin. A master of magic could bring three Jotuns into Asgard." "Loki has always been one for mischief, but you're talking about something else entirely." Fandral said just before a knife whistled through the air and pinned Hogun's coat to the wall. Yarnia's knife was just an instant behind mine and pinned Lady Sif right next to Hogun. They looked around in astonishment, their eyes finally settling on our hiding spot. We became visible and their eyes widened slightly in recognition. My green eyes blazed with fury and when I spoke my voice shook with anger. "Our Father is no traitor to Asgard and you should do well to remember that or you will face our wrath." With that we stormed out but not before Yarnia sent a final wave of magic over her shoulder which retrieved our knives. They returned to our hands as we stalked out. A final glance over my shoulder showed the Warriors Three and Lady Sif standing where we left them, aghast with their mouths open. I looked down, we were still in our battle outfits. I smirked, what a sight we must have made, two green eyed, raven haired twins striding down the hall with daggers in our hands. Sometimes I loved being the Trickster's daughters.
