Chapter Fifteen
*edited*
Everyone was running around the pack house panicking and yelling out orders. Rogues, hundreds of them, stood surrounding the outskirts of our border.
"Children into the cellar!" Yelled Lincoln, his voice laced with authority as he mind-linked the pack warriors giving them their orders.
The warriors, men and women, began rushing to grab their spears, daggers and anything else they could get their hands on.
"Brielle, you are going to go in there with the children and the warrior stationed in there with them." He turned to me, pointing in the direction he wanted me to go.
"Absolutely not!" I snapped trying to go with the other warriors.
"I can't risk you getting hurt. If you are out there, I won't be focused on what I need to do." He snapped grabbing onto my wrists and pushing me back.
"But you can risk everyone else's lives, no way, I can take care of myself." I snapped as I tried wriggling out of his grasp.
"Brielle!" He roared. "This isn't up for debate, now get in there NOW!" Two warriors came up behind me and pulled me back.
"Lincoln! Stop!" I screamed thrashing in their grip, trying desperately to get away. They shoved me into the cellar with all the children before locking the door shut.
"Where is my mwommwy?" Cried a little boy. He must've been about three. I took a deep breath getting myself together, before looking at the room filled with at least fifty kids. Ranging from around 15-year-old teens all the way down to newborn babies.
The older kids held onto the babies while trying to keep the toddler's calm.
"What's your name?" I asked the little boy crouching down to be eye-level with him.
"Pweter." He spoke warily.
"I'm Brielle." I smiled at him. "Your mommy is outside keeping everyone safe right now, she is very brave." I smiled at him. He waddled over to me and gripped onto my leg.
I scooped him up and held him tight in my arms.
"It's going to be okay." We all jumped when a loud bang sounded from the iron door. Someone was trying to get in. The little ones all had tears streaming down their cheeks while the older ones were desperately trying to stay calm and collected. I quickly lowered Peter to the ground while trying to think of what to do.
"Everyone get back now." I ordered trying to keep my voice quiet. They all hurried back and used some crates as cover. This room must be used for storage when it's not a safe room.
"Open up!" A gruff voice sounded from the other side of the door.
I raised my hands, determined to protect each and everyone of these kids. I won't go down without a fight.
The door suddenly flew off of its hinges. I chanted a quick spell sending the unwanted visitor flying. More muscular men walked in and one of them was holding a boy, he seemed to be just of age to fight.
"Either you come with us, or we kill him, along with everyone else in this fucking pack." He threatened.
"How about neither." I snapped. They all fell to the ground gripping at their heads screaming.
That's when everything went dark as I slipped away.

Lincoln's POV
My warriors including Rosa stood ready to fight. There were hundreds of snarling rogues waiting for their orders. It wasn't uncommon for a few rogues to band together but this, this was an army of them.
One of the bigger rogues stepped forward, my wolf was still larger but he was pretty close.
"I am the leader! I have one demand and we will leave."
"Give us your Luna and we will be on our way, if not we will blow up your sorry excuse of a pack." He snapped. "The entire compound has been rigged with explosives, one of my men has a young boy captured from the woods, his life is also on the line if you don't hand her over."
"Why do you want her?" I growled.
"She has something I need." He yelled.
He raised a small cylinder with a small button on top. Probably meant to detonate the bombs.
"Do I even have a choice." I frowned looking at my dad, whose face was red with anger. He seemed like he was fighting his wolf from taking over.
"She's in the cellar with all the kids in the pack house, if any of them are harmed we will attack." I snapped.
He nodded in agreement.
That's when the least expected happened, five men were flung from the pack house, on fucking fire.
They were screaming rolling around on the grass, gripping their heads screaming.
"You dare to hurt us!" My mate screamed, but it wasn't her. It was something else. Her demon. Her eyes were completely black and her skin crawling with those black veins. As she unleashed her powers on the men.
She flung them around before snapping all of their necks. She then turned and faced the army of rogues before raising her hands. The ground beneath us was shaking and splitting where the rogues were. They all rose from the ground and before any of us could blink all of their necks were snapped. Except for their leader. She went into a different pose causing the ground to swallow him up, all the way to his waist. Brielle just killed all those people.
"Get her out of here and under control now!" I snapped at James and Rosa. The pack didn't even know who she was yet, this will leave quite the fucking first impression.
I motioned for all the warriors to follow right after me and towards the rogue leader.
"Iron chains." I growled. One of the warriors hesitantly places them in my hands. I ignored the burning in my hands and shackled them onto the wolf.
"Take this piece of shit to the dungeons." I ordered leaving them behind to go find Brielle. Whatever that was, wasn't her.
"Brielle Calm down sweetie." I barged through the cottage door and into the living room to see Brielle rocking back and forth gripping her hair on the floor.
"I killed all those people." She cried. "I killed all those people." Her fingers were turning white with how harsh her grip was.
"Brielle let's get you changed." I suggested and she violently shook her head.
"I-I-I'm a monster. I s-s-should've stopped it." She sobbed. I knelt down beside her pulling her onto my lap.
"It's going to be okay." I whispered to her as I tightened my grip around her shaking frame.
"Stop telling me it's going to be o-okay! I'm not okay! None of what I did was okay! So stop for once telling me it's going to be okay because it won't ever be okay!" She screamed her eyes flashing black before she took a deep breath and gripped at her hair impossibly tighter.
After about an hour we finally got her calmed down a little bit more and Rosa also gave her a sedative to help her fall asleep.
"What are we going to do now?" Asked James. "She can't control this and today showed what she was capable of."
