Hello everyone,

Mahabharat is an epic that talks about sacrifice, love, righteousness and many more emotions. There are many characters in the epic who are embodiments of  various qualities. However, only a few of them have been explored in detail. There are more characters who are misunderstood or underrated than those who are not.

In an attempt to shed the light on such characters, a group of my friends have started a community on wattpad called "The Elysian Arcane" As a part of their first project, a lot of us who wish to aid them in bringing such characters to the limelight, have written a letter to the person we feel is not explored or misunderstood.

I have always been intrigued by the character Yuyustu and utilized this opportunity to pen down my thoughts about him. Here's a short letter from me to him.

Hello Yuyutsu,

This is a message to you from one of your admirers in Kaliyug. There are a plethora of reasons why I admire you. I am going to talk about one of the reasons today. You are a wonderful person with a strong character. There is a statement said by one of my favourite fictional characters in Kaliyug. "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to out friends." I think you prove this statement and also take it to a higher level. I personally believe it takes more strength and courage to stand up to your family than to go against your enemy or friend. You showed that courage. In the Kurukshetra war, you stood up against your own brothers, grandfather and raised your weapons against them. You stood up for what you felt is right and weren't afraid of it. You chose righteousness above family and there is no greater thing than that.

I cannot even imagine the guilt and pain that you would be feeling after surviving the war. Seeing the bloodshed caused and loosing all of your brothers must have been horrible. I doubt if your father and step mother accepted you whole heartedly after the war. All the taunts that you would've heard due to this decision and you still stood strong. You are an inspiration and an example for your future generations. I wish we had more stories about you in Kaliyug. I am not sure if anyone ever told you this but thank you so much for helping the Pandavas. Thank you so much for your support.
