The Witch Hunt Article:

The year (1984) famous serial killers tried for witchcraft. Hung and burned to death.

Caleb and Claire Sinclair, who were famously known as The Gemini Witches were born on June twentieth,1966 in Salem (the capital city of the State of Oregon, USA).

Their parents, Alice and Charles Sinclair never let the kids out of the house. Most of their neighbors didn't even know they had children until the year 1971 when the kids were five. The neighbors reported they heard screams coming from the house. 'It sounded like someone was being slaughtered. We panicked and called the cops, not long after the fire broke out.' the neighbor (name not mentioned) told the police after they arrived at the scene.

The police found Caleb and Claire hiding under the dining table unhurt. None of them were able to remember what happened and since they couldn't find anything on the parents, they put the both of them in foster care, where the woman in charge (Betty Copper) noticed how they were always together and never playing with the other children. She described them as one in one as they both did the exactly the same. They didn't share their things, and most of the kids were scared of them.

November nineteen, 1976, Copper found the both of them outside around midnight after not seeing them in their room.

'they were sitting criss cross on the ground, their hands together and staring into each other's eyes. They were whispering some things I could not understand and that's when I noticed the dead rats all around them. It was one of the most scariest moment of my life.' Copper said in an interview with the local newspaper after the kids set the foster house on fire for trying to separate them. Separation in the sense that they wanted to move Caleb into another room but the twin sister disagreed and the fire broke out.

Witnesses including Copper told the cop they created the fire and when they tried to question the kids, everywhere turned into flames, nobody survived.

The twins were on the run for the next eight years, leaving trails of nothing but ashes in their wake.

How they died hasn't been known to public but the both of them were found hung and burned on a tree in front of their childhood home.

The locals found them and reported to the police. They cut them off and after autopsy they were able to identify Claire but the other body wasn't Caleb or so the reports says. Claire body was stolen from the morgue days later.

This prompted the search for The Sinclair twins (bodies). The Witch Hunt.

All of the articles I've read had different stories about Caleb and Claire, but the only part that was the same was the 'hung and burned to death and everything after'.

Someone stole Claire body and left the supposed body of Caleb. It's just doesn't make any sense and it didn't say if they worked alone.

Who took Claire? And why has no one found them? It's been thirty eight years.

Why do I do now?

The internet isn't giving me full help and the library doesn't keep records of mass murderers, I just–

Wait a minute. The library doesn't keep records of mass murderers but the museum in the mansion does. I remember seeing 'Eric, the world destroyer' in the room. If that is there, then this story might be there too.

"God! I'm good." I clap my hands in excitement but the minute my hands touch each other I remember the place I am.

Shit! I almost forgot where I was for a moment there.

The only thing I need now is to talk to Damian and see if he can let me into the museum or I'm breaking into that shit hole myself. Argh! Now I have to speak to him.

Talking to him is the least of my problems. The main thing I should be worried about is: when will I go? How am I going to find the time?

The entire school will be filled with guest, and the staff will be on edge and alert, there will be eyes everywhere to keep the students from doing stupid shit. It's just a stupid contest, it's not that much of deal. Fuck!

Sighing, I reach to turn on the tap and watch my hands. I turn it off and wipe my hands on my apron before moving to grab the clean trays and pack them to where they belong. Penelope and I have been doing this for almost an hour and I didn't know we had so many students. Fucking wankers couldn't be more helpful by wiping off their trays and plates.

Penelope and I found a way to do the dishes without disturbing the other. She rinses the dirt off the trays and plates before loading them into the big dishwasher and when they're done, she removes them and loads in another while I wipe those and pack them to where they belong.

I know this might seem hard to believe but I hate the silence between us. Penelope is a bitch and I want nothing from her, but I can't help but feel guilty about what I did. I started it when I kicked the ball to her face and even though it wasn't intentional, I've tried putting myself in her shoes and the issues we have between us didn't make her believe that I didn't do it on purpose. She deserved the broken nose for trying to blow my brains out with the illusion spell but she didn't deserve to be shot at.

The only sound in the room is from the dishes and our footsteps. I drop the mp Caleb gave me in cafeteria because, well, he's an imposter until proven wrong and I want nothing to do with him.

I should be the better person because I know when to admit that I'm wrong, again, even though I have no control over it.

"So here goes nothing," I whisper and approach her with courage even though my heart is pounding like hell. I'm not really sure why I'm nervous because it's just Penelope. But I will be apologizing to her.

I make my way to her, she's standing in front of the sink, so I stand behind her and clear my throat before I start talking. "I'm sorry." There's no way to begin, I just start off with the apology. "It was never my intention for things to get that far, and I'm sorry I almost killed you." I chuckle at that because if someone said that shit to me, I'd punch them right in the face. "It's a shitty apology but accept this instead of an explanation."

Penelope turns back and her face widens but the look doesn't stay for long. She removes her earpiece and frown. "Did you say something?"

I raise an eyebrow up. She wasn't even listening and there's no way I'm apologizing again. No fucking way.

"What? Oh, no, it's nothing, don't worry about it." I wave my hands and close the chapter.

She chuckles and turns back to her chores before saying, "If you're going to apologise for being a psycho bitch, then do it do my fucking face, bitch."

I shake my head and bite my tongue to prevent me from replying her.

She heard and pretended as if she didn't. Real mature, Penelope. Real fucking mature.

I return to my station and continue working. We spend the next hour doing the dish and fuck, it's sucks. I don't think I can survive doing this again. My feet and back hurts.

We don't speak when we finish, I half expect a sassy remark from her but she gives me nothing. I turn off the lights before heading to my room. Jessica isn't there. I'm not surprised though, she doesn't like being around the people she has misunderstanding with. It's just the way she is and I don't want to be over my head and say she's finding this really hard because we're close.

Too tired to take a shower or do anything, I unload my pocket and crawl into bed. Five minutes later, I fall asleep.

****

The sudden shift in weight on my bed and hands on my shoulder, shaking me makes me shoot my eyes open. I let out a weak sigh before closing my eyes.

"I found something," Alicia informs me.

Good for you, Alicia Chains but can't she see that I'm sleeping.

I groan and turn to lay on my side, giving her my back. "Hmm... What?" I murmur.

Her hand grips my shoulder before giving me a little shake.. again. "I found something, come on, Cami, wake up."

Yeah, right as if that has ever worked.

"Can't it wait until after I'm fully awake?" I'm still tired from all the worked I didn't yesterday night.

"No, it can't. Get up."

Argh.

She won't leave until I hear what she has to say. Somehow she's even worse than Jessica, at least Jessica doesn't push me, she lets me do things at my own pace.

I sigh and lay on my bed, opening my eyes to get a full look at her and damn she looks bad. The dark circles and bag under her eyes is evident enough for me to know she hasn't slept in the last twenty four hours.

"Did you even sleep?" I ask and she shrugs like it's no big deal. I shake my head and ask the question she obviously can't wait until I'm fully awake to tell me the answer. "What did you find?"

"Get up."

"Oh, no."

When did she become so bossy?

"Don't make me drag you," she tells me in a serious tone and the look on her face says she'll do it if I don't stand up.

"Fine, can I at least brush my teeth?"

She frowns.

Great! Can't even brush my teeth.

****

On our way to her room, she starts telling me what she found. It's still dark outside and she was able to sneak into the staff buildings without detection. We sneak back into the dorms and don't start talking until we've entered the building. She wants to show me something and that's the only reason I'm here.

"Last night after you went to the kitchen, I went back to the library and did some research and I found something." She looks excited as she speaks like the idea of breaking the rules is a thrill for her. I think she finds it fun because she's a rule follower.

"What is it?" I whisper back to keep the conversation between the both of us. The building is quiet but we can't take any chances because the walls can listen and I don't want anyone else finding out. I'm still deciding if telling Alicia is a good idea.

"The Sinclair twins were hung and burned but they never found Caleb's body," she tells me everything I already know because she thinks I didn't know.

"Okay... hmm... Were they able to identify the second body?" I ask, going straight to the point. There's no need in beating around the bush and pretending as if I don't know. We don't have much time. I need to find out everything it is to know about Caleb and take him down before he takes me down.

She stops walking and faces me. "Yes."

My eyes widens. None of the articles I read mentioned the identity of the second body. Thirty minutes is a little time to read anyway.

"Who was it?"

"Elizabeth Copper."

What? That can't be right.

"The woman that took care of them at the foster home?"

She nods. "Yes!"

I shake my head. "But that doesn't make any sense, she died when the house burned down." Or at least that's what I read.

"The report said she did, and it also said she was the other body."

Okay, that makes zero sense. If the second body was truly Copper, then how the fuck did she survive the fire? And if what Alicia is saying is true then...

"Caleb might still be alive?"

She sighs. "Might be and even if he is, he can't be our Caleb because our Caleb doesn't look a day older than eighteen."

She is right about that too and since none of the articles provided pictures of the twins, we can't really come to a conclusion. Witches don't grow like humans but there growth is still rapid compared to other creature unless they put an anti-aging curse on themselves and if they do that, they'll remain the same until they die.

Can this be what Caleb Sinclair did?

I can't even answer that without trying to find out what his motives were. Why fake his death? Assuming it is him.

God! This shit isn't what I need right now.

"I mean, it can't be a coincidence."

Alicia looks like she has lots on her mind, her face is wandering like her mind. "No," she answers quietly. Moments later, life comes back to her face as she claps her hands and points at me. "Your date with him."

"What? The date isn't until Saturday." I remind her. "And what has that got to do with anything?"

I knew I shouldn't have said yes to that stupid date but I panicked. People were around and I didn't want to reject him in front of his friends.

"You can get to know him during your date, ask him to tell you more about himself and his twin sister." She pitches.

Sounds like a great idea but if he is the Caleb from 1984 then he'll know something is up.

"No! He'll suspect," I reply.

"Not if you grieve together," she adds.

"What the fuck does that mean?"

She drapes her arm around my shoulder and begin to walk me to her room. "Just tell him you lost your parents and tell him you understand what he's going through."

Trauma bonding, assuming that's what it means.

I mean, that could work.

Then I remember that I have the powers to look into people's memories. If he's talking about his sister, then I'll touch him and see what he's about.

"That's perfect, you are so smart, Alicia. We'll talk then I'll look into his memory."

"Yes."

Suddenly the metal bracelet weighs on my wrists. Shit! I can't look into his memories because I can't use my powers.

How in the hell am I supposed to know if he's telling the truth?
