Sumedh's POV
"Damn" Aditi said breaking the silence.

"Yeh to khud maut k muh me gaya tha" I said. She hummed.

"Bechara, be-maut maara gaya" Siddharth said.

Meenakshi came out of the room.

"Ma'am usne aur kucch nhi btaya" She said.

"What about Tanay's murder?" Aditi asked.

"Woh uss raat waha nhi tha" She said.

"Sure?" Aditi asked. Meenakshi nodded.

"Le jaao isko" Aditi said. Siddharth and Meenakshi followed her order.

"Good job guys! Aaj hamne kaafi kucch pta laga lia iss case k bareme" Aditi said.

"Haan? Kya kaha? Tareef? Aditi the mahaan ne tareef ki?" I said. She rolled her eyes. Everyone chuckled.

"Nautanki band. Jab kaam accha ho to tareef bhi hoti hai" She said.

Meenakshi's POV
I was preparing dinner when my phone rang.

"Hey Siddharth!!" I said. "Hi!! Kya kar rhi ho?" He asked.

"Khaana bana rahi hu" I replied, tired.

"Oh...mere lie bhi bnado na" He said cutely.

I chuckled.

"Kyu?" I asked. "Mujhe banana aata nhi aur ghar pe koi banane wali nhi hai" He replied. I chuckled.

"Accha aa jao, saathme dinner kr lete hai" I said. "Sacchi?" He asked. I was about to answer when I bullet shot a flower pot that I kept on a window.

That was so damn close to me. "Meenakshi? Kya hua? Yeh kya tha?" Siddharth asked.

I immediately sat down, hiding behing a kitchen counter. Me handgun was in my bedroom.

Damn it!

"Siddharth kucch nhi hua, everything's ok" I said looking here and there.

One more shot!

"Yeh kya hai? Btao na? Koi..." He asked.

"Siddharth tv hai" I said.

"Meenakshi me bhi ek police officer hu! Tv aur reality me fark jaanta hu. Kon hai waha? Me abhi aa raha hu!" He said and ended the call.

There was silence for a couple of minutes.

I was about to stand up and then firing started again. This time is was non-stop.

I simply didn't know where was it coming from. There were more than two people.

After sometime it finally stopped.

They threw a paper through the window.

I read what it said.

"Yeh case band krdo. Hamari gang ka ek aadmi pakda to kya hua, ham abhi bhi sab khatam kr sakte hai." It said.

I gritted my teeth.

Someone rang the doorbell.

First I went and took my handgun and then went to open the door.

I pointed the gun towards the door and then opened it.

It was Siddharth.

He hugged me tightly.

"Tum...theek ho na?" He asked.

I hugged him back.

I wasn't scared but I was feeling safe in his arms.

I closed my eyes. There was silence for a couple of moments.

"Meenakshi?" He said.

"Haan...me...me theek hu" I said breaking the hug.

"Kya hua tha yaha pe?" He asked. I told him what happened and showed him the paper.

"I can't believe this!!" He said angrily.

"Siddharth it's okk na, me bilkul theek hu. Aur rahi baat iss sab ki, to ham kal Aditi Ma'am se baat kr lenghe" I said.

"Listen, kal ka kal dekhenge, aaj raat me yehi ruk raha hu" He said.

"What? Yaha? No! Pagal ho kya? Dekho me bilkul theek hu" I said.

"Meenakshi woh wapas bhi aa sakte hai" He said.

"Siddharth I can manage...me bhi ek police officer hu" I said.

"I know par ese mujhe poori raat tension lagi rahegi" He said.

"Please Meenakshi...itna to bharosa kro mujhpe. Tum apne bedroom me so jana me yaha couch pe so jaunga" He said. I smiled.

"Wesi baat nhi hai...accha chalo theek hai" I finally agreed.

An ear to ear smile came on his face.

Siddharth's POV
I woke up when my phone rang. I opened my eyes and picked up the phone.

"Kon hai be subhah subhah?" I asked.

"Tumhari...me Aditi bol rhi hu" Ma'am said angrily.

I immediately stood up. "Jai Hind Ma'am" I saluted even if she wasn't infront of me.

"Time dekha hai? Kaha ho? Aur, Meenakshi, woh kaha hai?" She almost yelled.

"Ma'am...ham aapko aake sab btate hai" I said and ended the call.

I sat on the couch. I looked at the couch on the left: Meenakshi was sleeping there. The night before she decided to sleep in the sitting room just because she didn't want me to feel alone.

She was looking so cute. "Kese jagau yaar ise?" I thought.

I finally stood and went to her.

"Meenakshi" I called her sweetly. She didn't wake up.

I tapped on her cheeks and called her again. This time she simply hummed.

"Meenakshi late ho rahe hai ham...chalo na, Aditi Ma'am ne call bhi kia" I said.

Listening to this, she woke up with a jerk.

"To chalo na...yaha kiska wait kr rhe ho?" She asked rushing towards the bathroom.

What?

Seriously?

Aditi's POV
"Tum logo ne kal raat hi phone kyu nhi kia mujhe?" I asked. Siddharth and Meenakshi simply stood there staring at the floor.

"Upar!!" I said. They looked at me.

I cocked my eyebrow. Siddharth made a weird face and then looked at me normally.

Sumedh and Ommy were standing behind me.

"Sumedh stop behaving like a joker!" I said as I knew he was making funny faces.

"Tumhari aankhe peeche bhi hai?" He asked.

"Haath bhi hai, dikhau kese zor se padti hai un haatho ki?" I asked turning towards him. He shook his head.

I turned towards Siddharth and Meenakshi.

"Kya hua sab ese kyu khade ho?" Someone asked.

We looked at the entrance.

Oops!

DCP  Sharad Kelkar.

"Jai Hind Sir!" We all saluted.

"Kisko class le rhi ho Aditi?" He asked.

I told him what happened.

"Mujhe pehle kisi ne inform kyu nhi kia?" He asked.

"Sir mujhe khud abhi pta chala hai" I said.

"I can't believe it!! Baat itni aage badh geyi hai! Thank God she is fine" He said looking towards Meenakshi.

"Aditi..." He said, I looked at him "yeh normal baat nhi hai. Ispe serious decision lena chahiye hame, abhi" He said. I nodded.

"Sir aap jo bologe ham karne ko tayyar hai; we will follow your orders" I said looking at my team.

"Hmm, I know" He said and took a pause, "okay, aadhe ghante me, everyone in my office" He said.

We nodded and saluted him. He left.

"Kya socha hoga Sir ne?" Ommy asked.

"Don't know...filhaal Riya ko bulake lao yaha pe" I ordered. He nodded and went to call Riya.

"Kya yaar...ek problem ka solution nikla nhi hota k dusri saamne aake khadi hi jaati hai" Sumedh said.

"Meenakshi, tumhe hame bula lena chahiye tha" I said again.

"Arey kya faiyda hota???" Sumedh asked annoingly, "ham waha jaake kya ukhaad lete? Jab takk pohonchte tab takk woh log rafu-chakkar ho gey hote!" He completed.

I rolled my eyes.

Well, somewhere inside, even I knew that he had a point.

Riya and Ommy came.

Riya ran and hugged Meenakshi. I rolled my eyes.

"Bharat milaap ho gaya ho to DCP Sir k office me chale? Ya kucch baaki hai abhi?" I asked Riya.

Everyone nodded and we left for DCP Kelkar's office.

Aditi's POV
"So..." DCP Sir said, "mene faisla kia hai k ab tum sab ek saath rahoge" He said.

We looked at him with widened eyes.

"Yes, ab sab ek saath rahoge ek bungalow me jo hamari taraf se dia jaega. Pesa-vesa sab ham dekh lenge, par Aditi tum aur tumhari team wahi rahoge, at least tab takk jab takk yeh case khatam nhi ho jata" He said.

"But Sir saathme kyu?" I asked.

"Aditi saathme rahoge to ese khatro se bhi ek saath ladoghe. It'a better for you guys. Aaj shaam takk tum sab uss bungalow me shift ho jaane chahiye" He said.

I was about to say something but he spoke in between, "And this is my order!" He said. We finally saluted him and walked out of his office.

"What the hell?" I said gritting my teeth.

"Aur kholo sab patte uske saamne!" Sumedh said.

"Shut up!" I said, "baaki sab to theek hai but me tumhare saath to bilkul nhi rehne wali!" I almost shouted.

"Mat raho, hame koi naya ACP mil jaega" He said chuckling. I rolled my eyes.

"Chalo at least sab saathme honghe. Case pe bhi kaam kr sakte hai. Aur saathme har kaam accha hota hai" Ommy said.

"Aditi koi help kru?" Sumedh asked when I was dragging my luggage towards my bedroom.

"No thanks!" I exclaimed.

He simply nodded and went.

Rude. "Ek baar aur pooch leta" I thought.

Finally everything was perfect.

"Sabko apne apne rooms mil gey?" I asked.

"Yes!" They said in unision.

"Sabka samaan aa gaya?" I asked.

"Yes!" They replied.

"Sabne settle kr lia?" I asked.

"Yes!" They replied.

"Kisiko koi problem?" I asked.

"Yes!" They said.

I looked at them.

"No!" They said. Everyone chuckled, including me.

"Come on, dinner time. Aaj bahar se kucch mangwa lete hai" I said.

"Pizza!!" Meenakshi said. I smiled and nodded.

Siddharth ordered pizzas.
