The Last Entry From One, Winnie Shelby

One Day Later | Dear Diary,

Andy asked me on another date. I tried saying no, that I was busy but he fucking. Called my bloody house and I asked why but he wouldn't answer, just said it was important. But Tommy told me explicitly to stay home. He told Fawnie, Finn, every fucking body. To Stay Home.

But Anderson sounded so wounded. I couldn't not visit him. I have to. I have to see him.

I'll write back when I return. I told Fawnie not to tell anyone. "It'll be our little secret, yea?" And she nodded with a smile. I do adore her.

I'm rushing to meet him at Artillery Square, Peaky blinders got a day off so I'll have a good chance of not being spotted. Maybe I'll be able to finally cut things off. For good. I hope I can.

Winifred Shelby never went home that afternoon, much like Sylvia Taylor, they both met the same fate; Death.

They were both murdered in one fell swoop. Sylvia's death was an accident that was immediately avenged but Winnie's was far more complex. The murder of Winifred Shelby was planned out for weeks, possibly months.

They'd planned to take more than one Shelby sister but thank god Fawnie Rose was too scared to leave the house for fear of what Tommy might do. And thank god Finn slept through the entire day due to being ill. He would soon recover, but Fawnie Rose would not.

For after Winnie was gone for three hours, the little girl snuck out to Artillery Square to find her sister... only to be met with a corpse–or two. Two children died that day. Winifred Shelby and one Anderson Wright.

No one would ever know why but Fawnie could give fuck all about the body of that damned boy. She only cared about her sister. She had blood on her hands as she ran all the way back to 6 Watery Lane to find Sylvia Taylor's body on the table... she too looked as dead as Winnie.

"Tommy, something's happened to Winnie,"

Little Fawnie Rose couldn't bear to say the words out loud but the look on Tommy and her aunt Polly's face told her they understood well enough.
