"POLLY'S CONVINCED HERSELF THAT NO ONE WANTS HER BABY." Betty sighed in defeat. The petite blonde was seated beside Jughead with her legs crossed on the red sofa. To her left were Kevin and Veronica sitting on another sofa, Archie seated on a dark turquoise chair right beside the Blossom siblings.
Xavier was leaning against the chair Cheryl sat herself in seeming disinterested in the conversation all together.
He only showed because Cheryl had dragged him into the student center for what he liked to call, the Scooby-Doo gang meeting. He pulled out his phone, mindlessly checking at the time that seemed to drag.
"Besides, of course, the child-snatching Blossom monsters,"
Kevin inputted, instantly regretting his choice of words.
Cheryl and Xavier turned to him, both siblings giving him a bland look that made his Adam's apple bob. Xavier's more than anything because despite the brunet's better judgment, he couldn't help, but secretly crush on the guy. He was tall, confident, handsome and mysterious. Something Kevin found himself to be admiring in awe.
Stumbling over his words, he back tracked nervously, "No offense, Cheryl. . ." He gulped when Xavier raised an eyebrow at him. Kevin's eyes widened. "Um, no offense to you too, uh, Xavier."
Veronica turned to her best friend, a small smile ghosting upon her lips when she saw pink streaks dust across his cheeks. Cheryl eyed Kevin up and down. Her voice was neutral yet the cutting edge in her eyes told him not to make the same mistake twice.
"None taken," Xavier smirked and nudged his sister. He leaned down to her level as Cheryl slightly turned her head to meet him. He was holding Kevin's eyes as he spoke with Cheryl. "Don't be mean, Cher. It's obvious Kevin didn't mean it. Right Keller?"
"R-right. Yes. Totally."
Kevin nodded wishing the couch could just swallow him whole. Jughead rolled his eyes at what his ex-best friend was doing. Leaning on his arm, he cleared his throat and summarized what the group had discussed in the last five minutes.
"So you're mom and dad want Polly, but not the baby, and the Blossoms want the baby and not Polly." Betty nodded as Jughead sarcastically continued, "That's a true Gordian knot."
"It's an impossible situation." Betty agreed making Xavier groan. He was regretting his choice each passing minute. He pulled out his phone again and scrolled through his messages aimlessly.
"Betty, come on. An impossible situation is being invited to both the Vanity Flair Oscar party and Elton John's Oscar party on the same night."
Curiosity is what distracted Xavier from his unread messages to look at the raven haired beauty. Kevin planted his hand on V who slowly turned to him in acknowledgment.
"Which happened to me one year, I know." Xavier raised an eyebrow at his current hookup. Kevin's eyes widened in surprise, but his smile displayed how starstruck he was at Veronica's lavish lifestyle. Veronica turned her attention back to Betty. "This is merely an annoying situation."
"You don't say, babygirl?" Xavier mused with a dissatisfied smirk. Veronica turned to Xavier. She narrowed her eyes and tilted her head. "But luckily, I've been percolating on an idea, hellishly simple in its conception."
"Which would be what exactly?" He questioned. He slid his phone in his back pocket easily while maintaining her eyes. He propped his elbow on his knee and rested his chin on his hand. "Do tell."
Veronica held his eyes, an elated grin stretching at her lips. Xavier's grin faltered. What did she have planned?
"What if my mom and I were to host a baby shower?"
"Count us in!"
Cheryl beamed, nudging her brother whose eyes became angry slits. Cheryl simply shrugged off his attitude and turned her attention back to the crowd. Veronica smiled in satisfaction. She turned her attention back to Betty.
"We want Polly to feel loved and supported, right?" Betty nodded, yet her less than eager demeanor was enough to give way to her lack of agreement. "Yeah, but ideally by her own parents."
Veronica ran hand through her hair, trying to figure things out. Xavier watched, amused by her stress.
"Okay, so, baby steps, girl," she dropped her hand to make gestures, "Get Polly and your parents in the same room, in a public setting where they can't fight, and voila, let the healing begin."
A snort escaped from the older Blossom. All attention was brought back to his lean figure. He embraced it with a smug smirk. His fingers nursed the lit cigarette he took a drag from.
"As if it'll be that easy, kitten,"
Xavier expertly puffed out a ring of smoke. Veronica shot him a look, but his playful wink was enough to make her smile. Kevin watched Xavier in fascination. He needed to stop pinning over straight guys. Xavier smirked when she turned away with flushed cheeks. His thoughts traveled back to the other night when he had her pinned against the teacher's desk moaning his name. . .
"Am I expected to come to this thing?" Jughead questioned with a little side smirk directed at Betty.
Confused by their banter, Xavier shifted his attention to Betty who seemed anxious. She didn't meet his confused stare.
"Of course! You're Betty's boyfriend, so. . ."
Boyfriend? Since when?
Veronica took a sip from her cup nonchalantly. Betty was hesitant to meet Xavier's eyes that were already on her. She couldn't decipher the look in them, but the slight tick of his clenched jaw gave way to his distaste. The blonde looked away, a small frown gracing her lips as the bubble of guilt grew in her stomach.
Xavier was shocked. How long were they together? The thought in itself was enough to make him growl. Betty was his. And Xavier wasn't one to share what he touched. Seeming just as upset by the news, Archie made brief eye contact with Xavier.
The ginger whose curls were dyed brunet couldn't help, but snort at the obvious discomfort the title made Archie feel. The Blossom shook his head, a wicked grin forming. Xavier continued to smoke remaining silent on the subject.
"Oh, my God, you guys, relax," Veronica laughed, oblivious to the tension building in the room. The couple exchanged glances. Betty seeming shy, but happy while jughead seemed smug. Xavier was slightly annoyed by the male's look. "It's just a word that starts with the letter 'B.'"
Betty looked at Jug, a bashful cheeky grin tugging at her lips. Xavier rolled his eyes and got up. He had enough for the day. He pulled out his phone and responded to one of his flings.
"So do we have everything established here? I want to leave already." Xavier announced unapologetically. "Or are we gonna continue talking about Riverdale High's princess and Hot Topic's newly profound love for each other?"
Xavier glanced at his phone to see she was asking where he was at. Veronica shot Xavier another look, but he shrugged it off. She rolled her eyes and shifted her attention to Betty with a smile.
"Betty, what do you say?"
Betty still flushed from the spotlight, simply smiled. Xavier rolled his eyes at her response and took it as his cue to leave just as Alice stormed in. He snickered, but didn't stay long enough to hear past the "Elizabeth Cooper" scolding session.
He had other places to be where his time was urgent and valuable. Xavier slipped out of the room with ease and avoided the sea of students and their questioning stares. He made a right, taking the shortcut to the girl's restroom that she occupied.

Is it empty or?
His phone vibrated in seconds. He took it out of his pocket and smirked at her response. He was leaning against the wall, a few feet from the door before he turned both ways and sprung into action.
throat goat
yes bby now hurry up😛
Xavier opened the door and slickly entered the restroom. His smirk only grew when he saw her leaning against one of the closed stalls with her arms crossed. She was chewing her gum haughtily. She blew a bubble and popped it with her teeth.
Xavier didn't say anything when he turned to lock the door. The loud click signaled that they were in the clear. No words were spoken between the two as Xavier reached her in a couple of long strides. She didn't hesitate to spit her gum to the side just as he gripped her thighs and tapped them. She jumped; he caught her with ease while her legs wrapped around his torso.
He placed her on the sink and smashed his lips against hers. She smiled into the kiss and opened her mouth for his tongue to enter. Xavier complied just as his fingers got to work in spreading her legs open to yank off her thong.

CHERYL WAS UPSET WITH HER BROTHER. Her mother was eyeing her, her glare making Cheryl shrivel on the spot. Nana Rose was oblivious to the silent scolding Penelope was giving to her daughter at the lack of Xavier's presence.
"Pray to tell where that pathetic brother of yours is, Cheryl? I thought you said he was coming."
Penelope snapped as the group got out of the elevator and made their way towards the Lodge's suite. Cheryl felt small; she kept her head lowered, her voice uncharacteristically low.
"He said he was running late."
"I don't know who's more of the disappointment to this family,"
Penelope rolled her eyes and lead the two towards the party. She glanced over her shoulder as her hand wrapped around the doorknob.
"You or him."
Cheryl raised her head to meet her mother's eyes, but instead forced a plastic smile on her face when she was greeted to the guests of the party.

Fire licked curls drenched in hickory fell into the eyes of Xavier Blossom. The boy was leaning against his vintage red jaguar taking a drag from his cigarettes. He busied himself with his phone that kept going off.
He scrolled through the messages lazily and cursed under his breath. Cheryl was blowing up his phone because he was late to the baby shower. He tilted his head back and groaned. Nicotine clouds slithered out of his parted lips and danced their way up to the stars.
He heard the passenger door open and close a few seconds after. He didn't turn when he heard her heels clicking against the pavement. He peeled himself off of the car and stood up straight. He glanced down at his phone again and sighed heavily.
Cher
where are u??
please don't let me down Xavy I need you tonight
His nose wrinkled in annoyance. He didn't want to go the stupid baby shower. He could care less for Polly and the baby. He didn't want to see Betty and Jughead together much less Veronica.
He wanted to get away, something his father advised him not to with the case still open. Small arms wrapped around Xavier's torso. Out of habit, his body became stiff as his hands gripped the wrists of the hands holding him in place.
His grip was firm, something that made her gasp in surprise and slight discomfort.
"Xavier! Hey, it's me," she said from behind him. He blinked, snapping himself out of his own daze. He released her from his grip and turned to face her. She dropped her arms and smiled sheepishly at him. "Sorry, I forgot that you don't. . ."
"You need to go." her brown eyes doubled in size. A wrinkle formed in the middle of her forehead. "What? I thought that you wanted to go another. . ."
"I have places to be tonight," Xavier cut her off again, his patience wearing thin. He reached for his cigarette and threw it to the floor. He slid his phone into his back pocket and clenched his jaw. She didn't move from her spot. She was looking up at him, her eyes giving way to her distraught. "What? Listen, Jessica I need to go so whatever shit you wanna talk about can we do it in the car?"
"I need to tell you something."
Xavier rolled his eyes and walked around her. He opened his door and placed the key in the ignition. The car roared to life. She still didn't move from her position. It was infuriating Xavier who was now staring at her back. Why the fuck is she just standing there? He swiped his hand across his mouth.
"Okay, cool, you can tell me in the car so get your ass in it."
"Xavier. . ." her voice was just above a whisper, but Xavier heard it and frowned. "Jessica. . ." he mimicked, yet his words were coated with malevolence.
Jessica turned to face him and wrapped her arms around her waist. She had unshed tears pooling in her eyes. Xavier did his best to suppress the groan that was at the tip of his tongue. He hated when people cried.
"I'm pregnant," that was all it took for the tears to fall. Xavier's face fell as his eyes widened in disbelief. Jessica winced, nodding her head at his silent question. "And you're the father."
