Chapter Nine
I don't own the pictures...they belong to their creators.
In the morning, Lincoln and a couple of his potential mates woke up feeling better like they managed to share their experiences with each other. The boys were all confident that Lincoln was the best mate for all of them and possibly more out there. But they can talk about it more once Lincoln finishes talking with Percy and possibly Jaune if he was out and about.
"Lincoln, Are you ready to meet Percy?" Dick said. Lincoln nodded as Dick led him to a beautiful lake that was untouched by any humans.
"Wow. I wish all lakes can look like this." He said just as Dick called out for his friend. For a few minutes, nothing happened, but then Percy poked his head out of the water.
"Dick. Why is he here?" He asked with a non trusting tone.
"I wanted him to speak with you so you can go back to the old Percy." Dick said.
"Listen..." Percy started to say, but stopped once Dick stopped him.
"This has gone long enough. I know that they hurt you, but you can't keep bottling up your feelings like this." Dick said before Lincoln started to speak.
"Listen Percy. Dick is just worried about you. I know what it feels like to bottle up your emotions and it only causes pain. Talk to me and you'll feel better." Lincoln said before Percy sighed and sat near the edge of the lake. As he did so, he signaled Lincoln to do the same.
"Fine. I was once a hero of the Olympian gods with lots of friends and a lovely girlfriend. When a traitor showed up and tricked everyone into thinking that I betrayed them. They didn't let me speak and my father cursed me to my true form and cast me down to the mortal realm." Percy said.
"That must suck." Lincoln said.
"It really does. All of them believing that I was a traitor without any proof. It just makes me so angry and upset." Percy said.
"I know. My life wasn't exactly the same, but I also went through circumstances that made me feel the same as you. Look..I know that it hurts, but sometimes it feels better to talk to someone about what happened. And about your family and friends..forget them. They choose to believe the words of that traitor and will have to suffer the consequences of their own design. You shouldn't let them destroy your new life and should just focus on finding people who truly care and love you." Lincoln said.
"Thanks and do you think that the others will let me join?" Percy said.
"If they deem you worthy of it, but I feel like they will let you be a potential fellow mate."Lincoln said. As the trio continued talking, they (excluding Dick) had no idea that they were being watched by a boy in woods.
"Are you going to come out Jaune?" Dick said confusing the other two before Jaune walked out of the woods towards them.
"So you're the white haired boy who's turning several heads." Jaune said making Lincoln blush.
"Yeah. That's me. And you're Jaune?" Lincoln said.
"Yup and I watched you speak to Percy." Jaune said.
"Was that a bad thing?" Lincoln asked.
"No. He held onto his emotions for too long and it needed to come out. Like I need people to talk to about my experience before coming here." Jaune said.
"Go ahead. We're all listening." Lincoln said.
"I wasn't born in this realm. I was born in Remnant where people trained to be huntsman and huntresses. I lived in a family that was full of 7 sisters and was denied training to be one. I was devastated so I ran away and got fake transcripts." Jaune began.
"While that was wrong..I can see why you did it. Your family never gave you a chance and pushed you off to the side." Lincoln said.
"You're the first one to agree with me on that. My friends betrayed me for it since I saved one of my bullies from a creature who could tear him limb by limb. My friends became my tormentors and the girl that I was about to ask out started dating my bully." Jaune said.
"Who chooses papers over a friendship?" Percy asked.
"My old friends apparently. My situation got worse when my father decided to disown me from the family. I couldn't take it anymore and tried to take my own life...until one of the gods spoke to me and asked if I wanted to start over here. With the answer already being obvious." Jaune said.
"Jaune. Like I said before what you did was wrong, but your father's and old friend's reactions to it are worse. Transcripts shouldn't define who you are and aren't the most important in the world. And your father shouldn't disown you for it since he didn't even bother to give you a chance to prove yourself." Lincoln said.
"Thanks. Is there room for one more?" Jaune said.
"There's lots of room. Now come on...we should really head back and talk more about this." Dick said as he helped Percy get out of the pool and dry his tail. As the four started to walk...we look back to the Loud family who was eating their breakfast.
"Girls. We have to talk." Rita said.
"About?" Lynn Junior said with her eyebrow raised. Lucy tried to talk to her about what happened, but she was too stubborn to even talk about her feelings. Feelings were for the weak and talking about them is out of the table..Lynn kept telling her little sister. Eventually Lucy just gave up and went to talk to Lisa which left Lynn alone with her thoughts.
"Everything. Starting with your behavior." Rita said which caused the girls to look at each other and wonder:
How much was this conversation going to effect them?
