Chapter Five
I don't own the picture used...it belongs to their creator.
Lincoln looked shocked at what he just told, he wasn't human at all. He was a monster. Normally this would've caused him to freak out, but his mind just had too many questions.
Did his parents know what he was?
Did his sisters know?
And so many more that he hardly noticed that Izuku was trying to talk to him before he felt someone bash his head into the ground and he stared back at the boy.
"Sorry about that. You weren't responding to me so..." Izuku started to say until Lincoln cut him off.
"Don't apologize. I just have so many questions running through my head about...being a monster." Lincoln said.
"It happens to everyone in the village. You think that you're completely human until you figure out or someone tells you that you're not." Izuku said.
"Wait a minute....Village?" Lincoln said.
"I never mentioned it did I? You see, I live in a village where people like us can live in peace without any humans finding us." Izuku said.
"Do many of them have grudges against humans?" Lincoln said.
"Unfortunately. Humans are greedy and can often try to tell others about our location. So some of them resort to killing them if they try to get rich and threaten our home." Izuku said.
"Then I'm glad that I got rid of that tracking chip that my sister placed on me when I was sleeping." Lincoln said imagining his sisters trying to find him and bring him back. They were all greedy for money and would gladly tell others about the animals and wildlife here just to get lots of money.
"The tracking chip?" Izuku said.
"It's not important anymore. What I want to know is if my parents knew that I wasn't human." Lincoln said.
"Probably not. Monsters can sometimes impregnate human women without their knowledge. So maybe your mother ran into one and they tricked her into thinking that he was her husband." Izuku said.
"Okay. So what happens now?" Lincoln said.
"I take you to the village where we can determine what kind of monster you are. Then we'll set you up with a house where you can start to get settled. After that, you can live normally and find people who want to spend the rest of your life with you." Izuku said.
"Wait...I don't have to pick only one? I can pick several?" Lincoln said.
"We don't see any problems with you picking more than one person to love. Just make sure that you treat them good." Izuku said. Lincoln nodded and slowly followed Izuku to the village. At the same time, Ronnie Anne was in her room staring at the last letter that Lincoln gave her. It thanked her for playing along with the others and still being his friend despite everything that happened.
"I hope you're happy wherever you are Lincoln." Ronnie Anne said just as her brother and mother walked in.
"What is that Ronalda?" Maria asked.
"The letter that Lincoln left for me before he ran away. It should explain why I acted like I did." Ronnie Anne said as her mother slowly read it along with Bobby.
"So you never believed any of those rumors?" Bobby said.
"No. I knew who Lincoln truly was and I was about to confront the others, but..." Ronnie Anne said until her mother interrupted her.
"He asked you not to do it. He didn't want you to be an outcast so he asked you to pretend to believe them." Maria said.
"Yes. He knew what would've happened to me if I stood by his side so we exchanged letters so we can continue our friendship in secret." Ronnie Anne said.
"That's very sweet of you Ronalda." Maria said.
"I know. I just wish that I could smack some sense into the others before this happened." Ronnie Anne said before her mother spoke again.
"Don't beat yourself up. You did what your friend asked you to. Besides it's not your fault that they believed something without using their brains." Maria said.
"Yeah." Bobby said.
"Thinking about your relationship with Lori." Ronnie Anne said making Bobby nod.
"Look. She messed up, but before you make any decisions think back on how your relationship was and see if it's still good to keep it." Ronnie Anne said.
"She's right Ronaldo. But if you want us to place some input with your relationship...we'll gladly tell you what we think." Maria said as Bobby started to head out of the room with Maria soon following. Meanwhile, Izuku started to laugh at Lincoln's face when he finally saw the village.
"This place is..." Lincoln said before Izuku interrupted.
"Amazing right?" Izuku said.
"Yeah. It seems so different than Royal Woods." Lincoln said.
"That's because it is. Anyone could get into the village if they get taken here by one of the many residents that live here." Izuku said.
"Oh. Anyway...Where do we need to go to find out what type of monster I am?" Izuku said.
"I'll show you and after that...I can introduce you to the other people who live here." Izuku said as the duo went inside. As they did, they had no idea that Lincoln would charm some of the other residents inside and what kind of monster Lincoln truly is.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
