(I was going to wait until next week to post this, but I decided not too! Anyway, I got into Ninjago when I was like ten years old and now I am nineteen (Wow, time flies!) and I want Cole to have a season too. However, I feel like this episode about his fight with Jay really speaks about his character. I am pretty Cole didn't want to get out of the Tournament so soon, but he needed to show he was a great best friend to Jay. This was a perfect way to show it. Ok, enough of my rambling. Enjoy the chapter!) 

(Cora's POV)

                 The rest of the fighters moved away from us as we approached the bracket. We all let out a gasp when we saw what the commotion was about.

"No. He can't do this" Cole said in shock.

Seliel turned away from us as Lloyd and I shared a look of concern, "He already did"

"We gotta fight each other" Cole said in defeat.

"Ah, but why does it say I have to fight Cole?" Jay asked nervously, "It didn't say that before I'm not ready to fight. It was supposed to be my day off"

"I tried to warn you, but you never listen" Cole pointed out annoyed, "Talk? Yes. Listen? Not so much"

Clouse approached us as he asked with that dumb smirk on his face, "Is here a problem, ninja?"

"You cheated!" I exclaimed as Aya held me back, "You changed the bracket!"

He let out an "oopsie" and left us! This can't be happening! We're supposed to be friends! We can't be divided more! I glanced to the side to see Seliel looking away. Sensei Garmadon approached us.

"What do we do? They can't fight each other" Lloyd asked his father, "We came here to become whole, not fall further apart"

"You can't undo what's been done" his father said seriously, "My only advise is to be at peace with it"

"Peace? One of us has to lose!" Jay shouted in a panic, "Oh, my gosh, it's totally gonna be me! He's got super strength and what do I have? Quick, tell me! What do I have?!"

"Don't listen to my dad" Lloyd said, "If we find our friends then none of us have to battle. Your fight isn't until tonight, so we still have time to figure out what Chen's up to and stop this"

Kai suddenly got an idea as he suggested, "I think I know just the person who can help, and I think he already knows"

He ran towards the Masters of Mind and Speed. I followed after him as Aya went to talk to Seliel, and Lloyd tried to calm Jay and Cole down.

"Neuro!" Kai shouted as we approached him.

The Master of Mind turned around to see us. He raised his eyebrow at us.

"We need your help. Can you meet us outside?" Kai asked politely.

Neuro pondered on this as I shouted, "It's to help Seliel with confessing her feelings to throw the match!"

Kai starred at me surprised while Neuro tilted his head to the side.

"Alright. I'll meet you outside soon" he said he motioned us to follow him.

I did it! Sort of... Kai motioned the rest of our friends to follow us and saw him sitting on a rock with his hands on his head.

Lloyd stepped up and said, "We need your help, Neuro"

"Cora lied to me about meeting you to talk about Seliel. You think I can get close to Chen to read his mind, so can find your friends and not have to fight" Neuro answered quickly as I blushed a bit.

Aya glared at me for lying as Seliel sighed.

"Don't forget" Kai said before being interrupted.

"You still need to know what Chen's up to because he's hiding something" Neuro said seriously.

"That's really impressive, Nerdo" Jay said impressed.

Neuro stood up, faced us, and said annoyed, "It's Neuro, Master of the Mind. And Cole thinks Jay won't last long in a fight"

What is he doing?! That wasn't the plan!

"Pfft! You think that?!" Jay shouted as he glared at the black ninja.

"You just said it yourself" Cole retorted.

"But you didn't have to believe it" Jay said defeatedly.

"Wait a minute! We can't be fighting each other!" I shouted as I stood between them.

Neuro cleared his throat as he said, "Don't be offended, Cole. Jay here thinks you're the least valuable ninja and a girl stealer"

"You don't say..." Cole said as he glared at Jay.

Seliel quickly grab my shoulder and used her element. As Cole swung his elbow at Jay, his entire arm went through me! Seliel pulled me away from their fight and released her elemental power over me.

Aya sighed as she commented, "If they don't make up, then they will both lose and win nothing. What's the lesson for you, Cora? Forgive but not forget"

I was surprised by this lesson. Aya and Seliel tried to pull Cole and Jay away from each other while Kai just laughed at them.

"We wanted you to help, Neuro. Not make things worse" Lloyd said as he stood in front of his friends fighting.

"But why would I help? You're competition" he said seriously, "The sooner you're out, the better for me.

"But we are not competition!" I said defensively as I stood next to Lloyd.

"If you want what's best for you, just look into my head, and you'll see what this tournament is all about" Lloyd said seriously as Neuro read his mind and gasped, "It's only a matter of time before Chen steals your power too. So are you in?"

"Fine" Neuro said as Lloyd and me high fived.

"Wait a minute, how do we know we can trust you to help us?" Aya pointed out seriously as she held Jay in the air using her dark element to hold him.

I snapped my fingers as I said, "I can go with him!" I said confidently.

"Are you sure? This could be really dangerous" Lloyd advised seriously.

"I can handle it. I'll stick with Neuro until we can get close to Clouse" I said determinedly, "I'll make sure we get the info we need!"

As Lloyd was about to protest, Aya reassured, "She can handle herself just fine. Trust her"

He turned to my friend and nodded, "Ok, but be careful. We can't lose anyone"

"On it!" I said as I walked to Neuro and extended my hand, "I am Cora. The Elemental Master of Dark Energy"

"Alright, Cora. I am Neuro, Master of the Mind. Not the first one you've meet" Neuro said as he grinned.

I jumped up when I realized he read my mind and thought about Gracia. He just smiled as he walked away. I ran after him. Hopefully, we can stop the fight before it happens.

(Zane's POV)

I was still chained to the wall and struggled to break out. There has to be a way out of here.

"Zane, you're built differently. You have to search deep within yourself" Pixal called out to me.

I began to look through my memory bank and got an idea. I looked my wrist to make a silver shuriken appear from my wrist and spun it quickly. The shuriken was cutting through the chains!

"Yes, that's it!" Pixal encouraged strongly, "You're remembering!"

However, I could hear two guards talking about a fight between Jay and Cole... Those are my brothers! They heard me! I quickly turned my wrist and stopped cutting the chains. I then pretended I was unconcious.

"Heh, guess I was just hearing things. Come on, let's go!" the guard said as he departed.

I opened my eyes once they were not here.

"It's not safe" Pixal advised, "I suggest your break-out when everyone's at the big fight"

What is she talking about? We will both get out of here.

"You mean, we must break out" I said seriously.

"Yes. Of course" she said hesitantly.

What is she so hesitant on the matter of our escape? We are both going to get out of here. That is a simple fact.

(Neuro's POV)

The little girl was determined. She won't leave my side until I pull this off. Those ninjas are really determined to stop this fight.

"So, where do you think Chen could be?" Cora asked curiously.

"Be quiet, so I can hear their thoughts" I snapped at her and placed my hands on my head.

Cora was silence and waited for me. I read the minds of the Kabuki dancers who were leaving the dining room. One of them mentioned Chen was coming to the Kabuki dressing room to check on them for tonight's fight. Perfect.

"Alright follow me" I said quietly and followed the dancers to their dressing room.

"Is this allowed?" she whispered to me.

"Do you want to find your friends?" I asked her seriously.

She remained quiet as we made our way to dressing room. I opened the doors quietly and walked to the dressing curtains. Cora tried to be quiet when she followed me, but she did trip up a bit. I caught her before she could fall to the ground. The dancers were preparing their make up and outfits for tonight. Chen was laughing as the Kabuki were helping him into his outfit.

"Come on and be quiet" I said as I turned to her.

She nodded her head as I walked away from the dressing curtain. However, I could hear a dark mind coming towards us. I pushed Cora into the dressing curtain and froze in place.

"This floor is restricted" Clouse said as he appeared form the side.

I heard Cora let out a gasp as I remained calm, "Clouse. I was just leaving!"

He interjected, "I saw you speaking with the ninja. It'd be a shame if the other fighters were to find out you were helping them"

"Of course not!" I said as I placed my hand on my head to influence his mind, "I'm the Master of the Mind, I'm smarter than that"

I tried to influence him to leave the dressing room and head to the arena. Clouse just started at me as he left the room. Cora let out a breath and went to me. We both left the dressing room in a hurry.

"Did you find anything?" she asked me as we made our way to the arena.

"I did. If I am right about what I saw, I think it might help you and your friends" I said as we ran towards the arena.

(Seliel's POV)

Aya and Sensei Garmadon went up to the stands while I went with Lloyd and Kai. The two of them were trying to talk to Jay and Cole about their grudges and the upcoming fight. Aya's words were beating me like a hammer. I need to tell Cole how I feel. Chen had taken his seat on the throne while I walked up to Lloyd.

"How is he?" I asked him concerned.

"He's a bit mad..." Lloyd said as he turned to the Master of Earth.

Cole swiftly kicked the punching bag with Jay's face on it. I walked to the bars of his cell and clutched it. Alright, time to suck in your pride and stop being stupid about this. This is stupid.

"Cole" I called out to him loudly.

He swiftly punched the bag hard. I heard it bang against the wall. I wouldn't be surprised if he dent the wall. He turned to me and just glared.

"What?" he asked angrily.

Alright, I deserve this. I did try to make him jealous, but to be fair, he shouldn't have done that to Jay and Nya!

"I'm sorry" I admitted as I lowered my head in shame.

"For what?" Cole asked seriously.

I sighed as I faced him and said, "For trying to make you jealous and using Jay. I shouldn't have done that. I just wanted to make you see me"

"Well, congrats. You've hurt my relationship with my best friend even more and made me feel even worse" he snapped and turned away from me.

I flinched at his words. He wasn't wrong though... I just made things even worse. I turned my head to see Neuro and Cora running to Kai. Well, it is now or never.

"Cole" I spoke seriously as I looked at his back, "I want you to know that my feelings for you has not changed at all. If anything, it's grown. Good luck and do your best"

I ran over to Kai, Jay, Cora, and Neuro to hear the news.

"You're cutting it close" Kai said to the two of them.

"Well! Sorry! We had to get away!" Cora said as she sat down, exhausted.

"So, did you see into his head?" Kai asked Neuro.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't get past Clouse" Neuro said sadly.

"Good! Then we can finally put our feud to rest, gladiator style!" Jay stated.

"But I did see something" Neuro said with a smile, "For a brief moment, I saw inside Clouse's mind. The powers he's collecting, they are for a spell"

"A spell for what?" Cora asked as she looked up at them.

"I don't know. But it's in his spell book on page 149" Neuro informed us, "I'm sorry it's not enough to stop the fight. I wish we could've done more, but Clouse stopped us"

"That's ok, you've done what you could" Kai said as I turned around and shook my head at Lloyd.

Lloyd turned to face Cole as he said seriously, "You don't have to say it. It was inevitable we were gonna have to face each other. May as well be Jay. This fight's been a long time coming, and I need to fix this mess. This is the best way to do that"

"Well, I'm not at peace with this, but that doesn't mean you still can't find peace with each other" Lloyd said, "We don't have control when we fight, but we do have control of how we fight. Just remember, Jay's not your enemy, Chen is"

"Wu once said the best way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend" Cole said to his friend, "But how are you supposed to defeat your friend and help another friend?"

The fanfare played. Kai, Neuro and Lloyd left. I was a bit reluctant to leave Cole, but Cora took my hand and pulled me away.

"Come on, we just have to be there for them now" she said sadly as we joined the others.

"You tried your best, the rest is up to them" Sensei Garmadon said as he gestured to the arena.

"I hope they can see that too" Lloyd added in defeat.

"Let the tournament continue!" Chen shouted in delight, "Jay, Master of Lightning, versus Cole, Master of Earth!"

The two of them rushed towards each other as the Jade Blade rested on top of a pole. Jay was the first to attack by launching a powerful streaming of lightning at Cole! I let out a gasp as Cole jumped forward and slammed his hands on the ground to send a powerful row of rocks towards Jay. Jay backflipped away and landed on his feet.

"Ha, ha. That's all you've got? Least valuable ninja!" Jay taunted as he pointed at Cole.

"Eat dirt, Blue-belle!" Cole shouted angrily as he threw a few rocks at him!

Jay missed and tossed a few bolts of lightning at him! This just can't be right!

"Oh, Clouse go get me popcorn!" Chen shouted in delight, "This is turning out better than I anticipated!"

"Alright everyone! Place your bets! Who do you think is going to win?!" Masamune shouted in delight, "Do you think Jay will win? Or, Cole?!"

The Masters of Poison, Speed, and Shadow went to him and placed their bets on who would win. I am just tempted to punch him right in the gut, but Aya placed her hand on my shoulder. I stopped and starred at her.

"You did what you could. Now we just have to wait for them to make peace with this. If you start another fight, it will only make things worse for everyone" Aya said seriously.

I know she's right, but I just don't like staying in one place and watching this all go down! There has to be something we can do! I don't like sitting around!

(Zane's POV)

Once the fight broke out, I freed myself from the chains and went to the bars to free Pixal.

"Hurry, Zane" Pixal urged, "Before they come back"

I cut through the bars and climb through the hole. I landed in the other room and saw this room filled with junk and other mechanical parts as well as a computer. My eyes then fell on her arm.

"Pixal" I said in disbelief, "You're..."

"Scrapped" she finished sadly, "I know, but I couldn't tell you. Not when you needed to get out of here. Sadly, this is where my journey ends, but not for you. Zane, you must go alone. Find your friends. Stop Chen. I know you have it in you and don't worry about me"

I held her hand and then touched the computer screen. I don't want to leave her like this. This isn't right.

"I will always be a part of you" she said with hope in her voice.

I glanced around the computer monitors and saw a purple neural drive injected into a compactor. That's hers. That's it!

"You're right!" I said in delight, "You will always be a part of me!"

"Zane, what are you?" she asked surprised.

I then took the neural drive and inserted it into the back of my head.

"Zane, you've taken my neural drive and inputted into your processor! You're ingenious!" she exclaimed in delight.

"Not ingenious! Upgraded! I'm sure there will be other surprises about me we'll find out together, but until then, let's both get out ot-" I said in delight until she cut me off.

"Zane, behind you! Initiate evasive-" she tried to warn me.

I turned around and saw Clouse holding an electric rod. I quickly sent out a signal for someone to find us. We are going to help. The rod short circuited me! I felt myself drain from my energy... So close...

(Cole's POV)

Jay and I were locked in intense combat. I cast my rocks towards Jay who countered it with his stupid lightning. I have to admit, he's gotten pretty strong! He was able to push me back!

"Strong than you thought, eh?" Jay shouted angrily. "That's your betrayal flowing through my veins, girl stealer!"

"I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet when you're out of the tournament!" I shouted back at him.

I then stood my ground and threw my rocks at him. I knocked him back! Ha! Take that! Wait a minute, I just hurt my best friend... I looked up to see my friends shocked. Seliel was shaking... This isn't right...

"What are we doing?" I shouted to my best friend, "I don't want you out. You're not my enemy, Chen is!"

I have to reason with him. I have to be the best friend right now.

"Oh, sure, lower my guard by pretending to be my friend, then swoop in to steal the prize! Then, have Seliel use me to make you feel better about yourself and me worse! Gah! Typical Cole maneuver!" he shouted as lightning sprung from his hands.

Oh, boy. I quickly summoned my element around my hands as I took a few steps back.

"I never meant to hurt you, I didn't mean for Seliel to treat us like that either, Jay" I said cautiously as I stood still, "IF I knew it would destroy out friendship, I'd take it all back! I would take everything I did to you, Nya, and Seliel all back!"

Please think Jay.

"Well, if we're being honest, I was upset about losing Nya, but I take blame for that. I wasn't a very good boyfriend to her and should've listened to her as well" Jay confessed sadly, "I was more upset about losing you as my best friend. We used to be good friends..."

Ok, this is good! Keep going Jay!

"The best, right?!" I said in relief and shouted for our friends to hear, "We should've been honest with each other, instead of bottling this all up!"

I looked up and nodded at Seliel. She stopped shaking and nodded her head at me in relief. Good, she's doing ok...

"Agreed. But how are we supposed to stop fighting?" Jay asked as my attention was dragged back to the fight, "We can't both win"

"Well, maybe we can draw it out till they call it a tie" I suggested, "Quick, attack me, but not hard"

Jay let an "oh" and ran towards me. We blocked and dodged each other's punches and kicks.

(Seliel's POV)

Man, Cole, you really are a nice guy. I felt myself relax as Aya and Cora cheered them on.

"Ah, what is this? Patty cake?" Chen said dissatisfied as he tossed the popcorn towards a guard and pressed a button, "I'm bored. Released the Condrai Crushers!"

Cole and Jay froze in place as the main gate opened to release four vehicles! That's it! I ran towards the throne and used my elemental power to phase my hand through the throne. I then felt a wire and pulled it! His throne began to malfunction and close the gate! Haha! Take that!

"Clouse! What's going on?!" Chen shouted as the throne began to spark!

Clouse looked around, but he didn't see me. Heh, hehe, being the Elemental Master of Ghost has its charm. I can phase through anything and vanish from anyone in site. I ran back to the others with a proud grin on my face. I saw Cole who grinned at me. He gave me a thumbs up as I nodded at him.

"What did you do?" Aya asked knowingly.

"I meddled again" I answered in delight.

(Cole's POV)

Jay and I stood back to back as we faced the four vehicles.

"I got your back!" I reassured my best friend.

"And I've got yours!" Jay shouted back.

"Ninja, go!" we both shouted and used spinjtzu to avoid the incoming vehicle.

One of them crashed into the wall! Alright!

"ah, they fight together!" Sensei Garmadon said in delight, "Good work, son"

"Yeah, I do listen to you every once in awhile" Lloyd said in a matter of fact tone.

"Not as often as you should" Cora muttered as Kai laughed at the comment.

I saw one of the vehicles coming towards us, so I decided to come to it! I jumped in the air, slammed my fists on the ground and created a ramp made of rocks! The vehicle flew over my head, so I could grab the tail. I swung it around and slammed it against another vehicle and into the wall! Super strength is the best! One more to go! One of the drivers drove towards Jay, but Jay jumped up and landed behind the driver. He then electrocuted the driver until he stopped! Nice one! We both fist bump as the crowd cheered.

"Enough!" Chen shouted angrily and stood up from Clouse's hands, "I know what you are trying to do! If neither of you will win, then both of you will lose!"

Chen then slammed his fists on the ground to have another panel appear to his side. He pressed a lot of the buttons to make the floor underneath us fall! Jay and I stepped away as we looked around to find a way out of this. We jumped around and tried to avoid falling through the ground. Chen wasn't stopping! One of us has to get the Jade Blade!

I turned to Jay and shouted, "We can't both lose! Chen's right, there can only be one!"

"And it should be you" Jay admitted as he turned to me, "You and I know I'm lucky to have even made it this far. You take the Jade Blade!"

Alright, then I'll take it. I ran towards the pole and pulled the blade out. Wait a minute, I can't do this... If I'm going to show who I really am, now is the time to show it. I threw the blade towards Jay. He caught it as he looked at me in disbelief.

"Winner!" Chen shouted in delight and turned to me, "Loser! Master of Lightning moves on"

I hopped down from the pole and walked to Jay, "She's yours, Jay. I should've bowed out long ago. I was too stupid to realize that someone else cared about like Nya did with you. Win this thing!"

I then faced Seliel and gave her a warm smile. Chen then pressed a button and I fell through the floor.

(Cora's POV)

"Ah. About time" Chen said annoyed.

Wow... Cole's a really great friend to have... He did all that for Jay, Nya, and Seliel. That's awesome.

"Cole may be gone, but he did not lose" Sensei Garmadon said, "Let what he did here today be a lesson for us all. Know thine enemy, but more importantly know thy friend. He fought like a true ninja"

"Yep! Now, we need to do our best and win this thing!" I shouted in an encouraging tone.

"Cora's right. We still have a chance to win this!" Lloyd added as he gave everyone a smile.

That's right. Cole might've been eliminated, but he gave us a chance to move on in the tournament and stop Chen.

(Nene's POV)

I feel like we've been driving around forever... Nya was looking through the driver's seat while Hayakawa was taking a nap. Gracia was sticking her head out of the hood of the car and looked around. There has got to be a better way to find them...

"Ow!" Gracia shouted.

"What is it?" I asked her concerned.

"Zane's bird just pecked my head!" she shouted as she fell down from the hood.

"Zane's bird?" Hayakawa asked as she awoke from her nap.

Nya looked at the falcon as it landed on top of the hood. Nya realized something and clicked a button as I looked over her shoulder. There was a signal coming from an island!

"Zane's beacon!" we said in shock.

"Coming from somewhere off the coast, but that's impossible" Nya exclaimed as she looked at the readings and called up the sensei, "Sensei Wu, come in? This is Nya, do you read? I think we might've found the ninja!"

Gracia let out a yell of delight as Hayakawa seemed relieved. I nodded my head as Nya and I looked forward. Alright, it is finally time for some action! We headed to the city and saw the falcon flying towards us. Hayakawa extended her arm for the bird to land. He squawked at us and then used his robotic wings to gesture to a noodle restaurant as the trucks departed.

"Let's watch it" I said as I looked at the building.

"Why?" Gracia asked as she titled her head.

"Something tells me that is not an ordinary noodle restaurant if the bird wanted us to be here" I reasoned as Nya parked the car in an alleyway.
