(Aya's POV)

                    The ship approached a giant red gate with golden edges.

"Look at that... Awesome" Kai exclaimed in disbelief.

It is quiet something. Cora gasped at the site of it. I wonder who this Master Chen really is. He lives in this kind of palace. He must believe he is some kind of king. How arrogant. At least the warlords in our world have some respect for leading our kingdoms.

"Let me see" Karlof said as he pushed Kai away.

"Do you mind?!" Kai exclaimed as the two of them stepped away from each other with their fists up.

I shook my head at them. Fighting doesn't always solve your problems, Kai. Please remember that or that will be your downfall. We then heard monks chanting and practicing their punches as the ship flowed towards the stone steps. Our group decided to head to the edge of the ship to dock at as the sailors dropped the plank.

"Welcome to Chen's Island" Clouse claimed as he waved his hand towards the palace, "The Tournament of Elements welcomes its brave fighters"

Clouse then turned to Sensei Garmadon as he exited the ship, "Master Chen will be pleased you've returned, Sensei Garmadon"

Sensei Garmadon's expression turned cold as he replied, "The pleasure is all mine, Clouse"

"I'm sure it is" Clouse said absentmindedly as he walked on ahead.

We exited the ship and followed Sensei Garmadon.

Jay poked his head behind Sensei Garmadon's shoulder, "Definitely feeling some tension between you two"

"Yeah, and how is it we're on an island I've never seen on any map?" Kai asked as he walked to the sensei's other shoulder.

"How does Chen know about Ransei?" Cora asked in a very low whisper as she walked up to Sensei Garmadon.

"And care to explain how the face to Ninjago's most popular noodle house is secretly assembling an underground fighting tournament?" Cole asked as he stood besides Cora.

Sensei Garmadon answered the questions as best he could about Chen and the rest of the fighters departed from the boat, "Master Chen used to be a friend. Now he's a traitor. During the Serpentine Wars, Chen turned against his own kind and sided with the treacherous snakes"

Lloyd spoke up as he stood besides Cora surprised, "The battle you and Uncle Wu fought together in? He was an enemy?"

We quietly followed the other elemental masters as we listened to Sensei Garmadon.

"He used deception to divide the Elemental Masters We barely defeated the Serpentine, and in a deal for his surrender, Chen was to never leave this island" Sensei Garmadon explained.

I felt a very odd presence behind us. I slowly turned my head to see the girl in orange walking behind us. There's something off about her... I can't quite figure it out yet.

"Little did we know, he'd begin to build his criminal empire from here" the sensei continued to explain.

Lloyd reassured, "He may have divided our ancestors, but he's not gonna divide us"

Masamune turned his head towards us and grinned. Cora looked away as I gave him a cold stare. He simply smiled and continued to follow the others. I wonder why he's here...

"Do you know him that well? Because he seems to be eyeing us a lot" Seliel pointed out.

"I've never meet him" Cora said nervously.

"I've only seen him in meetings. He's a bit cocky and determined" I answered them, "But I am not sure of his motives"

The three of us walked ahead of the five men as Sensei Garmadon finished explaining what he could.

"Uh, ladies first!" Kai exclaimed as he pushed himself against his friends and sensei to let the girl in orange walk pass them.

She gave him a small smile as she walked pass them.

"Fire will melt her icy heart. Just wait" Kai said in a smooth manner.

I heard the sensei sigh at his behavior. I have to commend Kai though. He's being a fair gentleman to a lady he just met. That was very proper of him. As she walked pass me, she quickly turned her head away from me. Hm, is she shy? I'll have to be aware of this. We then approached the steps to stand in front of a blue gate with golden side spheres on it.

"This is a big island. Zane and your partner's little brother could be anywhere. Keep an eye out" Cole said seriously.

I was very grateful to have his support with me. I didn't think he would even support me after what happened to Zane. Cole must have hope to find his brother. Similar to my hope in finding Lar. The doors suddenly opened as some of the monks took our bags away from us. We walked through a grand green hallway to hear the monks chanting and banging their sticks on the drums.

"So, this is the house that noodles built" Jay joked to lighten the mood in the situation, "Ha! Always wanted to go to a red-carpet event!"

Cora let out a laugh as Sensei Garmadon said "Chen lives like a King. Here, he's totally self-sufficient. The only way on or off this island is with his permission, which you have to earn"

It appears that I am right about Chen.

Lloyd caught up to his father's side and said, "You never told me about this place. How do you know so much about this island?"

"Because before Chen was my enemy, he was my Sensei" Sensei Garmadon said as he pulled his shirt back to revel a purple snake tattoo.

This is getting more intense with each passing comment. We soon found ourselves sitting in a circle in a circular room with many floors. In the center of the room was a golden dragon. I sat between Cole and Griffen while Seliel sat between Cole and Cora. Cora was next to Lloyd. Besides Kai was Masamune. Tadakatsu was sitting next to a girl with green hair. The girl in orange was sitting next to the man who held a staff to make a vine grow. She still won't face me.

"You never told me you had a Sensei" Lloyd said in a whisper so only we could hear him.

"When I was your age, I sought a darker means of guidance" his father explained, "He taught me to win at all costs, no matter who I hurt. It wasn't until you saved me that I saw the light"

Lloyd and Cora both smiled at that compliment. I couldn't help but smile as well.

"Uh, apparently he also never taught you to have a sense of humor. Lighten up, we're in an underground fight club. This is supposed to be fun!" Jay reassured them as he rose from his seating position.

Sigh, he reminds me of Gracia. However, Gracia is a bit younger than him and less mature to an extent. I expect Jay to mature a bit, but it is nice to have a sense of humor in dire situations like these.

"That is until you lose" Seliel pointed out with a smirk on her face.

"She got you good!" Cole complimented Seliel.

Jay sighed as he sat down with his arms crossed. We then heard the gong bang loudly and turned our attention forward as music started to play.

Clouse stepped out as he presented, "All rise for Master Chen"

As if this couldn't be stranger, we all saw a throne descend from the ceiling. There was a man wearing a skull hat with a red rob sitting in the chair in delight. He's even wearing make-up...

"Welcome to the Tournament of Elements! Now everyone can all die!" he said in a joyful tone.

I prepared to summon my powers to protect Cora and my friends, but he pointed his hand to the doors which closed as everyone gasped.

"Direct your attention to me! Haha!" he laughed manically.

"I forgot to mention he has a penchant for theatrics" Sensei Garmadon whispered to us.

Master Chen got off his thrown and walked over to us, "Hee, hee, hee! Never before have so many Elemental Fighters been under one roof!"

He pointed out a few Elemental Masters, "I see Master of Fire, Earth, Shadow, Dark, Speed, and even a prophesied Green Savior! And a former pupil has returned"

Master Chen turned to Sensei Garmadon.

Then, Master Chen gestured to the golden gong with the symbol of a snake.

"This symbol before you is for the Anacondrai, fiercest Serpentine warrior to ever roam this land. It's creed: "Only one can remain."" Master Chen said as the gong opened up to revel a bracket.

I noticed the bracket and gasped a bit. It looks like Cora is going against Masamune. However, I wasn't facing anyone.

"Master Chen, who will I be facing?" I asked seriously.

"Oh! You're the lucky one! You don't have to fight anyone one on one for a while!" Master Chen said as he clapped his hands in delight.

Everyone else was in their own bracket though. I wonder how long that will last. I don't exactly believe he will host an honest fight here.

"Good, looks like we're each in our own bracket. We won't have to face each other for a while" Kai said with a determined smile.

"Better find Zane before that happens" Lloyd whispered to us.

"Behold a Jade Blade!" Master Chen gestured to Clouse who took the blade out of a crate and showed it to us, "Here, it represents life. Obtain it, move on. Allow your opponent to take it, loser! The rules are simple. Every match will be different. No two fights will be the same. Your powers will keep you in the tournament. Use it or lose it"

Master Chen wondered around the room excitedly as he looked at us eagerly.

"Hm. What does Karlof win?" Karlof asked seriously.

"Win and stay on the island. Win it all, and you'll receive fortunes beyond your wildest dreams, and lifetime supply of Master Chen noodles!" he said as he waved his hands around excitedly, "But no one is here because of noodle. You want the glory of being the greatest fighter in all of Ninjago!"

Everyone was cheering at his speech. I glanced at Masamune who cheered at the speech. Tadakatsu nodded his head in approval. I am curious about the two of them got here... I also don't believe Master Chen is just referring to Ninjago. He must know something about Ransei.

"And what happens if they lose?" Sensei Garmadon asked.

"Lose? Who here likes to lose?" Master Chen said as he pointed at his former pupil, and everyone burst into laughter, "Now please, enjoy my island. It's a super fun happy place! Ha, ha, ha! Fun time on me!"

Clouse said professionally, "You'll now each be shown to your rooms"

He clapped his hands as the doors opened to revel Kabuki. I didn't expect this. Master Chen does know his culture.

"Ah, just what this place needs" Jay said nervously, "Creepy clowns"

I rolled my eyes at the blue one. He can be such an uneducated fool.

"Not clowns. Kabuki, Chen's jesters" Sensei Garmadon informed.

"As well as beautiful dancers who tell stories" I added.

I don't care if that information is not relevant to the current situation, it needs to be known. The Kabuki each walked towards the fighters and took our wrists. They then pulled us after them.

"Yeah, well, whatever they are, I don't like 'em" Lloyd said as he glanced at his father nervously.

"So much for staying together..." Cole murmured as the Kabuki separated us by taking us to different rooms.

"Always be ready" Sensei Garmadon advised us, "Never lose focus"

I glanced towards the Sensei as Kai exclaimed "What did he say?"

"I don't know. Something about, uh, mucus?" Jay suggested.

"I thought he said locus?" Cora offered.

I shown to my room as I glanced across the third floor. I saw Seliel across from me, but Cora was on the second floor and next to Cole. I hope Cole can watch over her for me.

(3rd's POV)

"Your fire suite, Master Kai" the Kabuki said as she opened the door and showed Kai to his room.

"Are you kidding me? Ha!" Kai exclaimed in delight as he ran to his room, "Fire!"

He saw his symbol above his bed. The room was themed around fire and the color red.

"Whoa. So handsome" Kai complimented as he saw a painting of himself hung on a wall.

He then walked to the sliding doors and breathed it in.

"I could get used to this" Kai said as he opened it to see a great view of the jungle.

He walked onto the balcony as Skylor walked onto her balcony. Kai turned to his head to the red-haired girl as he felt his heart race a bit. He was smitten by her beauty as she turned her head towards him with a small smile on her face.

"Ah. Looks like we're neighbors" Kai said smoothly as he lit his hand on fire, "I'm Kai. Master of Fire"

The red-haired girl just smirked as she replied coolly, "Skylor, Master of, wouldn't you like to know?"

Kai was surprised and then saw his hand. He then realized how hot his hand was! He jumped up and down as he exclaimed how hot his hand was. Sklyor laughed a bit as she brought her hand to her mouth to try and hide her giggle.

"Your phantom suit, Master Seliel" a Kabuki presented as Seliel entered the room.

The Master of Ghost was impressed with her room. It matched her teal color and seemed very roomy to her. She gasped when she saw a work bench with a box of tools. She squealed in delight as she rushed to the bench and then saw her belongings under the desk. She noticed she even had vials of different chemicals!

"A girl can get used to this!" she said in delight as she wandered around her room.

She felt her soft bed and then looked at her nightstand. She then looked at her other stand, but there was something else. She checked the stand and gasped in realization when she found it to be a mini fridge filled with her favorite drinks and ice cream!

"Thank you!" she said as she took one drink and tossed it around in the air.

She caught it, opened it, and drank it in one gulp. She felt refreshed and delighted as she starred at her wonderful room.

"Oh, yeah. A girl can get used to this" she said satisfied.

Jay was standing around in his blue and lightning themed room.

"Every device within your room has been configured to interact with own electrical signal" the Kabuki explained as she bowed and exited his room.

Jay looked at his hand and created a small spark. Just then, a giant tv rose from the ground as Jay shouted in delight. A small stand with a DV player and gaming console was there along with a single controller and a row of video games. Jay was laughing like a little child as he took the controller in his hands. He jumped back to his bed and began to play the game as he laughed in joy.

"Your dark suit, Master Aya" the Kabuki said as she bowed and left her.

Aya noticed her belongings were under a desk. She was surprised to find a music player with all of her favorite songs from Ransei. She also found a picture of herself with her family. Then, she also realized that her room was decorated to the color of light blue.

"How much does he really know about our world?" she asked herself as she noticed her room had a large area for her to practice her dancing.

She smiled as she took her slippers off and walked on the mat. She realized how soft the mat was and felt smooth to her feet. She then opened the closet to find a large assortment of different dresses and cloaks. She took one of the cloaks and felt the fabric. It was very similar to that of her clothes in Ransei.

Cole was grunting as he tossed and turned on his rock bed, "A stone bed? Come on"

The Master of Earth pushed his head against the lamp. The lamp shifted upward as Cole scratched his head and looked at the lamp. He heard something open as he turned his head to see the walls open up to revel shelves of food from Master Chen's Noodle House. Cole rushed towards the shelves of food in complete disbelief.

"Chen's Noodle House? Three Ingredient Sizzling Rice! Snow Pea Cuttle Fish!" Cole exclaimed as he reached his hand to grab chopsticks and a bowl of noodles, "Mu Shu Wu Shu!"

He quickly devoured the bowl of noodles in delight as he glanced to see a plate with chocolate cake on it. He cheered as he took the cake and cheered.

"Your room, Master Cora" the Kabuki said as she left Cora alone.

Cora was honestly surprised. Her room was purple. Just purple. She saw herself wearing a traditional outfit at a festival with her father... She smiled at the photo. Then, she saw another photo of herself with Aya, Hayakawa, Nene, and Gracia. The group had taken a photo after their victory against Da Ji. Cora picked up the photo from the desk and sat on her bed.

"Don't worry, we are going to come back and save you all" she reassured them and herself, "And I'll get even stronger!"

She then placed the photo on her bed and looked around her room. She saw her bag in front of a closet. She then opened the doors to the balcony and smiled when she opened it to see the sun shining down on her. She smiled at the sun as she felt herself warming up.

"I'll be strong enough to protect all of you one day" she said with determination.

Lloyd had tried on his new ninja gi and looked at himself in the mirror. He found his room decorated around his family's background and with color green and gold.

"Yeah, this is sweet. Heh, heh" he said as he looked at himself.

He then turned around to see a picture of him with Cole, Kai, Jay, and Zane together. They took that photo after he decided to wear the green ninja gi.

"Don't worry. We're gonna find you, pal" Lloyd said determinedly as he smiled at the photo.

Meanwhile, Clouse had thrown Sensei Garmadon out of the temple as he pointed out in a smug manner, "Since you weren't invited by Master Chen, I'm sorry to say there's no room for you"

Sensei Garmadon crossed his arms over his chest as he replied, "Fine, I'll just stand guard. I wouldn't want anything to happen to them. I know how you like to use dark magic"

Clouse smirked, "Now, why would I want to cheat the Ninja?"

He then closed the door as Master Chen's booming voice echoed throughout the island, "Fellow Fighters hidden around my island are enough Jade Blades for every participate expect for one. The one who returns to the Palace Arena empty- handed loses! The tournament begins now!"

Sensei Garmadon quickly ran around the gate and went to find another way back into the palace. Kai and Skylor overheard Master Chen's message. Aya rushed out of her room and spotted a serious Cora. However, Jay was resting in his hot tub in his room.

"Now!" Master Chen shouted loudly.

"Now?!" Jay said surprised as he sat up in his tub and the doors opened to his tub to reveal the Master of Nature.

"This room could use a breath of fresh air!" he said in a low voice and waved his staff at Jay, "Lighting, meet Nature"

Jay quickly jumped forward to grab a towel and tied it around his waist. Then, Jay rolled away from the growing vines and into a corner. Jay faced the Master of Chen and extended his hand to shot lightning at him! The Master of Nature was shocked and blasted away from Jay to find himself on the floor. Jay stepped out of his room, and they both saw the Jade Blade hidden in a light above them! The Master of Nature then pointed his staff at Jay to trap him in vines!

"May the best fighter win!" Chen laughed manically through the intercoms.

Lloyd and Seliel stepped out of their rooms and saw the Master of Light and Sound out of their rooms. Seliel glanced at Aya and Cora with a nod. Kai and Skylor looked up to see a Jade Blade stuck on the side of the roof.

"Is that-?" Skylor asked surprised.

"A Jade Blade!" Kai exclaimed as he smiled at her.

Lloyd and Seliel spotted a Jade Blade behind a few swords, but so did the Masters of Gravity, Sound, and Light! The two of them ran towards the blade, but the Master of Smoke tripped Lloyd! Seliel felt a strong gust of wind blowing behind her. She turned around to see Masamune with a smirk on his face.

"See ya!" he said as he clapped his hand to create a powerful gust of wind!

Seliel let out a scream as she was knocked off the third floor. Lloyd turned around to see Masamune running away and wondered where Seliel was. However, Lloyd moved away from the Master of Smoke's kick and tried to punch him. The Master of Smoke vanished in puff of smoke leaving Lloyd confused. The Master of Smoke then punched Lloyd across the face. Kai and Skylor looked at the Jade Blade in shock. Skylor made the first move and jumped to Kai's balcony.

"That one is mine!" she shouted as she pushed Kai away.

She easily jumped to the balcony above as Kai shouted at her. He jumped over to her side. The two of them began to shove each other off the balcony.

"Stop!" Skylor shouted at Kai as she tried to pull him away.

"You stop!" Kai shot back as he shoved her off the balcony.

Kai successfully pushed her off the balcony, but he grabs her right foot as she screamed in fear, "Help me!"

Kai felt bad for hurting such a nice lady. He used all his might to throw her up towards the blade. He looked at her in shock as she grinned at him. She effortlessly plucked the blade off the roof and grinned at Kai. Kai just looked at her speechless.

"Sorry, hot tamale" she said as held the blade.

"What does Karlof...?!" Karlof shouted in his metal form as Kai noticed him leaving.

Kai grinned as he followed the Master of Metal. Seliel groaned as she picked herself up as she looked around.

"Wow. I knew ghost were light, but that was ridiculous!" Masamune said with crackle.

Seliel was angry. She cracked her neck and put her fists up.

"I'll knock the wind out of you!" she shouted as she ran towards the samurai.

Aya and Cora looked over the edge and saw them fighting. Cora was ready to create her dragon to help Seliel, but Aya put her hands-on top of hers.

"Save your strength. You'll need it for later. It would also be best if no one knew you could do that" Aya advised as she noticed a Jade Blade behind a figurine of Master Chen.

She and Cora ran to it. Cora picked it up as Master Chen's voice echoed, "Oh! The Master of Dark Energy has obtained a Jade Blade! Return to the blade to my throne if you want to stay in the Tournament"

Aya and Cora were both surprised to hear Cora's elemental power called like this. However, they didn't have time to think about this, because Tadakatsu charged at them! Aya quickly stepped in front of Cora and waved her hand upward to create a dark wall between them.

"Hurry Cora! I'll handle Tadakatsu!" Aya said seriously as she took a few steps back

Cora just nodded her head as she looked over the balcony.

"Please don't do that" Aya asked politely as she saw what Cora was thinking.

She just grinned at her friend, and she jumped off the balcony as she said "This is quicker!"

Aya sighed at her behavior as she shouted, "When we get out of this, I will be teaching you proper manners!"

Tadakatsu drew his fists back and punched through the wall of darkness Aya created.

She flicked her hand towards Tadakatsu as she said, "Dark!"

A dark hand lunged from the ground and held Tadakatsu back.

Aya walked away from him as she reassured him, "Don't worry, it will wear off soon. Hopefully with enough time for you to find a Jade Blade"

She then ran back to her room to see if she could find a blade for herself. She walked to the balcony and saw a blade hidden behind some chairs. She smiled as she picked the blade up and walked to the throne. She then saw Tadakatsu struggling to break free from the dark hand she created. She noticed the fastest way down was to jump. She sighed as she jumped to the second floor. She waved her hands to create a platform to land on and take her to the throne. Cole let out a groan as he looked up to see Lloyd fighting the Master of Sound, and the Masters of Shadow, Gravity, Speed, Ash, and Lighting fighting over the Jade Blade.

"I can't fight on a full stomach" Cole groaned as he saw the fight and clutched his full stomach.

However, he noticed a Jade Blade on the second floor.

"Alright!" he said in relief as he slowly walked towards the ground floor.

As the Master of Speed was fighting the Master of Gravity and Light, he too noticed the Jade Blade. He elbowed them away and sped towards the blade.

He then swiped the blade from Cole as he said "Ha! Too slow, rocky boy!"

Griffen then ran away from Cole to put the blade on the throne.

"Hey!" Cole said annoyed.

Seliel tried to land a punch on Masamune, but he easily avoided her punches.

"You're too predictable!" he pointed out.

This only made Seliel angrier. She then got an idea. She charged at him, but Masamune easily moved away. Instead of hearing a loud thud, he didn't hear anything. He turned around and yelled out in annoyance when he didn't see her.

"What?!" he shouted.

Seliel quietly phased through the wall away from Masamune and noticed a Jade Blade taped to the ceiling above him! She then swiftly kicked him into the wall and caused the blade to fall from the ceiling! She caught and stood above him.

"How's that for predictable" she smirked and ran towards the throne.

Masamune just laid on the floor as he mumbled, "What is with the girls here? Too serious for my taste, but no one comes close to Lady Krystal"

He then ran towards the staircase to see a Jade Blade hiding under the rug. He grinned as he took the blade and ran pass Seliel.

"Race ya!" he smirked as he made his way to the throne.

Seliel growled at him as she picked up the pace to the throne room. Jay was being held down by the vines the Master of Nature created as he held the Jade Blade in front of Jay. The Master of Lighting let out a nervous laugh as he reached for the game controller. The TV screen turned on as the famous actor, Fritz Donnegan, appeared on the screen riding a spaceship.

He shouted the most famous line from the comic book, "Fear? Fear isn't a word where I come from!'

The Master of Nature was distracted by the TV as Jay rolled away. Jay then took the towel off and tightened it. He then used it to whip the Master of Nature's butt. He let out a scream and threw the blade in the air. Jay snatched the blade as he tied the towel around his waist.

The Master of Nature rubbed his butt as Jay cheered, "I love my room!"

Jay ran out of the room with the blade in hand. Lloyd surrounded by the Masters of Smoke, Gravity, and Sound. Lloyd punched Smoke and Gravity away from him and then pushed Sound back. He then ran towards the blade as Clouse was on the second floor.

He began to chant, "Seekar!"

The dragon design on the rug came to life and hugged Lloyd's left foot! Lloyd was shocked as he looked at his foot when he was so close to reaching the blade. The Master of Mind grinned at this as he made his way towards the blade. Sensei Garmadon noticed this and quickly tackled Clouse to the floor. This caused Clouse to lose focus on his spell. Lloyd swiftly pushed the Master of Mind away from him.

"Hurry, Lloyd, you must not lose" his father encouraged.

Lloyd punched the Master of Mind away as he then swiftly roundhouse kicked the Master of Sound away. Lloyd then took the Jade Blade and ran towards the throne. Cole was being held down by the Masters of Light, Shadow, and Nature. Using his super strength, Cole pushed them all off him in one throw!

"It's mine!" Cole shouted in delight as he walked towards the green blade on the ground until his stomach hurt, "Oh, stomach cramp!"

The Master of Earth held his stomach in pain as the Master of Light quickly took advantage of the situation. He disappeared from everyone's view and picked up the blade before Cole could. Cole was in shock as the blade began to move away.

"Hey, stop! Stupid blade!" Cole shouted as he tried to reach for the blade.

The Master of Light punched Cole away and ran off. Cole groaned as then looked at the red pillar besides him. He punched it to cause the dust to fall on the Master of Light.

"Ha, ha, ha! Ninja, go!" Cole shouted in delight as he quickly used spinjitzu to knock the Master of Light away and take the blade, but his stomach did not agree with him, "Ugh! Okay, that was too fast"

The Master of Gravity was running on the ceiling and took the blade from Cole!

"Hey, that's mine!" Cole complained as the Master of Gravity ran away from him.

Cole then saw one blade underneath a small bench and took it, "Yes!"

Clouse put the blade in the throne as he announced, "Two Jade Blades remaining"

Cole burst through the doors with the blade in hand as he shouted, "Wait! I got one!"

Jay shouted in relief, "Cole!"

However, Cole noticed his friends, but he didn't see Kai here.

"Whoo-hoo! You made it!" Jay congratulated as Lloyd smiled at him.

"Where's Kai?" Cole asked as he looked around, and Clouse took the blade from Cole.

Clouse put the blade in the throne as he announced, "Only one Jade Blade remaining"

(Kai's POV)

I was facing down the bulky Master of Metal. I was not going to lose! I have to find Zane and stay in the tournament to impress Skylor. What? I can do both, right? The Jade Blade was in the middle of us. I lit my fist on fire as I glared at Karlof. I was so going to beat him after that fight we had on the boat. Karlof slammed his fists together to make himself grow taller and gain a metal body.

Chen shouted loudly and annoyingly. "Get on with it!"

He didn't need to tell me twice! The two of us charged at each other. Karlof grabs my hands and stops the fire from growing out of control as he slammed his other hand on my head. I could feel my head spinning, but I swiftly pulled myself away from me and lit my fists on fire again. I shoot a beam of fire to push him away from me. We both tried to grab the blade, but it bounced out of our hands and rolled away from us! Karlof charged towards it as I lit my other hand on fire and launched myself towards the blade. We crashed into each other as the blade flew above us. Karlof continued to punch my head and back hard! I wasn't even sure I could beat him fist to fist! Ugh! I can't give up! Wait! That's it! I didn't move and closed my eyes. Karlof kept hitting my back until he realized I wasn't moving.

"Did I hurt the red one that much?!" he exclaimed.

Ops. I didn't think this through. I began to slowly breath. I heard Karlof sigh in relief as he stomped over to the blade and picked it up. He marched away from me. I quietly got up and then chased after him. As I was running after him, I noticed some screws were on his gauntlets! I could fix that! I saw a toolbox and took the screwdriver. Karlof opened the doors as everyone looked at him surprised.

He raised the Jade Blade as he shouted in triumph, "Ha, ha, ha! Karlof wins!"

I could see my friends' shocked expressions as everyone else was cheering. Don't worry, I've got a plan. I quietly unscrew the gauntlet holding the Jade Blade. Karlof was surprised when his gauntlet fell off with the Jade Blade in his hand.

"Ah, looks like you got a screw loose!" I said in relief as I swiftly took the blade and then used my fire to launch myself to the throne.

I still can't believe that worked! Haha! I was so happy I front flipped and then side flipped. I landed next to the throne and faced everyone. I placed the blade in the throne. Everyone cheered for me. Well, except for Sensei Garmadon, Aya, and Tadakatsu. Either way, the cheering felt awesome! I glanced my head and stopped when I saw Skylor. She gave me a proud smile. That's right! I'm doing this!

Chen rose from his throne as he proclaimed, "We have a loser!"

We turned to Karlof as he put his gauntlet back on his fist.

"That's not fair! He cheated!" Karlof said as he pointed his gauntlet at me.

I stood up from myself with a shrug, "I did what I had to do"

Sensei Garmadon stepped forward as he scolded, "That is not how you win"

Karlof accepted defeat, "Fine, I lose"

Oh, man. Now I feel a bit guilty. Karlof accepted defeat when he should've won.

He walked towards us, "Karlof never wanted to be on stinking island!"

Chen announced, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. I guess this worked out for the best"

Karlof smiled. Ok, maybe everything will be alright.

"This is goodbye!" Master Chen said in delight and pressed a button on his throne.

A trapdoor opened underneath Karlof. He let out a scream as he fell through the hole! Well, I feel even more guilty. This is not what I expected... I hope he's ok... I turned to Chen to ask him what happened to Karlof.

"As you can see, lose and you are out" Chen pointed out in delight.

We turned to the bracket as a grunt picked up Karlof's picture and crushed it in his hands.

"Break any rule, you are out!" Chen added seriously, "Never bite the hands that feeds you, Master Chen delicious noodles! Now rest up. Tomorrow the tournament will recommence"

The grunt banged the mini gong as the Kabuki lead us to the mess hall to have dinner.

(3rd's POV)

Kai, Cole, Jay, Lloyd, and Sensei Garmadon sitting in booth together while Seliel, Aya, and Cora were in another booth beside them.

Cole took a bite of the noodles as he smiled, "At least the chow's good"

"Agree!" Seliel shouted as she gulped down the punch they were served.

Jay let out a wail as he yelled "It's killing me! What's under the trap door? What happens when you lose?!"

Cora sank into her seat as she heard Jay's wail of concern. Aya reassured her that everything will be fine.

"Don't think about that" Sensei Garmadon quieted the Master of Lightning.

"It's all I can think about!" Jay shouted in fear, "I moved on. I feel guilt! These are not good feelings"

Cora then slammed her head on the table as she mumbled "I shouldn't have come! What if I cost us to lose?!"

"No, you won't" Aya reassured the young girl.

"You did fine the first round" Seliel added calmly as she ate her noodles.

"You think you feel bad? Imagine how I feel!" Kai shouted over the blue ninja, "Our mission is simple. Tonight, we find Zane and Aya's partner's little brother and get off this crazy island!"

"And just how are we supposed to do that?" Cole asked concerned, "You heard Chen, break a rule and we're out! He's not going to let us roam around"

"Not to mention the huge amount of security guards roaming around here!" Seliel added as she finished the bowl.

"Then it's a good thing we're ninja" Kai said seriously, "Meet me in my room at midnight"

Mr. Paleman walked pass Aya, Cora, and Seliel. The three girls looked over their booth to see the Master of Light approaching the boys.

"You mind if I join you?" he asked nervously.

Jay waved his chopsticks at him as he shouted, "Disappear, pal! This is private!"

Cora let out a laugh as the Master of Light vanished.

"Uhh. I know you're still here" Jay said with an annoyed sighed, "I can see your lunch tray"

Mr. Paleman then walked away from the group. Everyone starred at Jay surprised.

"Wow, Jay, you were really mean" Cole pointed out surprised.

Jay stood up from his booth as he shouted and pointed his chopsticks at Cole, "How am I supposed to know if we can trust him? See what this island is doing to me? It's corrupting me! It has to stop! I'll see you tonight!"

Everyone just looked at him in surprise. Seliel just shrugged and agreed. She picked her tray up and then got an idea as she turned to Jay.

"When we get to Kai's room, can I borrow your powers please?" she asked excitedly.

Cole's eyes were wide as Jay scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Uh, sure thing!" he offered with a smile.

"Great! Make sure you are charged up!" she said as she rushed towards her room excitedly.

Aya decided to take her tray and leave the group as she said, "I'll meet you at midnight"

Cora looked at the two ninjas as she waited.

"How did you do that?" Cole asked speechless.

"I guess she found me more shocking than you!" Jay said as he happily ate his noodles.

"Oh, boy" Cora said as she looked from the booth.

Kai quickly took his tray, jumped out of the booth, and ran away from the two ninjas. Cora and Lloyd shared a look as Sensei Garmadon sighed. He finished his cookies and left.

"Should we stop them?" Lloyd asked his father as Cole and Jay looked at him.

"No" he replied as he ran to Lloyd's room.

Lloyd shrugged and took his tray. He then left the two ninjas as Cora picked hers up. She stopped in front of the two ninjas.

"I thought the saying was bros before girlfriends. You two should work on that" she said simply as she then ran off.

Cole was shocked at his friends as Jay finished his food and left. When it was midnight, Kai was starring at himself in the mirror and flexing his muscles in the mirror. Kai then turned to his clock and saw that it was only one minute till midnight. He rushed to his balcony and opened the doors. He looked over the edge to see the guards marching around. Lloyd and Cora jumped down and landed on the balcony. Cole, Aya, and Seliel joined them.

(Seliel's POV)

If I am right, I should be able to do this! I can't wait to try out my invention. I looked around the room, but Jay wasn't here. I thought he was the fastest. I looked at the balcony to see Kai tackle someone away! I heard Jay screaming. I wanted to rush out there and help him, Cole stopped me. He motioned for me to be quiet.

"What was that you said?" Skylor asked curiously.

Oh, no! What if she saw Jay?

"Uh, I said! W-what a beautiful night!" Kai shouted in delight.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes. He's still an idiot.

"Aw, come on" Jay whimpered semi loudly.

I turned to Cora who wanted to bust down the doors and help Jay. Aya was being the voice of reason and stopping her from helping Jay.

"What do you think happened to Karlof?" Skylor asked curiously.

That is when I relaxed a bit.

"I feel horrible" Kai admitted sadly, "If I have known what would've happen-"

He does have honor!

"You did what you had to do to stay in the tournament" Skylor said with shrug, "I'm sorry if I was cold to you earlier. Maybe it is good to have friends here"

There's just something about her I don't like. I don't know what it is...

"Kai!" Jay whimpered as he looked up at his brother

"Jay! Would you stop making noise?!" Kai whispered to him.

"You had asked me about my power" Skylor began to talk.

"Uh, yeah, oh, it's so cold out!" Kai said with a few laughs, "Better call it a night!"

He walked back into the room as I nearly lunged at him. Cole had to literally hold me back.

"Oh, okay" Skylor said disappointedly, "Sorry to have bothered –"

"Oh, okay! Goodnight!" Kai exclaimed as he opened the doors with a smile and then closed it.

Skylor just sighed as she went back to her room. Kai then opened the door and rushed to help Jay.

"You just had to leave me hanging, huh, Romeo?" Jay commented as Kai pulled him up.

The two of them walked into the room as Aya closed the doors. Cole released me with a defeated sigh and went to the bench to sit down with Lloyd and Cora sitting next to each other. Aya was sitting on the bed.

"Woah- ho -ho! Nice digs!" Jay complimented.

"I know! His room is so much nicer than mine!" Cole complained as he saw a bowl of chocolate covered shell peas, "Look, chocolate covered shell peas! I love these!"

Cole began to eat the peas as then ran forward, backflipped, and landed on Kai's bed. Aya sat away from him when he landed on the bed.

He added annoyed, "Oh, and look how soft your pillows are! Man, mine are made of rock! What a crock!"

"Language!" Aya scolded the Master of Earth as she glared at him.

Cole let out a whimper as he continued to eat his peas. Jay walked up to me.

"Okay, it was almost impossible to get here! This place is swarming with guards!" Cora shouted in a panicked tone.

"Yeah, any ideas on how we search the island?" Jay added as he looked to Lloyd.

"We travel by shadow" Kai suggested, "Cover every square inch of this place until we find them"

"But how are we going to do that? This place is so huge!" Cora pointed out.

"We'll need to split up" Jay pondered on this.

"No, we stick together" Lloyd said seriously.

I then heard someone scream. I turned to the bed, but I didn't see Cole and Aya. Then, the bed flipped over to reveal Cole and Aya. Aya looked furious while Cole was shaken up a bit. What did they find?!

"Uh guys..." Cole said nervously, "This bed is..."

"Cole! I get it! You like my bed!" Kai shouted as his temper burst.

"I think we found a way to search the island..." Aya said defeatedly as she rose from the bed, and Cole smiled.

"What was under there?" I asked as Cora eyed the bed.

"Just join me!" Cole urged them with a wave of his hand.

Cora felt excited as she jumped on the bed while Kai, Jay, and Lloyd joined them. I was with Aya.

Aya rolled her eyes as she said seriously, "Cora, please remember that I am supposed to protect you. I don't approve of this"

"Relax! She'll be with us! What can go wrong?" Jay reassured with a wave of his hand.

Aya just rolled her eyes as Cora grinned, "Don't worry! I can handle myself just fine!"

Lloyd laid on the bed as he said, "I feel ridiculous"

"Ahh. You're right" Jay complimented, "The pillows are soft"

"Is this a joke?!" Cora asked as she glared at him.

"I must've done something to trigger it" Cole said as he rethought his actions, "I was laying here, then I stretched..."

Cole extended himself back to the edge of the bed until we heard something click. We screamed as the bed flipped over a few times and then stopped. They looked flustered.

"Wow! Secret Passage! Oh, that's what you meant" Jay said as he slowly got off the bed and then walked up to me, "What did you need my help with?"

"Oh, well, I only have enough material to make two of these, but it should work" I said as it took out two cameras.

Everyone looked at the cameras as Jay squealed in delight, "Oh! I get it! You want me to jump start the cameras and help you make sure they work! You are a genius!"

He gave me a tight hug as Cole looked away from us. The two of us began to work on the cameras until they were ready. Jay and I made a strap for one of the cameras. I took the camera and faced Cora.

"Ok, I'm just going to put this on your wrist" I said gently as I placed the camera on her wrist.

"So, why do I have this?" she asked as she poked at the camera.

"Don't worry about it. The camera will be on the whole-time you guys go through the secret passage" I said as I made sure the camera was on and on her wrist, "Also, you are more responsible than the rest of them"

Lloyd looked offended as Cole turned his head away from me. Kai shook his head as Jay went back to the bed.

"Good luck and be safe" Aya said seriously as she folded her arms over her chest.

"We will!" Lloyd and Cora said excitedly as Cole hit his head against the switch.

After it was quiet, I checked on the camera. It was working! I am a genius!

Aya then turned to me as she pointed out, "You are trying to make Cole jealous, aren't you?"

"No!" I said with the wave of my hand and looked at the camera.

"If you really like him, then tell him. He clearly likes you. After the whole fight between him and his best friend, it wouldn't be nice to play with his feelings like this" Aya advised me as she sat on the bench.

I know she's right! Ugh! Fine! If they make it out of here, I'll give Cole the biggest hug he'll ever get! Oh, and cake.

(Cora's POV)

I can't believe Aya let me go with them! This is going to be so much fun! We landed on the ground quietly as Kai lit his hand on fire to light up the area around us. As crazy as Chen is, this place is pretty cool.

"Maybe Zane and Aya's friend are down here!" Kai said as we walked on ahead.

Lloyd and I turned to look at each other when we heard someone grunting.

"Quiet. Do you hear that?" Lloyd asked.

"Oh, secret peep hole!" Jay said excitedly as he ran towards it, "Sounds like someone is training on the other side of this wall!"

"What do you see?! Who's fighting?!" Cole asked urgently.

"It's Skylor and Masamune! They're sparring in her room!" Jay said in shock.

"Let me see! Let me see!" Kai exclaimed as he made the flame vanish from his hand and run up to the wall.

I will never understand them... One moment they'll fight for a girl and in the next, they will fight with each over it! Seriously! Make up your minds!

"Oh, looks like Kai's got the hots for her!" Cole exclaimed with a laugh.

Lloyd and I both groaned at this. We have a mission!

"No, she's competition!" Kai retorted as he looked away, "I just wanna know what powers we're up against"

Excuses, excuses. Seriously, we have to help our friends! I then remembered the times I've blushed at Lloyd. My face heated up, but I quickly shook the thought out of my head. I have to be focus!

"Wait your turn" Jay shouted as Kai shoved him away.

"We can share!" Kai exclaimed.

Masamune launched a punch as Skylor easily missed his strike. He tried to push her away, but she easily ducked away.

"Guys, this is an invasion of privacy" Lloyd pointed out.

"Her room doesn't reveal anything about her power!" Kai complained.

"It's a girl's room! Stop it!" I shouted annoyed.

"Relax! We've seen Nya's room before! Also, she's walked in on us before" Cole replied coolly.

I let out a horrified yell as Lloyd gawked at Cole.

"You did what?!" Lloyd asked in disbelief.

"It happens" Kai said calmly, "It happens when you live with boys who are careless"

I can't believe them. I then turned to Lloyd who put his hands up in defense.

"I was always careful!" Lloyd shouted defensively, "Zane and I were both cautious!"

"Does it work?" Masamune asked seriously.

Just then, Skylor's hand caught fire!

She grinned in delight as she said, "Yes. It works"

Both Kai and Jay gasped in shock as they faced each other.

"What?! What did you see?" Cole asked eagerly.

"She's fire..." Kai said in disbelief.

Wait, what?! There can be three people wielding the same element?! That can't be... Lloyd noticed I was having a hard time believing this.

"Wait a minute, if we're all descendants of elemental masters..." Lloyd tried to reason, but even he was struggling with this as much as me!

"Haha! Kai's heart is on fire! Kai's heart is on fire!" Cole sang happily as he pointed at him.

"Can we please just keep moving?!" Kai shouted annoyed.

We marched behind Kai who had his hand on fire again. Cole picked up the chocolate peas. I decided to have some too. Though, we were both messy eaters.

"Huh. It's like a maze down here" Kai said, "Good thing you're leaving a trail back to our room"

"I'm what?" Cole said surprised as he continued to eat the chocolate peas, "Oh, yeah. I meant to do that"

We then found a long drop. I shrugged and just jumped. The four of them were surprised as I landed on the ground with grace.

"It's not that far down!" I shouted up at them.

"Alright" Lloyd said with a shrug as he jumped after me.

The other three decided to take their time and climb down. We were walking down the tunnel until Lloyd stopped Kai.

"Everyone stop!" Lloyd said loudly, "Booby traps"

I began to wonder if Lloyd learned that from his time at the boarding school.

"Ha, ha! Booby traps! Even cooler!" Jay admired in delight.

Lloyd glared at the blue ninja who stuttered nervously, "Or, I mean, kinda cool. I mean, they're totally not cool, you know 'cause they're dangerous"

"From here on out, we have to watch our step" Lloyd advised seriously.

"Do you hear that?" I asked as I looked on ahead, "Everyone be quiet"

Kai and I walked on ahead to see the grunts marching on ahead. Lloyd noticed five more coming down the tunnel. He motioned for us to attack them. We took their outfits and made our way down the tunnel. I don't think this is not a good idea.

"We don't have tattoos" I said as I noticed the odd purple snake tattoos on them.

"Let's us the chocolate!" Jay said excitedly.

He took the chocolate peas and drew tattoos on our faces. He's really good at this. We then went down the hallway and joined the other grunts. Cole was licking his tattoo!

"Stop licking your tattoo" Kai shouted at him.

"It's chocolate. I can't resist" Cole complained.

"Shh! Just try to fit in!" Lloyd urged them as Jay and I began to mimic the other grunts.

I suddenly stopped chanting when Chen came out with a snake staff holding a crystal.

"Bring out the loser!" Chen ordered.

Jay and I both turned our heads to see two grunts holding Karlof?! We both just stopped chanting when we saw him.

"Uh! Get hands off Karlof!" Karlof shouted in his metal form, "Karlof wish he never sign up for this!"

We bowed to Chen as Kai, Cole, and Lloyd starred at him. The two grunts threw Karlof to the ground. I made sure the camera could see everything.

"What is chanting for?" Karlof asked nervously.

"Uh, they're saying, only one can remain!" Chen stated as we looked at him, "Like I said, use it or lose it!"

The grunts held Karlof as Chen raised the staff. Ice fell from the staff and went to Karlof. He let out a pain groan as his elemental power of metal were pulled from him! It went to the staff. I was about to cry out in shock, but Jay covered my mouth with his hand quickly.

"He's stolen Karlof's power" Kai said in complete shock.

"And he used ice" Cole added seriously, "That means he must have already stolen Zane's power too!"

Karlof was on his knees as he asked in disbelief, "What happened to my metal?"

Chen held the staff close to him as he said in delight, "Your metal. Oh, it's mine now. But now I will let you go"

Oh, that's a relief. I think.

"Really?" Karlof asked in disbelief.

"To the factory!" Chen declared.

The two grunts pulled Karlof away as he shouted, "No! No! Let Karlof go!"

Jay and I were shaking a bit until Lloyd noticed and pointed at Jay, "Jay, your face..."

He pulled his hand away from my mouth as he felt his cheeks and exclaimed, "Oh! My face? All of our faces! The chocolate's melting!"

He's not wrong, but Jay spoke too loudly and got the attention of the other grunts!

"Who are they?" one of the grunts asked as they all faced us.

Chen turned his attention to us as he ordered, "Intruders! Stop them! They must not escape!"

"Run!" I shouted as we bolted out of the chamber.

The grunts were chasing after us as one of them was holding a torch. Cole then tripped over the booby traps! Jay helped Cole up as Kai and I saw a giant metal door close behind us! Yes! We were away from them! Until axes fell to the ground! We screamed and ran away from this. Lloyd quickly took my wrist and pulled me away as Kai pulled Jay away from the last axe.

"That was close" Jay said in relief, "What's that sound?"

We looked over the edge of another cave and saw a giant purple snake... I gulped nervously as we looked at it.

"That has got to be the second biggest snake I have ever seen!" Kai exclaimed as he pointed the obvious out.

We quickly jumped up the tower and went towards Kai's bed as fast as we could. We climb into the side. Lloyd pulled me behind him as the snake tried to eat us! Jay was in front of us as the snake tried to eat us. Just then, the trap door opened underneath us. We landed on the bed as Seliel jumped away from us. Aya waved her hands upward to create a dark wall until the trap door closed.

"Cora, are you ok?" she asked me as she removed the skull head from my head and hugged me.

"I'm fine" I said as I turned towards them and Seliel, "That was crazy... Did you get that?"

"Yeah..." Seliel said in complete shock as she helped Cole sit up.

"Are we?" Kai asked in disbelief.

Lloyd was still laying on the bed as he answered his friend honestly, "Yeah, barely"

"Did we just? Ow!" Cole said as Seliel pulled his arm a bit.

Jay stood up as he said, "No more sneaking around. From now on, let's just follow the rules"

Kai stood up on his bed and stated seriously, "We may not have found Zane and the bother, but we found something just as important. This tournament isn't about glory. It is about Chen stealing all of our elemental powers"

"But why? What is he planning?" Lloyd asked in shock.

"I don't know, but if we're gonna find out, and find our friends, we have to play by the rules" Kai stated, "Agreed?"

"Agreed" we all said in unison.

"Good thing you weren't spotted. That was too close" Seliel said as she looked at the camera.

"Yeah... too close" Jay said as he showed us a ripped hole in his pants.

That was insane. I looked up at Aya who was also pondering about what was going on. What does Chen want with our powers? I don't want to know what losing your powers feels like...

(Masamune's POV)

Well, she did it.

"How do you know about the powers of amber?" she asked me curiously.

"I have a very good friend in Ransei who has those powers" I answered as I thought about Lady Krystal, "She's still learning about her powers, so I helped her with it"

"It must be nice to have friends..." Skylor whispered as a sad smile fell on her face.

I walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder as I reassured her, "Well, you've got one here"

She smiled at me as then turned away from me.

"Is it ok for me to make friends?" she asked as she sat on her bed.

"Sure. Who do you want to be your friend?" I asked as I leaned against the wall.

"Kai" she said nervously.

Out of everyone she could've asked to be her friend, it had to be the one with a temper. Well, I guess I can help with that. We heard a knock at the door and waited for a moment. It was Clouse.

"It appears those pesky ninjas have decided to interrupt your father's ceremony" Clouse informed us.

Shoot! Does that include Aya and that little girl with her?! I thought Aya was smart!

"Your father wants them eliminated as soon as possible. Try and trick the red one. He's certainly taken aback by you" Clouse ordered as he closed the door and left us.

Skylor's face was pale and nervous. This just got a whole lost more complicated...
