Sans stared at the liquid in front of him with obvious distrust. Papyrus had told him that it was medicine, but he knew that it was given to Papyrus by the scientist, and in his experience, scientists were bad. What if she was trying to use his brother to hurt him? "Sans... I Know Your Nervous..." Sans looked up at his big bro as he tried to kneel to his level. "But I Promise, It Will Taste Just Like Juice... The Good Dr. Alphys Said It Would Help You Grow... Would You Feel Better If I Tasted It First?" Papyrus suggested, and Sans sockets went wide. He knew that Papyrus would go through with it. He'd done it many, many times before in the past, since Sans first woke up at this place what felt like ages ago. Sans shook his head and looked at the blueish green liquid. "i trust you..." he muttered before he took the glass and started to drink it down. "Thank You..." He heard Papyrus murmur before he finished it and sat back. Papyrus stood and rubbed his skull with a loving smile before he went to wash the glass and tuck Sans in for a nap.

Papyrus didn't notice any differences, not at first. Sans seemed as small as ever the first day or two of starting the new serum. He worried that it wasn't working at first. That was until Sans finally approached him about it. Up close, it did seem that Sans was a few inches taller. "papy?" Papyrus paused from trying to solve a Junior Jumble (which wasn't working out very well) and picked Sans up to put him in his lap. Sans settled instantly, though he seemed intent on facing Papyrus. "Sans? What Is It, Brother?" Sans hesitated, searched Papyrus face, and even tried to look him up and down before asking. "weren't you a baby..?" Papyrus was almost caught off guard, but he remembered what Alphys said about him gaining the memories of his first time growing up. "Yes... Yes, I Was, Sans." Papyrus replied softly. Sans frowned, all the more confused. "but... but you're not no more. how..?" Papyrus hugged Sans a little closer as he tried to find easy words to explain the situation. "Well... You Were A Grown Up Too. But There Was An Accident That Made You Small Again." Papyrus settled on.

Sans, of course, had questions, and Papyrus tried to answer best he could. "a lab accident?" Papyrus nodded. "was it because of the scientist?" Papyrus shook his head. "I Don't Think So, No. She Was Trying To Help You, But There Were Unforeseen Consequences." Sans hesitated again before nodding. "am i stuck like this? will i be little forever?" Sans asked in a small voice. Papyrus shook his head vigorously. "No! Not At All, Brother! That Is What The Medicine Is For. You Are Growing up! Dr. Alphys Expects You To Be All Grown Within 10 And A Half Days! It Has Already Been 1 And A Half!" Papyrus told him excitedly. Sans could help feeling excited, too! Papyrus excitement was contagious. "that's a short time!" Papyrus laughed softly. "Yes, It Really Is, Isn't It?" He mused as he pet Sans. Said child closed his sockets and purred at the affection he was being given. "I Love You, Brother..." Sans purred all the louder, so very happy. "i love you too, big brother..."
