*Yami's POV*
The sound of the rain poinding against my window couldn't drown out my cries. Seto forced me to my room and locked me in, to stop me from getting to my mother.  "I've called for someone to come pick up the body," Seto said from the other side of my door.

I never gave him an answer, leaving him to sigh and walk away. I don't want to be here... I don't want to be with anyone. There is only one person I want to be with right now and that person...is Yugi. With my mimd set, I backed a bag with the little stash of food I had when I used to just sit in my room all day.

I made sure I had a rain coat and the last thing I picked up was my favourite item...the puzzle. Going out the door would be stupid because of the number of guards so the only way out is my window. It's not a far drop, a bush is at the bottom so I'll come out with a few cuts. Srew it, I'm going for it!

Opening thr window, the winter air greeted me and a little jump the bushes were my next guests. I forgot that there was thorns in the bush so they dug into my arm. I had to bite my lip to stop myself letting out any nosie. After a quick scan of the area, I took off running down the hill.

It was muddy from the rain and I lost my balance a few times but managed to stay up on my feet. I entered the city and recognised the pub that we always walked past. Yugi...please help me.

*Yugi's POV*
"I've seen the way you look at his friend Joey, you haven't looked at anyone like that since Mai,"I said and rolled over onto my back.

Grandpa had to go over to one of his friends for a bit so I had the game shop to myself. I was on face call with Joey as my last comment made him go red. "Hey Yuge you can't say anything.  What about you and Prince boy eh? You have near enough spent all your time with him."

"And what's wrong with helping someone new? You could join us and help out that Kaiba guy," I said and he just diverted his attention away from me. "Awwww is Joey Wheeler getting embarrassed?"

"Shut the hell up dude. How about I tell everyone about you two being locked in the supply closet?" He asked and it was my turn to turn red. Is this a game of tennis, if the ball is in your court then you go red?

"O-Ok that was an accident. The door shut as I asked Yami to help me. I was cold so he let me hug him," I said and went in a bad mood with him. I heard heard the door bell go downstairs and sighed that I had to get up. "Gotta go Joey. See ya tomorrow. "

"Chao dude, don't be late!" he yelled and we hung up. I straighten myself out and headed downstairs. I could see the outline of the person outside. Why does their hair look like mine? Pushing the thought aside I opened the door and was in shock with who was in front of me.

"Y-Yami! What are you doing here!?! Your completely soaked! Get in here and I'll get something," I said and grabbed him pulling him into the shop. His hands were ice cold, why would he even be out in this weather? I took him up to the guest room we had and made him sit down. His face....it looks so emotionless, somethings wrong.

I went to go grab sone towels for him but he grabbed my hand and was shaking. "Y-Y-Yugi...d-don't l-leave m-me," he mumbled and began to shake even more. I had no choice but to take him with me and grab the towels. He was really unstable and kept losing his footing. 

"Here ya go, let's go sit in my room and maybe you can tell me what's happened?" I asked and he slowly nodded his head. After we got to my room he started to dry himself off. "Yami can you tell me what had happened now?"

He stopped what he was doing and looked up at me with tears in his eyes. "W-When I got back h-home, I got told my m-mother was ill. She's never been good with illnesses....She...she...." He was now choking on his words.

I didn't need to be told any more as I knew what had happened. His mom died, and he's here looking for comfort. Not caring he was soaked, I gave him a hug and felt him jerk at first. "Yami... you want stay here for the night?" I said and heard him started to cry.

There's no way I could send him away, not in his state and besides he's like my new best friend. I gave him some extra pj's from my drawer and left him to change. I made hot chocolate and by the time I got back, Yami was asleep in my bed. I just smiled at him and slipped in beside him.

I know what he is going through, I've had to go through it myself. I just hope he doesn't do the same things I almost did. Yami, no matter what I'll be here for you.

I wonder what Yugi almost did? Oh well, the main problem is the depressed Yami we now have. Losing his mom has left a deep scar on him, can Yugi help heal it?
