Kyle York, an academically-gifted nerd with a sailor's mouth and a street-smart personality, never likes anyone who chases after the goals of having fifteen minutes of fame and anyone who doesn't care about their futures outside of wanting to be rich and famous. But his parents think that Kyle needs an extreme life-makeover, hence the move from Oakland to Berkeley.

"Lord Jesus, this family of mine always harp on my back on why I'm too harsh on the popular social-climbing brats. All I want to do is focus on  school and my goal of being a fashion designer so I can leave this dump and show them how I can live my life without wanting fifteen minutes of fame."

And once he meets Marcel Dermott and his circle of popular kids and is told to spend more time with them, he knows that he can't get out of it despite meeting more social misfits who warn him that the popular guys aren't as they appear to be. And to make matters worse, Marcel has caught his attention much to his distate.

"I got a lot of plans for you, Kyle York. Your family and I and my family have a LOT invested in you, as do my friends and their families and all of the neighborhood. You WILL become a part of this community and be a social butterfly."

But one incident where Kyle accidentally discovers Marcel's biggest secret lands him in a world where his greatest dislike has become his living nightmare. And before he knows it, he's tossed in a world where spandex can be too form-fitting; the crime-fighting is deterring his academic lifestyle; and so much more.

Kyle York has to deal with overambitious family members, his now-developed superpowers, secrets and scandals, and all the drama involving his senior year in high school. And at some point of the story, he'll be asking himself one question.

"How did my life become a comical comic book?"

Okay, folks, this is the FINAL promo for this story as I have 30 chapters outlined for this story so far. And just so you know, there'll be 60 chapters plus the overtures for acts one, two, and three and the mid-book interlude (yes, there's going to a mid-book interlude, sue me if you must!); but as of late, I decided to go ahead and use the outline for the first twenty chapters (unless I decide to use the whole outline up to chapter 30).

I'm not going to lie to you when I say that what I got so far is going to be full of twists, turns, flashback moments, and even some craziness in the mix. And from what I got so far, this story right here is going to be one chaotic saga. If anything, this NaNoWriMo project of mine can go either way: a fiery force of nature or just a hot mess. But I told myself that if I was going to do NaNoWriMo, I was going to go all-in and make sure to write every day during November. And I plan to do just that!
