Chapter Fifty
Later that evening, at California-Berkeley's Druscilla Baker Science Building...
Sure enough, it was now time for our mission. After handling the usual affairs (homework, housework, the mandatory dinner with the Dermott-York empire), my crew and I were all disguised as janitorial workers (thanks to Grandpa Tillman's intel help from the inside) as we were waiting for clearance by the campus police and the super-powered state troopers. "Remember the plan, gang," I said to everyone as we were settled into the large van that held all the equipment that we needed- the usual cleaning supplies that were used as a front alongside some weapons we brought including baseball bats, homemade bombs, and a few other things). "Kelante, you join Grandma Tillman, your mom, and Mrs. Detweiler in keeping up the act. Mr. Detweiler, you and Kelante's grandparents will need to keep watch in case everything goes south. Tiffany, Grandpa Tillman, and I will be the ones to find those shipments of serums and make sure to destroy everything with the bombs."
"How long do we have?" Grandma Tillman asked me.
"If anything, not too long since all the heat around town is making sure that we don't try anything," Kelante replied.
"That doesn't sound too promising at all," Tiffany noted, "but we don't have much of a choice. Either we do this now, or be sitting ducks and forced into a nightmare of spandex and Pleasantville nightmares."
"Right," I said as I fixed my cap. "From here on out, communication is strictly limited unless we're caught or finished with the mission or else we blow our covers. Front folks and watchmen, if anything happens to me, Tiffany, and Grandpa; you're to make a hasty exodus out of town and leave everything behind. Live to warn any Outcasts or Neutrals remaining. Leave town and save yourselves."
Everyone nodded as the campus guard came back with our badges. "Everything checks out," he said formally. "Sorry for the delays, folks, but we got a BIG presentation coming up tomorrow and Mr. York has a secret project that'll hit the world by then. Hence the beefed-up security. At least Smitty from the state troopers vouched for you guys."
"Of course," Grandpa said from the front seat. "Let him know that we'll have the place spruced up by tomorrow morning and we'll be out of here in no time at all."
"You get two hours before you're to clear out," the guard warned.
"We'll be done in half the time," I commented, disguising my voice. "Brian York will be in for one hell of a treat."
And that was the truth. All my crew needed was one hour to plant the bombs around the crates that held the serums and by the time we left the university campus, the Titan Club manifesto would be down to nothing.

After thirty minutes of keeping up with the charade, it was time to fan out and get down to the main objective as Grandpa Tillman, Tiffany, and I collected our doomsday baggages and began our searches for the secret room. "According to Smitty, the serums are in the sub-level of the building," Grandpa commented as he got out his tablet device. "All cameras are down, so we'll go in undetected."
"How do we get there?" Tiffany asked softly.
"The stairwell," I said, pointing to a door that featured the directions. "No need to risk taking the elevators and get caught."
Several minutes later, we were in the sub-level floor of the building. "Lack of security around here," Tiffany commented as we looked around. "This was way too easy to get here."
I pulled out a can of her hairspray and began to spray the room. "Just as I thought," I said as lasers were surrounding the area. "One wrong move and the guards will be on us."
"Right," my girlfriend said as she sat down her bag and handed me her cap. "Leave everything to me."
Grandpa and my eyes went wide as I saw her maneuver through the lasers and avoid triggering them with grace and skills of a trapeze artist and ballet dancer combined before she was able to unlock the door with the given passcode. "Wow," I said. "Tiffany, how did you-"
"Thank God for mandatory ballet lessons and circus camp when I was in middle school," my girlfriend answered confidently as Grandpa and I soon joined her in the large metal room.
Sure enough, there were enough shipments of the serum that could cover the entire world with superhumans and immortal beings twice over. "Let's get to work," I declared. "Set the bombs for 4 minutes and place them underneath the wooden bases."
It took only several minutes to get all the bombs planted before we made out exits and regrouped with everyone else. "Mission accomplished," I announced as my team and I got everything packed up in the van before checking with the guard. "Told you we'd finished with everything before two hours, sir."
"Good to know, folks," the guard answered. "Have a good evening."
As soon as he returned to his post and after the troopers escorted us off the campus, I pressed a button as Mr. Detweiler drove away. "Ladies and gentlemen, let the destruction begin," I said.
No sooner than we got into the main highway, there were sirens and explosions being made. "Damn," Kelante said. "This is the most fun that I had in years."
"Shit," I heard Tiffany curse. "I left my phone in that secret room! It's probably destroyed in that fire by now."
"Hmph," Grandma sniffed. "Child, you got the-"
"Don't say it, please. I know that I messed up."
"At least we know that we won't be caught," Kelante said. "Now, let's get the hell out of here!"
He didn't have to tell us twice. It was time to head out and celebrate a major win. Titan Club, eat your hearts out!

Kyle's POV
I knew that they were going to do this, try and destroy those serums to shift the tide in their favor.
As far as I'm concerned, they've just sealed their fate. Because the REAL serums were just shipped all over the world before they went to the campus. And thanks to Dad's ingenuity, the Titan Revolution was soon to begin.
"It has begun, Dad," I said to him over the phone as Marcel and I got ready for bed. "All the serums should be on their way to the hospitals and schools all over the world."
"Good, son," I heard him reply. "By tomorrow, all of Berkeley will soon fall in line. As for those Outcasts, they'll be dealt with swiftly. For now, we let them celebrate and savor their so-called win. But it'll be them who will have the furthest to fall."
"Of course," I said, my body reacting to Marcel's sensual touches. "Good night, Dad."
I disconnected as I let Marcel go down on me.
Sorry, Tamarious and Company. From now on, all bets are off!
Oh, shit! Things are starting to get very complicated as a game-changer is dropped! What'll happen next as we're closer to the end? All I can say is that you're not ready for what's going down!
But in the next chapter, the Outcasts are casually enjoying their best life...before it's back to reality!
