Nancy POV
"No matter what house any of us are put in we'll always be together, right?" I was nervous, I couldn't risk losing my friends again.
"of course. Oh and sweetie," river grinned at me and turned to the doctor.
Missy pulled me closer to her and whispered in my ear, "you look after the doctor, she's lost a lot of people in the past and I think you might be one of the only ones who stays for ever, other than me of course."
I laughed as all four of us made our way off the train.

We were shown into boats that took us across the lake and then we walked up to the school and into the great Hall.

All of the older students were sat along the big house tables and as we walked in I could feel their eyes on us.
Professor mcgonogall began the ceremony.
"Smith, Jane!" the Doctor went running forward, eagerly.
After a pause the hat finally called out, "HUFFLEPUFF!"
The Doctor ran happily towards the yellow and black table that was cheering.
Missy was made a slytherin without any hesitation, in fact the hat hardly touched her head, River was made a slytherin to but it took a bit longer to decide. James Potter, sirius black, Peter pettigrew and remus lupin were put in gryffindor along with lily Evans, Marlene mckinnon, dorcas meadows, emmeline vance, Mary Mcdonald and Alice fortescue. Severus Snape became a slytherin and then it was my turn.
"Watson, Nancy!"
I made my way to the stool and as the hat was dropped over my eyes a voice spoke in my ear, "hello, let's see. You have lost everything you cared about, but you still have carried on. Well the obvious choice for you is GRYFFINDOR! oh and good luck my dear."
I hurried to the gryffindor table and slipped into a space between lily Evans and remus lupin.

After the feast me, River, Missy and the Doctor met briefly,
" we'll still be friends right?"the Doctor said hopefully.
" of course sweetie," River smiled kindly at the shorter blonde.
" and how about we meet here tomorrow night and explore," I said
" alright, see you tomorrow and hopefully in class," Missy said just before her and River were pulled away by the rest of slytherin.
The doctor pulled me into a tight hug, "I'm sorry I left you all that time ago, I just had to get away. Please forgive me."
"I do doctor, goodnight." I smiled before running after the rest of gryffindor.
