Sorrow
???
Black, cold, void. Cyan, cool, light. Silver, warm, stars.
Infinitely long snake, being of time. Events marked on it's scales.
Head adorn with branch-like horns, spreading against the dark backdrop of it's home.
Two eyes, one void of want and other bright with duty.
Twisted and uncomfortable, someone has knotted Time's tail.
Time closes it's eye, letting the other scan any potential aid.
Eye flickering, settling on a cyan box.
A cyan box, a cyan hope, a cyan slime.
Time closes it's eyes, sending itself into the Cyan Hope's dreams.
Looming over the dreamscape, Time says, "What have they been doing? What is the progress, Jevin?"
.
..
...
"What?"
...
"What do you mean 'What', False?" Iskall asked curiously, "Xisuma said we are to go with Silk!"
False shot the so-called 'Silk' a glare, the red cloak-wearing entity trekking the Nethends with ease. "But are we supposed to trust 'Silk'?"
"Yes, we are, False." Xisuma said, tiredness scratching at the edges of the half-albino man's voice. "Silk said she's trying to help. She is also a sibling of Time, if Grian has messed with Time itself, then it would know."
The dull red cloak Silk wore fluttered in a non-existent wind. She tipped her skull-like head towards X, careful not to accidentally poke him with her horns, "He speaks true words despite not knowing much."
False rolled her eyes and smiled mockingly, "Of course! Xisuma is one of the smartest admins there can be!"
Xisuma laughed awkwardly, flattered by the praise False sent his way. Iskall chuckled and added onto the praise, "Xisuma is such an amazing admin! He can fix any glitch and he is such an amazing friend!"
"Nooo... I am no where close to that, Iskall." Xisuma rolled his eyes in a mocking way.
The trio shared a laugh, but it was cut short after Silk spoke. "Not exactly... Your admin here would probably be one of the top 20 smartest admins. As for what Iskall said," Silk continued, looking down at the orange stone, "I'd love to believe it, but then again, you three are here because he couldn't prevent a Time-Traveler from hopping back in time."
Everyone frowns at the Vyrmm's negative statement. It made False angry, how could this... thing just walk in on their jokes and knock Xisuma's status around like it was nothing?
"And X said that Vyrmms are supposed to be benevolent and kind..." False spat at Silk, who didn't even look guilty or upset with herself. Silk only looked ahead, humming to False's statement.
"See what I mean?" was all Silk said.
The group fell into silence as the spider-like Vyrmm guided the group to the Weaver Village. Suddenly, Silk stopped in front of a large dip in the lands. The bottom of the ravine littered with spikes. She jumped off and into the dip, shortly, a silver blade stuck onto the other edge of the terrain, reeling Silk onto the other platform.
Silk looked back at the group, "Come on."
False grumbled, bridging over to the other side. Iskall trudged behind Xisuma as the two followed behind the blond-haired girl. Silk nodded at them and continued forward. As they walked along the terrible world, Stalkers would shoot violent glares at the group before Silk would motioned for them to not attack. False noticed that Xisuma fell behind Iskall, so she waited for him to catch up, her stormy blue eyes glazed with worry.
"Don't listen to her, she doesn't know anything about you." False said reassuringly, putting a hand on the green armored man.
Xisuma sighed, "But Silk does have a point... It's my fault that I couldn't... tell Grian not to travel back in time."
"But that doesn-" False was cut off right away.
"Yes, it is your fault." Silk said, a stoic look written along her face. Iskall opened his mouth to attack Silk's words but she silenced him. "But it doesn't mean you can't learn from your faults. If it weren't for your sins, what good deeds are there to do?"
For once, False actually agreed with the dull cloaked figure. She nodded, "Exactly. You can't be entirely good. But just because you can't be entirely good, it doesn't make you a bad person."
Iskall smiled and nodded, he shot a thankful glance at Silk and jogged up to his admin friend. Xisuma looked from Silk to False to Iskall. No one saw it, but everyone felt the smile on the admin's face. He nodded at Silk, sending her a silent message for her to continue guiding the group. The figure nodded their pale head in return, turning back and traveling towards a deep canyon. She looked at the group and beckoned them to come over. The Hermits raced to the Vyrmm's side cautiously. Xisuma and False looked down the deep ravine Silk motioned at, the bottom was obscured by a reddish fog, but the two knew that there was a floor somewhere down there. As False stared down the abyss, strands of the golden hair fell in front of her vision. She quickly swept it back behind her ears and stepped aside so Iskall can see. He gasped at the depth of the cavern, staggering back in shock.
Silk pointed down the the cavern, "We have to get down there. That's where the village is located." She pulled out a few silk ropes from under her red cloak. Silk set one end of the ropes on the floor, anchoring the ropes with her blade. She then thrust the other end of the ropes down into the abyss, Silk turned to the Hermits. "Use the ropes to get down. It's faster than mining down and safer than just jumping down."
False nodded, it'll be a pain to return to the Nethend Portal they created. There was no way she's dying OR traveling all those blocks back. Silk held onto the blade anchoring the ropes as she watched the blonde grab the rope and slowly descend into the ravine, towards the Weavers' Den.

POV Silk (Ooooo~ Never got a POV of a god before- :) )
Silk nodded to the cyborg man as he, too, descended into the darkness. She felt a rope under her feet slide a bit at the extra weight. Nothing too big, but Silk applied more pressure onto the ground, just to make sure that the rope doesn't slip. Just as the Admin figure took up a rope, Silk stopped him.
"Did you create that scroll?"
"Hm?" Xisuma looked at Silk, his eyes looked tired, stressed, worried. "Scroll...?"
Silk nodded, "Yes... those bees you summoned, those were from the scroll, correct?" X nodded, glancing down at the abyss below. Silk dipped her head down, "Apologizes, I was just curious. I've only seen those types of spell-casting techniques once, it looked very advanced- even for a Admin like you. You can continue downwards now."
Xisuma nodded and chuckled awkwardly, Silk could tell he didn't know how to respond to what the Vyrmm said. Silk nodded back at X and watched him descend into the abyss.
For what seemed like an eternity, Silk stared absently into the darkness. The Hermits were safely and quickly making there was down to the floor of the ravine, when suddenly-
snap!
At the sudden sound, the Spider Vyrmm's attention snapped back to the thread that anchored the Hermits. But it took seconds too long for the Vyrmm to register what happened. The broken thread then whisked away into the depths of the ravine. Silk's eyes widened as a shriek echoed from below. She quickly leaned into the abyss and grabbed the broken thread. Despite being a god-like figure, the momentum and weight from the falling Hermit dragged Silk forwards and off the cliff, leaving her dangling above certain death. Silk blinked multiple times and huffed as she tried re-anchoring it back to her blade.
Echoes of shouts could be heard from the ravine, and it made Silk anxious. The Vyrmm continued to hang upside down, a single thread and 6 of her arms keeping her from falling. Her grip on the broken thread was still strong, but Silk had no telling of when the rope would slip out of her grip.
"SILK?!" Xisuma's worried, desperate cry echoed off of the cliff sides, "WHATS GOING ON? IS EVERYTHING OKAY UP THERE?"
Silk closed her eyes, ignoring Xisuma's question. She tried heaving herself back onto the ledge, only for a loud snap! and a shrieking Iskall to follow. The rope was going to snap if Silk tried heaving the two of them back onto the cliff.
"SILK, THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" False yelled above the tumbling of rocks and worried mumbles.
You think I'd find this amusing? Silk thought angrily, her claws digging into the thread. She stopped to think for a moment, to form a plan that wouldn't hurt either of them. Shouts of worry, agony and desperation bounced off of each cliff-wall. To Silk, it felt like the Hermits have been screaming for days, but for the Hermits, it felt like these were the last seconds they could see Iskall before he fell . After moments of silence from Silk, she opened her eight eyes. Her gaze fell onto the tipping blade she called her own, it gleamed in an ominous way. It didn't shine like swords do when the sun gets caught in the blade. It didn't glow like items a player would drop after death. It gleamed with intention to slice something up to bits. It gleamed with intention to kill.
After staring at the blade meant for killing, Silk breathed in...
and then let go of the thread.
=================================
Teehee, cliffhanger :)
Anyways, it's nice to be back! Sorry for all the waiting, all of the next chapters are filled to the brim with lore, so I had to plan anything carefully. I might add some fluff/flashbacks, but :/
So... Silk... what are your opinions on her? Probably bad. But don't worry. I won't leave you hanging :)
Bye bye :)
