Nico lied to me. He said Octavian did it, but he actually did it. How could he be able to take Hazel's and Percy's heart and not feel guilty. He said he loved Percy. Lies. They were all lies. . . .

I bursted into his house as he started to ball. Why was he crying? Nico looked at me then shook his head. My eyes widened as I knew what was going on. Nico was framed. That was it. He did love Hazel. I found out Hazel was Nico's step sister, he would never kill his own sister. Even if she was the worst ever, which she wasn't. She was a kind, nice girl.

The other police around me started to close in then the unthinkable happened. Someone small Mexican man came in. He had a tool belt, curly brown hair, and a playful, childish smile. "Hiya, people. Sorry for the misunderstanding. The commander got the wrong house. The actual house is the next town over," he lied for Nico.

One of my squad members looked at him. "Who are you? And why do you say commander did. Commander, did you really?" She asked me. I kinda became the new commander of the squad when Percy died, heh.

I looked at the Mexican. He grinned at me and winked. He knew. He knew about me and Nico talking. He knew I'd stick up for Nico. "Uh, oops . . . Hey, I'm new, so . . . Don't expect me to get everything right. Let me straight things out with this young sir, then I'll catch up. Now go."

My squad looked at each other, with uncertainty, but then nodded and headed out. Mexican man came over to me and patted my back. "Knew you'd come through, Will Solace," he said. How'd he know my name? I'm sure I didn't say it when my and Nico were talking. How did this man even find out everything?

Nico looked at me and Mexican man. "Thanks, y-you guys," he said, wiping away his tears, but as he wipes them away it seems like they're multiplying, so he never had no tear eyes.

I nodded as Mexican man just grins more. "Yeah, well, we both know you didn't actually do it and Octavian framed you. So, we decided to help and set this little scene up, isn't that right, Will?" I looked at him, then nodded.

We both walked over the Nico and I just hugged him. I didn't like people being sad, and there was basically no one here, except Mexican man so . . . Hm.

Mexican man pulled me to the side and said, "hey, look. I know you don't me and I know a lot about you, but trust me. I'm not a stalker or anything. I'm McShizzle, okay? I know a lot because . . . Well, I got my habits. Just so happens to catch you two. So . . . Yeah."

McShizzle. . .  I've heard that before, but where, though? I sighed and nodded. He grinned. "Great!" He pranced over to Nico gave him a brotherly kiss on the cheek and skipped out. I watched him do all of it, so confused.

Nico looked at me and continued sobbing. I came over to him and hugged him again. "Hey, it's okay. You're . . . Crying about her death, aren't you?" I asked softly.

He sobbed harder and nodded, hugging back. He really didn't care if I was a cop, he only wanted someone to be with. I understood that. My father and Sammy pushed me away when I was young and I never really had someone to be there for me. I just wanted someone to be there for me, but no one was until I got the cop camp.

Npov

I sobbed and sobbed, Will hugged tighter and I dug my face into his chest. I tried to say something but only sobs escaped my mouth. I couldn't speak because of how hard I was sobbing.

Hazel was dead, police came in because they probably thought I was the one who did it, Leo came to my rescue with Will, Leo brotherly kissed me, Will came over and hugged me. This all was a chain reaction to me not doing what Octavian wanted. He wanted me to do something awful and I refused, that's all. Why did Octavian go all psycho?

Will shushed me with a very tight hug, so tight I couldn't breathe. I gasped for air as my eyes went wide. "I-I can't breathe!" I yelled. Will smirked and said, "I know."

Will started hugging me even tighter and I screamed, he was starting to break my ribs. Suddenly, Will turned into Octavian and glared at me. "YOU REFUSED, NOW YOU DIE!" He yelled and I screamed louder, trying to get away from him.

I screamed again and again. Will was Octavian? What was happening? Oh, my gods, there was so much pain. No, no, my vision got blurry and my struggles to get free slowed. My lungs flooded with blood. My rib ripped holes in my lungs, making my not be able to breath. I was gonna die. I was gonna die.
