Chapter Twelve

Loki:

I saw Captain Connors walk around the corner, he looked annoyed but I also notice that he was empty-handed. I went over to him proudly and then cleared my throat. He stopped and turned to look at me.

"Yes Prince Loki?" He questions with slight venom in his voice.

Well that wasn't very nice nor the way to speak to royalty.

"I see that you are back Captain," I state.

He rose his eyebrow and folds his arms across his chest.

"Well noticed." He comments sarcastically under his breath.

I rose my own brow when he said this.

His tone wasn't very friendly and he didn't seem to be in the best of moods.

"So where is she?" I question as he smirks at me letting out a small sigh, his eyes shining with amusement.

"Where's who?" he asks me back.

He was trying to clearly annoy me and it was working, he shouldn't be playing games with a God.

I squint my eyes, my stare glaring into his own eyes.

"You know who," I inform him, anger underlying my tone.

He simply shrugs his shoulders, smirking, before taking a step back to mock me.

What a dangerous game indeed.

"Do I?" He taunts becoming too cocky for my liking.

We have never got along but now he was wanting a death wish, just like many others he favoured Thor over my presence and that just aggravated me further.

"Where is the girl?" I demand now getting angry.

He again shrugs his shoulders and waved his hands outwards.

"What girl?" He replies innocently.

I grit my teeth.

Stay calm Loki, don't kill him, don't kill him for his ignorance.

"The girl you went to fetch."

His eye's lit up, thus meaning that his eye's got lighter again.

"Oh, that girl... Katrina," he says testing her name on his tongue.

I watched as his eye's got lighter when he said her name.

"Yes, now where is she?" I ask him slowly getting impatient at this game of his.

He must understand that I am the Prince of Asgard and nevertheless a God.

"I don't know."

Now I was angered.

My body stiffed and I started to walk towards him, my pace was slow but my steps were deadly.

"You do know that I am your Prince and you shall not lie to me," I warn him in a deadly tone before taking another threatening step towards him.

"And?" He questions not seeming to care.

I chuckle darkly.

"And that I am the God of need I remind you Mischief and Lies." I point out.

He takes a step towards me.

"Meaning?" He asks through gritted teeth, it now seems that I have struck a nerve.

"That I could squash you like a bug and you would be dead," I state.

My voice had turned dark and I didn't like the way he acted towards me.

"Try it..." He dared and that was when I smirked and a green glow sent him flying into the wall across from me.

He lifted his head up and growled.

His eyes were still a light brown and he came towards me.

The next thing I knew was that I myself was sent flying.

Stupid Loki...

I flew into the room opposite me and fell on the floor with a thud and Connor's landed on top of me with a growl. He was about to hit me but I dodged his blow and we were in one simple word.

Fighting.

"Oh, Lord..." I heard a familiar voice say.

But I'm guessing so did Connors. He lifted his head up and stopped growling. His eyes seemed to turn back to their original dark brown. He then got off of me and looked in the direction the voice came from.

I stood up and brushed myself down. My hair was all over the place but I didn't care. There in the arm's of Sargent Connors was Katrina.

"Seriously, I leave you for ten minutes and you're trying to tear the Prince of Asgard's face off!" she shouts at Captain Connors.

He whines softly looking down ashamed that she had told him off.

I found this peculiar but smirked all the same.

This woman amused me to no end.

"And you can stop smirking."

Oh shit...

I stop and come face to face with an angered Katrina.

"You probably angered him. Now both of you behave or else I will jump down and slap you both so hard you will find yourself on Midgard with Thor," she warns, her voice deadly.

Well... She is feisty.

Katrina:

I look at both of them.

Will had calmed down and Loki was staring at me.

I raise my brow looking between them both.

They really couldn't get along, could they?

I had had enough.

I sigh, closing my eyes trying to calm down.  I glance up and notice that Killian had a smirk on his face.

"You sure you don't have the bark of a dog?" he questions jokingly as Will snaps his head up at his brother's remark, glaring at him.

"Shut up, Kill," I groan out, gently pushing him playfully.

"When did you two become so friendly?" Will questions, his tone reflecting that he was a little jealous.

"Oh? Me and the Princess kind of bonded when I brought her back to the palace, we even have nicknames!" Killian cheers as I roll my eyes.

"Nicknames?!" Loki questions looking between us both.

"That's beside the point! Now would you please tell me why you were fighting?" I ask them both changing the subject, Loki was the first to speak.

"I simply asked if he had found you and he didn't answer me," he explains as I now turn my attention to Will.

"I didn't answer him and may have wound him up... But he shot magic at me first!" Will points at Loki like a small child.

"I was clearly proving a point," Loki said back to him.

"What that you could use some voodoo on me?" Will shouts back mockingly.

"It's not magic voodoo it's an energy source that you will never be able to conjure up. Only a few can with the ability."  Loki retaliates back.

"Oh, Jesus Christ..." I mutter.

"You're like children," Killian says after looking between his brother the youngest Prince of Asgard.

"Do you want to see what kind of abilities I have?" Will asks growling trying to intimidate Loki.

"Why are you growling? Are you a dog?" Loki asks him.

I slap my forehead.

Killian was amused and Eire just stood there watching them both.

"WOULD YOU BOTH JUST SHUT UP!" I shout in anger.

Silence fell into the room and all eyes were on me.

"Now if you two would just stop arguing, Eire would you please heal my head and ankle?" I ask her politely.

She nods her head and Killian placed me on a bed.

Loki and Will walk forward.

I notice Loki frown when he sees my head and ankle.

"What happened to you?" He askes softly.

"Don't even ask her, she will lie to you anyways,"  Will replies back bitterly.

I was taken back by his words and then looked down.

"Will?!" Killian hisses at his brother angrily before smacking the back of his head and dragging him away angrily.

"She tripped in the woods and fell my Prince," Eire replies repeating the lie Killian had told her.

He nodded his head and clearly she wasn't lying as she believed the Sargent of the Army.

Loki looks down at my head and then at my ankle.

"Here let me heal you," he offers kindly.

"Loki there is no need to do that. I don't want you to waste your magic on me," I tell him but all he does is shake his head, disagreeing with me.

"I wouldn't be wasting my magic," he says sweetly looking at me with a warm smile.

I was just about to protest we he moved his hand over my head and then over my ankle.

A warm sensation of green energy went over them and healed them straight away. I look over at him in shock as he places his hand gently on my cheek as a small blush spreads across my skin.

"Thank you, Loki." I thank him sincerely.

Eire smiles at both of us before leaving us alone in the room.

"Now are you going to tell me what really happened?" He asks me.

I look up at him and then decide in that moment that I would need to lie to him. I may trust Loki but I don't want him to hate me, I didn't want him to find out about my inner beast. I didn't want him too afraid of the monster that I was, so I decided to lie, protecting him and more importantly... myself...
