Chapter Eighteen: The Hooded Nightmare

Kaitlyn:

I wake up to feel my limbs tied tightly to the arms and tied of an ice-cold steel chair. Panic settles into my body, as my anxiety levels rise at the confusion of the situation I am currently in.

No one is around to save me and I am all alone.

I try to move but the bind tying me prevents me from breathing calmly let alone move around to supply oxygen to my much-needed ligaments. I cannot do anything but sit and pray for someone to save me, I feel like a damsel in distress, something I was not used to.

"Oh, here kitty, kitty, kitty..." a singing voice mocks in the distance. My head snaps to attention as I try desperately to see how was speaking, who had captured me.

"Katrina," the voice speaks directly beside my ear as I shiver in fear, the hairs on my airs rising.

"W- who are you?" I ask, my voice shaking as the words slur from my lips.

The voice cackles and it echoes through the air, seeming to get further and further away from my strapped up body. But as the laugh fades away I hear moaning and struggling. I try to locate the sound with my hearing but fail. That is until I pinpoint it directly in front of me.

"Hello?" I question, listening to the struggling in front of me.

A bright spotlight shines in the centre of the room and I see two men tied up and a piece of cloth shoved into their mouths, muffling their speech.

The first man I see has grey and blonde hair and his eyes are dark chocolate. He is well built and looks to be wearing strange clothing, strange but recognisable. The other man has dark black and gold hair. His light ice blue eyes staring into mine almost pleading. The two men showed some resemblance to one another, maybe they were cousins? Brothers?

"He raises his muzzle to the bright full moon.

He howls his lonely song.

The call of the wild.

That all too soon

Echoes...

And is gone..."

The same dark voice says as I hear footsteps approaching me. I look around frantically and then feel a presence behind me. I tense when I feel two icy hands place themselves on my shoulders, the thumbs of the figure's hands rubbing gentle circles into my blades as I inwardly cringe.

"Hey! Get off m-" I begin to snarl in anger but am stopped mid-sentence when the stranger walks around and stands proud in front of me. I cannot see his face as it is clouded by a dark hood. But his voice I can hear clearly.

"My little kitty made some friends a long time ago, back when she remembered who she was," the male voice mocks.

"Who even are you?" I question tugging on the golden chains that bound my flesh.

"These two people were your friends my little kitten, but you do not remember them, correct?" he asks me, ignoring my question completely.

I stare at the other two men again and shake my head, I have no idea who these people both were.

The figure chuckles and snaps his fingers.

"Speak boys," he orders with amusement in his tone.

The material around their mouths both vanishes as I watch as both men lick their dry lips before staring directly at me.

"Katrina? Oh my god! What happened to you?!" the blonde-haired man asks me frantically. The other man nods his head in agreement with the blonde's statement.

"We were so worried. When Lo-" The raven-haired man stops speaking when the material appears around his mouth again.

The figure tuts and waves his finger at him.

"Now now Killian... You shouldn't be such a spoiled sport. She cannot know everything that she doesn't remember," the figure warns darkly.

The blonde looks at me and then at the figure.

"What are you talking about? Katrina knows us, don't you Katrina?" the blonde asks in confusion. He looks at me with his chocolate eyes pleading for me to answer as I shake my head.

"No, I'm sorry. I have no idea who either of you are or why I am here. And who is this Katrina everyone keeps speaking about?" I question in confusion pulling my restraints.

The blonde looks at who I think is known to be Killian and they both have a deadly look in their eyes.

"What have you done to her you son of a bitch!" the blonde shouts, his eyes turning a lighter shade of brown as a small growl emits from his throat.

"Now now William, don't be like your brother and ruin the fun. Little Kaitlyn here just doesn't remember you or anything apart from her life on Midgard," the figure simply states, shrugging his shoulders.

A low deadly growl rumbles through the air as I see William's eyes get lighter by the second.

"KAITLYN?! MIDGARD?! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU... I WILL KILL YOU!" William shouts in anger and growls even more as he tries to move the restraints.

The hooded figure turns back to me and smirks.

"This is why they both have silver chains tying them together and you have gold," the figure states as I look down at my chains.

"Why gold?" I question as the figure chuckles shaking his head.

"It's the only thing preventing your beast from emerging," he says cynically leaning down and placing a cold calloused hand on my cheek.

"Get the hell off of her, you son of a-" William continues to cry in rage which in return seems to irritate the figure.

"Listen here mutt, if you do not quieten down, I will kill you and you're brother from where you sit," the hooded figure warns with venom in his tone.

I see both William and Killian growl at this and the metal chains start to turn a bright shade of red. They both start to hiss and grunt in pain and tears fall from my eyes. I start to whine out and growl myself.

But why? Why am I crying for these two people I have never met?

"Will!" I shout out, the words falling out of my mouth before I can stop them. His eyes flicker to my own and then a single tear falls from him.

Just as he is about to say something to me I feel dizzy. I moan in pain and something stabs at my head.

"It's time to know wake up Katrina..."

*****

I jump up and look around, the last thing I remember is Clint throwing me into this cell and myself falling to sleep. I have sweat running down my body and feel physically and emotionally broken. I look down and see that I am back in my human form, I had somehow managed to change back.

Sighing, I rub my eyes before standing to my feet and begin to pace around the cell.

Something is off though.

That dream felt real and for once, I remembered it as clear as day.

Everything I had experienced in that dream felt so real. Those two people, William and Killian, I think I know them. But that's impossible. And who is Katrina? Who was that hooded figure and why did the hooded figure call me Katrina?

Everything has been strange since I woke up at the hospital from my attack.

I have some weird purple light stuff come out of my hands and my tigress form is becoming a lot harder to control. I have also had weird dreams every night and headaches keep occurring. I'll admit, I have never been good at controlling my other side, the beast, but something is now different. But I am sure it is nothing. I sigh and hear the door to my cell squeak open. I turn and see Clint at the door. Blue eyes instead of brown. I growl at him and notice the purple flow in my veins.

"What do you want?" I hiss at him.

He looks at me emotionlessly and walks forward and then grabs my wrist, I struggle and start to fight him but I find myself weak. He flips me onto my back and clasps a cuff around my bone. I scowl at him as he pulls me up and makes me walk ahead of him. To ensure I do not move or do anything stupid, I feel a gun pressed against my back.

"And here I thought we were friends, asshole," I mock as I roll back my shoulderblades walking forward with pride.

Clint continues to push me forward until I am in a room with many SHIELD agents and the Tesseract. I look around and see all of the agents have the same colour eyes as Clint, they must have been all brainwashed.

"Ahh Agent Barton, I see you have brought our guest," a familiar voice calls. I see the same man from before and growl at him. Loki smirks at me and then shakes his head.

"So she does remember me then," he says with a smirk walking up to me with his spectre in hand. He takes my chin and Clint holds me by my wrists behind my back so I cannot move.

"She has only just woken up Sir, she passed out just after I put her in the cell," Clint informs Loki. I stare at Loki as he looks into my eyes.

"The mortal who can turn into a tigress, how interesting. Your gifts shall be of use to me," Loki tells me and then lets go of me.

"Like hell, I would ever help you," I snarl bearing my teeth.

"Take her to the car, we have a long journey ahead of us," Loki orders Clin, smirking at me as I pull against Clint.

Clint nods his head and pushes me forward, I struggle and turn my head one final time to meet Loki's eyes.

"Where am I going?!" Loki stops in his tracks, turns around and grins at me.

"We're going to Germany..."
