time to rebuild and reflect
After the storm all three kids and their mothers reflect on what life has brought to them.
Where are all six you left alone and lost. But they found each other first as friends and then became a little family. The storm helped remind all of them that what's important is the love they share for each other they can rebuild grow and then and move on to the Future.
As the children help the community rebuild and make it better than before they remember what it was like to be alone without a family. So it's important that you remember although you might lose things
As the kids are going around picking up debris around the town if I find a few old surfboards. Molly comes up with the great idea to fix up the surfboards and then they can sell them at the farmers market or donate them to the orphanage. After the kids think about it for all the five seconds they decide the orphanage would be the better I get they just say after they finish lunch they're going to go to the orphanage to visit some of the old friends there.
Visiting old friends especially some of the employees at the orphanage would be something really nice they can show how much they've grown and learned and maybe even get some of the kids to a join there non for profit. The unique creatures clean up crew could always use some volunteer helpers and a lot of the kids would enjoy your night out for a day out. The kids all drink their lemonade smoothies and laugh about their days back in the orphanage all the pranks that used to pull on each other.
Like when the girls used to put Saran wrap on the toilet seats so when people would have to go number one or number two it would go all over the place.
Or when they put ipecac in the teachers coffee and made them all get sick. Then the kids stayed up all night long eating candy and chocolate.
All three kids remember how each other help them when they were sad and crying because somebody didn't remember their birthday or Christmas was just another day on the calendar they would make each other a little crafts and make their special day even more special due to their friendship.
All three of them are laughing and crying at the same time remembering Good Times bad times and the times in between they drop off the recycling at the Salvage Center and collect $45. They all three rush home and tell their mothers their idea to bring some joy and happiness to the orphanage when Margaret Ann's mother comes up with the bright idea why don't we bake some treats for all the kids. Somali and her mother decide to make lemon squares and lemon bars. Margaret and and her mother decide to make chocolate chip cookies. And Brody and his mother make blueberry Donuts.
When the children were baking with their mother each mother shares a story of overcoming obstacles.
While making their lemon squares mom is mother tells her about how when she was a little girl her dad would force her to be perfect in gymnastics he was her coach and not a very good father he would yell at her and make her feel bad when she didn't win and push all the other girls to the brink of exhaustion. This is why she always tells Molly and all the girls and boys at the gym just to do their best to be athletic to try but it doesn't matter if they win a gold medal bronze or silver just as long as they're having fun and learning to be the best person they can be. You should always work hard and want to be the best you can be and if you win that's great but even if you lose you can still be a champion.🏆🏆🏆🏆🏅🥇🥈🥉
Next up is Margaret and and her mother as they're making the chocolate chip cookies and eating the raw cookie dough her mother tells market and the story of when she was in graduate school working on her Ph.D. she was alone in the library with her professor and he tried to kiss her and touch her inappropriately. She knew that it was wrong and that she shouldn't allow them to do this but she felt powerless eventually he did overpower her and attempt to have his way with her when she hits him over the head with the biggest book she can find War and peace. He gets knocked out and she collects herself and her belongings and weaves running home crying she never tells anybody what happened she leaves the program and never gets her PhD. She gets a job at a local bookstore and learns from a wonderful mentor how to love books again. Mr Billingsley was a wonderful man who taught her everything you know about running the bookstore and the post office he was like a father figure to her and when he passed away five years ago he left her everything the house the bookstore the license to run the post office he never knew how much he saved her but without him she would never be where she is. Margaret was in shock but she just realize how much stronger her mother is than she ever thought she hugs her mother and cries with her the two of them feel closer and have bonded even more now when they make chocolate chip cookies it means more than just a sweet treat.🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
In the third house is Brody and his mother making the donuts. She tells him a story about her mother and father would fight all the time he would drink and she would throw things. It was not a very good home life. She would run away and live in random places like the park underneath the bridge or even climb the fence to the elementary school and sleep in the jungle gym. She left her family the first chance you got and running away over and over always just to return by the police the school or social worker. Nobody would ever listen to her about her difficult home because her father was a powerful businessman and her mother was a socialite. Because you live in a beautiful home everyone thinks you have a beautiful life. But when I would run away and sleep in the park or underneath the bridge or at the playground I would always stay warm by cuddling up with the Stray animals. I never felt like I had a home so I decided after I left a school that I would help all the animals that used to help me find their forever home because I couldn't keep them all.
Brody comes to the Revelation that's why his mother picked him he was one of the Lost that needed to find his forever home this is why she care so much about the animals.🐶🐶🐺🐺🐦🐤🐾🐾🐢🐸🦎🐍
Hearing these stories remind the children that although they had a difficult upbringing beginning to life so do others and remember that you must turn a bad experience into the best thing you can. The children are more motivated to visit their old friends and caretakers at the orphanage to bring smiling faces some sweet treats.
When they kids pile into the car with their mothers and Margaret Ann's mother starts up the van the six of them sing show tunes all the way to the orphanage when they pull into the parking lot the children seem to be everywhere. They carry the trees into the orphanage and let the staff know why they are here.
The staff is happy to see the three children and how well they're doing and how they have bonded with their new mothers and how they have still stayed together and became a little family.
The old principal / director of the orphanage reminds the children that. What makes the family is not the blood of the DNA that you share its the love the memories the friendship and kindness that you build together overtime.
Many of their old friends at the orphanage are no longer there they have either aged out and have moved on in the world or just like them were adopted and now have a new loving family to take care of them but there are a lot of new faces and a few old friendly faces of children still waiting to find that special place before the children leave the staff ask them to take a photo of the three of them together and put it on there Hall of Fame of the children that have been there but have been adopted and now are doing much better. The children agree all three are wearing their unique creatures clean up crew shirts they turned around to show the back what has the name and their logo with the Unicorn mermaid and shark🦄🦄🦄🦈🦈🦈🏄🏼♀️🏄🏼♀️🏄🏼♀️🏊♂️🏊🏻♂️🏊🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️
This was a great day where the children were able to see old friends and make new ones. Today was happy and sad they were able to bring joy to some children and staff I also reminded them how lucky they are they have found each other the mothers are happy we have their kids the kids are happy they have their moms but they will remember that there are still many children and many adults that still have not found each other.
After seeing all the debris in garbage from the storm that you didn't decide the next place they need to go clean up is there old home there are plenty of things that they can take in used for salvage or they can recycle it they can use all the staff and the kids at the orphanage to help make the clean up a success Margaret and Molly decide to have their mothers help them make up Flyers to post around town to see if they can get more volunteers to help the kids in need.
