Chapter 6 |---|First Mission|---|__Part One|---|Of Two__

Our first mission, is to go after the Ando tribe. You all know these people. They're wicked, and will stop at nothing to defeat us. I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but if someone falls, we will not go after them. Is that clear?" She explained. Everybody nodded their heads again. Why wouldn't you come back for a fellow teammate? I didn't understand why and I was too nervous to ask.

I didn't know if I wanted to be apart of this anymore.... Or did I?

Azaria's POV

Tanara was now going through the large group of recruits making sure everybody was up for the job. When she finally got to me, I nearly panicked. What was I going to say?

"Avatar Azaria, are you sure you're up for this mission?" I gulped. I didn't know if I was or not. So I decided not to reply.

"Are you up for it?" She asked again. I didn't answer. Tanara finally gave up and motioned for everybody to follow her outside. Right before she closed the door, I spoke finally and said, "I'm up for the challenge."

The sky became dark as we traveled through the dark woods using the moon as our only light. As we walked, I stared into the massive banana-shaped moon.

I had never heard of the Ando tribe. I had no idea who they were, or how evil they were. So I decided to come clean and admit my ignorance.

"Forgive me for asking, but, exactly, how bad is the Ando tribe?" Tanara looked at me with wide eyes.

"You've never heard a story?" She questioned.

"No...not exactly." I told her, feeling a twinge of stupidity.

"It's okay. But I'll tell you later, this mission requires great focus. And you will most likely learn a lot from this encounter. These Ando's can be deadly." She told me with a stern face. I nodded my understanding, all the time wondering, what kind of benders were these Ando's.

When we finally entered Ando territory, I started to hyperventilate. I had never been in this situation before. Not to mention Tanara telling me that the Ando's were deadly. It was like a war, between two teams, in this case, The Crew, and the Ando tribe.

Tanara came to an abrupt stop and put her hand up in the air. That meant for us to stop. We did as we were told.

There were people snooping around outside. Some, that I figured were girls, wore aviator sunglasses with gold rims, silky gold button down shirts, gold leather skinny pants, leather black tab-collar jacket, gold metal ring boots, and black leather gloves. That was all I could see in the dark.

The people who I thought were boys wore brown, patch-front biker jackets, dark brown T-shirt, golden, leather pants, tweedy wool gloves, and brown studded engineer boots. They were pacing back in forth in front of a small cottage, as if they were expecting someone to jump out at them.

I heard a ruffling sound in a nearby bush. Someone else was hiding out too. One guy stopped and turned his head. Just to be safe, I closed my eyes, so they wouldn't have any chance of being seen in these low light conditions. I opened my eyes just a little, so I could see what was going on. The guy stomped his foot. And as if he could tell someone was there, he moved his leg slightly to the left and a guy in a white outfit came tumbling out of the bush. He was gripping his heart as though he was having a heart attack. The man in the white outfit squeezed a few stands of stray grass with his free hand. He moaned in agony. The guy who stomped his foot still had his leg turned. I didn't know what was going on. When he turned his leg again, the man stopped gripping his heart and fell to the ground. My first thought, was that he was dead. The guy who stomped his foot turned his head as if to check if anyone was watching, but his teammates, I thought they were, just acted like he wasn't there. I'd been so focused on the little action scene that I hadn't noticed that Tanara had both of her hands over her mouth, as though she knew exactly what he was doing.
