When I opened the door, I was greeted by all of my friends, yelling, "Happy Birthday!"

Azaria's POV

"Thank you!" I exclaimed. That was the happiest I had sounded all this month.

"No, thank you! You're the avatar, we should be thanking you!" Keneo grinned from ear-to-ear.

"You didn't have to -"

"Yes we did!" They all said simultaneously. I roll my eyes and smile.

"You look nice in that outfit, by the way." Rolock blushes. I moved toward his face and the rest of my friends quieted down. I kissed him on his cheek and when I pulled back, he was blushing heavily. I hugged Rishelle, Adele, Raven, and Keneo. I walked up to Takaro.

"You helped me perfect my earthbending." I bowed to him. "Thank you, Takaro." I hugged him, and he hugged me back.

"It was my pleasure, avatar Azaria." I pulled back from the hug and looked at all of my friends.

I knew we could do it, together...

My friends, my mentor and I went to the dinning room table and sat down at the table.

In front of us, was a plate laden with eggs, sausage, grits, and toast. My mouth watered.

After we said the prayer, I grabbed my fork and stabbed an egg. I brought it to my mouth and put it in. It tasted great. I picked up the sausage and bit it. It was even better. I grabbed the toast and bit into it. It put all three of the foods, the eggs, and the sausage together. I scooped up some grits and put them in my mouth. A few grits fell on my shirt. Adele giggled. I giggled also and dabbed at the stain with my napkin.

After a few more bits, my food was done and I asked to be excused. Takaro nodded yes and I put my plate in the kitchen sink. I walked outside and sat on the porch of the building I had never seen before.

Suddenly, I was reminded about the gift Korra told me about.

What gift could it be? Not one in a package. I reasoned in my head. A new power? A new part of bending? Avatar state? I was stumped. I had no clue what gift Korra was talking about. I decided to put the thought away for the time being.

I got up, walked about two feet away from where I was sitting, and did an about face. The building, or house, was nice. It had brown siding and five windows. I couldn't help comparing it to Sefur's mansion, which was so much bigger. But I wanted to be thankful.

I turned back around and noticed, for the first time, that this was a beach front house. I walked down to the beach, slipped my feet out of my sneakers, and sat down in the sand.

It felt good to forget about Ando's, and Emoni, and Ramone, and Sefur. To sit down on the beach and stare at the sun.

A cool breeze caused my hair to fly up and over my face. I smiled and brushed it out of my face. I hugged my knees with my arms and looked out into the water. In the distance, I saw ships passing, and decided to wave at it, not expecting it to see me, it just was fun. But surprisingly, it did see me, I saw the captain wave back at me. He was barely a silhouette, but I could see his arm. I smiled.

I then thought about jumping in the water. I looked out into the ocean. The clear, blue water. Irresistible.

I ran towards the water, jumped, and dived into the ocean blue water. I swam around and saw fish and crabs and corrals. The water was warm, which surprised me, because usually, water is cool, not warm. I came up and smoothed my hair back, which was starting to get frizzy. Right then, Rolock walked out of the house. He looked at me, wide eyed. At first, I thought he was angry with me, but what he said told me otherwise.

"Can I join you?"
